Maison Polanka: "An oasis in the city"
We felt well taken care of by the staff - every time we arrived we were greeted with cold towels and a willingness to help with any details to make our trip more enjoyable. The property is utterly an oasis in the city - tons of greenery and the pool the perfect way to cool off on a hot afternoon. Since there are not many rooms, we felt like we had the place practically to ourselves and the peaceful atmosphere was most welcome.Satri House: "Just about perfect"
"My sisters and I stayed here in early part of December 2015 for four nights. Satri House is great small hotel just the right distance for the middle of town. Our room was clean and comfortable we walked out to a peaceful lily pool. Breakfast was delicious. After a day of sightseeing Satri House was a great place to come back and relaxand with a cocktails around the pool. we also loved taking the bikes back out in early evening and ride a short trip to the main part of town for more exploring and shopping. Satri House is just the perfect distance from main town in a quiet neighborhood. Would definetly recommend to friends. .The staff was very kind and efficient. THey were more than happy to call for tuktuk each evening for us us to get to diinner. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Laung Prabang."Tugu Bali: "Beautiful hotel. Great service"
We spent 2 nights at the hotel for our honeymoon at the incredible Puri Le Mayeur suite...which was essentially a single-story house that has its foundation lying over a pretty lotus pond. The suite itself was huge (probably much more than the 2 of us needed)--but we made the most of it! The staff provided top-notch service from beginning to end, from welcome drinks to breakfast in our rooms. We also received a 15-20 minute "welcome massage" at the spa, and frequented the private plunge pool in our room! The hotel itself also has a very nice pool. The hotel provides ocean-views from many of its rooms (the view from the Puri suite was a partial, but still breathtaking), as well as from the common areas. There is a bar at the hotel itself, as well as many restaurants. Regarding the food, the breakfast we ordered to our rooms (Indonesian breakfast) was so delicious that we ordered it again! We also did the "dinner in bed" for our Christmas honeymoon night! The dinner took place on the hotel's lawn, which overlooks the ocean and provides an unparalleled view of the sunset all while being served drinks, food, and dessert. Overall it was a relaxing stay and the perfect place for a romantic getaway.Locavore: "Still surprised after reading all the reviews about Locavore"
"It doesn't happen to me very often, but in this case the atmosphere and expectations raised by the reviews of hundreds of Tripadvisor members did not reflect the genuine experience we had by dining at Locavore. This kind of intro-paragraph will mostly precede a rather negative and contrary viewpoint but in this case I must say the evening we spend here was truly mesmerising. The amuse-bouches were drenched in local flavours even though some fitted on my fingernails. Imagine with that the 'Ashes' cocktail (you will indeed put a burning stick into the concoction, thus releasing a fair bit of ashes in your drink) and culinaire paradise in coming into wide view. The mains - we went for the 7 courses menu - were a mixed bag with caffeinated fish as a weird but surprisingly good part of it. Overall it is the combination of the nouvelle-cuisine presentation on the dishes combined with the exotic, original and authentic taste of local ingredients (chili pepper flowers, anyone?) that made this a very special evening for the both of us. Do try the Balinese coffee at the end. With a total bill of around 2.700.000, including two glasses of excellent Sangiovese, we probably spent more than half the average salary of the people working there, but as this works out at 160 Euro it was money more than well spend."Manda De Laos: "Tasty of Lao Royal Authentic cuisine with nature view of Heritage Lotus Pond"
The food at Manda de Laos was super great and amazing, nice ambiance with friendly service by lovely staffs at the restaurant. I think the price is suitable on what you get. If I have chance to visit Luang Prabang, I definitely go back to this place. Lastly, I love banana ice cream :)Sandat Glamping Tents: "Special place to stay"
"This place really lives up to the Glamorous-Camping expectation. The resort stands out beautifully in the sea of rice fields. Once inside, the decor is stunning. Room are very comfortable but still manages to make you feel like part of nature. Bed and pillows were a bit hard but turned out to be just as comfortable in the end. Breakfast was good but limited. Understandable that they do not provide a big buffet spread as the resort only has 8-9 villas. Service is exceptional. Staff really pamper you and go out of their way to make your stay better. Made (from front office) helped to research for places to watch kecak dance around ubud town when I mentioned that I was interested. Special mention also goes out to the drivers Buda Yaso and the older one with a moustache (sorry I didn't get your name). The resort owner Frederick was also attentive and friendly, yet gave us our personal space. Truly a recommended place to stay if you are looking for a special holiday."Hotel Tugu Lombok: "Simply The best resort in Indonesia"
"The Tugu is not a Hotel, is an experience. Is one of The best Resort I have ever been. All is exceptional and unique. The art pieces, the structures, the decorations, the furnitures, the optimal service, everything. One of the places where I wish life will take me back. Feel blessed for having been there.."Sanak Retreat Bali: "Jamais deux sans trois"
"Hotel 4 in stunning location 500 metres above sea level. I love it up here. Perhaps not really for beach lovers, but the infinity pool is fabulous with views across rice fields extending down the valley. Individual traditional wood cabin accommodation with huge and very comfortable bed. Spotless modern bathroom, wonderful private veranda with mountain views. Superb restaurant with elevated terrace and views serving Balinese cuisine with a french twist. My rare steak was to die for. Easy access to stunning trekking to waterfalls through beautiful jungle booked in advance or through the hotel. This is a proper flavour of the beautiful island of Bali. FANTASTIC! "Bali Jiwa Villa: "Irresistible view over an oasis of nature…"
"For those who know what it means, there are some places in this world which cannot be described with words or pictures. Bali Jiwa Villa is one of them. When we first arrive the driver had to go through some retreat villages shortly after Ubud to finally rush into a luxurious jungle over an horizon of rice fields. At the end of a small path cutting directly through the piece of jungle, Bali Jiwa Villa entrance appeared like an oasis in the desert. The door opened and a charming Balinese woman welcome us with a heartful smile. She escort us to the Villa which was perfectly arranged and neat, she left and came back with a welcome drink and a refreshing towel. (...) Going around is quite easy. We personally recommend to rent a motorbike (just ask the staff) as driving is quite relax in this area. (...)Several local dining options are available around this area as well. Renting a car with a private driver is another option. To pampered yourself, Balinese Massage and Yoga Class are two delightful options, and for those feeling a little more sportive, cycling and rafting are two other possibilities. This place is a MUST in a lifetime, and a WOW!"
