Away from the crowds and the (too) busy Ao Nang, small hotel where you feel like home. The owners, staff .. everyone is adorable. We stayed here as part of our Les Rives two day Mekong Delta tour and couldn't have been happier. It was on an island in the middle of the Mekong and the setting was wonderful and relaxing. We were met by Michel, the owner, and his wife and were informed we were the only guests that night, which meant the staff were all ours! We relaxed by the pool and had a wonderful dinner in the restaurant, with a very affordable bottle of French wine. Our room had a wonderful view of the Mekong and was fitted out with quality fittings, including a lovely four poster. The whole hotel is full of hand picked vintage items from the region and this adds to it's charm. All in all a great stay but be warned one night won't be enough in this beautiful resort. Hi! This review is for the restaurant only as we didn't stay in the hotel. We had lunch @ the Rachamankha restaurant and it was the best meal that we had in the 3 days we stayed in Chiang Mai! The best khao soi we had during our visit to Chiang Mai! Also to be noted, the service is 5 star from beginning to end!Cuca: "Worth the hype. Great lunch – next time dinner"
"We went here after getting a recommendation from someone staying at our hotel in Nusa Dua. We went for lunch and it was. Wet quiet on the midweek day that we went. I think the place would be buzzing for dinner. We sat inside in the Air-conditioning and we were served by great staff who explore menu very well and gave recommendations on how to get the best out of our experience. Drinks and cocktails were awesome and the food was perfect. My 8 year old was well catered for and we had ample food, cocktails and a couple of beers, kids meal which came to about $130. I only stayed 1 night this time around but I really wanted to go back as I was in the area again. Once you enter the gate, you are in a secluded area, although the main road is just behind. The peacefulness that emanates from the grounds forces you to switch off. Not much to do at the property but that's the whole point: listen to nature around you, watch the life on the Mekong and just relax!!Supanniga Eating Room: "Delicious lunch in a fabulous setting"

Built in the style of an colonial residence, beautifully laid out, lovely rooms, super-helpful service - loved it. Lovely pool to hang out by. Restaurant was superb (and not too expensive). We have just returned from our trip to Kerala and Mumbai and have to say that this was one of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed in. Our room was delightful, simple but to a very high standard with perfect attention to detail - sitting on our cottage verandah looking out onto the sea was amazing and very tranquil and relaxing - the cottages are designed so that we had privacy and never felt overlooked. The outdoor bathroom was luxurious and simple. Staying at this hotel was the most wonderful experience ever and I can't wait to return. The Hermitage has a peacful ambience - it is eco tourism at its finest - I particularly loved the fact there were no plastic bottles to be found on the resort! The food was superb, the swimming pool out of this world - and the staff were lovely and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Wow! What a nice surprise. This was my first river cruise in Bangkok, and I never really expected a Thai gourmet dinner. The food was very good and beautifully presented. There was: Taittinger champagne and an Amuse Bouche of fried Thai mackerel wrapped with Chaplu leaves, an Appetizer of 3 minced pork stir-fried with garlic and peanuts, pomelo salad with grilled prawn and spicy minced chicken salad, a Soup- Thai spicy soup with jumbo prawn, then 5 main dishes- pork, crab, fish and "Son-in-law" eggs, Dessert- mango sticky rice (the mango had been shaped into a flower) and to finish Petit Fours and Tea.
