Rachamankha: "Old City Oasis"

Traveling from the Chiang Mai Airport we encountered a buzz of traffic including autos, tuk-tuks and a swarm of scooters and small motorcycles. Crowded, bussling, narrow streets apperared to be the norm. Then our driver turned onto a side street and pulled into the calm and quiet of Rachamankha. The staff of the hotel and the restaurant where gracious and attentive. The grounds are gorgeous and peaceful. We spent a few quiet hours by the tranquil pool. Great experince.

Samanea Beach Resort: "One of our best stays at Cambodia"

Out of the seven properties we sampled in our eight nights in Cambodia, this was one of the best! And I really wish we could've stayed longer. We rented a junior villa for the night and was extremely pleased with our choice because the room was beautiful and spacious and the washroom came with an outdoor shower and bath. [See pictures] The resort has lush lawns and its own strip of beach with a pier - overall an extremely picturesque property. So much so that we ended up spending most of the day chilling at the property in stead of exploring Kep. Service at the restaurant and the bar is good - food is pretty good but the cocktails are average. Overall, a very comfortable stay and would definitely visit the property again if I am going back to Cambodia.

Rachamankha: "Luxury Oasis in Middle of Chiang Mai — Superb Value"

The Rachamankha hotel is an oasis in the middle of Chiang Mai, Thailand. My wife and I stayed there for three nights as part of a southeast Asia tour. The hotel grounds are fabulous and peaceful. The break fast was outstanding and a great way to start any day. The value for the price was superb. I highly recommend this hotel.

Sea Dance Resort: "Awesome holiday!"

"We we're a family of five staying in a two bedroom pool villa for 10 days in August. We had an awesome time at Seadance Resort. It is a secluded and tranquil place. We rented scooters for the time we were there thus could explore most of the island's beaches, waterfalls, restaurants etc with ease. That gave us the best of both worlds - busy days and coming to the serenity of Seadance in the evenings. Some days we just spent at the pool drinking awesome cocktails (passionfruit mojito was my favorite) and relaxing. Free piña colada ice lollies was a bonus. Friendly and helpful staff made our stay even more pleasant. Thank you especially to Faith, Helen and Poy for adding that more personal touch to your already awesome service as well. We will definitely return to Seadance resort in the future."

Villa Song Saigon: "Perfect River Side Restaurant"

The river is just beside the dinning area. The building, I feel there's a french romance in it. I found so many corners of it can make good seats. With some drinks and nice food, I had a perfect afternoon here!

The Apsara Rive Droite: "Peace and Pleasure"

"I can't recommend this place more highly. A boat ride across the Nam Khan river from the Old Town, it is a haven of peace (no kids allowed!). No TV in the rooms. Excellent insect management. Delicious fruit and cooked breakfast individually prepared. Free airport transfers. Free bikes. Very helpful and friendly staff. Spotlessly clean. The hotel is a little piece of personal paradise within the paradise that is Luang Prabang. As a tip, the local monks walk past collecting alms around 7am and is an untouristy experience that the once in central LP."

Le Du Wine Bar & Restaurant: "One of Asia’s best"

Modern Thai at its best with this award winning restaurant with it talented young Chef whose partner does a mean wine pairing to go with your meal. Highly recommended

Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "Beautiful Place, Great Staff"

"The hotel is just beautiful. Definitely take the free tour! We stayed in ""Escoy"" and our room was amazing and very comfortable!! There were interesting snacks & drinks provided. The staff is extremely helpful and nice. The pool was the perfect afternoon break between long walks around. The breakfast was very good."

Misool Eco Resort: "Beyond my expectations"

"We got used to spend our vacations in upscale botique resorts. That's why i had to dig internet quite intensively prior to making up our mind to choose this resort. Due to it's location i was sure that the nature would be at it's best. However i had doubts about the quality of accommodation and services we would get in comparison to our previous vacations. After the vacation i would say that everything was beyond my expectations. Misool Eco Resort is a boutique resort with a max. capacity of 40 guests. Luckily during our stay there were only three couples. The resort has 3 personnel to 1 guest ratio. Probably during our stay this ratio was 5 or 6 to 1. Furthermore Mark(GM), Sue(Dept. GM) and Calvin(Guest Operations Manager) were available 24/7 for any problems/questions we might have. We stayed in the Tabisasu villa just because we wanted some extra space and extra privacy and we were totally satisfied with our choice. We had problems to get used to sleep on new beds even at upscale resorts. Here we slept perfectly from day one till the end. I think this was not just because we got tired of daily diving/snorkeling activities but the beds and pillows were really very good quality. Considering resorts remote location we were really satisfied with the variety and quality of food. We like to ear local food when we travel to Indonesia. Here all local stuff with noodles, rice etc were very tasty. In addition frequently we had western cuisine like burgers, pizzas etc. And of course diving and snorkelling - which were our main aims of the trip to Raja Ampat were perfect. We had personnel dive and snorkel guides which we ordered in advance. However the other couples also had one guide per couple. The reefs were arguably the best, the most healthy coral reefs we have ever seen. Full of life! Both macro and pelagic. One just need to show the dive guide what he is interested to see and the guide finds it unless it is a polar beer or dugong(which unfortunately do not live here) We were very lucky with our dive guide Kiikii and snorkelling guide Nelson as well as captains Samsul and Fikram. If you have underwater photo/video equipment this resort has very convenient camera room and was very comfortable for us to prepare our cameras for the dives. The only negative side of this resort for me is the lack of mobile network. But this can be a positive fact for many who would like to have a break from daily routine. For whom the presence of communication is a must taking an Iridium satellite phone is the only solution. By the way there is awkwardly slow internet however its good enough for communication via whatsapp, viber, messenger or similar apps which really helped. We have been in Indonesia 7 times in previous vacations. Since we read that west Papua is a risky zone for Malaria we decided to take pills as a precaution. Especially after rain in the evenings we felt the presence of mosquitos. We were told that since the island is 5 hours boat ride from Sorong there are no infected mosquitos at the resort. This actually sounds logical because the staff working here would get infected for sure since they would not be allowed to use pills agains malaria daily for years. However since a stop over in Sorong is also required i would recommend to use pills for this trip.We had one tablet of Malarone per day and no side effects. Other than diving and snorkelling with did the excursion to the view point and cave. I recommend it. But be warned that the health and safety standards are different than the ones you are familiar with.(and this was told in the resort in advance) In my opinion the view is worth it anyway. :-) One final advise - on the way to resort i organised our flight schedule in order to avoid one night stay at Sorong.(which is unavoidable on the way back) However the guests who did this arrived the resort after the 4.5 hours boat trip a lot fresher than us. The Swiss Bell Hotel which is booked by Misool Eco Resort is quite satisfactory to spend the night in Sorong. Room Tip: Tabisasu has extra space and nice view to the ocean and islands around. Misool Eco Resort: "Most incredible scuba diving"

"Where to start!!! Misool is truly unique! You arrive on a fast launch, to a wonderful tropical island, you are greeted on the jetty by all the waving friend staff. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. The island is set up wonderfully for scuba divers, fully equipped dive centre with nitrox that is free to qualified divers, you can hire equipment or take your own. A dedicated area is available for you to work on your camera equipment. You could do 4 dives a day if you wish too. Dive sites are accessed by fast boats, many sites are only 15 minutes away or less. All dive sites are wonderful! The corals are in pristine condition from down deep right to the surface. The fish life in variety and quantity is truly amazing! The Maldives 35 years ago was fantastic, Misool today even beats that NOW!!!! Why? The team at Misool and their wonderful Rangers and their Charity have a huge No Take zone and this is paramount in protecting the area. You can stay in a very comfortable water bungalow, near the dive centre and restaurant or you can stay in a very secluded bungalows on the south beach. These are accessed by steep steps up and down over the hill. A boat taxi is available at certain tide states. Meals are extremely healthy using lots of local ingredients. I found that for me the strong Indonesian influence was not always to my taste. It is hard to fault Misool! I consider a stay there is A TRIP of a LIFE TIME !!!
