Cuca: "Favourite restaurant"
We went to Cuca on our last night in Jimbaran, saving the best for last! Such a beautiful setting and the staff are lovely. The meal is tapas style, beautifully presented and delicious. Everyone should experience Cuca at least onceInle Princess Resort: "Beautiful and quiet lake site resort"
"We arrived at the resort by boat from Nyaung Shwe. Some 100 m from the hotel, motors are no longer allowed. A rower came on board and leg-paddled us to the jetty. This exemplifies the resort's emphasis on quiet and relaxation. Our cottages were on the lake. From the terrace, the sunsets were beautiful. Our room had binoculars provided for bird watching. A spa with a massage menu, bicycle rentals, and a swimming pool rounded out the offerings. Breakfast and dinner on a sundeck were tasty and included a sampling of local and Shan cuisine. I highly recommend the resort. Room Tip: Lakeside cottages were private and delightful."Tugu Malang: "Classic and Traditional"
"What should I say about my amazing stay in Hotel Tugu Malang? The room was excellent. They even provided us with FREE high tea between 4-6PM and they served very very good Indonesian traditional cakes and desserts. They also gave us 10 minutes complimentary shoulder massage. This hotel is like a monument. They gave us a free tour of the hotel and so we can see different rooms offered. Unfortunately, we stayed only for a night. Definitely recommend this hotel if you go to Malang!! This is the best place to stay."Sanak Retreat Bali: "Unique, peaceful and beautiful"
"Sanak is an oasis of peace, off the beaten track, between rice fields, with cooler temperatures than the rest of Bali but actually perfect and hot just a bit less humid and not boiling hot. The view over rice fields is amazing, we stayed in a bungalow - very comfortable and stylish. Good food, organic, catering for people with any special diet. No plastic or coca-cola, I loved it, lots of fresh herbal teas, great for people who are environmentally conscious, like nature and want to stay away from the crowds. Amazing massage, the best we had in Bali, especially the milder version of the Balinese massage was great. I recommend also a walk to the waterfalls, although the local guide was fussing over me as if I was to fall down from each bigger stone :) It was worth a little walk and there were no one else there. It was still raining at the time we were there (end of raining season) but mornings were sunny and good for activities. It looks beautiful in any weather here. Sanak supports preserving the local area and gives work to people in the village, I just love what they stand for. This is the best combination I have seen of eco-tourism and luxury. We will come back."David’s Kitchen: "Must try in Chiang Mai"
Davids Kitchen is located 15 mins drive from the old town, but it definitely worth a visit if you are in Chiang Mai and for special occasion. You would be amazed by the garden when you first arrive. The food is fantastic and staffs would give you great recommendation if you are not sure what to order. David was also in the restaurant and making sure every guest is enjoying the dinner. We also got a little sweet surprise at the end of the dinner. Would definitely come again.Manda De Laos: "Romantic VD dinner"
Our hotel arranged the booking and they put us in the most romantic solo table in the middle of the pond with a lit umbrella above. We had the tasting platter for 2. Food was absolutely amazing, especially the stir fried buffalo and the fish salad. The chicken stew was the real deal as it had pieces sakarn wood in it which sneaks up on you like szechaun peppercorns. Everything came beautifully presented, unfortunately it was too dark to take a decent pix with my ipad. Can't think of a more romantic place in LPQ to spend VD. The resto manager attended to us himself the whole time. The River Resort: "Asian paradise"
"Exquisitely decorated with comfy beds, spacious bathroom with indoor and outdoor shower Full range of toiletries ,floor to ceiling windows over Mekong Two large pools with excellent restaurant all with great views Eco concious"Golden Buddha Beach Resort: "Easter holida"
Our stay at the Golden Buddha Resort was magnificent, truly magical. We knew getting there was going to be a bit of a trek, but it was really worth it. The location by the sea is great, the beach was vast and empty, each tree-house beautifully furnished and our son liked it too (the pool table, the pizzas at the beach-bar and wifi at the clubhouse especially) It's a place to enjoy nature, where you can reflect, breathe and simply live. With a few added bits of luxury the resort had the perfect balance for us. We stayed at Baan Marina which was beautiful, spent most of our days at the resort (close to the beach bar) and the club house in the evening, playing pool, cards or reading after food. The staff were ever so friendly, Massi and Pena were the perfect hosts. If we would recommend anything, it would be good to offer a few alternative dishes in the evening for kids although saying that we thought the chef was really excellent. Breakfast was a treat too! Thanks to everyone at Golden Buddha for the lovely memories, we loved it!Villa Song Saigon: "Perfection"
"This hotel is wonderful. You may hesitate to stay somewhere a bit outside of the main HCMC hustle and bustle, but once you're here you won't regret the decision. I didn't care much for HCMC, so after a few hours down there, it was nice to escape across the river (like fleeing back to the CT suburbs after an afternoon in NYC). Breakfast is fabulous and served to you riverside - full menu of choices. There are pretty regular boat shuttles into HCMC but if you don't want to wait for one or miss one, a cab ride is like $7 USD (which, if you can afford to stay here...shouldn't really be an issue). Beds are comfortable. Turndown service included yummy pastry - cream puffs, madeleines. Because it's a small hotel, the pool is quiet and never crowded. They also exchange cash at spot! Would return. Stayed March 2017, traveled with friends"Heritage Suites Hotel: "Gorgeous hotel"
We had a great stay at the Heritage. Our room (which was upgraded) was really spacious open plan with a huge bed and bath. It was really peaceful and a nice retreat after busy day visiting temples. The staff were helpful and polite. The pool was nice a cool and great sun loungers to relax on. Only downside was the hotel did not have everything from the menu. Highly recommend this hotel to others and would stay here again when next in Siem Reap.Travel Asia with Secret Retreats
