Noel Rodrigo’s Leopard Safaris: "A Highlight of our Sri Lanka Trip"
My girlfriend and I booked a 24 safari with Leopard. We are two single moms travelling with four little girls and this was a highlight of our three weeks in Sri Lanka. The staff were amazing - treating us to snack, beverages and the most delicious outdoor dining experience we've had. Our daughters were pampered, which was such a treat for the moms! We appreciated Leopard's desire to harmonize with nature, thoroughly enjoyed our hot shower after safari and even saw a family of leopards on our last treat out.Neeleshwar Hermitage: "a superb hotel – with great attention to detail and outstanding service"
"We have been to India many times and have been fortunate to stay in many wonderful hotels. But by any comparison, the Neeleshwar Hermitage stands out as among the best for its perfect combination of outstanding service, food, location and attention to detail. Rarely do even the best hotels in the world get all of these right, every day. Our main interest is in seeing and experiencing everyday life in India. For us, one of the attractions of Neeleshwar Hermitage is that there is a lot to see locally and it’s easy, with the help of the hotel, to get about. We found the manager immediately understood what we wanted to do, and was very helpful with the ideas and arrangements to enable us to make the most of our 6 day stay. You don’t have to go anywhere of course, and when it is hot and the skies blue (as it was when we were there) it is tempting to head to the pool and stay there. It is a beautiful pool. It’s also very well situated, overlooking a long, wide sandy beach that is also used a lot by the local villagers. The design and materials throughout contribute a lot to the feeling of a very relaxing, comfortable place to stay. And it is extremely well thought through, to maintain that special ambience. The tables in the main restaurant, for example, are fixed in position, each with their own ceiling fan directly overhead, and there is a lot of space between them. This means you feel like you have a lot of space and privacy, and makes it feel very peaceful. The tables are similarly well placed a good distance apart in the excellent seafood restaurant by the beach. Juices, beers and local wine are all readily available wherever you are but there is no formal bar, either by the pool or in the main lounge area, which again helps to keep things quieter than it can be in some places. Smoking is not allowed anywhere, indoors or out. All of these elements are important, but it’s even better: we found the service, without exception, to be outstanding. Every single person got it exactly right. They also work very well together. It may be an informal beach hotel, but there is great attention to detail. This is not a hotel that is particularly easy to get to. We flew from Mumbai to Mangalore, and from there it is about a 2 1/2 hour drive. But if you like India, and don’t mind some dusty, bumpy roads, there is always a lot to see on the way. The Neeleshwar Hermitage seems to attract people who are looking for peaceful surroundings. Only as we were leaving did we see one very demonstrative guest, who had just arrived, waving a mobile phone by the pool. The rest was a beautiful silence, in what must be one of the best hotels in southern India."MesaStila: "Heaven on earth"
"Perfect gateway from your daily routine. Feels like heaven on earth. While all the staff giving sincere smile and the warmest service , you can enjoy the best mountain view from your villa with nature surround you. This is the most unforgettable memories , and other facilities it's also one of a kind. And sure , i will be back again soon"Tugu Lombok: "A slice of tropical paradise"
"In a 3-week adventure around Bali and Lombok, the Tugu Lombok was our absolute favourite place that we stayed, hands down. The resort is stunning, the grounds are impeccable, the rooms are extraordinarily beautiful. The beach is white sand and turquoise waters. Every meal we ate (in both restaurants) was absolutely delicious. The breakfast spread is fantastic (with a particularly amazing fruit plate) and the assortment of snorkelling equipment, kayaks, and stand-up paddleboards is a great way to pass afternoons on the water. Things are laid out so that you never feel crowded. But by far the best thing about Tugu Lombok is the staff. Everyone, from Sharon, the GM, and Henry, her right hand man, to the spectacular restaurant staff, spa team, housekeeping staff, and security, were the epitome of hospitality. The staff are professional, knowledgeable, and polite, and everything they do is heartfelt and done with a smile. They anticipated our every need before we even expressed them and made us feel enormously welcome during our entire stay. We can't recommend this spot enough to anyone travelling to Lombok (and even if you're not, you might want to change your plans to include the Tugu). One small note on rooms - we had read through previous TripAdvisor reviews and decided to take the overwhelmingly consistent advice to splurge on a Bhagavat Gita suite and we were completely blown away by the beauty and design of these extraordinary villas. "Samanea Beach Resort: "Stunning location – pontoon into the sea a great plus"
"We were only there for one night, but it's a spectacular location - 12 nicely designed bungalows in a green park where you can't see or hear your neighbors. There were two Khmer families shooting their wedding albums - which gives you some idea of how nice it was - and with a 25 mètre pool you don't need to do into the sea - but there is a 59 mètre or so pier which takes you over the initial mud and far enough out that the sea is easy to swim in Food was excellent - although slightly bizarrely they had no fish or crabs. Extremely Eco friendly, and very nice staff Stayed February 2017, traveled as a couple"Dewakan: "Super meal"
"We expected outstanding food and we definitely got it, service was exceptional too, setting very serene and all added to the overall experience, one of delight all round. We even spoke to the chef/owner at the end of the meal and he made the time to speak to us properly and in depth about his concept. This isn't a complaint in the slightest, but the price was so competitive I expected less than I got! For what we got I would have paid rm250 per head and considered it value for money, each dish and snack very well constructed. Looking forward to next visit"Muang La Lodge: "What a wonderful oasis"
"Visited very briefly during an extended planned trip and had to be dragged away otherwise we would have quite happily stayed for a lot longer!! Staff couldn't have been more attentive or friendly and every little detail had been thought through thoroughly to make you feel special. Thoroughly recommended"Neeleshwar Hermitage: "Heavenly"
"This gem of a place in northern Kerala was like heaven on earth. Very elegant and huge rooms with an even more gorgeous bathroom. The beach (Arabian sea) was just perfect and very clean. The food served was really delicious and fresh. We did not take any of the guided tours offered, but I presume that is good as well. Overall, we had a perfect and peaceful holiday at Neeleshwar! "Reverie Siam: "Perfect in every way"
Don't often write a review BUT this resort deserves a really good report. It is elegant tastefully decorated gardens are delightful and restaurant excellent. Best hotel we have stayed in ever . Very French /Asian in style and it just works so well. Staff were wonderful to us and we were in the least expensive rooms. Shuttle to town when ever we wished and pick up at our convenience. On the river and looking up to the mountains at the White budda. Well worth a visitMuang La Lodge: "Belle adresse"
Here every detail is a plus that adds to our well-being ... The first place along the river, the garden, pavilions, swimming pool, warm pool .... Breakfast and good and well presented dinner. I enjoyed a nice massage. Small various attentions provide comfort (brazier, fruit in the room, tea and water available in various places) rewarding excursion in the villages. Welcome by Raphael and Mathilde.
