Rak Ko Jae Seoul: "Wonderful Experience – Hanok in Bukchon"
This beautiful property tucked away in the Bukchon neighborhood of Seoul is an absolute gem! We had the opportunity to spend 3 amazing nites in the Rak Ko Jae, and during our stay we met Winnie, our fabulous and very accommodating host. She prepared amazing breakfastes and was so delightful to chat with. Loved our quaint sleeping quarters and the heated floors. Plus the supercool old school korean tub. So enjoyed just snooping around the amazing complex. I'm running out of superlatives to use! Also, check out the hot sauna, sweating until you cant keep your eyes open (in a good way!). We'll never forget our visit.Supanniga Eating Room: "Best Authentic Thai Food – new Fav place in Bangkok!"
Visited the Sathorn branch which is just a 7 mins walk away from Chong Nansi BTS station. Important note to book in advance for a place as it got packed pretty quickly, even had a table of ladies celebrating hen's night there. You can easily make a booking through their website. The food there is exceptional!! The ambience is nice with music and soft lighting. Portions are good for 2 pax and we were able to order a variety of dishes to share. They had the deep fried siakap fish with yummy garlic soy sauce and the pork in yellow curry was super yummy. For dessert, you must try the thai tea-flavoured panna cotta, which is literally melt in your mouth concentrated thai tea with smooth texture! Will definitely come back again!Muang La Lodge: "Worth the journey"
There is no way round it, this beautiful hotel is remote, it took us 5 hours to get there and the same to leave. However, the location is beautiful. The hotel is so well run, every detail is perfect. We loved the food as well.Jing’s Residence: "Exceptional charm and luxury In an ancient city"
After staying in wonderful luxury hotels in three cities in China, our arrival at Jing's residence was a delightful and very satisfying change. From the moment we stepped inside this lovingly restored boutique hotel we knew we were in for a treat. And what a treat it was! From the a decor that featured beautiful objects everywhere we looked and the rooms that provided every comfort to the charming dining room and terrace and well stocked bar, we felt well cared for and well fed. There was always a special surprise - such as the bag of honey dates waiting in the room to appease traveller's fatigue or the lovely handmade object left on the turned down bed at night. And the staff was incredibly cheerful and helpful. Our only regret was that we could not stay longer.Mie Cafe: "Excellent restaurant – Probably one of the best in Siem Reap!"
Restaurant located at the bottom of a beautiful and well manicured garden. Both service and food were excellent, comparable to certain gastronomic restaurants that can be found in Paris. We particularly liked the creativity of the Chef who subtly and successfully mixed Cambodian and Western food. We highly recommend this place to people who want a change from the classic Khmer food. The Samar: " Fantastic place to stay and Go Around to See Temples and City Center"
"I definitely enjoyed my stay there,it is actually very convenient to go around,to visit temples, explore city center and have a walk around. It is a very quite place,a sanctuary to hide yourself. Perfect place for family. "Villa Song Saigon: "Fantastic boutique hotel, plus free speedboat and minibar"
"We absolutely loved this hotel. Beautiful, quaint, great staff, lovely food and wonderful rooms. It's no wonder that this is the top hotel in Saigon on Trip Advisor (at the time of writing). We stayed in a beautiful room overlooking the pool, with a deeply comfy double bed, separate shower room and washing facilities, TV, private balcony and all the usual mod cons included. Their service is second to none. There's a free minibar in all rooms (including beer, water, milk and juice). They serve breakfast at any time of the day (seriously - you could have it at 10pm if you REALLY sleep in), and it's included in the price of the room. And electricity can be left on in your suite when you leave, meaning those devices that keep dying might actually get charged. They have UK plug sockets too. Best of all, as the hotel is not right in the city centre, they put on a speedboat to ferry guests to the main bit of the city, on a first come first served basis. (Although it was never full when we stayed in May). The boat takes approximately 15-20 minutes, but you'd wish it would be longer, because it's brilliant. The last boat is at 6pm, and a taxi back to the hotel should set you back 150,000 VND. If it's more than that, they've got lost! The pool is excellent, as is their restaurant, which is overseen by Kevin the chef from Luxembourg - who will certainly seek you out to say hello, or offer some food and drink recommendations. Food and drink here, incidentally, is a few more pennies by Vietnamese standards, but very fair when compared to the rest of Saigon, and even better when compared to the likes of London. Breakfast, which I briefly mentioned, is very good. The best we had in Vietnam, in fact. And it offers up some really well done variations of Western classics like pancakes or a full English versus your traditional and excellent Pho noodle soup. (If you're really hungry, you can even have both - in fact, it was them who suggested it, which I greedily accepted). Their staff are great, too. When we wanted to visit the Cu Chi Tunnels, the front desk organised a speedboat to pick us up from the hotel's own private jetty - and one of the highlights of our trip. If I was to take points off this hotel, and it is being picky, then their airport to hotel transfer service is very expensive in comparison to most hotels we stayed at in Vietnam (all of which have a comparative distance from airport to destination). It was a nice air conditioned private car, but then it was no better than every other hotel provided us. And 1,386,000 VND is a bit steep. Full disclosure: they had quoted this price to me some time before we arrived in Vietnam, and I could have shopped around for cheaper prices, so I can't really blame them for quoting a price to me and then accepting it. But it might be something they could look at in the future! The taxi they booked us for our return to the airport after our stay was much, much cheaper at 300,000 VND. So maybe shop around for your original pick-up. I know there's loads of 'taxi scams' in Vietnam, but you should be able to find a decent service for cheaper transfers if you need. None of that dented out love of Villa Song Saigon, and I would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone. I really miss their speedboat..."Tugu Malang: "AMAZING place"
Can't say enough.. this place is heaven on earth... The staff, the food, the rooms, the beds, the mysterious interiour. The restaurant is even open for 24/7. I would recomend everyone to go here. FantasticVilla Song Saigon: "Excellent"
The environment is great, the food is nice and staffs are friendly. There was a musical function at night during our stay, they provided us a round trip free taxi ride to district 1 for dinner. The boat ride to the city center is one of the great experience. The River Resort: "Magical environment. Great people."
Very rarely am I blown away with a hotel. This time I was. Met at airport by Hotel car. Taken to this place that appears to be in the middle of nowhere built on the bank of the river. Arranged direct transfer as was quoted 3 times as much by an agency. Set around rice fields. Had three night stay. Was not long enough. Room weas great. Large balconies front and back. Indoor and outdoor showers. Lots of space. Most helpful staff. Arrange tuc tuc - or even car if you are that way inclined - to Wat Phu and other places nearby, Good open restaurant overlooking the river. Enjoyed the food (and for me that is not always the case). And really lovely people who went out of their way to assist in every way. Its the only place to stay if you wish to visit Wat Phu. And that is something that you really ought to wish to do.
