muang la: "Wonderful find"

Review by: AnnBoss | Source: tripadvison.com
"This amazing retreat is worth the 5 hour road trip from Luang Prabang. We only stayed 2 nights. Would loved to have stayed longer. The food is wonderful. The taster menu couldn't be better. All of the staff are warm and welcoming. Couldn't have hoped for more. "

Satri House: "A resort with a heart and attention to details"

Review by: Seaglass3 | Source: Trip Advisor
We stayed 5 nights at the Satri Hotel: truly a remarkable experience. The management responded promptly to email inquires and answered all questions. They walked us through the Lao Visa procedure and were at the airport to pick us up. They provided guides who were professional and helpful. Staff were amazing; food, 5 star. We appreciated the opportunity to leave a 5% tip for ALL staff when making final payment to the hotel our last day.

Chakrabongse Villas: "An Oasis Along the Chao Phraya River"

Review by: NapaBarbara | Source: Trip Advisor
This is simply an oasis, tucked behind gates in a garden setting on the property of a member of the extended royal family. We felt that we were treated like royalty ourselves by Atom and Ohm. They were both so kind and helpful. The property has a resplendent landscaping of fountains, a long trellised archway with potted orchids that leads to the restaurant, which was lighted at night, and a nice private swimming pool surrounded by landscaping. We stayed nine nights and enjoyed the Mali room. The room had all the amenities of a fine large resort but with a more charming character. The room was large enough to be comfortable. We like the coffee bar just outside our room and found it nice to come back and have an English cup of tea after our day tours. The bathroom was kept tidy with fresh towels everyday, and supplied with a nice quality of shampoo, conditioner and lotions should need them. The restaurant overlooking the river is simply elegant. The breakfast was very good and the dinners were sublime. They also have a driver that they arranged to pick us up and return us to the airport for a fair price. This was so nice after a 12 hour flight to be met at the airport, by simple instructions, instead of getting a random cab. The hotel helped us confirm the time of our tour pickups each day we were taking a tour by calling the tour operator on our behalf. They would help us to get reservations at other restaurants when their restaurant was not open. We appreciate their kind and caring assistance. We enjoyed our experience so much that when we return to Bangkok we will stay at Chakrabongse, and so should you.

Golden Buddha Beach Resort: "Paradise on earth"

Review by: A TripAdvisor Member | Source: Trip Advisor
"Me and my partner booked GBBR initially for only four days as we hadn't been to the island before but we got a recommendation from a local yoga teacher so we decided to give it a go. After we took a long boat from Kuraburi, we arrived to a pristine little bay welcomed by Golden Buddha team who immediately made us feel at home and showed us around the absolutely stunning resort. It's paradise! We've never seen a beach so long, clean and empty and sea so beautiful! The sand may not be white but this definitely is the most beautiful beach I've ever seen. The resort is also absolutely stunning, with a beautiful restaurant and gorgeous breakfast every morning, drinking fresh coconut juice while overlooking the sea :) Saturday nights are magical, the resort organised a bonfire on the beach with cocktails and then the most delicious seafood BBQ. The accommodation consists of different styled wooden houses, each of them with a unique design and hidden around so you always feel like you're alone in nature. What makes the whole experience even more special is the whole team at the resort, and especially Massi and Teresa , who manage the resort and took care of absolutely every single request we had and always made us feel like special guests. So the initial 4 days ended up being three weeks and we didn't want to leave even then."

Tugu Bali: "A new favorite hotel"

Review by: christineo607 | Source: tripadvisor.com
Stayed here in a Rejang suite for four nights and loved every minute. This hotel is the pinnacle of Indonesian beauty, design and hospitality. All the furniture is antique yet comfortable, and there is a mysticism when entering the rooms. Echo Beach is right off the back of the hotel - a beautiful spot to relax, read, swim, watch surfers. I also appreciated that the hotel fumigates the rooms twice a week to help with the mosquitoes. :) Canggu is a great town to stay in if you're looking for peace and relaxation. It's away from the crowds further south but has more than enough life, shops, restaurants, etc. Borrowed a bike one day to explore the surrounding villages and rice patties. Stayed here on a friend's recommendation and would definitely return.

Rak Ko Jae Seoul: "Location, Location, Location"

Review by: Abigail A | Source: Trip Advisor
We stayed at the Rakkojae Seoul, a traditional hanok style guest house in early October 2016 for 4 nights. Located between the eastern and western palaces in the Bukchon Village area of Seoul it really is perfectly located for visiting a part of Seoul that wasn't destroyed by the war. The neighborhood is interesting with many good restaurants and the guest house is old and charming. The Proprietor is helpful and welcoming. The Korean breakfast, served in our room, was excellent. My only caution for the traveler would be two things that the owners don't have much control over. First, Seoul has a problem with mosquitoes and since it was still quite warm in Seoul this fall, we battled very small mosquitoes in our room, despite very good screens. Could be we should have closed the shutters and turned on the A/C and we would have fared better. Additionally, keep in mind that this is a small establishment, so if others are jet lagged and forget it's 2 AM, you are probably going to be hearing your neighbors during the night. But, overall a great experience. And, when you think about it, if you want to stay in traditional housing, then you shouldn't be expecting it to feel like the Ritz Carleton.

Dewakan: "A wonderful experience!"

Review by: Ruru S | Source: Trip Advisor
It's my first time trying the modern Malaysian cuisine and it was amazing. Never knew that our local ingredients can be so versatile. Kudos to the chef team for their adventurous experiments. Full of surprises and I did enjoy all the new flavors dancing on my palate. Love the wine and fermented beverages pairing.

Satri House: "Lovely Sanctuary"

Review by: chocfudge | Source: tripadvisor.com
Pluses - Perfect in almost every way. Beautiful property. Lovely staff. The deluxe room was gorgeous & the attached balcony was a charming addition to the space. We tried the spa - that was very good too, both facial & the relaxing oil massage. For breakfast, even if you're not a noodle lover, do try the chicken noodle soup. It's delicious! And a great way to start the day, either before a day at the temples or after the dawn pilgrimage of watching the monks' procession. A nice 10-15min leisurely stroll to the town centre. Complimentary bicycles provided if you want to ride. Oh, and look out for the elephant in the open enclosure across the street from the property!

Cuisine Wat Damnak: "Incredibly outstanding, as always!"

Review by: Dan_T_Christ | Source: Trip Advisor
The owners Carole and Johannes are incredible. The staff incredibly professional. The food... Mind blowing and completely unlike anywhere else in the world! Extremely innovative menu. If you find yourself in Siem Reap, do yourself a favour and book in here (in advance due to its understandable popularity). The best meals I have eaten in all of Asia!
