NEELESHWAR: "PERFECTION, PERFECTION, PERFECTION"
"I've been travelling to India for many decades and over the years I have stayed in some amazing places, from Maharaja palaces to colonial mansions. What I can honestly say is that Neeleshwar represents the absolute perfection when it comes to resorts. We stayed for 4 nights and I only wish we could have stayed here for months! The location is heavenly, on the most magnificent, endless sandy beach one can imagine, completely unspoilt by any kind of development. The feeling of peace and quiet is mesmerizing. The architecture and layout of the resort is a model of good taste and sensitivity, with extremely comfortable a/c bungalows in the pure traditional architecture of rural Kerala. Open air bathrooms, supremely comfortable beds, high ceilings, shady verandas and cool interiors create a heaven of understated luxury and calm. This is barefoot chic at its best. The swimming pool is vast and crystal-clear, with plenty of comfortable pool beds and with a lovely view of the ocean. When it comes to food, I can only say that it is simply out of this world: Fantastic and huge breakfasts where one can choose from extensive menus, both international and South Indian. For lunch and dinner there are two exceptional restaurants, especially for seafood -perhaps the best prawn curry I ever had- plus a wide choice of vegetarian dishes and soups that change every day. The Ayurveda massages are truly top notch, and they use only natural organic ingredients. Quite simply, they are the real thing. Very highly recommended! Last but not least, I feel that I have to praise the hotel personnel, that are all impeccable: Extremely polite, eager to help, efficient and professional at the same time. I owe a very special ""THANK YOU"" to the General Manager, Mr. Jayan, who attended to all my needs as if he was an old friend. I am especially interested in the unique Theyyam ritual of northern Kerala and I was planning to publish an article about it. Mr. Jayan did all the necessary enquiries and found out the performances that were held in obscure villages during our stay. He also organized transport and even joined us on one of the late night Theyyams, which was the most amazing, otherworldly, intense experience. Therefore Neeleshwar is not just about having ""the rest of your life"" but also about experiencing a very unique aspect of real India. I cannot recommend this place highly enough and I would encourage anyone to spend a few -or more than a few- days in this Indian paradise "Hotel Tugu Bali: "A slice of Balinese paradise"
Bali is quickly being taken up by new large resorts and modern villas, they of course have their place and their charms. If however you are looking for a true slice of Balinese paradise look no further than Tugu in Canguu. An amazing stay in a truly beautiful hotel, authentic Balinese architecture, furniture, decorations and landscaping. Their breakfast menu was superb, we could not get through it all in the four days we were there. Their cocktail menu was fantastic and lounging by their pool was bliss. The location in the middle of up and coming Canguu area is excellent located for stopping off at some of the more quieter beaches and should you wish a more chilled beach club to have fun in, The Lawn is only a few minutes’ walk away. The staff, led by Ari and Jenny were some of the most genuine, friendly and attentive I have ever experienced. My family and I were so impressed. I couldn’t recommend this hotel any more - believe all the other five-star reviews before this one and trust the many others that will follow.Supanniga Eating Room: "Review of Supanniga on Sathorn 10 (Near W Hotel)"
This restaurant has a few branches and we visited the Sathorn 10 branch. Not difficult to find as it is near the Chong Nongsi BTS station and W Hotel can be a landmark. Food was excellent with a little western fusion in the mix. They serve interesting cocktails as well. Service was attentive and good. Its not your typical thai restaurant but the ambience was good and pleasant.Supanniga Eating Room: "Amazing food"
"The food was fantastic. My sister who's lived here for over 20 years couldn't agree more with the authenticity of the food and ingredients, some even pleasantly surprised us. The service is maybe a lack of English. But they are trying very hard. Much appreciated. I'd recommend The trio appetizers - Yum Mieng Yong, Ma hor, Khaotang Namprik Kakmoo, - Yum Crispy Leaf Fish, and Hor Mok Crab Meat. "muang la: "Unexpectedly delightful"
The management is superb, each meal delicious, serene location in the countryside and wonderful staff. Also, the massages are special and the hot springs a surprise. We heartily recommend Muang La Resort to all.Golden Buddha Beach Resort: "Paradise!"
"We stayed here for Christmas 2017, it was our fourth visit and everything about Golden Buddha is perfect. The staff are amazing, very professional, always friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. Valerie the owner has time for everyone, Massi and Theresa manage the resort to perfection and Guy at the pizza bar on the beach is fantastic, he should never be allowed to leave!!! This resort is truly unspoilt Thailand, not the place if you want nightlife but if you are looking for relaxation and to completely chill out this is THE place to go. You will not be disappointed, it exceeds all expectations. All of the houses are individual, we were a party of six so Bann Mangorn was perfect for us, three bedrooms, three bathrooms a wonderful balcony with sea views to relax on. All the banns are extremely clean, mosquito nets are over all the beds and all have outside areas to sit and relax, some with hammocks. The food menu changes everyday always with an excellent choice. Christmas Eve celebrations started with cocktails on the beach beside a huge bonfire, there was a wonderful buffet with so many choices, Entertainment followed by local school children and staff, then down onto the beach to light lanterns and watch them float across the bay. A truly magical evening. The beaches are pristine clean, the front beach is shallow and perfect for children, the other beach gently slopes and is great for swimming. The only downside to this beautiful island is that all to soon it is time to leave. If you are fortunate enough to visit this island you will not be disappointed. Golden Buddha Beach Resort really is a little bit of paradise."Inle Princess Resort: "Amazing place"
"Just left after a couple of nights in a Lake View villa. What an amazing place, difficult to know where to start... Firstly, the location is incredible. Arriving by long tail boat is a unique experience and the whole resort is gorgeous. Secondly, the rooms are large and luxurious - lovely facilities including the outdoor shower. Thirdly, the staff are very friendly and the food is excellent. Finally, so much to do... we had two great half day trips on the lake and cycled to the vineyard on the last afternoon. Would definitely recommend a trip to Inle Lake"Cuisine Wat Damnak: "5 star gourmet experience"
"This restaurant is listed as one of the top 50 Restaurants in Asia, and deservedly so. There are 2 menus per night available in 5 or 6 course variants. I went twice, on my first night in Siem Reap, and then again on my last night in Siem Reap. 6 courses each time and I would not hesitate to go back if I am in Siem Reap again. The menu is updated every 2 weeks. Delicious food but the surprise is the price. 28USD for 6 courses, and you do not leave hungry. The chef greets you at the end of your meal; a lovely touch."Kinabalu Park: "Amazing view, cooling and great experience"
"I need to be at this place every year as the experiences were really great, the air much fresher compared to the city, amazing view, it was really chilling at that time about 17-19 degrees at night, but we were enjoying every moment of it. The Liwagu restaurant food was getting better compared to the last few years, the menu has been extended. However, the cakes and muffins could be better as I had last year, this year it wasn't that inviting. The next day I still see those cakes and muffins exactly at the counter, remain ""untouchable"". There are portions of the restaurant under maintenance and a huge Christmas tree is going to set up. You must visit this place for Christmas. The buffet for dinner and breakfast is ok just that it really needs some improvement to the taste. It can be much better! Last year the TV was really blurry due to the reception, I guess. But this year was better. The hotel room was clean, really comfy bed with extra blankets and pillows, really appreciate that due to the coldness. I have also forgotten 2 of my kids' jacket at the hotel, however, the ""lost and found"" team immediately took action. I have these jackets courier back to me. Really appreciate the staff effort to do extra miles for the guest. Thanks. Shall see you guys next year!"Cuca: "Delicious and delightful tapa rastaurant"
