Golden Buddha Beach Resort: "Total paradise and relaxation exceeding expectations"

Review by: Bayaf99 | Source: Trip Advisor
"This was our first visit to this amazing resort. The journey there, from the welcoming sign at the airport, to a quick efficient drive to our boat to the bay, exceeded our expectations. The arrival view was mesmerising: a wide open bay with a vast long sandy beach with a little hut for lunchtime and a yoga sala, and of course dense nature. Massi, the manager, embodied true professionalism. He welcomed us to our beautiful house Baan Tamarind and gave us thorough details about the resort's amenities. Our house was beyond our expectations. With two stunning bedrooms both with an amazing view of the sea, and stunningly designed outdoor bathrooms, we also had an amazing living space upstairs as a canope amongst trees with a sunset view everyday! The food was probably the peak of the stay. The Club House has been renovated in a spacious way that makes you feel at home away from the busy city life. There is a new menu EVERYDAY (something rare in the hotel industry where after a few days, you run out of culinary options) with completely different meals - each very distinct and deliciously made at defying prices for the quality. The staff constantly walks around with smiles on their faces and are always available if you have an inquiry. The morning buffet and cooked meals are my favorite. You get to sit outside or inside (your choice, although I recommend outside due to the beautiful sea view) and make your own freshly squeezed juice. They have an amazing tea selection and of course the fruits are exquisite. I specially recommend their Thai omelette with rice - a must have during your stay, truly a taste of Thailand! I cannot describe the joy I felt when going to get massages. Porn and Poy are possibly the kindest ladies and although they may seem gentle based on their graciousness, their hands work wonders. I have had back problems for quite some time and honestly, felt rejuvenated every time I came out of the massage sala! The Thai massage is a must. In all, the hotel was anything I could have asked for. You are truly immersed in nature, at night hearing the strangest most relaxing sounds from this rich ecosystem to walking on their vast empty white sand beach with a light breeze brushing against you in the bright sun. Room Tip: Sea front views are the most rewarding due to the proximity to the beach and stunning view!"

The Cabochon Hotel and Residence: "Perfect escape"

Review by: Lexi M | Source: Trip Advisor
This hotel was the perfect way to end our trip in Thailand. The hotel was even better than described/pictured. It is in a great area, close to the sky train but secluded and peaceful. Definitely a beautiful boutique hotel with amazing service. I only wish we had stayed longer to take advantage of the pool and the restaurant, but the bar and breakfast were wonderful! Our room was picturesque (in addition to the rest of the hotel). We will definitely be back and would recommend the Cabochon to anyone!

Sanak Retreat Bali: "With humanity, kindness and perfection in mind"

Review by: maisonrose13 | Source: Trip Advisor
Most guests stop for 2 to 3 days and all regret not to have remained in sanak longer...and they are right. My son ( 8 years old) and I set base for 8 nights and had the most wonderful experience. The weather is light and sunny when it is raining in Ubud. The location is lovely with a great clear view of paddy fields and mountains. The villa, we stayed in 104, are discretly nested away from one another and are perfectly appointed . Dining outside sanak is not an option but that is fine as the food is reasonably priced but above all delicious. The spa just dreamlike is excellent . But what makes the difference is sanak staff under the stewardship of Sebastian that makes you feel like family. Efficient with a smile, kind and attentive, ibu jero delighted us with her cooking class, gusti her husband took us to a memorable school visit and berli was just the best guide, caring and so funny. We left with sadness but above unforgettable memories of special place away from what bali has now become.

Cuca: "Brilliant Taste and Service"

Review by: Rheiii03 | Source: Trip Advisor
My fiance brought me here on our anniversary last year. From the beginning upon arrival until farewell, we had a spotless service. The staff is highly attentive, yet undisturbed our romantic moment. Perfect! The food? can't ask for more. You should experience yourself for Chef Kevin's masterpiece in this beautiful restaurant. Thank you Cuca and team for the lovely dinner. You guys are amazing!

Manda De Laos: "Elegant dining, beautiful setting, first rate"

Review by: John A | Source: Trip Advisor
We wanted to have dinner at Manda de Laos, but it was sold out for a corporate event. After being convinced that our Caucasian features would prevent us from slipping in unnoticed with this predominantly Thai business group, we settled on lunch. The food was traditional Lao, informed by classic French technique. We had salad rolls, green papaya salad, roast duck, grilled fish, vegetables and plenty more. All was delicious. And the setting is magnificent. It is all open air seating, built around UNESCO Lotus Ponds with tables on little boardwalks surrounding them. When we went by to make the reservation, there was a man in a small boat floating around pruning the rushes and making everything just so. Service was excellent as was the food, the ambiance and the entire visit. We walked by later that evening to see the entire street backed up with vans dropping off the corporate guests and felt glad to have been able to get in at all. I am sure it is lit beautifully at night, but during the day, we could see the lotus ponds in all their glory. Highly recommended, but reserve early. It is pricey for Laos, but a bargain in any other part of the world.

Tugu Bali: "The Secret Retreat!"

Review by: E D | Source: Trip Advisor
"This is our 2nd stay at Tugu. We enjoyed it so much we couldn't resist another stay. Although it is a little more expensive the Tugu ""offer"" is unique. You can lie in your own private space overlooking the sea without being annoyed by hawkers and just watch the surfers, or lie by the pool in privacy. The perfect getaway. We were fortunate enough to experience the cultural evening which presented us with 3 dances - so amazing and professional - a totally memorable experience. We used the hotel driver to take us to Seminyak on a couple of occasions - he was polite, courteous and perfect in every way. Thank you Tugu - your staff our amazing...well done Jenny. Good luck with the Living Wall construction, we look forward to seeing it in the future."

Rakkojae Seoul: "A secret oasis in the middle of a bustling city – a gem"

Review by: Jesstwiga L | Source: Trip Advisor
"An exquisite traditional house (hanok) set on a side street off Bukchonro road in the center of the Bukchon neighborhood. Set around a quiet courtyard, there are four beautiful rooms – each different. We had the smallest room, but with it came a dark wood porch jutting out into the courtyard and it was here where we had delicious breakfasts (one morning: mackerel, kimchee, pickles, a delicious seaweed rice porridge and barley tea.) You can also arrange to have a Korean dinner – we had a delicious one of Galbi, lots of small dishes (panchan) and chapchae. To unwind even more there is a small sauna tucked into the hanok – woven mats on the floor and patterns of cherry blossom trees, an excellent way to relax after a long day of exploring. To top it off the host is incredibly sweet, friendly and helpful. Mr. Kim provided with all sorts of ideas and recommendations as we planned our adventures. A true hidden gem in a great bustling and modern city. Stayed April 2017, traveled with family"

Cuisine Wat Damnak: "Sensational"

Review by: ChristineBindert | Source: Trip Advisor
Absolutely sensational cambodain cuisine: the food, the service and the atmosphere make this our favorite on our three weeks trip thru Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam. Two set menus and if you don't like something, they will adapt. The ( Frecnh) owner couple is incredibly talented, friendly and helpful. He cooks and she is attenting the tables. The food is excellent and creative with local fresh ingredients. Tip: make a reservation at least two weeks ahaed and if you did not, call within one hour of you going, you might get lucky!

The Cabochon Hotel: "A Gem in the Heart of Bangkok"

Review by: JobvH | Source: Trip Advisor
"This is it! Don't come here to find the latest gadgets in comfort for the decerned business traveler, but make a visit to the past yet excellent in style and service. Enjoy the wonderful surroundings of a truly colonial style. What makes it all a really very nice experience is the personal service! Yes it is a kind of home. Your size is also comfortable as you will never get lost in a huge building, but you could get ""lost"" with all the nice decorations and artifacts probably from a personal collection. The restaurant serving a Thai fare is excellent. Also here the nice personal touch. Keep it up this way! You are definitely carving a very special place in the heart of Bangkok. Please do not be in a hurry here, as sometimes the Sukhumvit travel get you stranded. But then there is the BTS nearby!"

The place has real magic around, our room had beautiful small details that we loved. We came to Bali to celebrate my birthday and they really made this experience wonderful. The food was delicious, the massage therapist were great, the tours and drivers were really nice and patient, the recommendations for places to visit and good restaurants as well. would definetly come back with my eyes closed.
