Golden Buddha Beach Resort: "The Perfect Retreat"
"The journey from Kuraburi pier on the long tail boat to the island is itself a wonderful trip passing local fishing boats and small islands with breathtaking views puts you at ease for what is to come. You will not be disappointed.Arriving at the Island and stepping into the warm clear blue water to be greeted by Pena the resort manageress with a traditional Thai greeting and beaming smile is an indication of what Golden Buddha is about. We stayed at 2 of the houses and loved both Baan Sparks house for the first 3 nights (...) Activities were available with Brennan the naturist who was so passionate and knowledgeable that you immersed yourself with the nature of the Island and on top of that if Yoga was your thing or not then a lesson with Alex the Yoga master was not to be missed.A trip to Kuraburi market on the speedboat with Brennan and Nika who introduced you to the local cuisine and it gave you time to do a little shopping is well worth doing. All the staff are wonderful and helpful. It's a beautiful place to relax and enjoy the views and as it is not overly populated it gives you the feeling of your own private Island in Paradise."Rak Ko Jae Seoul: "Nice experience"
If you want a "local living" experience, this hanok is really nice. You sleep on a mattress on the floor, traditional style. They serve a traditional Korean-style dinner every evening, as well as breakfast every morning. The only downsides: there is really no classic staff like in a bigger hotel, only a caretaker who changes the sheets and cooks the food, and both of the women who were working there during my stay didn't speak a word of English, so if you are looking for recommendations or for someone to call you a taxi, it might be difficult.Slow Villas and Spa: "Best place on gili air"
Such a beautiful looking place in a quite part of the island, this resort is full of lovely little details that make your stay so special. The whole team are there to help you and every thing you need has been provided. The villas are spacious and luxurious, you could easily stay for days and I wish we could have stayed longer! We visited as a big group and had so much space to spread out! Such a great place to stay, can't wait to get back!Tugu Bali: "Truly immersive Balinese gem"
Tugu is surely among the most incredible, moody hotel I have ever stayed at. The hotel and rooms are designed with a unique blend ethnic & traditional luxury from another era. We stayed at the Rajang suite with a sea view. The Room featured an enormous elevated bed that made us feel like part of the local royalty. We absolutely loved the food and taking our breakfasts in the covered daybed in the garden facing the waves and surfers going on their favorite activity. Perfect place for a romantic holiday. We will definitely go back.Locavore: "Birthday dinner"
Me and my wife loved the experience there and just how creative they were with the menu! Recommend it for a special eveningVilla Mathis: "Contents"
Excellent Hosts (Frederick and Vivi are engaging, friendly, volunteers and make it very personal stay) - Very nice hotel: modern and local - good food: French chef with original local specialties - Good atmosphere! Thank you :)Tugu Malang: "Lovely place, lovely staff"
Stayed here for just one night whilst passing through Malang. Have been planning to stay here for a while though due to good reports. The staff were super friendly on arrival and got me checked in quickly. Afternoon tea was delicious and very welcome, and then a trip to the spa for my 15 mins welcome massage plus another hour which was fantastic. Dinner was scrumptious - please note there is a separate vegetarian menu but you have to ask for it. So much food on offer! My room was great with a lovely soft bed. There are a number of breakfast menus - so much choice! I had an upset stomach and once I told the staff they brought me some herbal tea to help. The staff also gave me a free bag of coffee and some bread snacks to keep me going on my ride back to Surabaya. I didn't want to leave! Will definitely be back to explore more of Malang and experience the Tugu again. Terima Kasih banyak! Sampai Jumpa Lagi!Reverie Siam: "4th visit"
Would you go a 4th time to a hotel which you don't like? Certainly not. The Reverie Siam Resort in Pai is our preferred place to go if we don't want to spend more than 2 hours in the car from our domicile in Chiang Mai. The winding road has just been renovated and is a pleasure to drive now. In the hotel, the rooms, in particular the villas are great, and so are the 2 pools. The almost historic restaurant is a "must see experience", the food is Western but great, the wine list large and the staff very friendly and attentive. And for what if offers, the prices are fair, and on occasion of our 4th visit we even got a 35 % discount. The only downside this time was that we booked our preferred table for a big birthday, which was confirmed in the booking confirmation as well as upon check-in. When we came to the restaurant in the evening, however, "our" table was given away. It is obvious that the communication between reception and restaurant manager didn't work, at least not this time. The 35 % discount was possible a fair compensation for this mishap. But no reason for us not to come back again and again.Villa Song Saigon: "Beautiful place, thoroughly recommend"
Set on the river in an expat area, gorgeous French villa with giant pool and lively restaurant, service is great, but unobtrusive - shuttle bus into town and lots of staff information and where to eat/shop. Did a Chu chi tunnels tour with Les rives and they pick you up at the jetty - loved the place!Rice & Zen Boutique Resort: "Friendly and beautiful resort"
"Me and my friend got stuck in Samui because of a monsoon, and made a quick decision to stay at Seadance. When we got there we immediately felt right at home, and all the staff made us feel like members of the family. The weather was not on our side during the stay, but Seadance went out of their way to keep us happy. They put together parties and live music nights in order for the guests to still have a good time, the restaurant made us delicious food (try the springrolls, the crispy snapper and the white Sangria!), they helped us organize the trip home and helped us with transportation. The room was wery nice and the beds super comfy. Most of all the atmosphere at the resort was amazing. Although this was our first stay, the management and the rest of the staff made us feel like we were regulars and old friends. We would love to come back again! Stayed January 2017, traveled with friends"Travel Asia with Secret Retreats
