Reverie Siam Pai: "Perfect step back in time with modern amenities"
INCREDIBLE. Mountain view room which I thought was wonderful. The room itself is stunning. French doors, decorated just right, huge bathroom with free standing tub. Overall the hotel pulls off it's 'colonial, 20s' vibe just right. ITs not overdone, it's just right. Felt a bit like Alice in Wonderland at times which was so fun. Both pools are great, staff super nice and was gushing over the place the whole time. Didn't want to leave.Maison Polanka: "Spoil yourself"
"This place was top notch. It was beautiful and quiet and the rooms were perfect. But what makes it top notch was all of the detail and the way the staff anticipate your needs. For example, we mentioned we might take their free bicycles into town so when we later left our room we noticed they had set out two bikes but also put cold water and a map in the baskets for us. You can book drivers/tuk tuks/guides through the hotel for temple visits and they always sent water and cold towels with the drivers- much appreciated in that heat! The hotel food was the best we had in the city. There are only five rooms so it feels personal but still offers plenty of privacy. The pool is the perfect place to hang out in the hot afternoons (or any time) and the entire compound makes you feel like you are in an oasis. The staff could not have been friendlier or more thorough. This place was worth every penny. Stayed March 2017, traveled as a couple"4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Was beyond anything I couldve hoped for"
Of the many places I have stayed I have never come across such helpful, friendly staff who are always smiling. The owner has picked some great people to work here. The accomodation is amazing. The location is beyond amazing. While we stayed it was my partners 30th birthday and the team arranged a fantastic private dinner. They even baked a cake! They went above and beyond. The food is great, the cocktails are delicious and the excursions are awesome if you can bring yourself to leave the lodge. I cannot recommend this place enough, go!Les Maisons Wat Ko: "Beautiful resort"
A beautiful khmer house with Very nice green garden with small pond, my first impression is staffs are very friendly and warm welcome. Nice swimming pool big enough for inhouse guest. Room are spacious will full of amenities. I will come back again in the future trip in Battambang.Maduzi Hotel: "Our Bangkok oasis"
"We have stayed here numerous times and we'll keep coming back for more. The location is second to none, perfectly located right near the ever so efficient BTS, ASOK station, yet you feel as though you're In your own little oasis once you walk through the gates. (Do yourself a favour and buy a 'Rabbit Card' so you can jump on and off the transport system with ease and enjoy all that this vibrant city has to offer). The staff are always happy to assist with anything you require (btw, they won't accept any tips, it's their policy - no matter how hard you try.) The rooms are spacious, clean and beautifully appointed. The mini bar is included in the price of the room too, another quirky yet welcome Maduzi offering. Breakfasts are delicious! We almost always get the Japanese set breakfast. You can enjoy this in their fabulous restaurant where you'll also have a buffet to pick from, all inclusive. Or, you can order it to your room and they'll put together a buffet selection for you. Yes, this is a small boutique hotel with only 40 rooms and 7 levels, no pool or laundry (you can get the hotel to organise your washing for you) but the beautiful ambiance all around, central location and friendly staff make up for the lack of amenities. We'd choose this place over any of the big guys any day!"Rahai’i Pangun: "Pure and Natural – Katingan River – Sebangau National Park"
This was an exciting destination - the Sebangau Nat Park, Kalimantan. I was part of a group exploring the Katingan River area for the first time ever, with WOW Borneo, who is the first commercial tourist boat operator allowed to venture commercially on this river. Hail to WOW Borneo for being such pioneers. What explorers we were! This was a unique trip into nature. The boat cruise will now be on the regular WOW schedule. It's a an adventurous cultural trip - you simply must go. Setting camera traps for the clouded leopards in the Sebangau National park with the park ranger was the highlight for me, treking at night in the forest was a first for me, sleeping in homestays in the traditional Dayak villages - wonderful, discovering the black water lakes- beautiful, having the hornbills swooping across the wide Katingan River was a delight indeed and sleeping in forest cabins by special permission - well, that was very special. I have so much to say about this trip. We traversed the smaller rivers by canoe which allowed us to get really close to wildlife and we saw orangutans and proboscis monkeys in their natural setting. Scrumptious lunches were served on board every day, and the cooks produced the most exquisite dishes. The food is a big plus on a WOW Borneo trip. I have been on 5 trips now. What I loved about this NEW Katingan River Sebangau National Park trip is the combination of meeting local families and sleeping in villages, which allows you the chance to talk with local Dayak people. Added to this you have the comfort and luxury of the boat every day. A magical trip into a magical part of Indonesia. Should you go? Yes, most definitely. What you come back with is memories of a truly peaceful place, with silence and beauty that is untouched and not commercialized. Our side trip to the Borneo Orangutan facility BOS, was a great bonus, as we got to hear about orangutans from the experts. In all my travels of Indonesia, for me, this was the most significant trip ever - from a standpoint of solitude, natural beauty and a new discovery into protected lands.Maison Polanka: "Heaven"
After trekking around Asia we were ready to unwind and relax while visiting Angkor Wat. Came across Polanka online, and it was highly praised so we thought it was worth a try. Well after weeks of dodgy rooms and supposed 5 star hotels we finally found heaven. The rooms are stellar and the location exactly what we wanted, away from the crowds. The garden and the grounds are amazing. Kalimantan the dog and tin tin the rabbit are playing around at breakfast time and hundreds of colorful butterflies surround you. The hotel was the highlight of our tripCheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "the best and most special hotel of Penang"
Rooms are spacious and very elegant, the hotel is beautiful, full of history, location is excellent, food is great in the restaurant, the tour is very nice, this is by far the best choice, stay at Blue Mansion when you go to Penang.Cuca: "Great food!"
This interesting concept restaurant had Japanese inspired tapas. The food and service were excellent! We really enjoyed the broccoli Caesar, the ceviche, the meatballs and the meat and potatoes. Good for kids as well!Amata Lanna: "Absolute Perfection"
