tugu malang: "Best hidden gem in Indonesia"

Review by: Sarah W | Source: tripadvisor.com
"We're currently living in Jakarta, and sometimes you need a little getaway from the Big Durian. Malang is it - and this is the hotel to stay in. I loved everything about this place. The hotel staff are really friendly - arranging early check in and late check out with no problems and playing with my baby. The rooms are gorgeous, really comfortable beds, huge beautiful bathroom with really nice products, and wood floors (great for a crawling baby). The grounds are like a museum with so many places to walk and explore. The hotel is located in a very walkable location and the hotel staff are helpful with recommendations. The restaurant has the best Indonesian food I've had in Indonesia. They'll modify for vegetarians - try the Nasi Campur. The breakfast that's included is also incredible - you can order off the menu and take from the buffet - all included! The coffee is amazing - we took home 2 bags of beans, very reasonably priced. The afternoon tea that's included offers a wonderful selection of Indonesian snacks to try and great tea and coffee. They include a welcome massage of 15 minutes, and we bought a full massage, which was really high quality and totally worth it - and reasonably priced. "

Kinugawa Kanaya Hotel: "Beautiful Hotel, Excellent service, Delicious food"

Review by: George B | Source: tripadvisor.com
The Hotel has a beautiful elegant feel about it. The staff were extremely helpful. If there were language difficulties there was always someone at hand to help out and the food was elegantly served. Our room at its private Onsen that made it even more special.

Sea Dance Resort: "More incredible than the pictures depict, Should be a 5 start resort!!"

Review by: Jacqueline C | Source: Trip Advisor
This hotel was AMAZING! After staying in other "4 star" resorts on various islands and arriving to properties that did not come close to our expectations, we weren't expecting anything to write home about. Needless to say we were more than pleasantly surprised with the quality of this resort. The bathrooms are GORGEOUS, facilities are clean, and the pool was luxurious and beautiful. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, they even brought us complimentary boozy popsicles while we lounged by the pool! If you want to stay somewhere that is far enough from the town that you can experience a hidden oasis, yet easily access the town for dinner/shopping/etc. with a $4 taxi ride, then this is the perfect place for you.

Maduzi Hotel: "Best small hotel in Bangkok"

Review by: Scott G | Source: Trip Advisor
"I visit Bangkok 8 - 10 times per year on business, and have stayed in most of the CBD hotels over the years. I am also in the hotel business, so I tend to be quite picky about room design, service, and F&B.. This hotel has it all: Great location 5 minute walk to both BTS and MRT, extra large well-designed room with separate entry foyer for privacy, large bathroom with big shower and jacuzzi tub, and walk in wardrobe. Original paintings and antique carpets for a decorative touch, Bose sound system for music or movies, in room espresso maker, and free mini-bar for snacks and refreshments. Common areas include a beautifully appointed living room which is the perfect spot for relaxing with a book - or meeting with VIP clients. The restaurant provides semi-private dining areas, separated by bookshelves stocked with books on design, culture, and history. Best hotel breakfast in the city - fully a la cart menu features a great selection of dishes from black truffle quiche to Japanese confit of rainbow trout to home made granola and yoghurt with goji berry sauce - served until 2:00 pm. Twenty-four hour room service menu is good quality and fairly priced. The highly efficient staff work well as a team (the sales and marketing manager served my breakfast twice) and are super friendly. Special mention to Khun Poom who seems to be everywhere at once and is a master at arranging ground transport or fulfilling other special requests. Staff English proficiency is substantially better than most hotels in Bangkok. Complimentary early check-in or late check-out upon request, a very competitive room rate, and perks for direct booking / returning guests - no other hotel in the city comes close in terms of value, ambiance, service, and location. Stayed January 2017, traveled on business"

Inle Princess Resort: "Wonderfully relaxing"

Review by: CathyG69 | Source: tripadvisor.com
We felt at home as soon as we arrived at this lovely resort. We had a lake view chalet close to the boat dock but there was no noise disturbance as boats are not allowed to use power engines when approaching the resort. The room was spacious and had everything that we needed. We loved sitting out on the verandah and taking in the lovely views. The resort handicraft centre is great if you want to try your hand at pottery, Shan paper making, weaving or a range of other handicrafts. The food is very good and the service excellent.

Misool Eco Resort: "Paradise"

Review by: Anne H | Source: Trip Advisor
"The Raja Ampat is an unspoiled jewel in Indonesia’s crown. It offers mile after mile of unspoiled natural beauty with its hundreds of mushroom islands and magnificent marine life . It had a sea of never ending spectacular coral which Australians say far exceeds the Great Barrier Reef. I shall return soon to experience the excellent hospitality of the Papuans."

Locavore: "Amazing artistic creative food"

Review by: Ron K | Source: Trip Advisor
"This was our fourth visit to Ubud just to again experience the wonders of Locavore. Their cocktails are wonderful, our California chardonnay was mind blowing, yet both faded into the background once we encountered 15 course of gastronomic delight. If you love amazing food and you visit Bali, don't miss the treat of lunch at Locavore, its world class"

Sanak Retreat Bali: "perfect for relaxing"

Review by: ErikaRyanM | Source: Trip Advisor
This retreat was so dreamy. The room is stunning, with the option to open up the whole room with sliding glass doors. Food was very good. We did the trek to a waterfall with Gusti ( our guide). He was so lovely, very smiley and friendly. He explained the local work and introduced us to the local people. We were delighted to have such a great tour guide. We also did a spa treatment, I have to say it was the best massage in Bali. This Retreat is surrounded by nature. It is so charming, I would recommend for light sleepers to bring ear plugs. The sound of frogs, birds and the river was very peaceful.

Manda De Laos: "An Oasis in the Middle of the City"

Review by: slyandvero | Source: Trip Advisor
"This is such a special little spot - it feels like a hidden oasis in the middle of the city! We arrived around 8:30 pm without reservations and were given a table right beside the lily pond. The lights reflecting off the water combined with the cool, lounge vibe, made it feel as if we had walked into a secret hideaway! In addition to the romantic atmosphere, the food was delicious - some of the best we ate in Laos. We are admittedly adventurous eaters, but the menu offers a wide range of dishes to satisfy any palate, including vegetarians. Definitely a bit more upscale compared to other restaurants, but as we were celebrating our last night in LP, it was totally worth it."

Reverie Siam Pai: "Stunning views & décor"

Review by: hannahhuget | Source: Trip Advisor
My husband and I stayed at Reverie Siam as part of our honeymoon trip to Thailand, and we have continued to rave about our stay there. Everything about this resort is beautiful--from the views of the mountains to the decorations in the rooms. The resort has a very relaxing atmosphere, and the staff couldn't be more helpful. If you are traveling in Thailand, don't miss the chance to stay here.
