"This meets all the expectations mentioned in other reviews and is an exceptional training facility. Rooms spotless, restaurant deserves all the praise as do the staff. The downside for some who wish to relax and rest rather than be out and about all the time can be the noise of the boats going past during daylight hours as the engines can be noisy, and that to get anywhere you must take a boat as it is on an island not linked to the shore. While this was a not problem for me... it could be for others who travel differently. It is also a 1 hour by car, plus 1 by boat journey from Heho airport so early flights can be awkward. In saying the above.... I would still return for another holiday to the same hotel and recommend it to friends."Tugu Lombok: "It’s like heaven on earth"
"The room is delightful, the service is excellent, the atmosphere is like heaven, and the view is stunning.. We really enjoyed the visit, we stayed in Bhagavad Gita Room with personal pool and spacious bed. All over the hotel has beautiful antique furniture, sculpture, paintings, etc. That makes the hotel very unique and exquisite. We are glad that we picked this hotel for our first visit of Vietnam. A group of 10 love this hotel at the first sight we arrived. The team is so well trained and competent. Every hotel staff of frontdesk, restaurant, and also hotel manager are so helpful in arranging recommended restaurants, spa, shopping area, and transportation to make our first stay of Ho Chi Minh City wonderful! Hotel rooms are clean and comfortable. Each with unique design. The swimming pool open 24/7 and so we can have our mid-night gathering there! Breakfast menu is awesome. "This place is simply put great. Very much enjoyed the open/ lofty lobby and restaurant with a more tapas style cuisine and a really decent wine selection. Check the daily specials that are not on the menu. Very friendly staff. Live music at night or jazz through sound system. Rooms/houses are comfy, the outdoor space nicely done. This is our fourth visit to Hotel Tugu. Per usual the facilities/rooms/property is so well taken care of and the staff are attentive. A beautiful property, rich with history, culture and heritage. It transports you back to a different era once you walk past its gates. The tour is a must to appreciate the history of the mansion. Heaps of beautiful settings for unique photographs. Strategically located in the heart of Georgetown and walking distance to the famous Penang Street Art. "If you wish to visit Ping Yao while in China, this hotel is THE place to stay. It is, in fact, worth the trip, all by itself. Every time I visit Bangkok, Cabochon is my accommodation choice. In fact, I've stayed there five times. And each time, the experience was better than the last. I love the old world charm, chic colonial decor, delicious breakfast, and warm and sincere service. Its restaurant Thai Lao Yeh serves good Isan inspired cuisine. The shaved ice desserts are to diet for. The location is convenient, just 10 mins walk to Bangkok's newest mall EMQuartier. The very hip Sing Sing Theatre is a stone's throw away. Cabochon is a must stay if you love original non-cookie cutter hotels. I'll definitely be back!The Island Lodge: "Perfect Mekong retreat"
I spent one great night here on the banks of the impressive Mekong river. On arrival,as a business group, we were given a fantastic, warm welcome, inclusive refreshing towel and a wonderful "fruit cocktail" and tea. Check in was smooth and incredibly friendly. Michel and his Wife were on hand as part of the welcoming party. I had a very comfortable (the bed and the pillows were a perfect match for an excellent sleep) room overlooking the river. Pity we did not have our evening meal at the hotel restaurant since we had an outside appointment arranged. However, next morning I had a delightful breakfast, in the very pleasant restaurant surroundings. My hat off to the staff who created and added value to the short but memorable one nighter. If you are looking for something special on the Mekong this is highly recommended. Enjoy the Island Lodge!Satri House: "simply stunning"
