Heritage Suites: "Beautiful Oasis in this Amazing Place"

Review by: JJTales | Source: Trip Advisor
The wonderful feeling of this hotel began at the airport when you are collected in a vintage Mercedes - they give you a cool wet towel and a long cool drink. The hotel is slightly off the beaten track but it is such a beautiful place to return to at the end of a day of sightseeing and the peace and tranquility are priceless. We would not stay anywhere else. The staff were so accommodating (even when the roads outside flooded and they had to sandbag the entrance). The General Manager was always around and smiling and was so interested in what the visitors had to say. We had a bungalow which is larger than you will get anywhere else and had all the conveniences you could want or need. The pool and the food just completed the entire wonderful package. I didn't want to leave

Neeleshwar Hermitage: "The place to ‘be"

Review by: JPlant2014 | Source: Trip ADvisor
My husband and I have just spent a week at Neeleshwar and had a VERY relaxing time. The accommodation is fab-u-lous (the bathroom being semi-outdoors with tropical planting - thank goodness for the fan as it felt much hotter out there than in our air conditioned room). We had an Ayurvedic massage each day. I could get used to having a daily massage! It was wonderful! Mr Jayan and his staff were very respectful and couldn't do enough for you. Credit must go to the designer of Neeleshwar Hermitage who has landscaped the resort impeccably, with great accommodation and exotic planting. There are lots of resident birds. Breakfast and lunch were taken at their beach cafe, and dinner in the restaurant. The food was fresh and flavoursome. We even had a traditional Keralan meal one evening which was served on a banana leaf and eaten with your hands. There is an infinity pool where you can order drinks and snacks. I loved the trip on the houseboat. If I'm ever lucky enough to return, I would like to spend a night (or two) on it.

Tugu Bali: "Beautiful property"

Review by: Tripledan81 | Source: Trip Advisor
"My wife and I stayed in four different Bali hotels, and this was our favorite. It all starts with the staff. They are all so helpful and go out of their way to get you anything you need. The rooms were large, clean, provided any toiletries you may need. Fruit basket and water bottles were refilled daily. Good strong wi-fi in the rooms and all over the large property. Room was air conditioned, which was important to us. Also, it was convenient that there were no major issues with bugs or mosquitoes. It seems like the hospital sprays weekly to keep them away. The pool area is very serene. They also have some lounge chairs on an elevated area overlooking the beach. Even though the hotel is right next to the beach, it does not provide any chairs right on the sand of the beach. It has a very tight path from the lounge chairs to the beach, but that path could definitely be upgraded. Location is fantastic as it is within walking distance of numerous restaurants, cafes, shopping, and beach side bars."

Rice & Zen Boutique Resort: "Relaxing get-away"

Review by: traveltrotter2015 | Source: Trip Advisor
Rice and Zen is set in the most gorgeous location, amidst the paddies and lush landscape. Michael is a very attentive, yet discreet host and we had a lovely time exploring the local area and restaurants on the bikes/scooter provided. The pool is gorgeous and perfect for lazing away an afternoon or morning; the villa accommodation is well appointed and slept our family of 4 (kids aged 4 and 6) very comfortably. Many thanks!

Sukoon Houseboat: "A special and memorable experience"

Review by: Chris B | Source: Trip Advisor
"Even before we stepped aboard people we met were in awe of Sukoon. It is held in such high regard. The staff are exceptional and go out of their way to please and cater for your every need. We relaxed upstairs on the roof where tea and delicious homemade biscuits were served. Once you have pre-ordered the choice for dinner, it is bought locally and cooked to order in the evening. Delicious. The rooms were extraordinary with their rich wood carving and offered every modern convenience. A most memorable and special experience."

Neeleshwar Hermitage: "A piece of paradise"

Review by: Annie M | Source: Trip Advisor
"Our stay at Neeleshwar was pure pleasure. The bungalow style rooms were wonderfully comfortable with views overlooking the sea - well spaced with lovely verandah and hammock. The service was excellent - the friendly and attentive staff made the stay even more relaxing and enjoyable. Breakfast and dinner by the beach overlooking the Arabian Sea was delicious and the infinity pool and setting invited stunning photographs. Yoga in the morning was an added bonus as was the very experienced tailor who turned around your order in double quick time. The style of the Hermitage is intimate and focuses on excellent service and it is small enough to be able to deliver for each guest. A perfect end to a perfect holiday. Stayed January 2017"

Locavore: "Our second time, our second amazement"

Review by: Aureliochine1 | Source: Trip Advisor
"We went to Locavore for lunch, and again, were amazed by the whole experience. As soon as we walked in, we spotted all these amazing chefs working around the tiny kitchen, like ballet dancers except for it was their hands who were at the core of the coregraphy. Except for the ""bienvenue"", there was not a single dish that was in the menu when we visited the first time. And we therefore embarked on a 100% new cullinary adventure. We went for the 7-dishes menu, and all of you reading this and planning to try, please do the same. Yes that's a lot, but you may eat less in the evening if you are there for lunch, or just go for a walk afterwards if you dine there. Portions are perfectly sized, and there was not a single bite when we thought ""hum, pretty good"". It was a ""that's unbelievably good""!!!! We went for a very reasonably priced Tempranillo and it did perfectly match everything. We are lucky enough to often have the opportunity to eat at very good restaurants. Locavore offers one of the very very best value-for-money experience. If not the best. In our opinion that is. Make sure you book several weeks ahead if for dinner. Slightly less for lunch. Just find a way to go!"

Satri House: "Wonderful stay in Luang Prabang"

Review by: Marc D | Source: Trip Advisor
"Not by the river, this hotel is nested a 5 minutes bicycle ride from the city attraction. It is a beautiful house, and the maintenance of this heritage house is just superb. Plenty of alleys, smalls buildings set-up on two different levels, it is a pleasure to gaze around, and discovering each corner. The rooms are specious, exceptionally clean, and the quietness over there is to be treasured. A big thank you to the personnel, who has been dedicated to attend every little request from us."
