MesaStila: "Simply Paradise"

Review by: Stephanie F | Source: Trip Advisor
Surrounded by nature you reside in beautiful and authentic houses that just invite you to dream. The service is great, everybody is very friendly, the food is incredible and we felt truly spoiled. Start your day with a tasty breakfast and a healthy juice from the medicine lady (we just loved her), then visit the coffee plantation with a very charming guide and enjoy some hot bananas and end the day by chosing a tasty meal at the restaurant. Make sure you leave room for dessert. Furthermore, the guide from the hotel that accompanied us to Semarang guaranteed for a perfect day outside the hotel. We had a wonderful time and could really relax. It is also worthwile to book a spa session. The Hamam is incredible and the place is so lovely decorated. All I can say is that this place is truly Paradise.

Manda De Laos: "Wonderful Evening"

Review by: RealTravelPro | Source: Trip Advisor
"We had a romantic dinner here on the last night of our stay in LP and it turned out to be the perfect location! Beautiful setting and atmosphere. You sit right by the lotus pond. Food and drinks were lovely, the staff very attentive. Of course you can get cheaper meals in LP but this restaurant is really special and more upscale. There is a secluded table in the middle of the pond, which you can reserve for a very private dining experience. As far as food goes, I had the vegetarian stew and one other home made ice teas and really loved it."

Reverie Siam: "The most wonderful hotel I have ever stayed in"

Review by: andrea3000 | Source: Trip Advisor
Jobwise I have stayed in some of the fanciest and most expensive hotels throughout the whole world. But this is one of the nicest, most charming, most wonderful places I have ever stayed in. The staff is simply perfect. They don´t breathe down your neck but are always taking care that you might feel even more comfortable. Stylewise this resort reminded me of Luang Prabang and the great architecture of Indochine. Every gramophone, every chair, every pillow has been picked out with perfect style-and I truly would not have blinked if Hercule Poirot himself would have been sitting in one of those inviting armchairs. Situated directly by the river, one has perfect privacy if wanted. The two pools are great to swim and sunbathe and we even had a picknick (we brought ourselves) in the pavilion. I found it very hard to leave but am sure to return. Oh- I forgot to say that the rooms are not only lovely with their big beds, the bathroom with its huge detached tub and all those perfect fittings let you travel back into time. This resort is not only wonderful-is has soul and true style.

Villa Song Saigon: "Postmodern Colonial Style Perfection"

Review by: Spangolo | Source: Trip Advisor
"In district 2, Villa Song is perfectly located along the Saigon river with scenes of the rural outskirts and industrial trade by cargo ship directly before you, to give a sense of location and culture. Being slightly out of the centre of the city and right on the banks of the river, means the air there is a slightly more fresh. Villa Song is a mightily impressive building, reminiscent of a palatial colonial outpost, yet it is only a few years old. The service is exceptional and the catering is world class. The outdoor bar and dining area is truly lovely. You can only be made to feel special here and although we only stayed 2 nights, my Husband and I found this hotel to be faultless. A nice touch was the complementary mini bar, including water, juices, soya drinks and beer, and fresh tropical fruits. The fixtures and fittings are top quality too, solid and robust and classically designed...everything for your comfort. We adored our stay here."

Bassac Cruises: "Very enjoyable and better than expected"

Review by: Infrequentlunch | Source: Trip Advisor
We were lucky to have been allocated Bassac 1. I say that because she is an original vessel with fewer cabins than her sister boats and has a very pleasing worn in feel. We were greeted on board by the charming and friendly crew who looked after us very well throughout. Other reviewers have kindly given the details of the various things that you can see on or off the boat but my take is that this is definitely something worth doing. Sitting on deck as the sun sinks below the river is a wonderful experience. We would have happily spent another night on board.

Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "Interesting architecture"

Review by: jim_s69 | Source: Trip Advisor
Interesting architecture in this sympathetically restored heritage hotel with interesting history as a home prior to conversion to a very comfortable hotel. Has been used as a film set due to authentic exterior, Lots of information available

Muang La Lodge: "Super get away."

Review by: AllanRosemary | Source: Trip Advisor
"Great small lodge right on the river Ou. Indeed the swimming pool is on an island in the middle of the river that you get to via a wooden bridge. Lovely big rooms (somewhat like a Lao 'Tudor' look with all white and dark exposed timbers). Super meals ... dinner is a 5 course degustation. There is a natural hot spring that the locals use, and the lodge has permission to pump from the spring into two huge baths on small towers for the use of guests from 4.30.pm when it is still 42C - let it cool into evening a little! Great local market if you want to rise at 5.30am and have a bit of a stroll into the village. Don't miss a trip to the hill tribes. Loved this place."

Flower Island: "Relaxing in paradise"

Review by: NomadicBoys | Source: Trip Advisor
"Staying here was like being in paradise- your own tropical heaven away from everything. There's some incredible coral reef around which makes for some excellent snorkelling: we saw turtles on a number of occasions as well as a plethora of tropical fish. They also have some giant clams in the coral right in front of the beach. The staff were really friendly and welcoming and on one day took us to a pearl farm. I highly recommend a visit to the pearl farm - it's so fascinating to see this industry at work (not to mention more amazing snorkelling opportunities along the way!) (...) You can also hike up to the light house (around 10-15 mins) to get some lovely 360 degrees views. And there is a stone path going around the island for running: a complete cycle is around 1.7km, so 3 rounds, we did 5.5km ish. Oh - and did I mention those stunning sunsets...?"

Jings Residence: "Perfect"

Review by: Donatella S | Source: tripadvisor.com
This charming hotel reflects what for me is the real luxury rooms with all comforts but without redundancy, the materials of the hotel and the rooms are very tastefully decorated rooms, essential and refined. In a country where chinoiserie are on the agenda, see rigor and sophistication make this place a place where you want to stop and savor a bit 'of tranquility. The hospitality of the staff is absolutely the best I've found in China. I liked the fact that it is a structure with a floor, every room and it faces a courtyard, all very nice.

Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "Vénérable maison"

Review by: Quinouille | Source: Trip Advisor
