Muang La Lodge: "Worth the journey"

Review by: PaulaW2001 | Source: Trip Advisor
There is no way round it, this beautiful hotel is remote, it took us 5 hours to get there and the same to leave. However, the location is beautiful. The hotel is so well run, every detail is perfect. We loved the food as well.

Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "Exquisite mountain lodge situated 1000 feet above Pokhara Valley"

Review by: Bob92110 | Source: Trip Advisor
Stayed two nights at this marvelous mountain lodge that sits on a hilltop ridge overlooking the Pokhara Valley. Your "room" is actually a very spacious, luxurious, comfortable, hand cut stone bungalow blending naturally into their surroundings and sited to maximize the breathtaking vistas of the valley and Himalayas mountains. Each room has a private verandah and set in private gardens. There is an infinity pool with unmatched views of the mountains. The main lodge with both in and outdoor dining facilities and patios to enjoy the valley and mountain views is very, very nice. Our first night there were just three couples and we enjoyed a lively discussion over dinner. The second night had a large group of 19 guests which didn't "take over the space" since the bungalows are spread out and all very private. Most enjoyable stay here after our three days of trekking. Great place to begin your trekking experience or to recuperate afterwards. Most relaxing and the restaurant offerings are top notch, as is the staff and the manager, Mark. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Tugu Lombok: "Peaceful and wonderful view"

Review by: ReReNad | Source: Trip Advisor
"I was there 2 weeks ago for arranging dinner for the high level event. we couldn't stay there since the capacity of the rooms are not enough for all the participant. This hotel is proper location for those whose expecting peaceful environment. The food were delicious, the staff were so nice. And the facility was quite complete. At night, the lighting of the roof was so amazing, on the first sight I though it was cumulus. No it's because of the lighting to the statue on the roof."

Flower Island: "Flower Island: what a dream place to be"

Review by: Emilio2024 | Source: Trip Advisor
"Flower Island, a beautiful, serene paradise you do not want to leave, and if you have to do so by the end of your stay, you might have a little tear in your eyes... just beautiful in all respects ! The very friendly, helpful staff, the situation on this untouched island, the absolute beautiful beach, the happy, clean and pleasant ""house"" dog with its 2 puppies, the good food... what can one say more. The Flower Island..almost out of this world. One of the best places I have seen. Anytime again, better sooner then later!"

Tugu Malang: "Fijn"

Review by: Anneline N | Source: Trip Advisor
"Het is een groot hotel. Een groot deel wordt enkel gebruikt bij feestjes/evenementen. Leuk en mooi om eens door te lopen. Het hotel heeft een zwembad om even kort af te koelen. Geen zwembad om heel de dag aan te liggen. Eten is er prima. Zeer uitgebreide keuze menu's voor het ontbijt! Stayed March 2017, traveled solo"

Manda De Laos: "Lovely setting"

What a lovely meal sitting by the huge lily pond all lit up. The food was very good quality. A bit pricier than most restaurants but worth it.

tugu lombok: "Unique, thoughtful service in a stunning location"

Review by: JohnCole99 | Source: tripadvison.com
"We spent 3 nights in Tugu and were firstly impressed by the size and beauty of the property. The long stretch of private beach and two pools offer a lot of space and comfy sun loungers. The surrounding area and restaurant/ lobby is beautiful - very authentic and often pays tribute to the Hindu religion and times gone by, but is very charming. The service is excellent - they offer a very personal service and give great advice about hotel activities and the surrounding areas. Elly and Henry in reception are brilliant. The menu is extensive and the food was good. Smoothies and cocktails are excellent. We also enjoyed a private yoga class and massage - both were great and reasonably priced. If you are looking for sun, sea, sand, good food, service, activities - then this is the place! "

Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "history"

Review by: MarkW1960 | Source: Trip Advisor
"If you want that historical experience then this is the place to get it. there is no luxurious Hilton Hotel room but the charm & historical feeling is all worth it. The room is enormous & the bathroom although has modern shower taps the decor is from the era long gone. service is great & the food was good as well. Breakfast was included & consisted of buffet of fruit & cereals & a la-cart hot breakfast & first time I had a hotel say to me after I had finished my breakfast ""have you had enough, would you like some more?"" The house is also a museum & has daily tours & is very interesting to learn about the history of the house. its close to a lot of attractions including the wharfs & a short distance to all the famous Panang street wall paintings & art. Stayed December 2016, traveled as a couple"

Le Du Wine Bar & Restaurant: "Annual pilgramage"

Review by: SteveWhorfaroni | Source: Trip Advisor
"At least once a year we make our way here. We do that because the service is impeccable (no hovering but everything appears exactly when you need it). The food is inventive yet grounded. (Yes, there are things you might call ""molecular"" but they don't abuse it or make it silly) It reflects local culture in interesting ways. (Every year they introduce me to something in Thai cuisine I was completely unaware of. This always results in my seeking it out in street carts or local restaurants later. Khao Soi, Khao Chai. Moo Palo). The win list is brillliant. This is not cheap ( by Thai standards), but would stand up to any NY, London or Singapore 5 start. Do NOT miss this. And stick your neck out if they have a la carte (they didn't this trip - it was a wonderful fixed menu). For example. Pork Blood Chocolate pudding. Sounds scary. It's heavenly. You only live once and that should be well fed."

Tugu Lombok: "Quirky and very special"

Review by: Amanda H | Source: Trip Advisor
This is such a quirky hotel. I was slightly alarmed on guest impressions because this is definitely not a sophisticated, one dimensional hotel. This is a one off. Beautiful situation right on the beach, big rooms with outside bathrooms and plunge pools, huge grounds, two pools - the new one bring a large infinity pool with fresh water and I always had it to myself). Plenty of sunbeds so you never had to rush anywhere and the staff were all completely charming. We were made to feel very welcome and everyone knew our names. The manager was very visible and personable and, like all the staff, seemed to genuinely enjoy his job. A very special place. Recommend the BBQ on the beach (the staff went to great lengths to make it special and the food was fab). Also recommend Gillian Island snorkelling trip where we saw lots of turtles which was a highlight
