Manda De Laos: "Fantastic food and location"
We stayed right across the road from this restaurant and so decided to splash out a bit and have a meal here. The restaurant setting was beautiful. We walked in without a reservation and were given a table right by the lily pond - however it is low season at the moment and we went quite early (around 6pm). The food was superb! The starters were definitely the highlight - we had the traditional sausage and the papaya salad with melting pork both of which were delicious!! It's definitely expensive for SE Asia, but we really enjoyed our meal here and would go back. We paid around £45 for two courses and a cocktail each for two people.Tugu Bali: "Great stay!"
Great stay in Canggu on our honeymoon. Canggu is action packed but Tugu is a peaceful old world getaway tucked right behind the action and feet from the beach. Very cool aesthetic and a history within the hotel as well as great food. So quiet and peaceful with amazing rooms and landscaping. Jenny the manager was great and made sure we were set up properly the entire stay! Definitely would stay again!Flower Island Resort: "Heavenly"
We spent 3 nights at Flower Island for our honeymoon. Just perfect!! A very friendly staff, a beautiful island! The cottages are not on each other. We made a trip to visit a pearl farm, with a barbecue on the beach at the top, then snorkeling on magical places in small group (we were 11 on flower island). If you need a place to rest in peace, go for it!Cuca: "Chef served ‘Bliss"
"Trying to decide where to eat can be a challenge in Bali with the increasing number of fabulous restaurants operating across the island. So when it comes to a restaurant of Cuca's style it's hard not to sound 'same - same' when saying how fabulous this resturant really is. From the moment you arrive at the resturant you're cocooned in a private oasis with the choice of a tranquil garden setting, to the striped back elegance of the dining room. The food! What can I say about the food. The most amazing food I've tasted. The Chefs selection was truely an onslaught of amazing flavours and textures. Each course was better than the previous. The portions were just right and left you wanting more. I can't recommend this resturant highly enough. It's worth the drive from Legian or Seminyak 70k (including a tip each way in taxi - cheaper in a car). The dinner with a bottle of Chilean wine was 200,000. Pure bliss. "Villa Song Saigon: "Charming Hotel"
"We spent 3 x nights in Villa Song last week and were fortunate enough to be upgraded for the last two. The new bedroom was absolutely stunning at the top of the building with an enormous bed and a beautiful view over the river. The staff were delightful and incredibly helpful throughout our stay. Villa Song is situated in a stunning setting right on the river in popular District 2 - and very quiet. It is the most perfect hotel to relax in after touring round Vietnam. There is a fantastic complimentary speed boat service that goes to and from the city hourly. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel - it is the most ideal place to stay in Saigon Stayed March 2017, traveled as a couple"Rahai’i Pangun: "3D/2N River cruise"
"My wife and I took a 3D/2N river cruise with Wow Borneo in February 2017. The boat was clean and comfortable. We had the superior cabin, which included a double bed and private bathroom. All the guest cabins were air conditioned. 3 meals a day were served on the main deck. The chef aboard was excellent! We certainly never went away hungry. The crew and guide were excellent. Our guide spoke excellent English, which was a major help since we speak very little Bahasa Indonesia. She was also very knowledgeable about the local flora and fauna and also the local culture. She had a really sharp eye for spotting animals on the shore as we passed. Of course the main attraction was the chance to see Orangutans. We were not disappointed. We say them every day of the cruise, and at one point saw 6 in one location. There were also numerous monkeys and birds. This was the best tour we have been on in our year in Indonesia. I highly recommend it."Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "The Last of a Dying Breed"
"They don't make hotels like this anymore. Which is a pity, because a stay at Tiger Mountain is about so much more than just 'physical' luxury. It's enriching - visually, intellectually and emotionally. First things first - it's a fantastic property, perched high up on a mountain overlooking the Pokhara Valley with fantastic views of the Annapurna range. This is eco-luxury at its finest : great views, great service, great food but with minimal environmental impact. The rooms are nice, in a spartan sort of way (no TV, no WiFi, no aircon - not that you need it) with four poster beds, charmingly rustic furniture and a private, sit out balcony. The food is fantastic - among the best you will ever have, whether it's traditional Nepali fare or the more Western dishes that are traditionally served at dinner. But many hotels have great views, great rooms and great food. Tiger Mountain's secret weapon are it's guests and the fact that dinner is a communal meal where all the guests get together over 4 courses and copious amongst of alcohol. Over the course of 3 nights we met a couple who had driven a Land Rover from London to South Africa and who were currently doing relief work in Nepal, a Scotsman who spent a year living in a campervan with him family and his dog, and an ex military attache who also oversaw the recruitment of Gurkhas for the British Army. Simply put, these are things money can't buy. And that's to say nothing of Marcus, the Managing Director of the place who makes it a point to have a drink with every one of his guests and who has a number of remarkable insights and anecdotes about Nepal, India, England and everything in between to share. If you're looking for a traditional luxury hotel with every modern comfort, this property probably isn't for you. But if you're looking for old world charm, delightful dinnertime conversations and a view that just doesn't quit, Tiger Lodge has your number. It may be a bit pricey, but it's Worth Every Penny."Rahai’i Pangun: "River cruise – Indonesia’s must see Orangutans"
My husband and I went on a 2 night / 3 day day river cruise and the river cruise was one of the highlights of our trip. Our guide Jeni was fantastic and the crew could not do enough to make our trip comfortable and memorable. The Orangutans in their natural environment were a delight to watch and what magnificent creatures they are. Such a shame what the ever expanding human population is doing to these magnificent great apes....but there seems to be hope for them which is heart warming and Wow Borneo is definitely the company to book this once in a lifetime adventure with. The boat is very comfortable, except for the cold shower brrr... and the food scrumptious.MesaStila: "Magelang’s hidden paradise"
I've lost my words to describe how beautiful this resort is.. tranquilizing, mesmerizing, friendly staff, great details on the decorations, very private, we're fallen for the beautiful bathtub in the bathroom with the scenery of mount Andong, i'm looking forward to visit Mesastila again with my big familySlow Villas and Spa: "Heaven on earth"
Absolute luxury, low key, discreet, perfect. Quiet oasis....wouldn't want this place to be anywhere but hidden away from the mainstream vibes. Those who say location is poor are fools...it's a perfectly hidden gem. Attention to detail here is amazing...even down to the chique dinnerware. Breakfast amazing...people and services fantastic. So peaceful. Come.
