Locavore: "Stunning food"
Fantastic experience. The degustation was superb, pairing with the cocktails even better. I decided to have some wine with the degustation. Must book in advanced as they are very popular.satrin house: "Beautiful hotel, Great service"
"We've stayed in a suite room for 4 nights here, and this was the main reason for our happy trip in Luangprabang. Everything is great here, great room, great service, great breakfast. It's a good place to chill and let time stop. The only minor draw back is the hotel quite far to walk from walking street (2-3km) even though hotel has a free bicycle for guests to use. I've tried once and found that cars in Luangprabang driving rather hectic (ps. I'm not a good cycling person either). The better choice is to take tuk tuk which was cost 20,000 KIP (sometimes driver called for 30,000 KIP) for one way. "Maduzi Hotel: "Boutique elegance off Sukhumvit"
The hotel is small, at just 40 rooms and is situated on a triangular corner site beside Soi 16, hence the unusual layout of some rooms. It is packed with interesting objets d'art. When I arrived, I was upgraded to a corner suite, which was just delightful. The bed was an enormous California king, I had a big desk and chair, armchair, breakfast table and 2 chairs, plus a huge ensuite with shower and jacuzzi bath. The toilet was separate and there was even a luggage room on its own. All decorated with understated stylish panache. Also in the room was an espresso maker, CD player and a free minibar of soft drinks and some snacks. Breakfast was served in the downstairs restaurant. While individual dishes were interesting, with a European influence, I must say I was disappointed by the portion size. I would have preferred a buffet, but maybe that is not an economic option in a hotel that size. It is 5 minutes easy walk to Asok station on the BTS. Staff service was friendly and individualistic. Would definitely like to revisit.Tugu Malang: "Quite charming and well worth a visit"
This is a lovely little bijou hotel, filled with Indonesian and Chinese antiques and art, conveniently situated right in the heart of the old town facing a pleasant open square. The architecture, like the rest of the hotel, is slightly idiosyncratic and charmingly individual, which differentiates it from the usual run-of-the-mill ‘international’ hotels. The staff in reception, housekeeping and the restaurant are exceptionally efficient and helpful in a relaxed, friendly way. The restaurant has a wide selection of cuisine – Indonesian, Chinese and international – which often spells trouble, because it is difficult to keep such a range of ingredients fresh. However everything we ate in a week-long stay was fresh, delicious and cooked to a every high standard. If you visit Malang, I would definitely recommend this as a most enjoyable place to stay.Rice & Zen Boutique Resort: "I loved it"
Beautiful place, peaceful environment, lovely people, spacious villa, very comfortable bed, perfectly clean, good food, free scooter to visit,... I do not have enough compliments. Thanks a lot Maya and Michael, we wish to come back.Bali Jiwa Villa: "Heaven on earth"
We have been in Bali Jiwa Villa for 12 days and it was gorgeous. We enjoyed every minute, hearing the concert of frogs (one even lived just up the door to the villa and went for a walk every evening - we loved watching it), the wind in the ricefield and the singing from a distant temple, seeing the morning sun and the stars, smelling the frangipani-flowers... The staff is extremly helpful, friendly and competent, and it was a pleasure being cared for by them. The villas are tastefully furnished, and the outdoor-bathrooms really beautiful. Breakfast and dinner were very good and served in your private villa, which was pure luxury. Going to Ubud took a 30 minutes drive, with very friendly drivers, so it was no problem at all. Bali Jiwa Villa is an extra-class-hideaway, and we definitly will come again.Babe: "Great as always"
A superbe culinary experience always surprising and of high class. This is our second visit and we will be back. The chocolate truffles are amazing.Maduzi Hotel: "Favorite hotel in Bangkok"
What surprised me about this hotel was how spacious the rooms are, especially compared to others in the area. It was also conveniently located not far from the BTS station. But far and away what set it apart from other hotels was the customer service. Highly recommend!Locavore: "The best restaurant in Indonesia"
After 7 years living in Indonesia I would say that this is probably the world's best restaurant of Indonesian cuisine and Indonesia's best restaurant. Aspirational, creative, sophisticated, surprising ... and truly local. This is not a copy of something else.Discover Muang La | Visit Laos | Luxury & Boutique Hotel: "Requires a Sixth Star"
We spent two nights at Muang La Lodge last week and wish we had stayed two more nights. We have traveled to over 40 countries and I can't recall a better hotel experience. From our greeting by the Assistant Manger, to the beautiful room, to the hot tubs and massage, to the gourmet 5 course dinners and the fascinating day trips and activities, you can't ask for more. Add to that an incredibly beautiful and peaceful location. It isn't the easiest hotel to get to, but make the effort. It's worth it.
