Tugu Bali: "A rare gem"
"I stayed at Tugu hotel with my wife and my little one and we absolutely loved it. A rare beautiful place in the middle of a lush garden. They did an incredible job to maintain this historic place. The mystique beach of Canggu is one step ahead which can be enjoyed thanks to a very convenient ""green beach deck"" to enjoyed all the facilities of the 5 stars. The service is excellent. The Indonesian food very tasty and I simply loved the surprising Japanese restaurant. We need now to test the Tugu hotel in Lombok !"Chakrabongse Villas: "Wonderful hotel"
"We stayed one night in this hotel. This hotel is really beautiful. It is authentic and well located in the city. I would definitely recommend it. The room is huge and you have a large terrace. The breakfast is really good and can be served on the terrace as well. The staff speaks a very good English and are very helpful. This hotel would be a bit more expensive than other hotels that we did in Bangkok but it is definitely worth it. We hope to come back in Bangkok and stayed there. we stayed as 2 parents, 2 children and a grandparent. We were conveniently given 2 adjoining rooms, both gorgeous and spacious. Satri house is larger than expected and very pretty, I kept getting lost on the way to breakfast! The 2 swimming pools were fantastic and refreshing. The staff were all very friendly, even when we were struggling to communicate! Julie and Gianni are very helpful and kind. My husband loved their Lao whiskey! One morning we got up at 4.30am to see the morning alms. However we found there were monks just in front of the hotel which was very beautiful to see. Our kids treasure the little Hill tribe dolls they were each given as we sadly departed. Although it is not right in the heart of Luang Prabang, it was an easy walk and easier tuk tuk away. "I just came back from Bangkok where I stayed with friends at the Cabochon. The hotel was recommended by a friend who lives in Bangkok and was an excellent choice. The service is outstanding: friendly, nice, very helpful staff. The rooms are large, they could benefit from more lights but I didn't stay in the room very much. The decoration of the hotel is subtle, beautiful and stylish. The location is great: in the same little street, there is a great bar,(Shanghai in the 20s style) , a famous restaurant and a little further many restaurants. I also love the swimming pool on the top of the roof. So relaxing after a day of heat and humidity to swim and relax on the roof. The hotel restaurant, with Northern Thai food is excellent too, but ask for mild version if you don't like very spicy food..."Cuisine Wat Damnak: "Khmai food and hospitality at its best"

A fantastic three night stay on the Glenburn Tea Estate. Amazing, sumptuous suite with fabulous views of Kanchanjunga, Sikkim and Darjeeling. Delightful guide lead walks around the tea plantations and a very interesting tour of the tea factory complete with tea tasting.The food was exquisite, the setting dreamlike and the service second to none. The 40 minute jeep drive from the main road down a very bumpy, twisty track descending 3000 ft is not for the feint hearted, but for others it may add to the adventure. The drivers were marvellous. the amata Lanna is a lovely boutique hotel with twelve beautifully furnished Lanna Thai rooms around a pool and courtyard. The location is close to the Ping river entertainment district, the Loi Kroh road and the night market. The staff are friendly and helpful and even delivered birthday cake to my room - unbidden - as they had noted the date on my passport when I checked in. "What a beautiful hotel. This hotel has really beautiful gardens with lots of little retreat areas tucked away for you to relax with a book or a refreshing drink. Our room was on the ground floor and was spacious and comfortable. It had a very comfortable king sized bed and a roomy bathroom with luxury bath products. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. They performed their duties efficiently and quietly. Breakfast and dinner is served in a beautifully designed courtyard with a cosy feel. Especially at night when the area is subtly lit with candles on each table. We chose to eat in the restaurant each night because of the excellent choice of delicious food. The pool area was also very relaxing and well maintained. We totally enjoyed our stay at the Rachamankha and plan to return in the near future. "If you want a perfect place this is it. Very nice bungalows (only 6) perfect service and outstanding cooking. Basically it is strctured as a foundation (non profit). The bungalows and restaurant finance the integrated tourism school dedicated for students of a poor financial background. Since 2009 48 students yearly can learn all the basics in tourism. A splendid idea. It is worth to pay the price just for all theses reasons. Additionnally they do whatever they can to respect the environment. And all the food comes from their organic garden. We had a really enjoyable meal last night as part of our honeymoon trip to Chiangmai. We ate off the set 4 course menu which was excellent value and the food was delicious. I really enjoyed the pumpkin soup in particular and my husband really enjoyed his duck main. The waiting staff were brilliant and all-in-all I would highly recommend. It is a little pricier than some other local eateries but definitely worth it in terms of food quality and the lovely ambience.
