Neeleshwar Hermitage: "Quaint Sojourn"
"I visited this hidden gem along the strip of Arabian Sea with my husband, upon a friend’s recommendation. True to its word, Neeleshwar Hermitage is everything what it claims and beyond! We were marveled at how the property have merged itself into the locality but still takes your breath away. (...) We enjoyed each and every moment spent at Neeleshwar Hermitage. The selection of the songs played in the room is one of the best that I have heard. So are the books in the library. The authentic food served was deliciously prepared. The beach was so clean and pristine that the walk along the coastline was refreshing. If not the beach, one could also spend all their time by the infinity pool. We spent quite a lot of time lounging by the pool, enjoying the beautiful sea beyond. The rooms are spacious and the traditional architecture adds charm to it. The simple yet luxurious room was the icing on the cake for us! We would like to give our special thanks to the wonderful staff of Neeleshwar– each and every one who seamlessly provides the finest service."Tugu Malang: "Wonderful stay in a slightly eccentric hotel"
"What an experience!! This hotel was perfect, get the best room you can afford - it is so worth it. The hotel is an attraction in its own right, make sure you take the tour to see the VIP suites and function rooms., the bizarre collection of furniture and nick nacks courtesy of the owners. The front desk staff were extremely helpful and all of the trips we took originated from their suggestions and with their help. The piece de resistance is the full day tour to Mt Bromo with waterfall included, organised and accompanied by front desk staff (amazing). Malang itself is a wonderful indonesian city with first rate coffee shops, a great bird market and some lovely streets to walk down. PS(the free afternoon tea is a must)"Maison Polanka: "Wonderful place to stay"
We stayed at Polanka in early April and it was wonderful. All of us (2 adults, 2 boys 11 & 15) loved it. Julie & Kathy helped us arrange everything (guides, tickets to the Circus, cooking lessons) and had great suggestions for shopping & places to eat. The property is an oasis of calm; the food is fantastic (the chef who gave my son & I our cooking lesson is marvelous); and the swimming pool is the perfect antidote to hours of walking through the temples. The owners of the hotel are long-time supporters of local artists and the entire property shows a deep connection to the local community. We can't wait to go back.MesaStila: "Great Place to Escape the Rat Race"
"We had 5 wonderful days at Mesa Stila to unwind. We were pampered by their staff from the moment we arrived on the property and when we were dropped off at the airport. Staff were helpful and gracious. The food was diverse enough to keep us at the resort and didn't feel to need to hunt elsewhere. We enjoyed yoga and coffee tour on site. Our combined sunrise Borobudur and Prambanan tour was effortless as Ruffian was a skilled driver with excellent English and shared interesting local knowledge with us. Definitely the way to tour temples if you have children. The Resort and Spa is not cheap by South East Asia standards but the experience was well worth the price if you are looking to re-energise in a tranquil place filled with traditional Indonesia buildings (relocated and rebuild from other parts of Java), expansive and lush grounds, views of nearby volcanic mountains and thoughtful staff. Stayed April 2017, traveled with family"The River Resort: "Fabulous location – charming hotel"
Great location, right on the side of the Mekong with two inifnity pools. Charming staff, lovely well-appointed rooms, not really much more to say. REstaurant probably a little pricey, but not unreasonably so for a western class resort..Cabochon Hotel & Residence: "Delightful Period Throw Back"
We wandered down Soi 45 looking for a restaurant that a friend had recommended to us and stumbled on this little gem. We came back and booked a night. The interior design for Cabochon is a throw back to colonial past and it has a delightful old style and authentic ambiance. We loved the service and the traditional Thai/Lao food in the restaurant (the original reason we found Cabochon) was fantastic and we weren't disappointed. Cabochon is a small independent boutique hotel and it basically gets pretty much everything right.NEELESHWAR: "Superb"
"What a wonderful place. We are not easily impressed as we have been working in the travel industry for years so have stayed in some of the top hotels of the world but Neeleshwar is exceptional. We stayed 6 nights and left regrettably so happy and relaxed. Everything was perfection!! "Supanniga Cruise: "Wonderful romantic dinner cruise"
The Supanniga cruise is not like the other cruises on the river. It’s not a party / karaoke boat! It’s quiet, relaxing and romantic and the food is excellent. The food is cooked on the boat - there is no buffet thank goodness! It’s very comfortable with only a small number of tables. The champagne dinner cruise is really worth the money. You can sip your freshly made cocktail and cringe when the noisy party boats go past! The staff are excellent too. They know the best photo spots and will happily take your picture! Highly recommended!Amata Lanna: "The Best Experience We’ve Ever Had"
My wife and I stayed at Amata Lana for 4 nights, and it was absolutely amazing. The boutique hotel is extremely authentic, beautiful, and clean, but that is far from the best part. The cherry on top of it all was the exquisite, friendly, and capable service we received. We saw the same smiling faces everyday, and Rebekah was the definition of a perfect host. She had great spa and dining suggestions, and never hesitated to go the extra mile and make sure our needs were met. We are leaving today and it saddens us greatly to do so. If we ever make it back to Chiang Mai we will 100% be choosing Amata Lana. Do not hesitate to do the same for yourself, you will not regret it!The Governor’s House: "SUPERBE!"
Nice boutique hotel. I just LUVED the colonial style. Hotel is well situated and you can have a tuk tuk or taxi at the hotel. Hotel has a night guard. Lovely people, helpful, good breakfast (healty) and delicious gin (Hendrikx) tonics :-)
