Cuca: "One of the few favourite restaurant in Bali for me"

Review by: Faroze S | Source: Trip Advisor
Was wondering where to eat in Bali, i know there are so many sorts of restaurants everywhere and some a just a letdown....so wife recommended why don't we try Cuca, since some of her friends said good things about it. Since we are staying in Uluwatu, so it was not that far for us to get over there. We arrived slightly over 2pm and the restaurant was empty, i asked my wife are you sure this place is good? We were greeted and showed to our table...each table is separated by a curtain for privacy, so we decided to choose the table closest to the full view of the kitchen. Everyone was busy, apparently there is a close event that night. So we were the only guest. Our waitress was this pleasant looking girl that was very attentive and took time to explain the menu. We decided to try the tasting menu, i think was about 7 sharing courses. I won't go through the menu, you have to come and try it out for yourself...my only verdict is "One of the few favourite restaurant in Bali for us"

4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Absolute Bliss"

Review by: monkeyhols | Source: Trip Advisor
"We stayed for two nights at the end of our Cambodia trip and it was the perfect place to chill out completely before our epic 36 hour journey home!! As we approached the lodges I couldn't believe how beautiful the setting was its far more beautiful to your own eyes than any of the photos show. We had a lovely welcome and got all the information we needed for our stay and I couldn't wait to get to our tent. We were in West 4 ( there are six tents on each side so we had pretty views from both sides of our balcony ) The interior of the tents is far bigger than I expected and I adored the bathroom :-) as mentioned in previous reviews there is no air conditioning but there is a ceiling fan and two stand alone fans and the room was way cooler than I had expected it to be. Each lodge has a private deck with table and chairs and two sunbeds and we decided that as our time was short we would just spend it relaxing so thats what we did one perfect day internet free just lazing around. One of the staff visit in the afternoon to show you the dinner menu there is set soup then starter and dessert and three choices of main its very good value at $25 per person but there is also an a la carte menu if you prefer that. The food was lovely very nicely presented and the waiting staff were so nice in fact shout out to all staff they were without exception lovely smiling people :-) Breakfast was also very nice esp the homemade pineapple jam and the smiley pancakes :-) oh and the bacon so good :-) I loved the water glasses made out of wine bottles in the tents so enquired if I could buy one they only had one left with a picture of a pangolin on it I had never heard of this animal and one of the staff ( sorry I cant remember his name ) took time to tell me all about this endangered creature . I will be dreaming of 4 rivers everytime I use it :-) Best wishes to you all for continued success and who knows we may return one day and if we do we will stay longer :-)"

We stayed in the village bungalows with our two sons. Room was fantastic, hotel exceptional and staff amazing. Well worth the money. Great position in sanur. Beds amazingly comfortable and the feel of the hotel is one of classic old style bali. Truly enjoyed our experience here and will return. Jacky Fidler Darwin

VILLA SONG SAIGON: "Holiday in heaven"

Review by: Tanya B | Source: tripadvison.com
"We have spent a very relaxing and peaceful time at this wonderful hotel. Located along the river and just far enough away from district 1 - Villa Song was the perfect escape from the daily adventures discovering Ho Chi Minh City, Chi Chi tunnels and Mekong delta. Highly recommended. "

Exceeded my expectations. The presentation of each bursting-with-flavour morsel was very creative and enhanced the dining experience.

JL Studio: "Amazing. Just amazing"

Review by: DMS123 | Source: Trip Advisor
Booked through a website called Secret Tables. When I arrived I was escorted to a secret table. Basically a room with a little table just for me. Bit weird. But loved it for that very fact. Staff were brilliant. A lovely candle. Won't spoil it for you. Just admire upon arrival. Highly attentive service. Subtle at the same time. Welcome drink amazing. And more if desired. Then the degustation meal came. Each dish a masterpiece to be admired before consumption and more so upon it. Great thought has been put into the entire experience of dining here. You will be rewarded for going. There will be no regrets. I walked 5km to get there from where I was staying. Not a step back unworthy of what I encountered. Congratulations team. Soon you will have a star or two and they will come. Please change nothing when the deserved success arrives.

Mathis Retreat: "Fantastic place with great food"

Review by: Wang S | Source: Trip Advisor
Stayed at hotel for 2 nights, the place is fantastic and unique, rice field right at the backyard, relaxing and refreshing. When we finished roaming around ubud, we always stoped by terracota restaurant at the hotel to get some desserts. And waht desserts! Must try the profiteroles. Overall great experience, something you dont get even at five stars.

Noel Rodrigo’s Leopard Safaris: "Great time"

Review by: Sis S | Source: Trip Advisor
"I loved it! From the first steps we made into the camp, till the minute we had to leave. Noel´s Safari Camp is probably the best and most ecological way of luxury living around the national park. Every tent has a comfy bed with netted windows, monkeysafe and outdoor styled bathroom facilities, solar lights, eco soap and wonderfully scented and clean towels and linen. Although we knew that we´re already in the national park, surrounded by wildlife we felt totally safe. We sadly didn´t get the chance to see any leopards on our safary, but the fact that we could spot lots of other animals in their natural environment itself is woth going there."

Les Maisons d’Itac: "BEST PLACE EVER! Suite Télémac ❤️"

Review by: Shy D | Source: Trip Advisor
"It's been a long time since I've been in the Philippines and it was his first time to go for a proper visit (stopped over on the way to Australia back in '99). I wanted to make sure he sees how beautiful the islands are and make him experience local culture and the Filipinos signature hospitality without compromising some luxuries. Boy, oh boy, this place made an impression! Our first time in Cebu coming from an awesome 3 days in Boracay, we thought this place will have to work really hard to impress us. We arrived at the Cebu Mactan airport and was picked up by a friendly ""Kuya"" that we arranged with Sir Bryan. His car was clean and he let us do a bit of shopping at the nearby Savemore supermarket while he waited at the parking lot. I admired his patience. He told us it'll take around 3hours to get to the resort and I thought we were ok with it. I am not a very patient passenger, plus we just came from a tiring flight and barely had time to rest. I kept thinking that I made the wrong decision with booking this property because it was miles and miles (and miles) away from the airport. Eventually, we arrived at the resort late at around 8pm and it was already dark so I was like, ""okay, give it a chance in the morning"". We were lead to our private villa and I was pleasantly surprised at how perfect it was with our own pool, 3 rooms, a hut and a cabana! Sir Bryan called one of the girls to fix us a meal and it was delicious. I am not kidding, it was. We were the only guests because it was the town fiesta (festival honoring the feast day of their patron saint) and Sir Bryan was worried that guests might not be happy with the noises the parties might cause. I was warned about this beforehand but we were totally ok and were actually planning to join the party. In the morning, we woke up and our jaws dropped after realising how gorgeous the whole property was. Breakfast was unforgettable, especially the fresh mango smoothie/shake (so sweet and not even a grain of sugar was added in it!). On other days we had different fruit shakes and the staff made sure they were all fresh and perfect. The food, as I've mentioned, is simply perfect. Loads of activities around and we were luck enough to join the fluvial parade during the town feast and we had so much fun chasing and trying to get the passengers on the other boat as wet with sea water as we can. We ended up getting back after around an hour soaked, but incredibly happy. We had our first try with stand up paddle-boarding and it was great! People who like their own space and respect other people's will fall in love with this place. The marine sanctuary right in front of this property is a great indicator they care about the earth. It is one of the best holidays and resort I've been to. We left with a heavy heart and wished we could've stayed a bit longer. Will definitely try and visit again if we ever go back to the Philippines."
