What a wonderful place to stay - highly recommend it. Staff are wonderful and rooms clean and comfortable. Great food and pool/bar area. "This place is Gem in Saigon.The Hue House is just amazing place to be, the Hue Cuisine is just delicious food specially Grilled beef with Hue Sauce and Cuon Diep the rolls is just awesome. The service is good and atmosphere is good. Very beautifully designed restaurant and well planned menu. Its the Hue Cuisine food with all different variety to choose from. Lovely peaceful resort style hotel. The location is right on the banks of the Mekong with most rooms looking directly across the river. The rooms are very spacious, clean and very well laid out. The restaurant caters to both western and local cuisines with lots of choices, all very good. The spa is good although our massages were not consistent. There are two nice pools to choose between. The staff were exceptional. The wifi was also good.Les Maisons Wat Kor: "Feel like home place"
"We staid for 2 nights at Maisons Wat Kor with our family and friends and everyone loved their stay. Rooms are good size, very tastefully decorated and clean, the garden is really big and relaxing to walk around. There is a connecting room for families with the kids! The kids loved the pool and little bungalow overlooking lotus pond where they could relax and play. The staff were always helpful and organized trips to town if we wished to do so. Though it was nice just to hang around the place. We also had Spa treatments on request. The restaurant is also a lovely place to eat in the evening. We enjoyed local cuisine and had nice evenings together. The breakfast are included and are also very good. Highly recommended for family trips, romantic stay or just relaxing weekend with friends "Satri House: "A gem"
This is my second stay at Satri House, the most beautiful hotel in and around Luang Prabang. With lovely gardens and passages that open onto lily ponds and out of the way pavilions, the colonial French buildings, rooms and hallways are filled with Buddhist statues and Chinese porcelain. My room had a deliciously comfortable king bed all the hot water you need and was kept spotless and fragrant by the wonderful hotel staff who serve excellent breakfasts (my favorite: rice noodle soup with pork), delicious luncheon salads by the pool and surprisingly good French dinners served with drinkable wine at the right temperature! This is the place to stay if you're going to the fantastic Luang Prabang Film Festival in early December or want to avoid the tourist crowds in the Old Town, just 15 minutes away on foot or 5 if you borrow a bike from the hotel. This is where I'll be staying with my friends during the LPFF in 2017. Satri House is a wonderful hotel, one of my favorites in Southeast Asia.VILLA SONG : "Simply the best!"
2nd year (4th visit) at the Villa Song Saigon and certainly won't be our last. Lovely hotel in a perfect location and the management, Yega Miss Thuy, and Kevin, together with their ever smiling staff, go out their way to make your stay memorable. We have visited many countries but overall the Villa Song is our favourite hotel. Already planning our return.Mume: "A great evening, great tastes & ambience"
This is arguably one of Asia's finest restaurants … the a la carte menu is a fusion, at times I felt like at home in Sydney, at times it went to Scandinavia … The ambience is minimalist, dress code casual (loved that aspect), staff friendly and informative; the food we ordered (and most of it shared) was excellent, top marks to the wagyu tartare and ribeye. I read some negative reviews below … I am guessing people were expecting a Chinese banquet for the price. This is quite a different experience, its all about tasting the food, the fresh ingredients and the innovative. We certainly did not leave the restaurant hungry, quite the opposite. If you are a couple like us, choose different starters and mains and try as many as possible. My only objection is the wine list … for a restaurant of this calibre, they should entertain more wines … especially from NZ, Australia (they would go well with the food).Jing’s Residence: "Terrific stay, best in Pingyao"
My family of four stayed 2 terrific nights at Jing's Residence in November 2016. The staff was incredibly attentive, and very engaging and friendly to our two young children. The hotel is beautiful, clean and well appointed. Wonderful atmosphere. Fantastic food, also. Location is perfect for exploring Pingyao, and the hotel can arrange a reasonably priced car and driver to nearby attractions. Highly recommend this hotel to stay, and the restaurant also. Pingyao - due in part to how much we liked Jing's Residence - was one of my favorite experiences in China over four years living here.
