The Apsara Rive Droite: "Fantasic"
"We had tried Tamarind a few yards along the road but they were fully booked so we walked on and found this place which seemed better. Took a great table on the terrace, plenty of room and overlooking the Mekong, couldn't have bee better! We enjoyed a really fabulous meal, plenty to eat and drink with the most sublime dessert. Two beer Lao, one vodka tonic, Khan Soy, Fried Mushrooms, Fish Cak, Tapioca, green veg for 363,000. Totally awesome with great service. Stayed December 2016, traveled with family"bali jiwa: "Coming home"
"This was our second stay in Bali Jiwa Villa and it already felt like coming home. The surrounding is breathtaking, the staff so very warm and welcoming and villa full of beauty. We enjoyed every minute. You can easily go to Ubud for shopping or dinner. Most of the time we had dinner in the villa, which was lovingly prepaired and utterly delicious. We definitely will be back."Sukoon Houseboat: "Lovely experience!"
I've spent 3 nights on Sukoon Houseboat together with my father to start our trip through India and it was a fantastic experience! The houseboat has 5 comfortable rooms, authentic but with all modern comfort and well-equipped bathrooms. We wer lucky to meet the owner, mr Chapri, a very friendly man with whom we had interesting conversations. All stafmembers are very friendly and their service is impecable and of a high level. For diner, let the chef surprise you and you will be overwhelmed! Definetely the best choice for your stay on Dal Lake!Manda De Laos: "Lovely food, plenty of choice and great service"
This restaurant was very near our hotel so we went twice. The setting is around a "heritage" lily pond which was beautifully lit at night. There was a fairly extensive menu of both Lao and western dishes. It isn't cheap but everything we tried was very tasty. It is essential to book as this is deservedly a popular spot.Mathis Retreat: "Nice stay, good pool and friendly staf"
We stayed a total of 8 nights in Mathis retreat, locally known as Kenanga. We booked a room/bungalow that was a bit more luxury. It was a very nicely decorated and spacious room with a good bed. The breakfast was nice, especially the baker's selection (croissant, pain au chocolat and toast), but after 8 nights we would have liked to have a bit more choices, especially some healthy options. We had a lunch in the restaurant and it was really nice. The pool is very good, overlooking the rice fields. The last day our flight was in the evening and the manager offered us a late check out for free! Staff is very friendly. They offer a free shuttle to Ubud centre, but we preferred a scooter, which was a bit quicker.SEEDS Restaurant & Lounge: "If I never eat out again before I die – I won’t have missed much"
"Early January found us in Yangon and birthdays to celebrate. Being treated to Seeds by our son and daughter-in-law was a gift beyond compare. The setting, the food and wine, the attention to detail all delivered with what appeared to be a comfortably casual air but so obviously wasn't. Felix and Lucia you are to be congratulated not only for your food but for the delightful attitude that you have bestowed upon your staff. Cocktails by the lake is the perfect starter to a truly wonderful dining experience. I would strongly recommend making Seeds a non-negotiable part of any visit to Yangon."Villa Song Saigon: "Fantastic"
"We stayed at Villa Song Saigon for the final 3 nights of a 21 day tour it was the perfect place to finish a very busy holiday. The room although quite small had a very large patio which we used to read and listen to music. The beds a pillows were so so comfortable and the shower had great pressure. The breakfast was Al a Carte with a good selection of Asian and European. The evening meals were good but not great and quite expensive but in saying that we ate there two out of the three nights! We sat and had our meals by the river what a pleasant way to eat. The staff were friendly attentive and helpful and the level of cleanliness 100% Although the hotel was in district two a water taxi was provided free of charge to drop us off and bring us back from the city. There are plenty of good restaurants within walking distance from hotel"Manda De Laos: "Best restaurant in Luang Prabang"
We had a very romantic dinner in Manda de Laos. Very good food, great service, and a very romantic atmosphere. Highly recommended.Golden Buddha Beach Resort: "Paradise"
"This is Thailand's best kept secret. Charming and secluded and really really well run by Massi, the hotel manager. We were in heaven and are dreaming about our next visit. No tvs, no air conditioning, running water that smells a little due to minerals, but none of it matters when you are at the golden Buddha because you are drawn into a Robison Crusoe fantasy that you seldom find anywhere these days. Lots of nature and very little to do except enjoy the surroundings. Stayed April 2017, traveled with family"Locavore: "What an unexpected surprise!"
"We got the recommendation from a friend of us and as we stayed for a view days we wanted to check it out ourselves for lunch. The Restaurant is pretty small (make your Reservation well in advance!) but tastefully decorated, with very friendly and attentive staff looking after us. For the Food you can either choose a vegetarian or conventional menu, which starts with a few Amuse Bouche, followed by the courses from the menu. The taste of the Food, the creativity and ingredients used for the dishes and the presentation of the meal was outstanding! We were so positively surprised by this meal and the Restaurant as a whole that we can't wait to be back. Many thanks"
