Maison Polanka: "Amazing! A paradise!"
"This was my second visit to Madison Polanka and it did not disappoint. From the minute you walk through the gate, you are greeted with peace, tranquility and beauty. The staff greet you by name, go out of their way to be helpful in every way but are not intrusive. They are thoughtful to your every need. Whether it be a cold towel when you arrive back from town, a cup of tea after your massage or buying you goggles from town when you have forgotten yours. No request is too little. This is by far the best boutique hotel I have stayed at- ever! The food is above expectation. Breakfasts are served next to the pool and lunch and dinner are a'la carte. The fish amok is amazing. Free, well maintained bikes are available for a 15 minute cycle into town, which include water, locks and ponchos during the rainy season. There is also the Friends restaurant, Marum a 5 minute walk that has beautiful food and is a NGO project. The Khmer house is out of this world, and would definitely recommend for a special romantic getaway. The rooms inside the house are also all beautiful and would thoroughly recommend. I really can't say enough about this place. You must go! Special thanks to Cathy the manager and Lawrence."Reverie Siam: "Nice stop for relax"
Travelling north of Thailand we stopped at the Reverie Siam resort in Pai. All service from check-in to check-out was attentive and friendly. Very spacious room with a comfy bed. Breakfast was very good! A perfect stop for anyone looking for fresh mountain air and peaceful serenity within Pai.Rachamankha: "A perfect oasis in the city"
It is everything that all the positive reviews have been about. The perfect getaway for someone who needs a beautiful ambience, and oh so different from the cookie cutter chains with their flashy marble foyers and crystal chandeliers. Truly a boutique hotel. Small enough for personal service but large enough to provide all the comforts needed. A beautifully maintained garden, extremely tasteful. A credit to the owners who I gather live within the compound. Incidentally it is well located, within the old walled city. Highly recommended.Le Du Wine Bar & Restaurant: "Taste explosions all night"
Finally made it to Le Du last night, and it was amazing: we took the 6 course tasting menu, creating a long series of taste explosions in my mouth. Authentic Thai taste in a different, deconstructed form - like the short beef rib dressed as a Khao Soi (but without the soup), or the phenomenal river prawn with Chu Chi sauce (but not a curry). It's all very creative, well presented and served, by very nice and knowledgeable staff. Let's not forget the desserts, they are delicious and very creative, too. Nice wine list as well. Fantastic restaurant.Glenburn Tea Estate: "All you need to know about tea"
A fantastic three night stay on the Glenburn Tea Estate. Amazing, sumptuous suite with fabulous views of Kanchanjunga, Sikkim and Darjeeling. Delightful guide lead walks around the tea plantations and a very interesting tour of the tea factory complete with tea tasting. The food was exquisite, the setting dreamlike and the service second to none. The 40 minute jeep drive from the main road down a very bumpy, twisty track descending 3000 ft is not for the feint hearted, but for others it may add to the adventure. The drivers were marvellous. We never fealt unsafe.Supanniga Luxury Bangkok River Cruises: "Spectacular!"
I'm not exactly sure what web thread I followed to discover this jewel of a dining experience but I'm thankful for finding it! From the moment we were escorted onto this intimate floating restaurant to our departure two hours later, we felt like royalty. Champagne, a six course Thai feast (explained each step of the way by our server), tastefully selected music, and the exotic sights of the illuminated shoreline made this absolutely remarkable.Mrauk U Princess Resort: "The best resort in Mrauk Oo"
You can't go wrong by booking a sister's resort of internationally acclaimed Inle Princess Resort. Great bungalows, friendly service, nice atmosphere. Definitely exceeds expectations for such a off the beaten track destination as Mrauk Oo.Satri House: "Best Hotel Ever!"
"Perfect hotel for who want very private & relaxing place. You will feel that you're perfectly cared by entire hotel associates and that will surely make you big fan of Satri. I would give 10 Stars Satri if I could! ^_^ Perfect room condition. Tasteful foods. Relaxing garden. Satri is not large but it has everything perfect."Flower Island: "Fabulous cook"
"We stayed 4 nights on flower island in Bungalow number 5. The room was very clean and spacious, a few meters from the sea, under some trees; perfect for a nap under the shade of palms. The island is small but not tiny, and there are quite a few options for activities: snorkling, kayak, etc. Stuck on an island is nice to know you'll have a good meal, and what a cook they have! The food was delicious, lots of options with fish, meat, and veggies. We loved it! The staff is super nice and very helpful. They organized a show for Chinese New Year, and your could see how they enjoyed entertaining their guests, it was really nice. Highly recommended place to stay in Palawan. Stayed January 2017, traveled as a couple"Tugu Lombok: "Christmas getaway"
"Excellent service where staff knows your name and you are guaranteed to enjoy the privacy and good food. The place also has tons of art allover as the owner is a collector. Great excursions with knowledgeable guides taking you around. Will definitely come back to this hotel and recommend to all my friends."Travel Asia with Secret Retreats
