David’s Kitchen: "Best dining experience in Chiang Mai"

This restaurant is a must if you are in Chiang Mai. The food, service and overall experience were exceptional. David greeted us upon arrival to the restaurant and continued to check in on us throughout the meal. He and his staff made us feel like royalty. The food was second to none. Highlights included the pumpkin soup and wagyu beef cheek. We walked away with full stomachs and fuller smiles. We can't wait to come back next time.

Tandjung Sari: "Luxurious"

Unfortunately we only had one night here...it was so beautiful and authentic, the staff so friendly, perfect location and our room was a true haven of indulgence. The dancers, at the dinner show, were the best we saw and were truly amazing. Buffet dinner was good too.

Chakrabongse Villas: "Beautiful stay! Highly recommend"

My friend and I stayed here for a few nights at the beginning of March. The villas are absolutely stunning with a beautiful pool and lovely dining area on the river. All the staff are polite, friendly and super helpful. Mr Ohm and Ms Atom were always there when we needed them, we especially appreciated the late check in and taxi from the airport organised for us. Room was gorgeous and very clean too! The hotel is right in the heart of old BKK so you can escape the hustle and bustle whilst also being able to see all the temples on your doorstep. This place is a hidden gem, highly recommend for anyone wanting a chilled space in BKK or for couples wanting a romantic getaway!

Dewakan: "Great experience!"

"Just checked their website and they seemed to have changed their menu! Seems like what I had was a mixture of their old menu and the new one. Snacks (Choy Sum Nori, Beef Tendons, Mango Curry, Yoghurt and Roselle): Choy Sum Nori was quite cool and memorable! The others were ... interesting? Could be too weird for some. Starters (Blue Mackerel, Roast Mushrooms, Grilled Vegetables, Home Made Noodles): Quite liked the roast mushrooms. Was told to eat from right to left, but perhaps plating it from left to right would be make more sense since most people hold their forks on the left and knives on the right? Just a suggestion! The noodles weren't that great, however. Mains (Pike Conger, Duck, Quail): The highlight of the night! I really loved each of the 3 main dishes, but sadly two of them don't seem to be on the new menu anymore. Probably one of the most memorable dishes I've had. Desserts (Mulberries, Gula Melaka, Chocolate Tart, Popsicles): The 3 desserts from the menu were great. At the end they gave us 3 additional popsicles even though we were absolutely stuffed by then. Really didn't like the weird popsicle flavours, but to each their own perhaps? Can't imagine it would be popular since none of us liked the popsicles. Service was great, however some were a little too soft-spoken when it came to explaining the dishes. Not sure if having descriptions left on the table would be too tacky but I would love to have something to refer to while eating."

Maison Polanka: "On point design boutique"

Charming boutique hotel with fantastic design and grounds. Well located and helpful staff. The restaurant itself was a bit mediocre, but the setting was so special that it didn't matter. The spa was also quite enjoyable. Given the price compared to some of the other design hotels in the area, I would definitely choose Maison Polanka again.

The Cabochon Hotel: "Intimate and tranquil boutique hotel in perfect location"

"We loved the Cabochon hotel and it's warm and friendly staff. The hotel has only eight rooms and suites in a superbly decorated French colonnial style inspired building. Wooden doors, door handles, light switches, quirky collectors items, they all are perfectly curated to add to the colonial feel. Apperently the building itself is a new structure which I only found out by realising there's no way an older wooden building would be able to carry a huge swimmingpool like the luxurious rooftoppool of the Cabocho I read another reviewer mentioning the pool as a small one. I do not know in what hotels some people might stay but the Cabochon pool is in my opinion huge! It covers the entire roof of the hotel (20-25m pool?), and is perfectly fine to do some fine swimming exercises. Another great detail which I loved is that there is no reception desk like in a regular hotel, just a tiny 'office'. From the frontdoor you step into the hallway immediately which leads to the central staircase. This also adds to the homely feel of the Cabochon. Check in is in the lounge area/Joy luck club where also breakfast is being served. You can also have your breakfast on the veranda which is great. The staff we loved. They immediately made us feel at home, spoke english well and were really helpful. Furthermore the location can't be better, at the end of a short quiet soi (alley) that leads directly to Sukhumvit Road with two skytrain stations within a five minute walk. Yes, the regular rooms are not that big but for us it just did add to the intimate feel of our stay here. It felt very special our three nights over at the Cabochon, highly recommended."

Talabgaon Castle Heritage Resort: "TALABGAON CASTLE AMAZING"

WOW. What an amazing place. Whilst we did not stay overnight, we spent a day. Our guide, Annpurna , was the most wonderful host, friendly, informative, inventive, colourful - simply the best. We were fortunate to spend time with her in her home in Jaipur and her family home, Talabgaon Castle. We made a new friend! Annpurna made sure we made the most of our day when we had the opportunity to visit her family home and village and meet and spend time with her beautiful family. The staff at Talabgaon Castle will ensure your visit or stay is perfect. The hospitality and friendliness is a treat in itself. We were invited for a complete tour of the resort rooms, hotels and facilities and they are world class. Arriving on the very colourful Camel Cart as we pass through the local village, the people are so friendly and the children just love it when visitors arrive at the Castle. Red Carpet entrance with welcome drinks and flowers. After a tour of the Castle and the grounds we enjoyed a very welcome lunch at the resort ,- the food was amazing and the service was simply the best, and then we were whisked off to be dressed and travel to town. We are now in local colourful attire and are taken to another nearby village - this experience is amazing. As we walked and talked with the local women and children. Enjoying the most amazing colourful markets and the most amazing display of fresh food that you will ever see. A few hours goes very fast and every minute is fabulous. Everyone is so friendly, they are loving the Western Visitors whom they do no see very often. If the world could be this friendly , fresh and colourful we would all be happy every day. A day or a few days spent at the Resort and the local village is time you will never forget. Simply Majestic. Thank you for sharing your day and your family with us. Cuca: "Wow adventure"

It's a really amazing restaurant set up with open kitchen. All the chef is working in a very systemic way and you cannot imagine how clean the kitchen is.The service is excellent and the food is very outstanding. You vision,taste and smell has been all taken care. The food is tasty and placed like a artwork. We have tried the chef tasting meal which you can experience 9 different course. Every dishes was impressed and the chef will explain the dish to you one by one. The main chef Kevin will even approach and talk to you personally about the experience. It's a must visit restaurant in Bali.

Villa Song Saigon: "A luxurious and peaceful escape from the bustle of the city"

"Our first two nights in Vietnam were spent at Villa Song. This was the most idyllic way to kickstart our holiday. The location beside the river is specatular. We had the suite on the top floor with the little parlour. Our two girls slept in the parlour which worked perfectly - leaving us in the four poster bed. This is a very romantic, charming hotel - the furnishings and fittings are beautiful. But the key for us was that it is away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The first day we were collected by tour company Les Rives to take us by boat to the Chi Chi Tunnels – this was perfect because they could simply collect us and drop us back at the hotel’s private pier. The restaurant is fabulous – a beautiful al fresco location for dinner and breakfast. "

4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Escape to this floating paradise"

"First the location on the wide rivers is simply to dream about. You can swim from your luxury tent or watch the boats the birds or the sky. The lodge is staffed by gentle people who attend to every wish. The food is delicious. I would put it high on the list of adventures in Cambodia. Loved the sunset cruise and waterfall excursion. Room Tip: All the tents look straight over the river"
