Tugu Malang: "Wonderful stay in a slightly eccentric hotel."
"What an experience!! This hotel was perfect, get the best room you can afford - it is so worth it. The hotel is an attraction in its own right, make sure you take the tour to see the VIP suites and function rooms., the bizarre collection of furniture and nick nacks courtesy of the owners. The front desk staff were extremely helpful and all of the trips we took originated from their suggestions and with their help. The piece de resistance is the full day tour to Mt Bromo with waterfall included, organised and accompanied by front desk staff (amazing). Malang itself is a wonderful indonesian city with first rate coffee shops, a great bird market and some lovely streets to walk down. PS(the free afternoon tea is a must)"Cuca: "Worth the hype. Great lunch – next time dinner"
"We went here after getting a recommendation from someone staying at our hotel in Nusa Dua. We went for lunch and it was. Wet quiet on the midweek day that we went. I think the place would be buzzing for dinner. We sat inside in the Air-conditioning and we were served by great staff who explore menu very well and gave recommendations on how to get the best out of our experience. Drinks and cocktails were awesome and the food was perfect. My 8 year old was well catered for and we had ample food, cocktails and a couple of beers, kids meal which came to about $130. We will definitely go back but for dinner next time."Locavore: "Spectacular"
This restaurant has lots of great reviews so we went with high expectations. We had the 5 course meal however there were about 4 little courses before that even started. The presentation on different rocks is spectacular and the food matches it. Not cheap but the whole experience is worth itMaison Polanka: "A little slice of paradise"
Tucked away down a maze of non-descipt unpaved lane, the gates open, and you are in a little slice of paradise. A garden you can tell has been tended for with love and care. Traditional wooded huts on stilts that house 5 rooms. Each room is different, spacious, simple and tasteful decor. We stayed 4 nights in the Yellow Room and loved it: it's at the far end, so very quiet. Loved the lemongrass essence burning when we checked in. Windows looking out to greenery. Bed is very comfortable. The bathrooom is spacious and bright with very high ceiling and a skylight. There is a smallish but beautiful pool, we had a swim every day after a morning's sight-seeing, then lunch at the pool side restaurant. The food is delicious: my first taste of Cambodian, a bit like Thai and Vietnamese, but more delicate flavours. Dinner at the pool side is wonderful, quiet, great food, great wine, very attentive service. There is a dog, a rabbit, a cat...Don't stay in a run-of-the-mill 5 star chain, I warmly recommend Maison Polanka, it's a stay you will rememberNeeleshwar Hermitage: "Silent and luxurious"
"Amazing property.. Lush green and by the beach, endless pool, good spa, luxurious cottages, extra large size rooms, well equipped baths, hammocks beside each cottage, good food and super courteous staff.. Neeleshwar hermitage was as good as it looks in the images.. Since restaurant is only for guests and not open to the public, There are limited food options, but you can pre order what ever you like, and they will prepare it for u.. Food is a Lil expensive, so you can take a package inclusive of all 3 meals! Just 8 kms from the railway station, A cab will charge you rs. 1000 for drop from the station to the resort (which is expensive, but cheaper compared to the rs. 1800 this resort charges) We stayed here overnight.. And thoroughly enjoyed the stay.. Show less"Kinabalu Park: "Cool with strong wind"
Rm3/head entry u hv to pay. Remember to pay at entry. Either u can park ur car at entry if u wanted to enjoy walk o jz drive-in. Bware drive slow with headlights 'on' as road is narrow. Very cool there as wind very very strong. I cant c too much view as weather not allow.Manda De Laos: "Amazing"
The food was ridiculously good, the setting is beautiful and the staff is great! Bit expensive as we were trying to budget but definitely recommend for a special evening! The Apsara Rive Droite: "Excelent boutique hotel"
I stayed 2 nights. It is a small and very comfortable hotel. Staff is very friendly ready to make your stay in Luang Prabamg memorable. The food was good. Hotel located on the other side of the Khan River making it quite and more local. The hotel has a boat to cross the river (2 min.).Manda De Laos: "Romantic VD dinner"
Our hotel arranged the booking and they put us in the most romantic solo table in the middle of the pond with a lit umbrella above. We had the tasting platter for 2. Food was absolutely amazing, especially the stir fried buffalo and the fish salad. The chicken stew was the real deal as it had pieces sakarn wood in it which sneaks up on you like szechaun peppercorns. Everything came beautifully presented, unfortunately it was too dark to take a decent pix with my ipad. Can't think of a more romantic place in LPQ to spend VD. The resto manager attended to us himself the whole time.Cabochon Hotel & Residence: "Delightful Period Throw Back"
We wandered down Soi 45 looking for a restaurant that a friend had recommended to us and stumbled on this little gem. We came back and booked a night. The interior design for Cabochon is a throw back to colonial past and it has a delightful old style and authentic ambiance. We loved the service and the traditional Thai/Lao food in the restaurant (the original reason we found Cabochon) was fantastic and we weren't disappointed. Cabochon is a small independent boutique hotel and it basically gets pretty much everything right.
