Sanak Retreat Bali: "Gorgeous resort to relax"
"We stayed end of April in a 2 bedroom villa with our two teenagers. Arrived by own rental car, and found it very easy to find the accommodation, we used the off line google maps on our mobile, and there were some good signs along the way too. Got a warm welcome in the restaurant, with good explanation and a tour around our villa, which was great. The two rooms bungalows all have incredible views to the pool, rice fields and valley. We had two balconies and a verandah, it was so peaceful to sit there and enjoy the jungle concert and view the gorgeous sunsets. The pool was clean, fresh (but not too cold) and spacious, with enough sunbeds and umbrellas. We also loved the funny Indonesian food car, from which you could take the pooltowels. Several times a week the local dance group came there to practice, we loved watching the beautiful girls. With our own car we visited the Buddhist monastery, which was only 25 minutes away. Great serene place! Also did the guided trekking with Berly, which was a very sweet and knowledgable young man. The trip included a swim in the natural spring, which was very refreshing. Our villa had so much nice decorations, and blinds to keep the sun out of the room. It has 2 fans inside, and also a fan on every balcony/verandah. There was no A/C/ but it was no problem at all, this was the coolest house of all our accommodations. This is a place for fully relaxation! Love the views so much, despite there can be some fog in Munduk area, the sight here was always clear. We had some rainshowers in the afternoon, but the mornings were very clear, blue sky and warm. Only two remarks: we found the food in the restaurant too expensive for what we got, compared to our other meals on Bali (but we had our own transport, so we went to Munduk many times) and maybe the ""say goodbye"" could have been as warm as the welcome (?), like in all other places we stay on Bali. But we recommend this place to everyone, it was really a pleasure to stay here, a wonderful memory."Talabgaon Castle Heritage Resort: "Quiet Getaway"
"What and amazing experence I had here. This is by far the best hotel I've stayed in while traveling through india. It was so great I extended my stay! it was such a different experence out in the countryside, peacefull and very beautiful away from the hecticness of the city - I had the opertunity to be taken through the small surrounding village and meet some of the local people. I was even invited into someone's house for some chi (tea) and to see how the locals lived experiencing an aspect of India the larger hotels just don't offer. Also, as Talabgoan is the home of the owners polo team, there are a bunch of fantastic horses - I don't ride but for someone who does it's a terrific destination. The hotel itself is a combination of the old family castle that has been converted into a modern boutique hotel designed to match the highest Europen standards. Amazing food, fantastic pool and a great bar - an oasis in a traditional Indian lanscape - A must visit!"Tugu Bali: "The Art, Soul and Romance of Indonesia"
"What really puts this hotel into my ‘most memorable’ category is its ability to deliver an authentic Indonesian experience, steeped in traditional culture whilst maintaining the highest degree of luxury. Nowadays that’s something that most modern hotels on the beautiful island of Bali lack. Hotel Tugu’s calming surroundings provide an incredibly peaceful atmosphere. The building itself and the expansive yet intimate grounds naturally emanate a purposeful sense of romance. It was here I found a somewhat tangible soulful experience. An experience I didn’t know I was truly seeking until I was immersed in it and one that will stay with me long since my return. Hotel Tugu claims to be the Art, Soul and Romance of Indonesia and I for one wholeheartedly agree. The Walter Spies suite was my favourite, an art deco inspired room merged with Balinese themes, complete with plunge pool and private garden. Very private. Worth noting JI at Bale' Sutra 1706' is the onsite restaurant & bar. The contemporary Japanese/Chinese fusion cuisine is a commendable example of fine dining in a casual and yet classy atmosphere. It also hosts a rooftop bar with ocean views and specialized sake bar. There is an extensive choice of fine wine available (usually so hard to find in south-east Asia) and the cocktails are next level goodness."Inle Heritage Stilt Houses: "Impressive, not only with the hotel but also what it stands for."
I believe the facilities and service is already spoken for, but what is really exceptional is the values with which it has been built. All the waste from the toilet is filtered by plants and then released into Lake Inle which it is built on. I had the privilege to see the site where food waste is being processed to make compost for the plants in the gardens, which happen to be the source of ingredients for the hotel restaurant. From my observation, the staff are treated very well and deeply respect the founder of the Inle Heritage Foundation, whose motto is people over passion, over profit. Although I mentioned that the services have already been recommended enough, the restaurant deserves a mention. I hate bread and I had the first piece of bread I like at Inle Heritage. The Island Lodge: "Very recommended place"
I didn’t stay here, I only visit friend whom was staying there. This place a hidden gem, very quiet and peaceful. I really impressed when the owner also greet the their customers and visitors, the staff also very friendly. I tried their croissant, the taste just so lovely. Maybe sometime I would love to come back and stay there with friends for a night.Yandabo Home: "Paradise on Irrawady"
Villa Mathis: "Chris and the Staff is the reason to stay here"
"We stayed over new years, my wife, our two young kids, and myself. The villa was very nice and clean. The pool and grounds were great. Food is nice. But the main reason this trip out of many to Bali was great, was because of Chris and his staff. They went so far and beyond what is normal. We had so much going on at the time, and we asked and leveraged Chris for so much more than we normally do. He was great, patient and very accommodating. We can't say enough nice things about him and his team. Thanks guys!!!"The Hue House: "Magnifique endroit pour passer excellent repas en famille"

Wonderful resort with picturesque view...away from city noise and busy life, you enjoy beauty of nature. On the shore of Arabian Sea the resort is very peaceful... spacious rooms with open courtyard bathroom , overlooking sea what else one can ask for. Cordial, friendly and efficient staff ... always smiling and ready to serve you . Variety of food not much but what they give you is all fresh, healthy and tasty. They have infinity pool almost connected with beach. Lot of greenery and different variety of flowers keep you happy. Onam festival was near so they did amazing flower decoration. If someone wants calm holiday then this is the perfect choice.Maisons Wat Kor: "Gorgeous place to relax and have great food"
Gorgeous place, with tastefully decorated traditional Khmer houses around a pond filled with waterlillies. Excellent food, cosy chillout corners and a saltwater pool. The place is run by a wonderfully friendly and knowledgeable Cambodian couple. It is a 10 minute tuktuk ride from the town center, or a pleasant walk.
