Manda De Laos: "Great food fabulous setting"

Review by: jeff_motueka | Source: Trip Advisor
The Manda de Laos is set among several lotus ponds. Our hotel had made a reservation for us and we had a table positioned to enjoy the sunset. That was our only disappointment of the night as the clouds rolled in at the wrong time. Everything else was perfect. My buffalo was tender as and my wife's duck fabulous. This is not a cheap eat but worth every cent.

Tugu Lombok: "peaceful, wonderful, memorable"

Review by: dswastiana | Source: Trip Advisor
"I was very lucky, because I won Tugu Raffle ticket in 2015, and we could stay for free for 2 nights at any Tugu Properties, and we choose Tugu Lombok. And we couldn't be happier. Even though we stayed there for free, the Tugu People didnt treat us any less than their high standard of service. I ve stayed at Tugu Malang few times, been to all their restaurants in Jakarta, so I have experienced of how good their services were, but tugu lombok service was exceptionally great! from the moment we arrived, we were greeted by lovely Sharron, their GM, mba Hani, the manager, and pak Hendri.. all of them were calling us by first name during our stayed, and Pak Faisal from the restaurant too... they were such a nice people..I was traveling with my husband and my 4 yo boy. and even my boy commented on how nice the people in Tugu lombok. they were very attentive and they made sure that we enjoyed our stay by always asked us whether we need any assistance, without being annoying. we stayed at ampenan 6, and in front of the room, there was a big field of grass garden, and at the end there was a swimming pool and the beach. my boy loves to swim at the swimming pool, as well as swimming at the ocean next to the swimming pool, with the local kids (he kept talking about that experience). The beach is nice, with its long white sand. it was lovely walking around the beach (the have the swing and hammock too at the beach, under the big trees). the Ampenan room itself was very cozy, big, with a high ceiling, and not creepy at all. very clean and beautiful. they have a semi outdoor bathroom with a small green garden next to the bath room. for the food : I always love Tugu's restaurant, anywhere I go, i never disappoint with the quality of their food. and we were very happy that Tugu Lombok restaurant matched our expectation. we had the best ayam taliwang in tugu lombok's restaurant ( a must try!!). on a second night, we wanted to have dinner on the beach, but when we try to to book to have diner at the beach in the morning, the reservation was full. when we came to the restaurant later that night for dinner, we met Pak Faisal and Pak Faisal said : let me try to get you guys a place on the beach, and apparently Pak Faisal set up the gazebo next to the beach, right at that moment, with all the candles, so we can have our dinner at the beach. very impressive service!! .. and on saturday morning, my boy got to witness baby turtles being release on the beach next to the restaurant ..a rare occasion ... we also had a pleasant experience riding the bicycle around Tugu lombok. We really enjoy our stayed at Tugu Lombok. and we look forward to come back!!"

Jings-residence: "Feeling Welcome In Beauttiful Surroundings"

Review by: inaz980 | Source: tripadvisor.com
Jing's Residence in the charming old town of Pingyao is one of a kind. It has all the attributes one wishes a hotel would possess, but rarely encounters in real life. For one thing, I was struck by the extremely appealing aesthetics of the compound, with its inner courtyards, its beautiful rooms/suites with all the amenities one would desire, its upstairs library with computers, its excellent restaurant... It is, however, the atmosphere of the place, the way you feel welcome and the sense that the staff cares about your well-being that really makes Jing's Residence such a unique and pleasing experience. My only regret is that, because of our tight schedule, we could not stay a few extra days and imbibe more of this relaxing, yet invigorating atmosphere.

Golden Buddha Beach Resort: "Heavenly eco-resort at the end of the world on a dream island"

Review by: Fausta N | Source: Trip Advisor
We were absolutely sensational Baan Mangon! Best location, sensationally beautiful 28 beach villas, all of which include private individuals, which are rented from the hotel. The clubhouse / restaurant and reception with shop are like old colonial villas from Indochina with many antiques. One beach is completely deserted and miles long, the other in a child-friendly lagoon. At low tide you can walk in far into paddling in flight with a kayak in the Mangrovenflüsschen and watch monkeys. On this beach it has the pizza hut and lounge chairs with umbrellas. So I do not have to eat pizza in Thailand (but they are great!), I ordered a Thai Pèicknick in the restaurant and have it delivered to the scooter. The whole resort is simply sensational, a dream, absolutely amazing breathtakingly beautiful! All eating organic, much planted himself, every day four new starters and main dishes fresh. Perfect!

4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Stunning!"

Review by: Frameworx | Source: Trip Advisor
We had a truly amazing stay here recently. You would never know that you were staying in a tent - they are luxurious, comfortable and well equipped. All of the people there are lovely and can't do enough for you. We chose to take the organised trip to the waterfall and we had a brilliant day. Our only complaint is that we didn't get to stay long enough. This is truly a piece of paradise!

Arumdalu: "Best so far on the island"

Review by: Suryo W | Source: Trip Advisor
"Im giving 5 as this is the best one so far on the island. They have to aware that it is easy to beat them if there is another villa compound opening on the island. The villa is big, toiletries is good, but there is no mirror in the bathroom. The private pool is refreshing, overlooking the forest. The food though is amazing. They took it very seriously. Great job for the chef. But the staffs at the restaurant need to level up their standard, both knowledge and service level. The beach is stunning. They should maintain the complex very well, otherwise it runs down fast."

tugu bali: "Exquisite beauty and great service"

Review by: MunichEricJ | Source: tripadvisor.com
"We were given a welcome drink and then escorted through beautiful grounds to room 209, an upper- floor Renjang Suite which was huge and featured a four-post canopy bed with carved wood, a beautiful hammered metal tub (a common Tugu Hotels feature) on an enclosed porch with views to the Indian Ocean and much more. The room was done throughout in beautiful wood and felt very cosy. The ceiling must have reached 20 feet at the top of the vault. Two Aircon units in the room kept the Bali heat in check. The bedding was very comfortable and in the serene setting with the sound of the waves out the windows we slept very well. The lighting was too dim for reading in bed, so bring your clip- to- the- book light if that matters to you! There were separate rooms for the shower and for the toilet. There was a lot of closet space and plenty of room for our luggage. Breakfast was a la carte and had a nice selection. The black rice was excellent, more or less a pudding, with coconut milk, delicious. Their omelets were tasty, too. There was delicately smoked salmon on their equivalent of soda bread, a very successful combination. The front desk, the bar, the restaurant tables and a large stage all share a big space under a vaulted roof. There was a cultural evening on our Thursday evening, no charge, and it was great. The statue of some winged beast at the back of the stage is impressive. The hotel is a showplace of various Indonesian works of art and is worth visiting just for that reason. The hotel puts chairs on the beach for guests and there’s also a lawn with beach chairs. You can order dinner and drinks on the lawn. The beach walks were great. There are lots of surfers to watch, and there are bars all along the beach in case the hot sun makes you thirsty… There were plenty of bars and restaurants all up and down the streets, too, but from what I saw between the hotel and the airport, there are restaurants and boutiques nearly everywhere in Bali, some in the least likely places. Be sure to agree taxi prices before you go anywhere as they will rip you off if you let them. Our first and only experience with this ended well because the Tugu’s porter came up to the taxi when he saw me disagreeing with the driver, and when he heard the driver’s demand he told the taxi guy to take what I offered and buzz off. After that, we were careful to agree beforehand. The location seems to be good, although this was my first trip to Bali and I do not have anything to compare it to. It takes about an hour to manage the 22km from the airport. At the end of our stay, the staff prepared a nice basket of fruit and chilled water to snack on in the car to the airport, and they all came out to wave goodbye, a very nice touch. We will certainly stay at the Tugu on our next Bali visit. "

Chakrabongse Villas: "Wonderful hotel"

Review by: Gregory G | Source: Trip Advisor
"We stayed one night in this hotel. This hotel is really beautiful. It is authentic and well located in the city. I would definitely recommend it. The room is huge and you have a large terrace. The breakfast is really good and can be served on the terrace as well. The staff speaks a very good English and are very helpful. This hotel would be a bit more expensive than other hotels that we did in Bangkok but it is definitely worth it. We hope to come back in Bangkok and stayed there. Thank you again for the Thailand flag :)"

SEEDS Restaurant & Lounge: "Best lunch in Yangon"

Review by: carolinafzs d | Source: Trip Advisor
I've read about this restaurant in TripAdvisor and went to check out when my boyfriend came to visit me in Yangon. We loved each part of our Sunday lunch. The restaurant is beautiful, clean decoration, very attentive staff, beautiful lake view and very well organized. I am not sure if it is always like that but there were 2 set menu options available, 2 or 3 courses. We went for the 2 courses: starter and main dish. We ordered a rose wine to go along. The meal started with some lovely amuse bouche and they offered bread. My dishes were delicious and so were my boyfriend's. In the end, we were not sure if we had space for the dessert but we were offered a chocolate dish as house courtesy! We were delighted! The meal and drinks were not cheap but it worth each cent that we paid. The food, the ambience, the staff, the quality, the service, all high standard. I do recommend and I hope to return soon. To the Seeds' team, congratulations! It was a lovely meal and service!

Mie Cafe: "Beautiful and serene restaurant for foodies"

Review by: Kåre L | Source: Trip Advisor
"Our relative from Phnom Penh recommended this restaurant and I am so glad we got a reservation during our stay in Siem Reap. The setting is an old Khmer Villa, beautiful garden and ponds with Koi fish. We sat on the lower floor, which I think is the better choice. We started with a cocktail to give us time to study the interesting menu. The menu included several local twists on traditional foods as well as several fish dishes from the nearby Tonle Sap. We selected a combination of fish and meat dishes and they were all good. Picking a favorite is tricky, but the risotto with fish was very popular. The kids had fish fingers and chicken nuggets, all made from fresh ingredients and popular with the children. For dessert we had ice cream, fried bananas, and the popular chocolate cake. My son got most of it into his stomach, but the rest of the chocolate cake was in his face as our full and happy group left this great restaurant. Don't miss this gem of a restaurant in Siem Reap."
