Tugu Bali: "Entrancing trip back in time seductive and excellent"
"A quick drive apres arriving at Denpasar we bear down on this enclave with its own laidback vibe. Its got all the blah-blah yoga resorty stuff that allow people to reconnect with parts of themselves they should keep private. Entry is via a huge open foyer, supported by towering teak beams, with history everywhere. Our room is unique furnished with ancient artworks and a giant four-poster even bigger than ours back home. Dowenstairs is a private pool. Everything reeks of history of art deco. Its an entrancing trip back in time allowing us no chance to resist the hotel's seductive charms."The Village House: "Nirvana in the forest"
What a gem....an hour from Kuching in Santobong village...taxi and shuttle available....close to Damai beach and cultural village....this oasis is so lovely it is hard to leave and go sightseeing....great food, good wine and bar selection...lovely pool and staff that go the extra mile with genuine cheerfulness....will be going back for sureDavid’s Kitchen: "TripAdvisor is correct"
"This is an awesome restaurant that has relocated to a beautiful facility near the old city. (50 baht Uber ride). A most enjoyable evening, one I wish we hadn’t missed during our visits to CM over the past 7 years. We will not make this mistake next year. Thank You David for a superb dining experience."Rachamankha: "Oasis in the midst of Old City"
Your stay in Chiang Mai will be very special when you stay at Rachamankha. The grounds are beautifully landscaped, gorgeous antiques abound throughout, and the guest rooms are spacious and well designed. There is a huge pool with beautiful blue tile, a library offering books as well as brandy, and a restaurant that offers wonderful Asian and Western dishes. The property provides a very peaceful and tranquil environment and children are not allowed as guests to maintain the ambiance for adults. There is a large DVD library available for free viewing. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Please note, it may be hard for taxi drivers to find as it is on a small lane/alleyway - my first driver had to call the hotel 4 times before finally finding it! But it was well worth the effort.JL Studio: "Memorable experience"
"We went to JL Studio to celebrate my girlfriends birthday. The booking process took a while because the phone number is used by the restaurant below and there was some kind of miscommunication, however, all was sorted out. Upon arrival, we were greeted by staff, sat down and offered drinks. I'm quite a talker and it was great that the staff were so friendly and easy to talk to. Our waiter explained to us about the meal that we would soon try. The thing that he made very clear to us is that the progression of meals would be like a journey, that was definitely the perfect way to explain it. Over the 8 or 9 courses, the meal progression was perfectly set up, the flavors were well defined and everything was delicious. When the signature dish came out, the vision was explained to us by Chef Jimmy himself. He stayed a few minutes and spoke to us which was a very nice gesture. I told him that one of my favorite Singaporean dishes was chill crab. He told me that upon my next visit, I'd just need to mention it to him and he would prepare it for me, again, the feeling of importance that he gave me was a nice touch. I'll definitely be going back, hopefully for my own birthday this November."The Island Lodge: "Excellent stay"
"When searching for a good hotel for a weekend in-between business meetings in Manila and Hanoi, I found the Island Lodge, conveniently near HCMC where I needed to change flights anyhow on my travel to Hanoi. The hotel arranged for transport and I arrived after a 2hr drive from HCMC airport. The lodge is situated on the ""Unicorn Island"" in the Mekong Delta. Owner/manager Michel and team made sure I received a good welcome and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner. The lodge is in a quiet area with great, comfortable and well equipped rooms. There is a large swimming pool overlooking the river. The restaurant (also used for breakfast) is designed with great care and offers a very good choice of food, both Vietnamese and French. It is a great place to relax for several days or a (long) weekend. I also enjoyed a boat tour to My Tho, a city about 20 mins away from the hotel. The second day of my stay I took a 4 island boat tour which offered a great impression of the Mekong area and islands. In one word: excellent! Will try to visit again soon! Room Tip: There are also 2 bungalows with 2 bedrooms suitable for families"Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "Dale"
2015 review, this place is heaven :)🎂 stayed in front left room was so nice I wonder if the original color was white but the blue is fine, it's peaceful but we did get hit by lightening the night before we left, well the mansion did and the paintings fell off the wall hehe☺David’s Kitchen: "Impeccable experience and amazing food"
My fiends and I (all in our 30s and foodies who travel all over the world) went to Davids based off a friends recommendation. When we arrived, we were so pleasantly surprised to have David himself greet us at the door. Our table was ready with a welcome sign with our names at the table (small detail that not many restaurants do). We tried 4 appetizers, 3 dinners, a dessert and signature cocktails. Every thing we ordered was so delicious and presented perfectly. The pumpkin soup was phenomenal. We also had escargot, surf and turf, lamb shank.... I can't say there was even the simplest thing that we didn't love. Knowing that we're foodies, we told David who offered to take us into the kitchen and we took pictures with all the chefs. They then followed us with a personalized email which just was the perfect end to an already fabulous! Highly recommend making a visit.... you won't regret it!The Twelve Hotel: "Nothing better"
Good choice, we read the reviews and this time we have not freagato. Clean place quiet and in great location. Comfortable rooms. From here we move on public transport in all directions. Then in the evening, after all the day in the chaos of Bangkok it looks like an oasis.MesaStila: "Boutique Villa in Javanese Style"
Heard the story from staff that a Spanish lady built this place and all the villas were moved from somewhere in Central Java so that all villas are unique. I joined the coffee plantation trip and liked it. Also I bought one pack of coffee beans from gift shop, which was quite nice actually.
