Inle Heritage Stilt Houses: "The best"
We stayed here for two nights and it was wonderful. The individual room is beautifully design and has their own little balcony. The food at the restaurant is excellent. The reception has a great library. It is good to know you are supporting the local community as well. One of the drawback is that given it is so ecofriendly, we kept hearing noises from various animal on our roof which disturb our sleep a little bit.Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "Beautiful place to stay"
"We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night holiday stay at the Blue Mansion. The place is just beautiful and steeped in history. Our 'Scholar' room was spacious and secluded although the food court noise from next door is very loud at night. Earplugs provided by the hotel fixed it to some extent, but book a room on the other side if wanting an early night! The mansion is ideally located close to food outlets, markets and it's walking distance to the Fort and other historic attractions. Pool area was small but ideal at the end of hot days. Indigo restaurant on site was a pure delight. Breakfast was interesting - try the duck and noodles for a treat! Room service drinks were reasonably priced and staff were very helpful and friendly. The biscuits and rice cake surprises in the room each day, with a hand-written greeting on a leaf, were an additional delightful touch. We loved our stay here. Stayed April 2017, traveled as a couple"David’s Kitchen: "Simply winderful"
From the service, to the presentation, to of course the food, David’s Kitchen is a must if you are anywhere near the areaRachamankha: "Pretty courtyard hotel"
"* Lovely property - stunning courtyards * Nice restaurant * Big pool * Efficient service - if a bit stand-offish - not a major critcism though * Good number of relaxed social areas Would recommend it as a good place to stay - Top end and a good experience"Mrauk U Princess Resort: "Great Place to Stay"
"We stayed at the Mrauk Oo Princess resort, a sister property of the Inle Princess of Inle Lake. The grounds here are beautiful and the rooms are individual villas that are spacious. The staff here were very friendly and accommodating. The massage was delightful. We had the pleasure of staying here over Christmas, and the staff provided a superb performance of traditional Burmese dances during the Christmas Eve dinner. We thought they were professionals until we were told that they were our staff. It was a WOW moment. The food at this resort was very tasty. Our tour guide had arranged for us to take the two deck boat directly from their dock down the river for 3.5 hours to Sittwe, which was a lot smoother than the pot-hole ridden road for 4.5 hours that we took from Sittwe to Mrauk U. We will definitely be back to stay the next time we visit Mrauk U, Myanmar."Villa Song Saigon: "Awesome!"
"We arrived at villa song to a warm welcome, we booked a sanctuary suite which was very spacious and high ceilings with a lovely standard! The hotel is French colonial architecture which is gorgeous, we was also welcomed at breakfast by the manager Yega who gave us some interesting info of places to see and do in Saigon which we did and much appreciated, thank you Yega. Overall the place is gorgeous and in a great location on the river Siagon and you must take the complementary speedboat to the city!!! :)"Villa Song Saigon: "Wonderful Stay"
We stayed in the Sanctuary Suite and it was fabulous. The service was great and even if their English wasn't too good, they made up for it with their effort. Nothing was too small or big for them to make happen. The food was mostly good (some of the dinner items weren't my favorite), but you will meet their chef Kevin who is SO wonderful and an absolute gem of a human being. The pool was beautiful and a nice way to cool off in the hot Ho Chi Minh heat! They have a gym that is very small, but next door to the hotel is another hotel with a much better equipped gym (cardio and some weight machines as well as a separate free weights section). Overall, I would highly recommend this place to someone looking for a wonderful stay in Ho Chi Minh City.Pindaya Farm House: "Relaxation!"
Withing easy reach of the Pindaya shrine, this modern farmhouse in a traditional style is a place of calm relaxation, surrounded by pretty countryside, and lovely views from the house. Really nice welcome, excellent food, great room. Loved watching the sunset, and the morning (we tried doing watercolours). Bicycle rides provided.Locavore: "A Treat for all the Senses"
One of the 10 best meals I've ever had in my life. My husband and I each had the five course tasting menu, sharing the meat and vegetarian options. We simply lost count of the "extras" we were given. The food was fresh, imaginative, gorgeous, and so delicious! A meal like this in Manhattan would cost four times as much - and would not be presented by such delightful servers. I'd go every week if I lived near Ubud.THE ISLAND LODGE: "The most caring hosts"
"The island lodge is a very special place. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel like welcomed guests. We did the bike/boat tour with Michael through the banana plantations and seeing the locals going about their daily life, not another tourist to be seen. Every body is very friendly. And the whole lodge is beautiful. We will definitely return to the island lodge if visiting Vietnam. "
