Neeleshwar Hermitage: "Perfect end to an unforgettable Kerala tour"
Perfect sea view villa, blissful pool, deserted beach, breakfast on the beach, fabulous fresh fish dinners. Every effort was made by the staff to make our stay perfect. Great Ayurvedic massages by polite considerate staff. Loved the incense lit in the room at sundown. Even had a shirt made! We will definitely return.Glenburn Tea Estate: "Invitation to a Country House"
"Understated elegance, unobtrusive service and superb comfort food using the best of local produce with a focus on the hill cuisines of north east India sums up the Glenburn experience. Glenburn effortlessly creates the ambience of a country house weekend, with the guests mingling easily over evening drinks followed by a communal dinner around a cosy dining table with the conversation flowing easily. I asked Holly (who along with Jemima manages this gem of a hotel with easy efficiency) whether they choose their guests and she replied that the guests choose themselves! This small eight suite boutique hotel near Darjeeling sits on a beautiful site overlooking Kanchenjunga, the third highest peak in the world. The suites are cosy and luxurious recreating the life style of the tea planters in their glory days. The estate, a working plantation, continues to produce the best of Darjeeling tea, and I would recommend even the hardiest of coffee drinkers ( I am one as well ) to forgo it while they are here and focus on imbibing some of the exquisite tea's produced by the estate. There are probably places where there may be better cuisine (though I would doubt it), more luxurious digs (I have yet to see them) and maybe a location better than this little piece of heaven; but it is really how everything, including the guests, comes together which makes Glenburn truly special. Stayed March 2017, traveled with friends"Rachamankha: "A peaceful haven"
My husband and my self visited Chiangmai in 1997 and stayed at the Rachamankha. The feeling of being transported to another world is really true. This hotel is in the midst of the city but the exquisite lay out of the interior and exterior is pretty hard to beat. We spend our winters in Chiangmai since then and visit Rachamankha every week to simply enjoy the tranquility of this wonderful hotel. The staff is very attentive and very well trained. They almost guess and jump to your needs before you can voice them. The kitchen is a very good a mix of Thai and European cuisine. Good wines. We really consider ourselves fortunate to have discovered this gem. I was impressed by the owners astute insight into the the Thai culture which he has presented in his unique style. We are fans of RachamankaVilla Song: "Simply Wow"
This was the hotel we chose as our starting point for your adventures in Vietnam. And what a place. Calm location right by the river proved to be the best possible introduction. Great staff and marvelous food.Villa Song: "New Years Eve Dinner"
"We had Dinner at Villa Song on New Years Eve. The Building is beautiful and when you arrive and walk down the way to the entrance, it looks very enchanting. Everything was lit up with light chains. The table setting was nice and the waiters were very attentive. The special menu for this evening sounded promising and did not disappoint. If I had to say which dish I liked the most I couldn‘t because every single course was delicious and beautifully arranged. The dinner was accompanied by live music and later by traditional vietnamese music. We didn‘t stay overnight this time but it’s definitely on our list."Noel Rodrigo’s Leopard Safaris: "Awesome experience"
"I have to say they have an exceptional stuff that makes this safari a great experience. They are very professional and they will do the best for your comfort. The tents are GREAT, its a very nice enviroment and eventhought you are in the middle of the jungle (right next to Yala National Park) the accommodation its very clean, safe and comfy. The shower is A MA ZInG... You can shower looking at the starts. The food is very varied and includes many options of Sri Lankan food. Spending the night itself is a great experience. In my case, i did two safaris, one at 3pm and otherone at 5am the next morning, i saw among others animals: Elephants, a Leopard, Buffalos, Deers, Eagles (Grey-headed fish eagle and White-bellied sea-eagle that i can remember of), Ceylon jinglefowl, Indian peafowl Cocodrile, tons of birds (Common kingfisher, Rose-ringed parakeet, among others), oh and of course diverse monkeys. Awesome experience, highly recommended."Mathis Retreat: "Magique"
As a group of active teenagers graduating college, villa mathis was a nice retreat from our usual hustle and bustle. However when attempting to explore Bali, we found that villa mathis was a touch secluded, but this is not the blame of the villa at all. When we did explore, the staff would help arrange taxi's and suggest locations for any activity. The villa was of pristine quality and the staff were attentive and very helpful.Rachamankha: "The best place to stay in Chiangmai"
"This must be my 8 or 9th visit to rachamnkha. It is such a great place to stay. The manager, Paul, is without doubt one of the best hoteliers I have ever met. And the praise doesn't stop with him. The staff are 2nd to none. The rooms are excellent, and the garden setting that the hotel is situated in is an oasis in the city. The breakfast is the best I have ever encountered in many years of travelling, and the lunch and dinner do not disappoint. If you are staying in Chang Mai, stay here. If you are not staying in Chiang Mai , then change your plans and stay here. It's worth the trip. Without doubt, and pound for pound, is the best place you will ever stay in Thailand. "Cuca: "Worth the hype. Great lunch – next time dinner"
"We went here after getting a recommendation from someone staying at our hotel in Nusa Dua. We went for lunch and it was. Wet quiet on the midweek day that we went. I think the place would be buzzing for dinner. We sat inside in the Air-conditioning and we were served by great staff who explore menu very well and gave recommendations on how to get the best out of our experience. Drinks and cocktails were awesome and the food was perfect. My 8 year old was well catered for and we had ample food, cocktails and a couple of beers, kids meal which came to about $130. We will definitely go back but for dinner next time."Travel Asia with Secret Retreats
