kenanga ubud: "Perfect, Peaceful Stay in Ubud!"
The Kenanga hotel was so beautiful and peaceful. I went there with a friend of mine over the holidays, and the staff was very accommodating. The lovely woman who owns the hotel was very sweet as well, and gave us great recommendations for good restaurants in the area. The hotel is located a little bit outside of Ubud, but close enough that it is only a short, inexpensive taxi from the main town center. There is also a free shuttle from the hotel to and from the center of town during the day. The infinity pool at the hotel overlooks the rice paddies, and the rooms were beautiful and very clean. The wifi is a little spotty in the rooms, but works great in the lobby, restaurant, and by the pool. I would definitely visit this hotel again!KHWAN BEACH RESORT: "Ko Samui Vacation"
"Good location, around 15mins drive from airport, 2 mins walk to Maenam Beach and 5 to 10 mins walk to shops. Yet, quiet and private in the resort. The villas are tastefully decorated, beautiful paintings inside n outside, full kitchen, good coffee maker, nice European furintures with swimming pool. Staffs are very attentive n good service. "Noel Rodrigo’s Leopard Safaris: "Fabulous Safari in Sri Lanka"
"We stayed at the Leopard Safari campsite for three nights starting on Christmas Day. It was a wonderful experience for the entire family (2 adults and 4 children ages 9 to 15). We had Sarge as our guide and he did an excellent job looking after us on the safaris. He is very knowledge not only about the general wildlife but also about birds in particular (we saw about 80 different species of birds as well as leopards, elephants and a sloth bear). Noel and Sophie did a terrific job as hosts for all the meals. They have great insights about Sri Lanka in general as well as the beautiful nature there. It was clear that Leopard Safaris was on a higher level than the other safari companies. The food was also terrific, and we were successful in having our kids try many different things. All in all, a terrific experience. Stayed December 2016, traveled with family"muang la: "What a wonderful oasis"
"Visited very briefly during an extended planned trip and had to be dragged away otherwise we would have quite happily stayed for a lot longer!! Staff couldn't have been more attentive or friendly and every little detail had been thought through thoroughly to make you feel special. Thoroughly recommended"MesaStila: "Jewel in the heart of Central Java"
"We traveled the world and stayed in some of the most beautiful hotels but we have to say that Mesa Stila is a class of its own. The fantastic combination of Dutch colonial buildings and the most beautiful Javanese historic villas in the middle of a functioning organic coffee plantation surrounded by impressive volcanoes is second to none. We loved the restaurant with its organic vegetables from the resort's own garden. Every meal we had during our 9 days at Mesa Stila was delicious, beautifully presented, well sized and well prized (we usually had two courses each, one or two vegetable side dishes, water, tea, or fresh fruit juice or beer and never paid more than app. 40 US$ which is OK for a 5 star resort even for Java). Breakfast was very good and never boring. A special treat at breakfast was a complimentary health tonic of herbal combinations presented by the Jamu lady. We also enjoyed the complimentary high tea in the afternoon as well as the free yoga classes and all the other activities offered by the resort. The villa we stayed in (Merapi 3) was spacious, beautifully decorated with Javanese antiques had a gorgeous bathroom with a sunken bathtub and a huge deck with stunning views. We loved the magic pool and of course the Hamman Spa for the most relaxing massages. Top of all is the wonderful staff. Always friendly, good English speaking and very helpful. We loved our stay at Mesa Stila and can absolutely recommend this jewel in the heart of Java to everyone."Glenburn Tea Estate: "Enchanting and Nostalgic Tea Estate with Majestic Views"
I had been trying to come to Glenburn for over 10 years and was afraid it would disappoint. It exceeded our expectations! The rooms are beautifully decorated and the entire estate has an old-world feel to it. It is situated in a majestic valley with views of Kanchenjunga. We took lovely walks each day. I especially appreciated the customer service and attention to detail. We had tea upon demand and amazing food. The prices might seem high, but considering that everything is included (food, excursions, transportation to/from the Bagdogra airport, etc.) the prices seem fair. I really loved the tea tour and thank Parveen (and Ranjan) for sharing their knowledge and making our stay so special. I also enjoyed meeting the other guests and having meals together -- it was a unique experience and we got to know many people on top of their game in different fields. We stayed four nights, which was ideal. I would love to return and highly recommend Glenburn Tea Estate for anyone looking for a picturesque getaway!Anopura: "A lovely escape"
My mother and I had one of the nicest stays of our trip to India here. The food is excellent. The staff are lovely and the location is peaceful. It was a nice break from the frenetic cities of Rajasthan. The accommodation is excellent. The decor is very tasteful. We regretted not being able to stay a second night. The staff are very well trained. They are helpful without being intrusive.Sanak Retreat Bali: "Beautiful Retreat in the Rice Fields"
"Beautiful hotel, villas, common rooms an gardens are extremely tastefully decorated. Nice pool, fantastic spa, very good food (best breakfast on Bali so far). We can recommend a trip to the base camp from the hotel with the possibility to drive with buggies further into the mountains. The view from the basecamp (eg sunset) is fabulous"Tugu Lombok: "Vast rooms with plunge pools, lots of art and relaxed friendly style"
"We arrived here at the end of our holiday. Set on a very pleasant quiet area of Lombok near a local village it has great grounds with lots of sculptures and rather wacky at times art but fun! Room - very big with an enormous double bed, facing out onto a sweet garden then straight onto the beach also the garden has a great plunge pool. Comfortable rooms with good linen and bedding. We had an outdoor shower, bath etc and again a back garden complete with fish and additional water features! Staff - a delight, friendly yet professional with a good sense of humour and interest in their clientele. One spent ages teaching me the local Indonesian words they really. You can have your meals wherever you want here - on the beach, by the pool nothing is too much for the staff. Food: We were impressed with he food and enjoyed trying the different indonesian dishes for lunch and even breakfast - try the black rice with coconut and palm sugar. Afternoon tea is a mixture of local delicacies and sweet cakes. Facilities: two really great pools, paddle boards and all the snorkelling great available as well as bikes. We did a snorkelling trip on the hotel boat which is a traditional craft, lovely picnic provided by the hotel. Snorkelling is quite nice although I worry that full marine control isn't quite happening in Gilli and Lombok - lots of boats and lot of fishing - so we didn't see very many big fish but 4 turtles!! We did a great bike ride and enjoyed cycling through the villages where everyone was very smiley and welcoming. We took Adi one of the hotel drivers for a day and had a day trip - he was great, flexible and recognised easily what we wanted. The grounds - they really are a delight and make for a very restful holiday. Everything is easy. I was greeted each morning by the man who did the flower arrangements for all the rooms and dining and he always offered me one of his creations....it just is a friendly and easy place. I would readily come back.": "Instant Relaxation"
"This is the most gorgeous place. Each of the 12 villas are dotted around the most beautiful, lush garden. Our double deluxe villa was large with a four poster bed covered by mosquito nets. The highlight was an outdoor shower and bathtub surrounded by more lush plants. A high stone wall giving complete privacy. The infinity pool overlooking the sea was another highlight. We enjoyed the breakfast options and two for one happy hour cocktails. The sunsets are spectacular. Ms. Narin and her staff were responsive to all our needs and looked after us so well. If you're looking for complete relaxation this is the place. Stayed March 2017, traveled as a couple"
