"Most reviews describe the lovely setting and the tranquility of Village House but for me the people there are amazing. Ever friendly and helpful, they helped to make my trip to Sarawak the wonderful experience that it turned into! The food was amazing as well.... try the chefs Sarawak Laksa... You'll not be disappointed!! If you're looking for a base to explore the Santubong/Kuuching area, that is quiet and slightly off the beaten track but accessible to the outside world? "French Colonial Property (in District 2) overlooking the Saigon River .... immaculate ... superb !!! Everything about VILLA SONG was superb, including it's location ... so close to the city BUT far enough away, allowing you to fit into the groove of trendy District 2's ever-changing residential area) Friendly staff and very very helpful. Courtesy river transport to and from the city. Grounds magnificent. Pool sparkling. Rooms in keeping with French Colonial theme ... so relaxing ... rain or shine. "If you are a lover of fine dining. Do not miss this restraunt. This is food at its best. Flavours are immaculate. Presentation by the god of artists. I am lost at how express how good the dining experience was. Service is great. Book at least 3 weeks ahead. You will have regrets. The potions are small but you don't go hungry. I have spent few nights there with group of my friends from Australia and Phnom Penh. We've enjoyed our stay very much, real Khmer villa accommodations, great pool, great local foods and friendliness staff is another plus to make this property stand up the most popular in Battambang town.
