Rachamankha: "Lovely Calm and Inviting"
We stayed three nights at the Rachamanhka and loved it. The room was spacious and we were by the lovely tranquil pool. It was so quiet we felt we were at our own private retreat. Paul the manager was most accommodating to our group and recommended the best restaurant which we were very grateful for. The entire staff was very welcomingmuang la: "A piece of heaven in the middle of nowhere!"
"After a rough first week of travelling and very cold weather, we were thrilled to spend a couple of nights here. Gorgeous room, with HEATERS and hot water bottles, tastefully decorated, lovely bathrooms, with home grown bathsalts. The setting is delightful, on the river, and the infinity pool on its own island was a good place to unwind with a book when the sun comes out. All the little hidey holes have access to drinks and snacks and service is never far away. The spa itself, with the two huge hot spring-fed pools are elevated so you have a view of the surrounding countryside and are a panacea for weary limbs, and the massage sets you up for the next part of the journey! The five course dinner is light and carefully crafted, full of flavour, and the cocktails inventive and yummy. Little braziers kept us warm while we ate, and a large boma-type fireplace was comforting for an aperitif. We had a long walk on our free day round the local Khamu village, and enjoyed seeing village life at a slow pace, the pace it is lived. Excursions can be arranged to nearby hill tribes, but we didn't know about that. Even though the local staff dont speak much English it is good to see the management trying to give back other local community by providing jobs and an enhanced local spa for the village. I can't rate this place highly enough "Cabochon: "Quite an experience – highly reccomendable"
"We found this unique hotel to be in a good part of Bangkok. Close to the Skytrain that connects you to most of the city and to/from the Airport. Very helpfull staff and overall great service level. As this is a boutique hotel with very few rooms, you really feel you get special attention. Nice rooms, with beautiful decor and a nice bathroom. Our room also featured a pleasant balcony (free minibar and fresh fruit daily by the way! Good breakfast as well) We especially liked the roof top terrasse with the large swimmingpool and stunning views of the city. A+ experience and highly reccomendable for those seeking a luxury feeling at very resonable rates."The Island Lodge: "Excellent stay"
"When searching for a good hotel for a weekend in-between business meetings in Manila and Hanoi, I found the Island Lodge, conveniently near HCMC where I needed to change flights anyhow on my travel to Hanoi. The hotel arranged for transport and I arrived after a 2hr drive from HCMC airport. The lodge is situated on the ""Unicorn Island"" in the Mekong Delta. Owner/manager Michel and team made sure I received a good welcome and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner. The lodge is in a quiet area with great, comfortable and well equipped rooms. There is a large swimming pool overlooking the river. The restaurant (also used for breakfast) is designed with great care and offers a very good choice of food, both Vietnamese and French. It is a great place to relax for several days or a (long) weekend. I also enjoyed a boat tour to My Tho, a city about 20 mins away from the hotel. The second day of my stay I took a 4 island boat tour which offered a great impression of the Mekong area and islands. In one word: excellent! Will try to visit again soon! Room Tip: There are also 2 bungalows with 2 bedrooms suitable for families"Villa Song Saigon: "Fantastic"
In January, we stayed for two weeks at Villa Song, and to be honest, it was the best holiday we've had in years ! Of course, Saigon is a beautiful and interesting city, but staying at Villa Song was the cherry on te cake. Never have we seen such friendly staff who did way more than just their job to make our stay memorable. From reception to housekeeping, everyone always had a smile on their face and was eager to help. A special "thumbs up" for the ladies (and gentleman) at reception - you were great ! We love you ! Above that, the hotel itself is a little gem : beautiful, calm, impeccably clean and ideally located in the nice Thao Dien district, away from the noisy and busy city centre. A complementary boat shuttle made going for a stroll and visiting the old town centre super easy. And last but not least : the hotel also has a fantastic restaurant with great food - definitely worth a visit ! Villa Song will be seeing us again :-) ! This is a special place, sitting in the middle of the river at the end of an island. It is right in the middle of endless groves of Longan and other fruit trees. The breeze from the river keeps you naturally cool as you enjoy some of the freshly baked goods and/or fresh Vietnamese food. Everything about this place was excellent: rooms, facilities, service, food. Just a couple hours from Saigon, this is a great getaway from the city. Plan to go back often.Rahai’i Pangun: "4 day / 3 night orang utan Boat trip"
"The boat was absoletly comfortable, the crew was very friendly, the guide very helpful and the food on board great. Go for 3d/2 night trip if you are in hurry and for a 4d/3night trip if you want to excplore everthing at a very leisure pace."Rice & Zen Boutique Resort: "Bliss a truely unique Boutique Resort"

"Just 18 bungalows/rooms, each beautifully and comfortably furnished with their own semi-outdoor bathrooms. Efficient air conditioning. Spa with a range of treatments and massages. An endless white sand beach. Good sized pool although more sunloungers might be a good idea. Yoga centre. Two restaurants to choose from: one on the beach which is especially fabulous at breakfast. Fresh seafood and lots of local dishes too. And everything is set in beautiful gardens. A truly relaxing place to stay. "L'hôtel sur pilotis le plus charmant du lac Inle, honnêtement tout est vraiment très bien. Le seul défaut serait peut être l'eau chaude qui met un peu de temps à arriver le matin ? Pour tout le reste c'est parfait, petit-déjeuner à tomber au lever de soleil avec une vue magnifique sur la région, staff très sympathique et courtois, établissement eco-responsable, des chats birmans, bref parfait !
