Rachamankha: "Such a beautiful and a tranquil place to stay"
"Stayed in this beautiful hotel this week and had a perfect family vacation. A definite 'must stay' if you want a peaceful and quiet place to go back to after your afternoon shopping and activities. Love their no small kids policy. All the staff greeted you with a smile every single time. Although one of the restaurant's waiter is always 'moody'. The hotel is just 5 minutes walk to all the shops, massage spas, various temples, including 'Wat Phra Singh', Tha Phae Gate, 10-15 mins walk to Saturday night market and 5 mins walk to the Sunday night market. Oh, you MUST spend at least 1 full weekend, ie Saturday and Sunday, in Chiang Mai to enjoy the weekend night markets. What else could you ask for? Just love the place. NASA"tugu bali: "Excellent service and homely feel"
"Absolutely fantastic service. I have never experienced more genuine and attentive service from our arrival to departure. Simply flawless. Love the maze like garden with canals and fishes. Rooms are good a bit run down, but all is made up by the fantastic staff! Well worth a visit!! World class service in a stunning surrounding. "The Apsara Rive Droite: "Excellent for a very reasonable price"
"I am a creature of habits so I return to places I like. It was great to see The Apsara still going strong. It has been spruce up a big, not that it needed to (aircon in my favourite room, number 7, changed and quieter). This is a truly boutique hotel, located in the heard of the UNESCO designated area and a short walk to everything. Staff is excellent, but as expected in Lao, English can be challenging, which is part of the charm. Any issues in respect of reservation, tours are sorted out by Loun, the experienced and knowledgeable front office manager. Rooms are enormous and have a very Indochina feeling to them. Breakfast is lovely. An excellent and well know restaurant with a lovely bar is located here. A truly delight to return. Stayed October 2016, traveled solo"Locavore: "Amazing lunch"
we really enjoyed the lunch. So amazing. And the service also great too. Wanna go again for dinner. It's so hard to book the time.Villa Song Saigon: "Great riverside hotel in Ho Chi Minh city"
"Highly attentive and professional staff. Really great setting next to the river where you can watch the fascinating array of boats go past. Really great room and a nice pool to chill by when not out sightseeing. Breakfasts are great too. Stayed November 2016, traveled with family"The Apsara Rive Droite: "Wonderful hotel with first-class service from friendly staff"
"Everything about the Aspara Rive Droitte is just right. Mr Ai and Mr Hann (the management team) and Mr Ivan (the owner) went out of their way to make our stay wonderful and all the other staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect, with the hotel's dedicated Aspara Queen taking 60 seconds to cross the Nam Khan and deliver you to the heart of Luang Prabang - and, conversely, escape to the more serene side of the Nam Khan. Rooms were spacious and comfortable, and breakfast wonderful. The pool is a welcome relief from the heat of Laos, with the bar just a few steps away. After 5 days at this home-from-home, we were sad to leave. We hope to go back"muang la: "Unexpectedly delightful"
The management is superb, each meal delicious, serene location in the countryside and wonderful staff. Also, the massages are special and the hot springs a surprise. We heartily recommend Muang La Resort to all.Tugu Bali: "Boutique Hotel in the heart of Canggu"
"We stayed here for three nights having previously visited the Lombok Tugu hotel last summer. The hotel is everything we have now come to expect of the Tugu brand. The staff are very well trained, very accommodating and very helpful. the rooms are spread out around the grounds in a series of old style Indonesian houses, with 1 or 2 upstairs apartments and 1 or 2 downstairs garden apartments depending upon which room you are allocated. We were fortunate in that we had an upstairs room in one of the smaller houses (only 1 room upstairs and 1 room downstairs). The room was well appointed with an enclosed balcony but one which had windows which could be opened to all the sea breezes to blow through. It exudes old world charm yet has all the creature comforts one expects. The grounds and communal areas are beautifully presented and stacked full of Indonesian antiques. The hotel offers a quiet oases of comfort within the bustling and vibrant Canggu area. There is a large lawned area adjacent to the beach which is where we spent most of our time during the day. If you have never been to a Tugu hotel, you will marvel at how they manage to blend the old ways and charm of Indonesia in with the modern conveniences required by the present day traveller"Bassac Mekong Delta Cruises by Secret Retreats: "Excellent overnight cruise"
I agree with all the other reviews that rate this highly. Annie was our guide too (on Bassac III, the biggest of their 3 boats, sleeping a maximum of 24). Annie was a lovely guide with extremely good English. Even though she was a last minute substitute for another guide who had been taken ill, and she had been working herself and was expecting to go and visit her mother, she was gracious, enthusiastic and helpful. I didn't get up to see the sunrise but I loved the visit to the floating market and the peacefulness and beauty of the smaller canal we went along.Rak Ko Jae Seoul: "Nice experience"
If you want a "local living" experience, this hanok is really nice. You sleep on a mattress on the floor, traditional style. They serve a traditional Korean-style dinner every evening, as well as breakfast every morning. The only downsides: there is really no classic staff like in a bigger hotel, only a caretaker who changes the sheets and cooks the food, and both of the women who were working there during my stay didn't speak a word of English, so if you are looking for recommendations or for someone to call you a taxi, it might be difficult.
