Mie Cafe: "Red ants and beef a winner"
Yes, actual red ants served with the beef. Lightly sweet and full of flavor. The curry chicken was also a winner. Excellent service, clean, open all day while others are closed between lunch and dinner. The Cabochon Hotel: "A little Oasis in Bangkok"
"A wonderful stay in a good location with a 10 minute walk to 2 sky train stations. Welcoming and charming in a time warp back to the French 1920's style with great detail and awesome real local food and well priced. Little nooks to have breaky, read and chill were great as was the relaxing pool area. This is an 8 room hotel that can cater to about 16 rooms, truly unique, our room / lounge was superb. We felt like we were staying at friends and with a warm goodbye wave from the GM and staff on the steps confirmed this. Totally helpful staff and English spoken by all made life easy."David’s Kitchen: "Fantastic meal and service"
"Myself and two friends visited David's kitchen on a Saturday night, we did not have a reservation but David was very happy to accommodate us. He took the time to ask us about our trip and what our plans were, while also giving us advice on other attractions and bars in the area. The food and service was amazing, the best we've eaten on our trip. The staff regulately enquired as to whether we needed anything. The chocolate souffle an tiramisu were the best we've ever had. The staff were all kind and attentive, really setting the experience apart. The personal touches and attentions really made a difference and added to a wonderful evening."Tugu Malang: "Prachtig hotel met uitstekende voorzieningen en vriendelijk personeel"
Most excelent"
"Most amazing history and architecture; a truly east meets west in a unique blend that worked in C19th and is a place which has a feeling that has to be experienced to be believed. The current owners restored this place with meticulous detail to the most miniscule of reproduced effects, having to seek out craftsmen to work with a lost art. External feature details are fashioned from broken and shaped especially fired porcelain bowls. Colourfast beauty that will last potentially for centuries. The world should thank people with this level of vision to preserve such magnificent history. The history of the original owner, Cheong Fatt Tze is as fascinating as the building itself. We had the great privilege to meet and talk with owner, architect and one of the visionaries behind the Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion renovation which won the UNESCO Most Excellent Project, Lin Lee Loh-Lim. Passion personified! Check when Lin Lee Loh-Lim is conducting tours. Having stayed for several nights I can say the place and the staff are the most amazing I have ever encountered. Oh that we should all take so much pride in our work and enjoy it so much. The Restaurant with French fusion dishes is great value for money and excellent quality. This one liner is a total understatement. Yes I'm besotted with the Blue Mansion, its has been one of those experiences I will treasure and talk about for the rest of my life! Something I must say is that some of the surrounding property owners appear to have little respect for what the Blue Mansion represents and the leadership that properties of this calibre offer the future of Georgetown and Penang as a world class destination. I can only hope that the Penang City Council and Chamber of Commerce can work with all accommodation providers and landowners in the area to put sustainable noise abatement in place to enhance the experience and vision that has been so delightfully preserved in the Blue Mansion and the surrounding area. I'll be back to experience the charming ambiance of the Blue Mansion in the future. I wish the owners and staff every continuing success."The Island Lodge: "A dream spot in the Mekong Delta"
"Are you looking for a 6 star hotel in the Mekong Delta? You just found it! Nothing needs improvement. From the first minute we arrived a the hotel till the very last moment all was a dream of a hotel. Service excellent, rooms amassing, restaurant outstanding.... Nothing else to say. We stayed 3 nights from January 12 to 14 is a hotel located in an old restored traditional, beautiful harmony between style and TAII contemporain.Tres welcome and comfortable bath rooms with modern sanitary. no review á makeGlenburn Tea Estate: "Restful stay"
"We enjoyed our stay here very much. You can do as much or as little as you like. Our spacious room in the new bungalow faced onto the mountain ranges in the distance, over nearby Sikkim, and we could also look up to Darjeeling way above. We enjoyed our ""Bed"" coffee each morning. We visited Darjeeling, had a guided walk around the tea gardens plus walking there on our own, and a guided walk to the suspension bridge into Sikkim, followed by a very good lunch by the river. The food was very good in general, breakfast and lunch are served outside. We enjoyed the dinners in the old bungalow dining room with its huge table.Though communal dining may not be for everyone. Lovely place to stay, once you have arrived after the grim road trip there! Recommend timing flight in so that the drive doesn't need to be done in the dark. But worth it for a minimum 3 nights perhaps, we stayed for 5. Very much enjoyed our stay, a good end to a busy trip."Mie Cafe: "Amazing"
The food is stunning. the decor very modern. And, yes, as per other reviews, the tuna tartar is superb. We will be going back for seconds!Rice & Zen Boutique Resort: "A gem of a hotel"
Beautiful quiet resort not far from the liveliness of Chaweng. A very personal service from the best staff ever, who used our first names. Great breakfast & fabulous food, especially the set menu on Weds.
