Kinabalu Park: "A Paradise up in the hills"

Review by: ngsuaneng | Source: Trip Advisor
My cousin and I stayed at one of the units in Nepenthes Lodges managed by Sutera Sanctuary Lodges. The lodges are located right in the heart of the Unesco World Heritage Site. We had the luxury of a two storey lodge with two bed rooms, a balcony, a nice sitting room with a fire place and a kitchen. The place is well run. I would like to commend the manager, Alvina, who was very concerned about us after we checked in, as it was raining heavily. She made sure that our small requests, including room service, were met with great efficiency. From the lodge, we could see Mount Kinabalu, the highest mountain in Southeast Asia, and misty rain forest around us. It was so relaxing staying in the lodge and taking cool walks to see the flora and fauna in a natural setting. Temperature at this 5,200ft highland was very comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay and appreciate the good service.

Tugu Malang: "Exquisite"

Review by: cdnkittykat | Source: Trip Advisor
"Treat yourself and stay here. The team is professional, the food is excellent, the facilities are first rate, but all that aside.... this hotel is all about the ambiance. Consistent with the Tugu group's Jakarta restaurants, the hotel is completely filled with historical treasures, all in their signature charming-quirky-spooky-fascinating-yet-luxurious way. my only complaint is that I wanted to learn about all the pieces, but there was no way to- i reckon little description cards next to everything there would totally ruin the aesthetic. And if you are going to stay here, i reco you go all the way: We stayed in the Zamrud suite - such a treat to climb UP into your four poster bed after a bath in that gigantic tub (you can't not). and if not occupied, make sure you get a tour of the luxury rooms- they are beautifully and very creatively designed. great location too for Bromo tours and all kinds of city exploring- Malang is a lovely city- enjoy!"

The Island Lodge: "Excellent lodge located right in front of the Mekong"

Review by: fabriceetpaola | Source: Trip Advisor
"We enjoyed a lot our stay here starting with the pool just in front of the Mékong. We had a room with a large terrace and with a great bathroom. The bedoom itself is a bit small to accomodate two kids but that was ok. The owner rented us a car with a driver, that was very convenient. It is so nice to see someone willing to please his customers by any means.Highly recommended to anyone willing to visit the Mekong delta."

Cuca: "Exceptional!"

Review by: zsuki | Source: Trip Advisor
"This was easily ranked one of, if not, the best meals we've had in Bali. The property sits on a beautiful idyllic garden surrounded by coconut trees. It has an open concept kitchen and I diners sat by the kitchen counter. Service was excellent, in fact, more than excellent. So much attention to details without being intrusive. Food was an explosion of Flavours. I'm not going to list what we ate but everything we had was amazing. It's the first time I went to a restaurant and not take pics of the food as pics will not justify the experience. Like it says in the menu, come with an open mind and an empty stomach! Totally worth it!"

The Island Lodge: "Very recommended place"

Review by: ly_bendita | Source: Trip Advisor
I didn’t stay here, I only visit friend whom was staying there. This place a hidden gem, very quiet and peaceful. I really impressed when the owner also greet the their customers and visitors, the staff also very friendly. I tried their croissant, the taste just so lovely. Maybe sometime I would love to come back and stay there with friends for a night.

The River Resort: "A destination in iteself"

Review by: Vincent G | Source: Trip Advisor
I am just back from an extended week-end trip to The River Resort. The resort is so peaceful, the rooms are absolutely beautiful, with large terraces, and the outdoor shower is fabulous! We went to visit the temple and some waterfalls, and I had not realized that so many other attractions are available nearby. That is great: I will come back then :)

Maduzi Hotel: "Boutique elegance off Sukhumvit"

Review by: PhineasFogg54 | Source: Trip Advisor
The hotel is small, at just 40 rooms and is situated on a triangular corner site beside Soi 16, hence the unusual layout of some rooms. It is packed with interesting objets d'art. When I arrived, I was upgraded to a corner suite, which was just delightful. The bed was an enormous California king, I had a big desk and chair, armchair, breakfast table and 2 chairs, plus a huge ensuite with shower and jacuzzi bath. The toilet was separate and there was even a luggage room on its own. All decorated with understated stylish panache. Also in the room was an espresso maker, CD player and a free minibar of soft drinks and some snacks. Breakfast was served in the downstairs restaurant. While individual dishes were interesting, with a European influence, I must say I was disappointed by the portion size. I would have preferred a buffet, but maybe that is not an economic option in a hotel that size. It is 5 minutes easy walk to Asok station on the BTS. Staff service was friendly and individualistic. Would definitely like to revisit.

SEEDS Restaurant & Lounge: "Excellent"

Review by: SmallWallah | Source: Trip Advisor
We were a bit reluctant to go as it was 40 minutes from the hotel in the awful Yangon traffic, but it was superb and well worth it - despite the restaurant having a party of 100 Swiss pensioners there as well! The food and service were terrific.

MesaStila: "Coffee Plantation in Paradise"

Review by: Kathy M | Source: tripadvisor.com
"What a peaceful and beautiful place to stay! The late Gabriella Teggia worked a miracle when she put her heart and soul into saving this part of Indonesia! The plantation itself is incredible; the food at Java Red and Java Green Restaurants was amazing; the staff are kind and welcoming; and the village walk to Losari and other villages is delightful! We loved the batik we purchased at Batik Losari from the charming owner and her daughter! Munir, our guide for a day trip to Jogjakarta, tried very hard to show us all of the sights. Tia gave us an excellent tour of the plantation itself. In the restaurant, Nur, Ana, Deby, and several other amazing young people did an excellent job taking care of us. We would highly recommend at stay at this wonderful retreat! "
