Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "Warm and welcoming"

Review by: Dan L | Source: Trip Advisor
Very friendly staff who provided excellent service! We would recommend this place to everyone! We received a free tour as part of the guest package. We then got a privet tour by the manager. The restaurant is excellent if you want a nice meal.

Mathis Retreat: "Superbe Hotel, Un sejour memorable a Ubud"

Review by: Ben-Indo | Source: Trip Advisor
Everything was perfect, always smiling and helpful staff, infinity pool overlooking the rice fields, the breakfast very good and plentiful, the rooms beautifully decorated and arranged are very comfortable, fast WiFi throughout the hotel. Some rooms offer views breathtaking of rice fields, a beautiful sight to wake up! The hotel is quiet and intimate. This is a no-fault you can go for it.

Tugu Lombok: "SIMPLY AMAZING!"

Review by: maree m | Source: Trip Advisor
"Hotel Tugu Lombok has to be seen to be believed! The grounds, buildings and rooms are delightful, as is the natural setting - everything seemed like an adventure with something new to discover at every turn. While the hotel is not new or slick it is authentic and conveys a sense of being in Indonesia perfectly (rather than just feeling you are staying in a generic international resort). But this hotel's merits are really in the care, attention and genuine sense of hospitality displayed by the amazing staff. Everyone knows your name and likes/dislikes on day one, are super friendly but also know how to be unobtrusive if you seek privacy. There are also lots of activities that can be arranged should you wish to explore the area but it is actually very hard to tear yourself away from your new perfect ""home"", not the mention the shock of going back into the real world when it is time to sadly leave! This is our 2nd stay at a Tugu hotel (Tugu Bali is equally gorgeous) and as each seemed to very much have their own character we are planning a Tugu tour of Indonesia in the future to experience the country's culture, art and cuisine in the best possible way! Room Tip: Apenam Bungalows are in a quiet area facing a lovely grassy lawn and close to a huge, very unique..."

Chakrabongse Villas: "The perfect oasis in the heart of Old Bangkok"

Review by: heyjessnyc | Source: Trip Advisor
I have used tripadvisor to plan trips for years, but our magical time at the Chakrabongse Villas has finally inspired me to write a review of my own. We could not have found a more perfect place to spend the final 3 days of a 2 week trip to SE Asia. Atom, the manager, and her staff were incredibly warm, welcoming, and helpful in making our stay in Bangkok so special, and upgraded us to the Garden View Suite, which was lovely. Tucked away in beautiful, lush gardens right on the banks of the Chao Praya river and directly across from Wat Pho and a short distance to the Grand Palace, the Chakrabongse Villas, is truly a hidden gem. Being in the heart of Old Bangkok meant that we could return to the hotel for a quick dip in the gorgeous pool to cool off from the infamous Bangkok heat before heading out for the next excursion. I highly recommend arranging to have dinner at the Chakrabongse Villas for an unforgettable experience - the dinner we had with a private table set up on the terrace right next to the river was the most romantic, and one of the most delicious, we've ever had (the owner is a descendant of the Thai kings Rama IV & V so the dishes are from the Royal Family's own recipes). We also enjoyed our tour of Bangkok's canals in the Chakrabongse Villa's own long tail boat. If you are looking for the perfect boutique hotel that offers a peaceful, historical oasis in hectic and hot Bangkok, then I cannot recommend Chakrabongse Villas highly enough. Thank you, Atom, for helping to make our stay so extraordinary.

The River Resort: "Les pieds dans le Mekong !"

Review by: arnopeti75 | Source: Trip Advisor

Muang La Lodge: "Its a long way from anything but so worth the trip"

Review by: Captain B | Source: Trip Advisor
"We booked this hotel some time ago, aided in no small part by a series of excellent reviews on this site. It was then with some consternation, that we read a couple of rather damning verdicts that were just posted prior to our arrival. Had we made a big mistake? Had something gone wrong? Reading these reviews a second time, one got the impression that one in particular was blaming the hotel for just about everything that was occurring in the world, so we carried on regardless. We are glad we did because this is a wonderful hotel, in great settings, much attention to detail, superb food, and lovely staff. I very rarely give out 5* on a review, saving it for a truly lovely experience, and this was one of them (...). The hotel itself is small, only 10 rooms, set in beautiful grounds next to a fast moving , but shallow river, the sound of which makes a lovely background and soothing effect. It is also situated next to a natural hot spring which they have used for 2 hotel use only hot tubs and another which is shared with the locals. We witnessed Monks and local children turning up in the evening for a soak which was wonderful to see. The hotel is very focused on using as many local provisions as possible, which again we liked, as it shows commitment to the environment. They bottle water from the river for drinking use too. (...) The staff are super friendly, and of course only a few speak English, but there was never a problem because of that. As for niggles and improvements , of course there are always some, which I have suggested to the management so as not to be misunderstood by readers as complaints, because I have none really. I only wish I was rich enough to afford a helicopter for the trip here, because I would visit often. Its a beautiful experience and I cannot recommend it enough."

Manda De Laos: "Excellent"

Review by: heinzalbert | Source: Trip Advisor
"You should make reservations to get a table right next to the Lilly pond. The romantic feelings you get is fantastic and matches the excellent food and service. We had 2 main course buffalo dinners. The one that impressed us is the buffalo steak, more than the stir fried version. Meat was tender and tasty and a good reason to come back to Manda de Laos. Service is impeccable and prices seem reasonable."

Rahai’i Pangun: "Easily the best escape from Jakarta"

Review by: Anwar L | Source: Trip Advisor
"Out of the city - straight into the jungle ! I just finished my third trip with Wow Borneo. Its so great to have a guarenteed chance to see the Orangutans. The service was excellent and it was a breeze to communicate with Gaye and her crew. This is the kind of professional service I expect from Holiday destinations here in Indonesia."
