The Village House: "LOVE IT!"

Review by: AdelaThen | Source: tripadvisor.com
Very romantic and relaxing place. I love the ambience of that place. Staff was very friendly. The place is very isolated and hard to find in the first place. But overall everything was fine and i would love to visit again in the future :)

Satri House: "Gorgeous little 5 star oasis in Luang Prabang"

Beautifully appointed room and super food. An oasis in the middle of Luang Prabang and is the place of choice if you want to do Luang Prabang in style. A superbly managed property with absolutely charming staff.

SEEDS Restaurant & Lounge: "I would give even more stars if possible!!!"

Review by: Aureliebubu | Source: Trip Advisor
"******************************** My whole experience there was AMAZING!!! I went there for lunch and found out on the spot that they had a special business menu, changing every day according to the chef's inspiration (and very reasonably priced). The menu is 2 or 3 courses, with a couple of options for starters and mains. The fine dinning starts with amuse-bouche and I also got some ""miniardiases"" to conclude on a lovely sweet note! The ambiance of the restaurant is lovely thanks to Lucia's care and sense of harmony. Felix, the Michelin's star chef who is running the kitchen, was not there the day I visited but he has trained his chefs very well as all the dishes were perfectly executed. The produces are fresh, locally and organically grown when possible. The staff is very attentive. More than a delicious restaurant, it is a social enterprise with the couple incorporating local skills and goods, not only the content of the plates but also in all the elements of the decor. The result is a beautiful blend which deserve many stars! I cannot express the enjoyment I had, it has to be experienced... so your turn is up, it worth the trip!!! *********************************"

David’s Kitchen: "One of the best meals I’ve had"

Review by: Meg W | Source: Trip Advisor
Incredible food, amazing service, and a nice but unpretentious atmosphere. David came by and had a conversation with each of the tables to make sure we were happy. I loved every minute of it, highly recommended.

Cuisine Wat Damnak: "5 star gourmet experience"

Review by: Richard W | Source: Trip Advisor
"This restaurant is listed as one of the top 50 Restaurants in Asia, and deservedly so. There are 2 menus per night available in 5 or 6 course variants. I went twice, on my first night in Siem Reap, and then again on my last night in Siem Reap. 6 courses each time and I would not hesitate to go back if I am in Siem Reap again. The menu is updated every 2 weeks. Delicious food but the surprise is the price. 28USD for 6 courses, and you do not leave hungry. The chef greets you at the end of your meal; a lovely touch."

Jing’s Residence: "Hidden Gem"

This Hotel is fantastic. Set in the middle of an ancient city, the hotel's design and comfort is unbelievable. Excellent food, best service, and the friendliest and happiest staff I've ever met. Loved it!

Samanea Beach Resort: "Beautiful resort, lovely staff."

Review by: SLP2206 | Source: Trip Advisor
Upon arrival really all we could do was say "wow". Samanea Resort is utterly beautiful, it is like being invited into someone's personal retreat. The resort is made up of bungalows dotted amongst lovely gardens, there is a lovely pool area and a small (man-made, not that it made any difference) beach, and a long pier going out over the sea. The restaurant/bar is lovely, with tall doors thrown wide to the views. The menu is fairly restrictive but we ate there several times and everything was perfectly presented and totally delicious. The staff are attentive without being overwhelming (for 2 days we were the only guests!) and very friendly. The rooms are nicely decorated and clean, the bathroom with the outside shower/bath area was very nice, my son and his wife absolutely loved it. It was a bit pricier than some other options we could have chosen but we all really enjoyed our stay. Located a 10 min tuk-tuk ride from the centre of Kep, but the hotel staff rang tuk-tuk's for us whenever was needed one, and the price was fixed at a reasonable rate. Due to the bungalows being within a garden setting we did find that there were quite a few bugs and creepy crawlies made their way inside, but nets over the beds and cans of spray were provided. All in all, it is a very beautiful place to stay, wonderfully peaceful and relaxing while you are there, and not too far from town if you want to go out.

Manukan Island Resort: "10 idyllic days in paradise"

Review by: juniorBrighton | Source: Trip Advisor
"Hillside villas: fantastic, bright, airy, separate bedroom and lounge, satellite tv incl movies, huge bathroom with waterfall tap over bath, good warm showers, lovely little touches like slippers, bathrobes, 2 complimentary waters, 2 cokes, and 2 sprites per day. For cheaper and no steps the beach suites are newly renovated, very nice, a couple of minutes walk from the private beach area, 5 minutes walk max from restaurant, view nice but is on edge of busy public beach. Wi-fi was assigned to each room and worked all the time for me. 27 rooms/villas total now. Beach: We stayed on private beach for 10 days - wow! Gorgeous, soft white sand and lovely warm sea, palm trees full of coconuts, views of the rainforest, sunsets, monitor lizard takes a nightly swim. The beach is cleaned immaculately daily. But the seabed does need to be cleaned more from odd bits of rubbish - we mentioned to Ben, the Manager, who is talking with Sabah Parks about it. It did NOT put us off sea swimming. Facilities: huge varied breakfast outside with fans, we had all meals outside with fans - perfect, even on the beach! 16 choices on the menu but Joey the chef made a different vegetarian menu for me every night, at a very good price, our maximum bills were 65MR pp for huge buffet , most meals were less than this, even with starters. We spent under £300 for the 10 nights on food and drink! A bargain. Alcohol expensive, as per Borneo. This is indicative of the personalised service at Manukan - everything is possible, just ask! Quiet bar, pool area very quiet but nice, small parties come for an evening meal from the mainland some nights. 3 piece acoustic & bass band serenade you every night too. Staff: EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE. Friendly, not intrusive, really care about all the clients and their happiness. Small and informal with very high standards of cleanliness and service. Thank you Ben, Welther, Joey, Sabre, Frederick, Yazid, Shima, Jessica, the new Mazilla, Nora, the band,.... The monitor lizards are safe and lovely to watch, hardly any spiders at all, but we used lots of deet against the mosquitoes (not too bad) and sand flies. There are mosquito plug-ins in the villa and a coil is lit at the evening turn-down service so you can continue to sit on the balcony at night. Things to do: we went on a day trip to Kota Kinabalu to see the City Mosque and do some shopping in one of the malls. Management and reception will arrange a boat at a good price 65 mr pp return (£13) or you can use the public one, slightly cheaper. It is only 10 minutes. From Manukan - There are watersports - thankfully they go offshore so it is not noisy, the sea-walking looked amazing, trips to other islands, snorkelling trips (there are not many fish jsut off the beach in comparison to the Maldives but other guests said the 3 island trip was good for fish). Cafe and shop run independently too if you need, but Manukan also sells the necessities, toiletries, drinks, crisps, beer in their shop too. A longer stay, 10 nights, allowed us to really appreciate this island. We had been to Sepilok Sanctuaries and also Turtle island before and were glad to have such peace in magical surroundings. Our memories will last forever. Do not hesitate to ask questions. Jayne and Mark"

Tugu Lombok: "Vast rooms with plunge pools, lots of art and relaxed friendly style"

Review by: happyholidaygirl059 | Source: Trip Advisor
"We arrived here at the end of our holiday. Set on a very pleasant quiet area of Lombok near a local village it has great grounds with lots of sculptures and rather wacky at times art but fun! Room - very big with an enormous double bed, facing out onto a sweet garden then straight onto the beach also the garden has a great plunge pool. Comfortable rooms with good linen and bedding. We had an outdoor shower, bath etc and again a back garden complete with fish and additional water features! Staff - a delight, friendly yet professional with a good sense of humour and interest in their clientele. One spent ages teaching me the local Indonesian words they really. You can have your meals wherever you want here - on the beach, by the pool nothing is too much for the staff. Food: We were impressed with he food and enjoyed trying the different indonesian dishes for lunch and even breakfast - try the black rice with coconut and palm sugar. Afternoon tea is a mixture of local delicacies and sweet cakes. Facilities: two really great pools, paddle boards and all the snorkelling great available as well as bikes. We did a snorkelling trip on the hotel boat which is a traditional craft, lovely picnic provided by the hotel. Snorkelling is quite nice although I worry that full marine control isn't quite happening in Gilli and Lombok - lots of boats and lot of fishing - so we didn't see very many big fish but 4 turtles!! We did a great bike ride and enjoyed cycling through the villages where everyone was very smiley and welcoming. We took Adi one of the hotel drivers for a day and had a day trip - he was great, flexible and recognised easily what we wanted. The grounds - they really are a delight and make for a very restful holiday. Everything is easy. I was greeted each morning by the man who did the flower arrangements for all the rooms and dining and he always offered me one of his creations....it just is a friendly and easy place. I would readily come back."
