The Island Lodge: "Lovely place"
Absolutely gorgeous hotel with amazing surroundings. Listed here as a 3 star but definitely worth 5+. The rooms are spacious and luxurious with a beautiful design and amazing bathroom. The pool area is great . If you are looking for somewhere peaceful to relax and rewind, then this is the place to book. You won't regret it . Thank you to all the staff and the owners , Francois and Michel , it has been a pleasure and we hope to see you again soon .Satri House: "Quiet very stylish place with excellent breakfast under new competent management"
"The place is a ""total work of art"" - the traditional building- the impressive collection of precious regional artifacts . We felt very relaxed in a wonderful secluded and quiet atmosphere- yet with one of the hotels bicycles or also by feet very close to the center of Luang Prabang or Mekong river site. The personal was very friendly and helpful -they even followed our taxi as we had forgotten something when leaving. Stayed March 2017, traveled as a couple"MesaStila: "Heaven on earth"
"Perfect gateway from your daily routine. Feels like heaven on earth. While all the staff giving sincere smile and the warmest service , you can enjoy the best mountain view from your villa with nature surround you. This is the most unforgettable memories , and other facilities it's also one of a kind. And sure , i will be back again soon"Satri House: "Just perfect"
My friend and I have just had five fabulous days in Luang Prabang, Satri house was just perfect the hotel is just stunning mixing old charm with beautiful gardens and is just so peaceful. We had a room near the small pool on the ground floor which was very comfortable and well serviced with a lovely large bathroom. All the staff were so helpful and polite, nothing was too much trouble and everyone took time to talk to us each day. We felt very welcome and at home there. We used the spa which was very relaxing and the restaurant, where the food was amazing, but more expensive than the good places in the town and very quiet. If you want peace and quiet and the bonus of being able to walk or jump in a tuk tuk for the short ride into town then this hotel is ideal. It doesn't have super modern bathrooms and shiny TV,s or an expansive breakfast buffet with endless services. However it has wonderful staff with great service in a beautifully decorated boutique environment that more than exceeded our expectations. I know what I prefer and we will be back because of this.Maison Polanka: "family trip"
We absolutely loved Maison Polanka, The atmosphere there is so peaceful and pampered without being ostentatious. The staff is kind, and attentive. We rented the entire hotel for our family. They helped us with everything including two day tour of the temples, shopping, onsite massage, dinners, lovely cocktail hours at the pool. One of the best places we have ever stayed. Everyone loved it from teenagers to grandparents. A true paradise.Muang La Lodge: "A real heaven to explore Laos North East unspoiled life"
Staying three nights in this Secrete Retreats lodge was a great experience as it is totally integrated in a peaceful village with four cultural groups. It is a great way to explore North East Laos interesting cultural life as the lodge team will set you daily programs according to your wishes from Pampering you within the resort itself with massage, foot therapy, manure, pedicure to excursions in the tribal villages with your private guide and four wheels drive vehicule or to next door farming community where you will experience rice planting with a buffalo or a lunch in a local house cooked according to your tastes with organic products. You can try as well if you are interested surprising local delicacies like grass hoppers or even palm worms. The rooms themselves are stunning in elevated building with a view on the local river. A lot of tropical wood will help you to relax. Wifi is available and AC will help you to chill. Delicious fresh juices or your favorite cocktail will be served to you in the reception area with a view on the river. A 5 dinner courses with local lao products is available in the evening. A small bridge will lead you to a private island with a lovely swimming pool. You can enjoy as well hot springs withing the property in two elevated towers in full privacy. The two French in charge persons (multilingual) will be your personal butlers to help you make the best from the experience including meditation, going to festivities at the nearby local buddhist temple or sharing another experience with amazingly gentle local inhabitants.Amata Lanna: "Excellent"
Great location, close to the night market and a quick tuk tuk ride to the old city. About a 25 min walk. Great service, clean room, large bedroom and bathroom made with teak wood. Would definitely stay here again!Tugu Malang: "ROYAL TREATMENT"
A bit late review to thank the owner and the whole staff for the most memorable event during our daughter wedding. All the guest are pampered and full attention.beautiful upgrade suite,cake,flowers,dinner..u name it.ibu Wedya.ibu Criss.p Bagoes.Tugu will be,always our favorite place where East meet West in harmony.Inle Princess Resort: "Prime Position"
A beautiful place in an idyllic setting. Spacious chalet with outside deck whetjr one has Lake View or Pond View (slightly less expensive. Excellent breakfast and very good dinner. Binoculars and bird book a very nice touch. No tv anywhere. Wi-fi not available in guest rooms, only in reeption and dining area (although we had good wiifi in our chalet number 102. Approach is by motor boat from town about 30 minutes away althogh last 500 yards is by leg rower so there is little noise disturbance. Consider your return to Heho airport by car all the way (omitting the 30-minute boat ride and loading and unloading luggage) which save about half an hour on the journey. The final touch -- it was my wife's birthday on the dy we left and sh had a sing and a cake from the staff at 0630 in th morning and a beautiful silk skirt as a present from the owner himself who seems sincere about greening Burma and providing social benefits to his employees and the local community.MesaStila: "Mid week getaway!"
I was expecting to be able to unwind when I got to MesaStila, what I did not expect was how quickly it happened. There is something magical and memorizing that happens from the moment you arrive. The entire resort is amazing. The staff just so gentle and warm. Even the food has healing and comforting elements. First day was spent just relaxing, getting to know the property. Our villa was spectacular and had all the mod cons we needed. Day 2 we experienced the Hammam Spa. Four months of stress disappeared after the 2 hour treatment- what an amazing facility this is. It rained for part of the time we were there which just added to the amazing experience. Reading in the clubhouse, watching the rain and mist. The resort takes you back in time but will all the modern conveniences. We also did the coffee tour, I love my coffee and now love it even more after listening to the delightful Lily explain how the coffee is grown, harvested, roasted and packaged. Thank you to all the staff of MesaStila for being so genuine! We will be back!
