Rachamankha: "A Jewel of Tranquility"
What a lovely architectural masterpiece, making a simple but classy and tranquil base during our visit to Chiang Mai. Beatiful rooms, lovely swimming pool, fabulous event dining room and bar. The buildings and the grounds combine together to give charming and interesting views of well considered artifacts and decoration. Teak doors and furniture within plain white walls. Ceiling fans in open areas and AC in the lovely rooms. Great en-suite.Cabochon Hotel & Residence: "Holiday"
The Cabochon is quiet and peaceful reminiscent of a colonial era with all the trimmings of a boutique residence. The location offers great access to the city's delights including retail and food outlets. The rooms are light, airy and spacious with crisp white bedding. The pool area is sedate and relaxing. The restaurant serves a wonderful array of Thai delights from all regions of this wonderful land. The bar area is busy with eclectic wonders but also soothing and tasteful. The staff are smart, attentive and most helpful. I would recommend this to any discerning traveller. I most certainly will be returning.Villa Song Saigon: "No. 1 Hotel … deservedly so"
We stayed at the Villa Song Hotel for our first night in Vietnam and for our last 3 nights and we have nothing but good things to say. All the staff are extremely helpful and friendly, the food is excellent (including the breakfast which is served all day), the hotel is in a perfect position by the river - so quiet and peaceful after visiting HCM. and the free boat shuttle service is a wonderful way to visit the city. The hotel deserves all the good reviews it receives and hopefully will be no.1 for many more years.David’s Kitchen: "Absolutely amazing!"
The food was beyond exceptional, but it was the service that was over the top. This is an upscale restaurant that could easily compete with the best of the best and it is the staff that make your experience completely unique. From the person who greets you at the door, to the person who literally walked us right out to our car, everyone went above and beyond to make our night incredibly special. This is the only restaurant that I have ever visited where my husband and I were treated like royalty, but without the pretentious, stuffy feeling that you get when you are at most fine dining establishments. I'm not quite sure how David and Prom create this atmosphere, but this is what will keep people coming back. Thank you to everyone at David's Kitchen for a night we will never forget.
Stayed January 2017, traveled as a couple"MesaStila: "Java at its best"
"MesaStila is one of those places that blows you away. So many things about our trip far exceeded our expectations. The food was awesome. The rooms are beautiful. A highlight was the Easter Egg painting hunt that the staff ran for our two little boys. Yokyo (maybe not correct spelling) was sweet and made sure our little ones felt special. Thank you. We hope to be back. "Maduzi Hotel: "Lovely boutique hotel with great service"
"This is the second time we have stayed here and we are glad we returned. The Maduzi is a a lovely hotel it is set back off the busy street in a great location near the MRT and BTS. Rooms are nice, very comfortable, we love the over size bed in the deluxe room, the overflowing spa bath is a great way to relax after a busy day on your feet. There is a pod coffee machine in the room, long with a stocked mini bar. The service from the staff is always good from check in to the check out, nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast is good with a nice variety, I also like that you can ask for a coffee and it will be promptly made whenever you ask."4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Serenity at its best!"
I stayed at 4 Rivers for 3D/2N and it was really an extraordinary experience! Going to 4 Rivers was a long drive yet it was worth it! During our night time check in, my partner and I were able to see the adorable fireflies! They are so plenty that they look like Christmas lights! They are stunning and shines like a star. Though it is raining during my stay, it was a wonderful time to relax and leave the stress and get refreshed with the outstanding view of mountains and trees plus the friendly staff and Adonis who’s very attentive with our needs. I also want to give cheers to the Chef for the most unforgettable Crème Caramel I tasted during dinner! How I wish I could eat and bring home the whole piece! It is so delicious that I can’t resist to eat! Memorable experience, soothing ambiance, charming staff and thoughtful managers, appetizing food – perfecto!Kinabalu Park: "Some tips for noobs (like me)!"
"Do not rush it. Take some time to enjoy the places in ranau and kundasang as well. We stayed at LODGE 37 for 2 days and its still not enough. Lodge 37 is located at ranau in between kinabalu park and ranau hot spring. Theres few trails inside the foot of mt kinabalu itself (dont need any ticket), so if u guys are up for it spend one whole day there. (Wont still be enough) For RANAU HOT SPRING, spend a day there as well. Theres more to it then just the hot spring, If u continue walking, u'll come across - 1) CANOPY WALK (few metres away) 2) KIPUNGIT waterfall (700m away) 3) BAT cave 4) and another waterfall (3km away) If u plan to go both ranau and foot of mt kinabalu on the same day, keep ur ticket with you. U wont have to pay for entrance of the latter if u show them ur tickets. On the last day, otw back to KK, Go for KIULU WATER RAFTING. Worth it for first timer. Maybe not so much for advanced rafters. And later, hav a lunch at SULAMAN. Where u can get fresh 'lokan' (shells), fried food (rice), and some coconut pudding for ur empty stomach. Then head back to KK. Sunset viewing at KOKOL HILL can be done either otw to ranau, or otw back from ranau. Choose which suits u best. We did it otw to ranau. Hope this helps. Even with few days research i didnt really get to know these facts, only when we are there and try it ourselves that we found out abt all this. Last but not least, just enjoy urselves! Stop worrying abt the time that u cant regain. Live the life, travelers! InsyaAllah."Villa Mathis: "Fantastic stay in a little piece of paradise"
"Stayed in La Villa Mathis for three days and enjoyed every bit of it. Me and my travel companion tremendously enjoyed the quiet ambience of the villa and the villa manager Christian was extremely helpful and attentive to our needs. The villas have several swimming pools secluded from one to another and we felt like it is reserved specially for us! What a treat! The villa is located quite near with Seminyak strip and the villa staffs will assist you in arranging the transportation. The room was designed in a very thoughtful details and we felt like we can really switch off and rejuvenate in this place. Overall it is an absolutely amazing stay and we definitely will come back to Villa Mathis!"Travel Asia with Secret Retreats
