Cuca: "Fun and creative food"

Review by: ciaotuffy | Source: Trip Advisor
"Our party of 8 (4 adults and 4 kids) came for dinner. We were a bit surprised that they had a kids menu. The kids really enjoyed their meals, although the portions were pretty tiny for 10-12 yr olds. We had some really fun cocktails including a tropical sangria and lime mojito. They started us with a taste of cotton candy coated with spices. We ordered a bunch of tapas to share including -mushroom fritters which were really good, I would get this again. -baked scallop w/mashed cauliflower: tasty and creamy cauliflower went really well with the scallop, I'd get this again. -roasted pork bun with pickled cabbage; good but definitely but definitely not the best (Momofuku) -smoked butterfish w beetroot cream- nice smokey flavor, solid dish -honey baked pumpkin salad w crunchy granola, a signature dish which was surprisingly good. I enjoyed the crunchy granola w the pumpkin -crispy fried chicken, pretty good and tasty but nothing that special -bbq octopus was ok -marinated pulled pork w soft boiled egg was ok, flavors were ok but not spectacular, wouldn't get this again. -clay pot mushroom rice was good with lots of mushrooms, portion was a bit small. -dessert cocoa99 was really yummy, warm chocolate w mint ice cream and cocoa croutons- I love mint & chocolate so this was great for me. -caramel apple w black pepper ice cream- ice cream was very interesting. Overall we had a really fun meal. Service was great, they were really friendly and nice. It was great to come in a big group to get to try a lot of different dishes. I would recommend Cuca for a nice meal out in Jimbaran."

YL Residence No.17: "Our wedding venue"

Review by: Alallover | Source: Trip Advisor
"This was our wedding venue for over 100 people last weekend. Pros: gorgeous location, good lawn to hold ceremony or reception, club house is big enough for contingency plan for 100 pax, good dance floor area and the rooms are lovely. You can sit out on the coconut lawn with your guests staying at the venue (we booked the whole place out over the weekend), it's very relaxing and the staff try their best to cater for your needs. Cons: communication leading up to and on the day of the wedding could be better. A few things went wrong (which had previously been discussed and agreed over emails and after a personal site visit made last August) such as glasses weren't pre filled for the first toast at our dinner, wine wasn't on the tables for guests to help themselves, the projector and audio during speeches broke and the team were very quick to jump in straight after dinner and clear everything out. The night before the wedding a unknown man came into my room at 4 am which was a bit odd - lucky I was in there to ward off any unwanted guests! The day after the wedding (Sunday) I was disappointed to see they had endorsed the next wedding structure to be set up right on the main lawn - we were checking out on the Monday and had just finished our farewell brunch so couldn't use the lawn even though we had booked all the rooms and paid ""location premium"" for exclusive use of the grounds. So it felt a bit sausage factory like - clearly it's a very popular venue! Overall I'd say it was a great wedding, very expensive but stunning location - you'll have to be patient with the emails and be prepared to invest a lot of time in going back and forth organising various members the YL Team and thinking of things that may be obvious - such as clearing the rubbish off the beach that YL overlooks."

Rice & Zen Boutique Resort: "A beautiful place run by beautiful people"

Review by: Stevehil2016 | Source: Trip Advisor
"Seadance Resort manages that very special skill of enhancing a naturally beautiful area with its presence. The layout of the resort takes full advantage of the tropical greenery both inside and outside the buildings and whilst the grounds are well tended it is not manicured and artificial but a natural infinity and flow that brings you down to the ocean's edge. When you meet Poy who established Sea Dance it all makes sense. His pride and thoughtfulness shine through and new staff like Faith all add something to this very special place. We stayed for 7 days and our normal style is to explore the area and discover places to eat. The fact we only ate out once is testament to the great food and we ate from the Thai menu exclusively. The breakfasts were great, the coffee good all overlooking the ocean. A dream of a place and a big thank you to all the staff. Stayed February 2017"

Nimmu House: "A really nice change of pace!"

Review by: tigertomPackwood | Source: tripadvisor.com
Most people spend their first night in Ladakh in Leh (the site of the airport) which is fine, but another- and arguably better- option is to drive one hour west to the village of Nimmu near the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar rivers, and stay at the wonderful Nimmu House. I stayed in one of the excellent and comfortable tents, which were both spacious and quiet (unlike Leh). The food was really good, especially the lemon chicken which was absolutely delicious. The staff is friendly, and the only improvements I could suggest would be some better grounds maintenance. I would definitely stay here again!

Rachamankha: "A beautiful and peaceful Hotel"

Review by: Taz M | Source: Trip Advisor
"We stayed here for 4 nights on our 2 week tour of Thailand and thoroughly enjoyed it. The Gardens, grounds and communal areas are stunning, beautifully elegant and peaceful. Perfect for the romantic holiday maker. The pool area is also lovely although the water itself is cold even on a hot day, so we only ever had a quick dip before enjoying a cocktail on the comfortable lounges around the pool. The restaurant is superb. The food is delicious and the Beautiful Courtyard with it's elegantly decorated tables is a perfect place to enjoy a relaxing meal. The service was attentive but not intrusive and we never had to wait for anything. It seems the staff just knew when we needed something and we're there before we even had to look over from our table. Breakfast is also served at the restaurant and is of a really high standard. Everything you could possibly think of and more. Our room was a really good size and just Steps Away From the pool. It was really nicely lit and tastefully decorated with all the amenities you could need. Bottled water was plentiful and replaced each time the room with serviced. Bathroom products were replaced daily including the complementary insect repellent which was a nice touch. In the evenings the hotel grounds and buildings are beautifully lit to create a super romantic atmosphere. I would highly recommend this hotel to those seeking a little peace and romance. It's all so nicely situated near to temples, markets and other restaurants. If you are looking for an elegant stylish boutique hotel with beautiful grounds and excellent service, look no further. Stayed January 2017, traveled as a couple"

Tugu Malang: "Incontournable"

Review by: k4sh44 | Source: Trip Advisor
"L'hôtel, fait office de musée avec une collection de différents objets plus ou moins anciens de différents horizons (principlement d'Asie). Le prix de l'entrée est à 95000 roupies et compte pour une consommation (liquide ou repas). Le personnel parle bien anglais"

Satri House: "Just wonderful and charming"

Review by: TripleS-Seoul | Source: Trip Advisor
"Excellent in every way! Top in quality of the rooms decorated with local and colonial furniture, the staff is helpful, the spa was really agreeable, the restaurant is top even if the staff is still lacking a bit of experience in the way of taking orders. For sure, this will be the place I will go back to next time I am in Luang Prabang."

Inle Princess Resort: "Everyone is right"

Review by: rhfdb | Source: Trip Advisor
"It's gorgeous. We looked out on the lake to see sunsets. Food in restaurant was very good. Staff are lovely. We had an A&K guide meet us at the dock each day and take us various places. Highly recommend. Getting spa treatments tomorrow - high hopes. Prices reasonable for spa compared to US.Weather cool in the mornings and evenings (need a jacket) but gets warmer as the day goes on. Hot but not horribly hot. We had to ask for flatter pillows as theirs' were too big for our necks. Outdoor shower is great! Room Tip: Ask for lake view."

Villa Song: "Best year end dinner ever"

Review by: WWWTrainer | Source: Trip Advisor
"There are many places for eating out in Saigon but it’s almost impossible to find a place more cosy and romantic than Villa Song. We joined the Sylvester dinner, had great food, starting with kitchen greeting, soup, scallops, a delicious lobster and fantastic dessert. Framed by european and Vietnamese music time flew towards midnight. We will always remember this amazing year end."

David’s Kitchen: "One of the best meals I’ve had"

Review by: Meg W | Source: Trip Advisor
Incredible food, amazing service, and a nice but unpretentious atmosphere. David came by and had a conversation with each of the tables to make sure we were happy. I loved every minute of it, highly recommended.
