Muang La Resort: "Hidden Gem"
After a dreadful drive from Luang Prabang we arrive at the Muang La Resort. This is a delightful place situated next to the Nam Phak river with wonderful views from the rooms. They even have two goats and a wonderful hot spring fed hot tub. Food and drinks are excellent. Well worth a visitMaison Polanka: "Escape the Maddening Crowd"
"Siem Reap has 1000's of visitors and hotel beds. Maison Polanka is by contrast an oasis in this tourist buzz. Great landscape, pool, rooms, food and service. Their wonderful staff arranged a fantastic guide who taught us a great deal about Khmer history and culture and pointed us in the right direction for shopping and dining out (tho dining in was perfectly wonderful). The only flaw in our stay -- we should have stayed 5 or 6 nights, so that we might have travelled further afield into Cambodia -- visiting Tonle Sap for example. We mentioned it was our husband's birthday, and the loveliest cake appeared, with a card signed by all the staff, all ""on the house."" Pure magic. Stayed February 2017, traveled as a couple"Rachamankha: "Amazing Hotel and great Staff"
We stayed there with my girlfriend and we had such a wonderful time. The hotel is perfectly located in the midle of the old town. It is a beautiful place, with great service, The breakfast was fantastic, while their restaurant is also very good for dinner, if you are ready to spend a bit more than in the city restaurants, would definitely go back thereBali Jiwa Villa: "Pure Relaxation & Satisfaction"
I stayed in Bali Jiwa Villa in May 2015. I know already some places in Bali but this villa is extraordinary. You stay in a place inside the nature, surrounded from lush rice paddies with the panoramic view of Mount Batukaru and stunning sunset. The service of the lovely staff in this villa fulfilled every wish I had. I was served a delicious breakfast and dinner. Also lunch you can get there. Each villa has a private pool, bordering the rice fields...a fantastic atmosphere! I will definitively come back to this place :-D.Discover Muang La | Visit Laos | Luxury & Boutique Hotel: "Probably the best place I have ever stayed"
"My family and I spent two nights in this hotel as part of our trip around Laos in early January. I was immediately impressed by the homeliness of the hotel and the warm welcome we received from the lovely Dutch manager. The pool is absolutely stunning and the hot pools are so nice to spend time in. My only qualm is that the water in the hot spring is normally far too hot so it might be slightly better to mix the water with some cooler water. The staff are all very attentive, however the a la carte nature of the meals means that it can often take a little while for your coffee to arrive. The quality of the food is Michelin star. The dinners are amazing and I love how they involve so much local food. I would say that there is possibly a little too few carbohydrates for my teenage brother and I and some bread on the table would not have gone to waste. The rooms are really very nice, the shower was really warm unlike some of the other places we had stayed in Laos. The things I like most about this hotel are the ways in which they think about everything you could need. For example they offer to clean your shoes for you after a day of walking around the mountain villages or how they place towels by the hot tubs so you don't have to remember your own or how they create a little fire pit next to your table at dinner to keep you warm. My favourite must have been when we came home from dinner the first night to find a hot water bottle in the bed. Absolutely amazing! The activity that we went on was really interesting. Our guide was very well informed and answered all our questions. They were also very willing to adapt to our requests such as visiting the local health centre."Misool Eco Resort: "Phenomenal! The most incredible experience and marvelous resort"
This is our favorite place in the world now! Raja Ampat is astounding and Misool eco resort is the true gem of the region! We were there as snorkelers and loved every aspects of our stay there. Everything was organized and personalized flawlessly, from the booking process and transfer from Sorong to our perfectly set snorkeling planning on a great variety of gorgeous sites, everything about our stay was indeed quite perfect! Our bungalow was impeccable and spacious, wonderfully appointed and located, with the best outdoor bathroom of all times, the food was incredible with a variety of local and international choices, the snorkeling sites were remarkable. And maybe above everything else, everyone at the resort was formidable, each and every person working there warmly and kindly gave us the best experience of our lives! We are traveling around the world for a couple of years and this is by far the most amazing location and resort we've visited! The conservation efforts of the resort are working, the area is thriving again, it's inspiring. To us, Misool eco resort is a true haven and bliss is what we continue to feel when looking back at our time there. We will return for sure and highly recommend them. Thank you all again for making our time in Raja Ampat so unique and unforgettable.Neeleshwar Hermitage: "Neeleshwar Hermitage offers a truly peaceful and luxurious stay in a beautiful setting"
"Neeleshwar Hermitage transpired to be the most beautiful, tranquil and restful place you could possibly imagine. On arrival, with the warmth of the greeting, the hectic world faded away and we relaxed into having time stand still. Ayurvedic massage, beautiful gardens, warm sea, the infinity pool...... and a superb chef all played their part in making it such a memorable experience. The cottages were delightful from the spacious bedroom to the open air bathroom. The hospitality, warmth and genuine charm of the staff was truly heartwarming. After a free consultation with the Ayurvedic doctor I went daily to the beautiful Ayurvedic spa - Priva, for massage and treatment with warm oils. What luxury and weeks later I am still feeling benefits."Tugu Bali: "Great experience to stay in Tugu"
"A very beautiful place with great food and service. You can enjoy the breakfast and free afternoon tea every where you want, like in the garden or on the beach at tugu hotel. The staff there are all very professional. Stayed February 2017, traveled as a couple"Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "Stunning"
Magnificently well restored 19th century Chinese Mansion, with a museum area. We could stay for four days, only. Could have stayed for weeks, it was such a good experience. Staff were super friendly, helpful, and it was as if they felt priveliged to be at the Blue Mansion. Shiro at reception was a standout with her advice and info about the Mansion. Breakfast was impressive it was so good, served in a beautiful location. The rooms were amazing. The most comfortable bed in a hotel I have ever found. Bathroom worked well. Pool was smallish, but most appreciated. The Indigo Restaurant, beautifully decorated, was definately worth while, at least once. We had a great dinner there. Guided tours several times a day. The tour we joined was run by a highly knowledgable Hakka Lady. A must do if you are staying. Will be back !The Island Lodge: "2 days in Heaven !"
"After a bad experience in what was called a 4* hotel in Ben Tre with the worst tour ever, I ended up at Island lodge and everything changed at the moment I arrived there. Perfection ! Food, room, huge clear pool overlooking the Mekong river and its ballet of boats, spa, all is above expectations and most of all the tour proposed are really fonction of your askings. I am very thankful to the owner, Michel, and his really fantastic team, to have done everything in 3 days to make a success of my trip in this area. I will come again and stay longer because there are so many options to discover even more !"
