Maison Polanka: "Even better than advertised"

"To have seen the gorgeous pictures on their website and read the lovely descriptions, one might say “not possible”, but somehow, Maison Polanka manages to exceed one’s expectations --greatly! Our group stayed in the Khmer House and Green Room. Both are spacious and full of character, with an impeccable and sophisticated mix of contemporary and traditional decorations. But rest assured that here style does not come at the expense of guests’ comfort: Extremely comfortable beds; powerful and responsive AC; inviting bathrooms with walk-in showers; indulgent bed and bath linens and amenities; everything spotlessly clean; etc. (...) Service was extraordinarily attentive. At Maison Polanka, our needs and wants were not simply met, they were anticipated. A few examples of the innumerable gestures of hospitality and warmth extended to our group by Cathy and every one of the staff at Maison Polanka : Throughout our four-day stay (amidst the steamy and broiling heat of September ...), every single time we came back to the hotel, no sooner did we walk through the gate when we would be met with chilled towels and a smile; our group was eternally grateful for the abundant supply of chilled towels (with menthol) and bottled water that Maison Polanka so thoughtfully sent with our touring van; knowing our tight schedules, Cathy and Harold worked tirelessly and thoughtfully (and even with last-minute revisions) to be sure that our tours and shopping excursions met our interests; Cathy knew our flight details better than we, and she and Harold were the ones who kept checking with our airline for the most accurate updates while we shamefully lounged around; the yogurt at breakfast was so good, I offered a taste to a friend; within minutes, yogurt magically appeared on her tray. By the way, there is a great deal of talents in the kitchen at Maison Polanka where the preparations reflected a preference for refined nuances and where the presentation was visually stunning : We fell in love with Cambodian cuisine here (...) Glenburn Tea Estate: "Relaxing and beautiful"

"This is a stunningly beautiful hotel in an amazing location. The quality of rooms, service and food were all exceptional. Staff were friendly and helpful. We did a couple of birdwatching walks - one in the afternoon and one in the early morning - with a knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide. We also enjoyed a tour of the Glenburn tea factory, a walk down to the river and lesson in how to make momos - all with professional and friendly guides."

The Island Lodge: "The Reason to Visit the Mekong Delta"

This is a beautiful property with amazing staff and service! The room was very clean, modern and spacious. The service was impeccable, the food was outstanding, the spa was great, and the property pristine. The owner, Michel, reached out to us directly after we made our reservation and offered transfers from Ho Chi Minh City and back at a reasonable price, which made logistics easy. Michel and his wife, Francoise, also greeted us upon arrival, adding a nice personal touch to our stay. We highly recommend taking advantage of some of the activities offered by the Island Lodge - we did the Seven Bridges Bicycle Tour and it was one of the highlights of our visit to Vietnam. But stay away from My Tho proper, the city really has nothing to offer; just enjoy the lodge, the island, and the river instead. If you are traveling to the Mekong delta, I cannot imagine a better place to stay than the Island Lodge - simply amazing.

Villa Song: "Trusty amazing"

"Exceptional experience at Villa Song Saigon. Wonderful staff, amazing location by Saigon River and great restaurant. The Suite was nothing to compare. Highly recommendable and will come back. Thank you Vill Song Saigon."

Satri House: "A treasure"

We stayed at the Satri House for 4 nights. It is a former royal residence and one can experience the elegance of the former time. The hotel was recently renovated while in keeping with this charm. Our room was large and well-appointed - the rooms spread out among the beautiful grounds. The overall atmosphere is calming with a lovely dining area and reception rooms . The staff are very helpful and courteous. They genuinely want to be sure that you enjoy your stay.

Rahai’i Pangun: "Great crew"

"This was my first time traveling alone, and I wasn't sure what to expect when I arrived for this portion. But I absolutely loved it. The crew was great, the guide Tri was fantastic, and the trip itself was so relaxing and interesting. We saw many orangutans in the forest (including a baby!), visited Dayak villages, and had delicious meals three times a day- and that's coming from someone who considers herself a picky eater. I absolutely recommend this tour group (and especially the boat and staff I had). I'd also suggest you go while you can- you could see gold prospecting in quite a few spots. In order for them to get at the gold, they need to burn the forest down. It also leaves large mounds of white sand along the river. It's very sad, but perhaps with an up-tick in tourism, there will be a greater push for putting a stop to this? I'd like to add while it was disturbing to see, it did not make the trip less enjoyable. Rather, it just makes me want to get more involved."

Neeleshwar Hermitage: "Fabulous Neeleshwar"

"A truly wonderful peaceful place. Everything is beautifully done. The food is fabulous, and all the staff are sweet, helpful and smiley. Rooms are very comfortable and are situated in the gardens or facing the sea. You can totally relax. Sitting on the beach with your toes in the sand eating lovely grilled fish, is truly magical."

satrin house: "Super relaxing"

"Very comfortable rooms and good location. Service is impeccable and the whole setting is extremely relaxing. The staff are very helpful for everything and the breakfast is superb, unique and very colonial. Wonderful swimming pool too. Highly recommend it. "

Satri House: "Ooh, this Indochine feeling"

"Wanna feel like a character in an Indochine film-noir? Stay at the Satri House in Luang Prabang and you will likely grow into it! Or just stay there because the place is more than perfect. Very atmospheric rooms: nothing beats this early morning light coming into the room through these shutter doors. Dwell around those steps and shady arcades and gaze at all these decorating items - where did they get all those beautiful things from? Two swimming pools, very friendly, professional and helpful staff, beautiful garden, great restaurant - what else do you need? LP is on walking distance, but you can take a hotel bike too."
