LEOPARD SAFARIS-WILPATTU: "Very good experience"
"We stayed as a family for two nights which allowed for four safari drives. The camp is tented and set on the edge of the park (about 5 mins drive to the park). The camp is incredibly peaceful during the day with an abundance of birds and butterflies, and whilst sleeping arrangements are fairly basic it is perfectly comfortable for two nights. It's definitely worth using the foam ear plugs to get a good night sleep given nature's noise levels increase at night. The food and service were extremely good...we were looked after by a wonderful team led by Danu and Sajit and couldn't have expected or wanted anything more. The safari drives were fantastic...Wilpattu is breathtakingly beautiful and far less crowded than many other parks. Couldn't recommend it more highly. "The Island Lodge: "Fabulous quiet paradise"
"We absolutely loved this hotel. It is a quiet luxurious break from the hustle and bustle of other Vietnam locations. We spent three nights there and didn't want to leave. It is a small boutique hotel, which provides fabulous service by friendly and professional staff. As it is rainy season, the hotel was very quiet and the staff outnumbered the guests by far. The facilities are fabulous. The gardens, pool area, bar and restaurant are lovely. The food is delicious and breakfast as much as you can eat. The spa is very nice and I spent a couple of hours being pampered. The owners, Michel and Francoise, greeted us on arrival and made a point of saying goodbye when we left, all adding to the feeling of personalised service and luxury. This hotel is a bit more expensive than others we have stayed in in Vietnam, but very reasonable compared to European prices. It is worth every penny. It was a small parcel of peacefulness in an otherwise hectic schedule. I'll definitely be back if I'm back in Vietnam."Villa Mathis: "A little gem"
"Went there without knowing what to expect and what a great surprised! This property is one of a kind, few villas scattered in a huge tropical garden, we were staying in Villa des Rizières with friends and everything was perfect, the bedrooms really nicely decorated the lodging area to die for and the pool just gorgeous!!! The staff is really helpful dedicated and friendly... I strongly recommend this place to anyone wanting to be close to Semyniak and Canggu but in a quite and stunning environment. Stayed March 2017, traveled with friends"Dewakan: "Amazing restaurant – GO"
"When we watched John Torode's Malaysia programme back in the UK , he showed this place and so we booked it for our last night in KL. I have to admit as it got closer I got concerned that we had made a mistake. No malaysian we spoke to in KL had heard of the place and it soon became apparent that it was on the outskirts of town, a good hour away from central KL and forms part of the KDU campus. I need not have worried however. The whole experience from start to finish was brilliant. The service was attentive, the team enthusiastic about the food and the food itself was inventive and interesting. We had the 17 course tasting menu and every dish was different and innovative in its use of traditional Malay ingredients. Notable dishes included a perfectly rendered crispy duck skin over succulent rare duck meat, as well as the almost Heston Blumenthal like childish fun of putting together the slow baked red snapper in broth dish. There was only one dish we didn't particularly enjoy, which was the prawn dish and we found the texture of the raw prawns a bit odd, but it was clever cooking nonetheless with the flavour combination. This place is worthy of a Michelin star. My only concern is that being so far out of town and having only 10 tables, it is not getting enough clientele. So please, please if you enjoy inventive and innovative cuisine, go to this restaurant."Sanak Retreat Bali: "Fantastisk sted, super service og dejlige villaer"
Neeleshwar Hermitage: "Heavenly peace"
"Everything about the Hermitage was wonderful - the room, the bed, the pillows, the care taken to make sure everything was perfect, the food, the off site activities offered ( alt bought these were expensive) Forewarned, we had pre- ordered full board to avoid a large bill at the end so that worked out well. Highlight was a trip to the jungle to see a Theyam ceremony. Unforgettable! The sea was like a warm bath, the food and company and the pool were all excellent. One recommendation though - mosquito burners in the spa reception area. Can't wait to return - think about it every day! "Mathis Retreat: "A real retreat in beautiful surroundings with wonderful staff"
We received a wonderful, warm welcome at this peaceful haven which is a 10 minute taxi ride from the centre of Ubud. We chose a room in the new block overlooking the rice fields which was just beautiful- the pictures on the website do not do it justice. Fresh fruit was delivered to our room each evening. Breakfast at the Terracotta restaurant overlooking the rice fields was lovely and eating there in the evening was magical. The staff go out of their way to be helpful at every opportunity. We used the hotel as a base from which to explore this fascinating part of the island and would definitely recommend it. Only slight con was the wi fi was very temperamental but a small price to pay!Jing’s Residence: "Why did we stay only one night?"
"Actually, the answer to the question in the title of this review is that we didn't have more time to spend on holiday. Our greatest mistake was not having two nights at this lovely hotel. Imam at reception was kind and welcoming. He made us feel right at home. The room was gorgeous and the courtyards of the hotel are lovely. The hotel is so quiet - it was the best night sleep we had the whole holiday! The breakfast was off a menu and the choices were both Chinese and Western. And both of our choices were delicious. We also decided to eat dinner at the hotel. It was ""upscale"" pricewise, but the food was excellent and well presented. We also were able to try some of the local dishes which we would have missed out on if we were just wandering the streets. We would recommend this hotel to anyone - and we hope that one day we will find ourselves back in the Jing Residence.... "Reverie Siam Pai: "Absolutely amazing hotel"
"An amazing hotel set in a very quiet peaceful location next to Pai river. We were upgraded to the family villa which was one of the best rooms we have ever stayed in. The staff are very attentive but not intrusive. The breakfast was amazing with a choice of 2 courses. A wide selection of food served throughout the day with especially good tapas. We can't recommend this hotel enough and look forward the the day we return. Excellent. Would highly recommend this stunning hotel to everyone beautiful surrounding... can't wait to return.. Our best birthday ever.. thank so much Reverie Siam"Maison Polanka: "Make the Most of Cambodia"
Fantastic accommodations in the heart of Seam Reap. Quaint, quite boutique hotel that catered to our every need including creating an itinerary to maximize our 3 days exploring the city. In addition to fantastic food, they have a wonderful, helpful staff that coordinated tour guides and set up a special tour of the Diamond Silk weaving farm. A must! The pool was the perfect refresher after hot temple tours!
