Mie Cafe: "Fancy, delicious and still good value for money"

Review by: Malin H | Source: Trip Advisor
"I had the gourmet menu and was very satisfied with my choice. It was fun to try oxtail and the first starter with shrimp and avocado was amazing. The chocolate fondant for desert was perfect. Would recommend this place to anyone. Even if you're on a tight budget, it's worth a visit and 24 dollars well spent. Staff was very friendly and attentive too. Food was served quickly. We took a tuktuk here from the night market for USD3 and decided to walk back (halv an hour)."

Reverie Siam: "The most wonderful hotel I have ever stayed in"

Review by: andrea3000 | Source: Trip Advisor
Jobwise I have stayed in some of the fanciest and most expensive hotels throughout the whole world. But this is one of the nicest, most charming, most wonderful places I have ever stayed in. The staff is simply perfect. They don´t breathe down your neck but are always taking care that you might feel even more comfortable. Stylewise this resort reminded me of Luang Prabang and the great architecture of Indochine. Every gramophone, every chair, every pillow has been picked out with perfect style-and I truly would not have blinked if Hercule Poirot himself would have been sitting in one of those inviting armchairs. Situated directly by the river, one has perfect privacy if wanted. The two pools are great to swim and sunbathe and we even had a picknick (we brought ourselves) in the pavilion. I found it very hard to leave but am sure to return. Oh- I forgot to say that the rooms are not only lovely with their big beds, the bathroom with its huge detached tub and all those perfect fittings let you travel back into time. This resort is not only wonderful-is has soul and true style.

Sukoon Houseboat: "paradise"

Review by: Orbitaleee | Source: Trip Advisor
We had a lovely time at Sukoon. High end houseboat with heating, fancy bathroom with a bath - it is a five star experience. It has a lovely sun deck - perfect to lounge in the evening sun, read a book, just watch life go by and sundowners. It is in one corner of the Dal lake so pretty private. Highly recommended!

David’s Kitchen: "The BEST pumpkin soap EVER"

Review by: shekkaki2003 | Source: Trip Advisor
"After reading the reviews on TripAdvisor, I made a reservation online for celebrating my sister's birthday. It is simple and convenient. That night was fully booked, David greeted me and my sisters on self, then the receptionist brought us to the table immediately. It was so sweet that a greeting card with our names and a birthday card was prepared. We ordered three dinner set and oysters. The serving speed was just right. There are three types of bread, which you can refill. Started with The Salmon Gravlax and Oysters and then the Pumpkin soup. The Pumpkin soup is definitely a highlight!! It has rich pumpkin taste and creamy. The fried sweet potato ball was perfectly matched with the soup. I was surprised with the soup, which was the BEST pumpkin soup EVER! After that, a lemon sorbet was served to clean up the aftertaste. It was so considerate. The main dishes are also tasty, while, the Paris mash is really great. It has a strong taste of truffles. LOVE it. The team sang a birthday song to my sister before the desserts were served, highly recommended the Sticky toffee pudding with vanilla bean ice cream. David was nice, he kept chatting with the guests for the whole night. The little details showed his caring and respect. I feel so warm. Just wanna thanks the whole DK team, giving us a perfect night! If you have any doubts, just don't hesitate to make an online reservation and try it yourself."

The Village House: "Relaxing and Beautiful, Great Food and Friendly Staff"

Review by: Janice A | Source: Trip Advisor
Our experience at Village House was excellent. The guesthouse has been carefully planned and attention paid to every detail. It is very beautiful and comfortable. The food here was way above expectations - delicious and fresh and a great mix of local as well as western food. Surprisingly they had a very good selection of wines. We did try the Pina Colodas by Miss Flora (we had read about them on Trip Advisor) and yes, she does a great job! But the highlight of the trip was the sweet and accomodating staff. They did everything possible to make our stay as relaxing and stress free as possible. My family and I would like to thank them all. You should not miss the chance to stay at Village House!

Talabgaon Castle: "A night with the maharajah"

Review by: Jean Pierre V | Source: Trip Advisor
Prior to my departure to India I went on their website to see what to expect and what I saw was very appealing and filled me with great expectations. These were more than realised as the reality of the place is quite simply enchanting. First there is the imposing and stylish and elegant archway that you have to go through, then the splendour of the building reveals itself with in front of it a manicured garden. After that it is sheer enjoyment of the senses as you go through courtyards, reading rooms with imposing chandelier. I felt an incredible sense of peace there helped in that respect by the most exotic room that I have ever stayed something of the Arabian nights. The staff is locally employed and will do their best for you. The food is nice. Walking through the garden it was a pleasant surprise to encounter an emu. Whilst there I would recommend the camel ride going through the village and surroundings as it gives you the chance to be up close with the villagers who will extend to you the most enthusiastic of welcome. I left this place the following day with only one regret and that is that I would have wanted to stay there a bit longer.

Tugu Lombok: "Rainy paradise"

Review by: Alexandra G | Source: Trip Advisor
Great food and friendly staff with really lovely pools. We went in the rainy season but still had a great time!! Waterfall was great but good to take some dry clothes to wear back as you will get wet! Can also recommend the cooking class

Babe: "Food with a view"

Review by: Dechen Y | Source: Trip Advisor
This place is food divinity! The waiter offered me for trying the lamb chop. Uhmmm no words required, the lamb was very tasty!!! So juicy and tender. This place serves Japanese tapas with a mix of western Japanese. The food prepared here was something I had not seen elsewhere and was delicious. The staffs are very nice and the seafood are very fresh as some of their ingredients are flown in from Japan. I love the atmosphere where you dine next to the swimming pool. The dim lights, the seats and the magnificent view gives thus place two thumbs up.

The Village House: "Fabulous retreat-you must stay here!"

Review by: Emily T | Source: tripadvisor.com
"We stayed at The Village house in mid August this year (2015), and we loved every minute of our stay. The rooms are luxurious, wonderfully comfortable and thoughtfully and tastefully decorated. The hotel itself is stunning, everything has been done for you to effortlessly enjoy the stunning surroundings and allow you to fully relax. We took lots of trips from The Village House, all of which were excellent and extremely hassle free. We ate in the restaurant every day and never had a bad meal, again a really thoughtfully put together menu and everything was fabulous. The greatest accolade goes tot eh staff, they are amazing, made us feel very welcome and at home, fantastic experience."

Samanea Beach Resort: "Best kept secret resort in Kep"

Review by: Nathantran | Source: Trip Advisor
One of the first thing that caught our eyes upon our arrival at the resort is how green this place is! Everywhere you can see shaded trees, flowers and tropical plants of all sorts and types-all are well manicured and arranged such that they seem to hug the bungalows in such a harmonious way! The resort itself is located on the side of Kep that's away from the tourist crowds! So here all you can hear and see was the soothing sound of crashing waves, of bird singing, and the evergreen color of the nearby mangroves...You truly felt immersed in nature, at peace with yourself and the environment. The staffs working here were just as friendly and comforting as the environment. They all greeted you with a genuine smile on their face, sometimes a little shy which was in itself charming. One of the managers, Jonathan had gone out of his way to make sure we had a relaxing and enjoyable stay: from recommending the best crab restaurant in town to arranging complimentary transport to pick us up from the border crossing with Vietnam. The bungalow room was very spacious with a cozy living area. However, the most charming feature of the room is the outdoor shower and bath! Very relaxing and romantic to say the least! The resort was only five minutes tuk tuk ride from the crab market and restaurants so going out for dinner or shopping was very convenient.
