The Apsara Rive Droite: "Understated comfort in Luang Prabang"
"Upon arrival at The Apsara, we were met by a very welcoming and gracious staff. And in fact, throughout our stay, they attended to all of our needs and were always very nice and friendly. The hotel itself is located just off the main street in Luang Prabang, on the banks of the Khan River. The location is perfect; just of few shorts blocks from the main downtown area and night market, but on a very quiet one-way street. The rooms are simple, but comfortable and very clean, with a colonial feel to them. However one word of warning: make sure you book a top-floor room. Our hardwood floors squeaked when we walked on them and I felt sorry for the guests in the room below ours. We only ate breakfast at the hotel (and it was always delicious), so I cannot comment on the dinners or other meals the hotel offered. Overall, we loved our stay at The Apsara and I would highly recommend it for anyone visiting Luang Prabang. Room Tip: Hardwood floors, make sure you book a top floor room"Heritage Suites: "Simply the Best"
Spent three nights at the Heritage Suites Hotel in August 2017. From the moment you arrive you will not be disapointed!! We stayed in a Bungalow Suite which even has it's own steam room. The food is fantastic and is one of the best Restaurant in Siem Reap. We also did the ATV private bike tour, which was a little bit expensive. The Spa is also excellent and well worth a visit. However, what makes this Hotel is the Staff a true credit to the Hotel.....Cuca: "A hidden gem"
You will not stumble across Cuca by accident; it's hidden on a quiet street a few hundred metres back from Jimbaran beach. We booked ahead and secured an outdoor table in the restaurant's garden, which was very peaceful and private. The food was really quite exceptional and exceeded my expectations. The plating, presentation and service rivals any fine dining experience. Please don't miss Cuca if you're in the area.Nimmu House: "beautiful home stay"
"beautiful heritage property with all modern amenities. The tiny entrance itself speaks about its character. French touch to Ladhki house was pretty fusion. Tents were also beautiful. Our Hostess Sonam was also very hospitable. A lovely feel over all."Villa Song Saigon: "An excellent small hotel with everything you need"
We have just returned from Vietnam, having had a thoroughly enjoyable holiday. Villa Song was a delight. Overlooking the river, an oasis of calm in an otherwise frenetic city. The rooms had everything one might need, the hotel had a good sized swimming pool and an excellent restaurant. The staff were delightful and nothing was too much trouble. A shuttle boat into the city centre got around most of the traffic problems. All in all, full marks.Satri House: "Super stay at Luang Prabang"
"We were delighted to be at Satru house in Luang Prabang .. Very old style historical villa which was earlier used by a communist head of Laos after Frenchs left.. Excellent rooms.. Superb services.. Good breakfast.. Efficient services.. On our request they also made Vegetarian Lao cuisine for dinner. It was really a pleasure to be in Satri house for 2 nights.. We wished we were here for one more night.... We highly recommend travelers to stay in this marvelous hotel..."Villa Song Saigon: "Enjoyable Stay"
Our stay at Villa Song was a wonderful experience. Our room was beautiful with an excellent view of the river. The food was very good along with their service. The hotel provides a convenient boat ride to the city which only takes about 10 minutes.Manda De Laos: "So nice"
Not far from night market. Food is really delicious and atmosphere is so great. Staffs can speak English, and little expensive.Villa Song Saigon: "Beautiful hotel"
It's a bit of an odd drive to get here, out of main areas and thru village streets but well worth the drive. It's a very boutique hotel. No lifts and 3 floors. Beautiful wooden floorboards everywhere. Our reception greeting was friendly and very easy check in. We had to book 2 rooms (travelling with teens) and do wish we had upgraded at least our room to have a balcony. The windows on the 3rd floor are small but do open fully which is nice. The rooms are small but beautifully appointed. Everything has been finished to a very high standard. Lovely bathrooms and very comfortable bed. The outside restaurant/bar is a gorgeous area. Exactly what we expected and part of reason for our booking here. It's a beautiful spot on the banks of the river watching the sunset (or rise). The food and drinks are really good. The dinner menu isn't Vietnamese but after almost 3 weeks we didn't mind having some fusion food. Seafood was all beautiful. The staff are lovely. The pool area is nice, a large pool, very warm with seating around it. The pool is at the back of the hotel and has no bar or cafe attached to it. The gym is small with only 1 treadmill but it's a good quality one. The free mini bar is 2 beers 3 waters 1 juice and a soft drink. The coffee in the room is terrible, luckily we bought everything we need to make our own cafe sua da with us. The free boat into the city is great. We are doing the Cu Chi tunnels tour arriving by boat and the boat driver is able to pick us up from the hotel jetty (and drop us back here) saving us 45 min trip each way to and from the meeting point. Very happy with this hotel, definitely recommend itGlenburn Tea Estate: "bliss"
We arrived at this beautiful place after a bumpy but breathtaking 6 hour drive from sikkim. . Faye, Will and Alex were there on the door step to greet us and we instantly felt like one of the family. The other guests were great fun..... mostly..... and it was really lovely to sit around the group table for dinner and listen to everyones travel stories. The food was amazing and nothing was too much trouble for the wonderful staff. I have a fabulous massage in the little spa and the therapist eased away my aches and pains. Gin and tonics on the terrace overlooking the mountains and it really felt like a scene from Indian Summers. The rooms are gorgeous and after a week of homestays etc the beds were Bliss! There is a lot to do there and the staff are great at organising anything tailormade to suit your requirements. We went on to stay at the Tollygunge in Kolkata that they recommend and that was great in a completely different way. I could not recommend this wonderful hotel highly enough. i felt totally spoilt and loathe to leave Thanks again to Faye and the team for all their help. Room Tip: the one with the spanish wood four poster bed!
