Les Maisons Wat Kor: "Hidden oasis"

Review by: Steven P | Source: Trip Advisor
We have stayed at Maison Wat Kor for very short time with two couples for relaxing and escapre from the crowded world. Definitely this is a little oasis with a lush garden surrounded. The best part of the place - peaceful environment, quiet in the middle of village in Battambang. Our night for dinner was extremly delightful and also having the best talk with the owners during the dinner time too. The set dinner with red wine in the most beautiful enrionments in their little restaurants. Overall it is a very peaceful little Khmer house and definitely recommended.

Chakrabongse Villas: "Bangkok’s best kept secret hotel"

Review by: Tripp H | Source: tripadvisor.com
I only knew about this hotel due to the history of the Chakrabongse family, and therefore really wanted to stay there. Quite frankly it feels that you are staying in a private house in the epicentre of old Bangkok rather than a hotel. We stayed in the garden room, and even had friends over for dinner on the terrace for one of the nights. I wish I could afford to stay here every time I am in BKK, but think I will just have to settle for when I want to treat myself (and the wife !) to something special. absolutely brilliant place to stay.

Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "Breathtaking views & impeccable service"

Review by: stapcashmoneypower | Source: Trip Advisor
"Walking up the stairs, with Fishtail right in front of you is a great introduction to your stay. The service is exceptional, matched by the quality of the rooms and the views! We did a walk through the village, with out great guide, who was able to give us very interesting insights. An all round amazing experience, would highly recommend."

The River Resort: "Magical Mekong River views – with good food and a spa!"

Review by: Ann B | Source: Trip Advisor
"We stayed three nights at this lush and green, rather smart resort, arranged for us by Selective Asia. Our family villa room was upstairs, with a balcony and absolutely wonderful views over the Mekong. Great to watch the fishermen at sunrise from the balcony or from bed, with a cup of tea made in our room, or enjoy a drink from the minibar listening to the crickets as the sun set. A magical spot indeed. You’ll need your anti mosquito lotion for sitting out in this location, but the resort villa rooms have good nets and our room was realatively easy to keep mosquito free! We ate at the hotel open air restaurant every evening and found plenty to choose from, with a good range of western and Asian options. We enjoyed all our meals, and service was excellent. Breakfast was good too, but we would have liked some more bread options as well as the rather sweet slices there were to toast (e.g. brown?) - but maybe that’s not available at this slightly remote location. One of us had a massage at the spa, which was great and a lovely option to have right on site. Hotel provided us with a boat crossing to meet our guide at the opposite river bank, which was ideal and very prompt and comfortable. We also had laundry done, which was not expensive and very convenient. Sadly we didn’t get chance to use the free bikes. All in all a wonderful spot and a lovely exclusive hotel, and we loved having it as our base for exploring the Mekong River and the nearby Wat Phou UNESCO Site."

Golden Buddha Beach Resort: "Just… wow!"

Review by: LewisHunt82 | Source: tripadvisor.com
"Speechless. Following a 3 hour drive north from the airport and then getting onto a small boat at a dock in the middle of nowhere, you get ferried away from the mainland for an hour and a half. Making your way past small islands and following a remote coast of golden sand you arrive on the beach where you wade through the warm shallow clear water to get to the jeep. Being whisked off to a remote hut, there is just your hut which is about 50 mtrs away from the next. Peace. Quiet. Nature. Sand. Sun. Remoteness. 100 mtrs from the beach, the views are endless. Waking up, going to sleep, just the noise of birds, bugs, a dog in the distance, monkeys and waves crashing. (...)Taking a canoe down at the other end, it's possible to paddle out to another small island off shore. Or walk around to one of the other very tiny resorts. If you want nightlife, shopping, clubs, bars, socialising, fine food, luxury accommodation, cleanliness and an abundance of modern comforts - this is not for you. If you want adventure, solitude, being with nature, charming and quaint cabins, beach and being undisturbed then book straight away. I would love to go back."

Villa Mathis: "Knock out!"

Review by: Ross G | Source: tripadvisor.com
Fantastic service, pools and beautiful rooms. As close to Seminyak as you need to be while still enjoying eace and quiet. Incredible warm staff. The Villa has four pools which makes lounging very easy. This was a highlight of our honeymoon.

Manda De Laos: "Delicious"

Review by: Ermione19 | Source: Trip Advisor
"The restaurant is very beautiful and the food is delicious! The restaurant is developed around a natural steam with luxurious flora, palms and a lot of different varieties of trees that create an elegant and sophisticated atmosphere and is decorated with fine taste. The kitchen is Laotian with French/westerns influence. We have ordered le pate' Laotian, crunchy rice salad and banana flower salad as appetizers. Tanguy duck tamarind sauce, steamed chicken hormok style and buffalo steak as mains and choix banana as dessert. Every dish was delicious and I recommend all of them. The combination of many different flavors was fine and the result amazing. The portions were generous and the presentation impressive and studied in every small detail. The service was fast and very professional. Manda de Laos is a place not to be missed in Luang Prabang."

satrin house: "The Oasis in Luang Prabang"

Review by: Jeffrey B | Source: tripadvison.com
"This resort is very charming and colonial, tucked away from the main town area, with a very serene and quiet surrounding. The main town area is just some easy 5-8 min walk away, which gives this resort the best of both worlds - convenient yet peaceful. The service was excellent. We were personally greeted by Mr Lucky and Ms Navinda, both were very warm and hospitable. Breakfast was superb too, with very interesting choices and generous servings. Room make-up service was very prompt and frequent, and they would replace the used towels with clean ones each time they make up the room. There are 2 pools in the resort, with a lot of secret hidden corners for you to discover, and you can have the whole place to yourselves to relax. Before checkout, the hotel staff even packed the breakfast for us to eat before our flight. What a nice gesture! We would not hesitate to return and recommend this place to everyone visiting Luang Prabang. "

Sandat Glamping Tents: "Best service – they go the distance every time"

Review by: TiaraEffendi | Source: Trip Advisor
"I can't say enough for Pak Tengo, Pak Made and the team at Sandat Glamping. They went out of their way to make our stay the most memorable ever. We were here during the month of Ramadan and were observing the Muslim fast, and needed to have our breakfast before sunrise each morning, at 4am, each day of our stay. The chef and wait staff stayed overnight everyday just to be able to prepare our meals for us, which was really very kind of them. They would go out of their way to organise anything at any time, for their guests - we had a massage for all 4 of us set up in the comfort of our rooms, with portable air conditioning upon request as well. I love the views of the vast paddy fields around Sandat, and waking up to the crowing of a cockerel, which just takes you to such a happy peaceful place, far from the madness of Monkey Forest Road and all the other more ""touristy"" parts of Ubud. Emanuela and Federico have done a super job setting up this ""Glamp"" so tastefully, from the unique bamboo structures and the trendy decor throughout the resort (I especially LOVE the ultra long table and wall of mirrors at the restaurant), and they have assembled a team of front office, housekeeping and kitchen staff well worthy of winning many, many more awards. If you've never experienced glamping, you should give it a go here, at least once in your lifetime. It's well worth the trek."
