Villa Song Saigon: "Superb Hotel"

Review by: Thady V | Source: Trip Advisor
"We spent a couple of nights here at the end of our trip and it really was excellent. The staff were first class and extremely helpful at all times. The free boat rides into central Saigon are really useful and allow you to explore the sites. Rooms are really well designed and very comfortable. Pool is lovely. Food was good but on the expensive side but all the restaurants in the area are quite dear as the hotel is in the expat area of town. Would highly recommend it though"

The Governor’s House: "Colonial Beauty"

"This stunning place is full of Art with a personal touch of all the staff. Especially the Reception guy in the morning (sorry i forgot his name) was of great help. Also chant at the bar was always taking care of us with great attention. The Food was outstanding just try the chocolate fondant. Can't wait to return when the outdoor restaurant will open. Great choice can't go wrong here..."

Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "A haven outside Pokhara"

Review by: 192Lynne192 | Source: Trip Advisor
Have stayed in TIger Mountain Pokhara Lodge a couple of times and it will be returned to. It is situated in a high position on the top of a hill affording the most wonderful views of the Annapurna range. The lodge is a place of calm, has beautifully designed rooms, a pool in a stunning setting where you can swim facing the Himalayas and the food provided is consistently the best I have had in the area. Various activities are available or you can read by the wonderful pool.

Inle Princess Resort: "Prime Position"

Review by: trevorbart | Source: Trip Advisor
A beautiful place in an idyllic setting. Spacious chalet with outside deck whetjr one has Lake View or Pond View (slightly less expensive. Excellent breakfast and very good dinner. Binoculars and bird book a very nice touch. No tv anywhere. Wi-fi not available in guest rooms, only in reeption and dining area (although we had good wiifi in our chalet number 102. Approach is by motor boat from town about 30 minutes away althogh last 500 yards is by leg rower so there is little noise disturbance. Consider your return to Heho airport by car all the way (omitting the 30-minute boat ride and loading and unloading luggage) which save about half an hour on the journey. The final touch -- it was my wife's birthday on the dy we left and sh had a sing and a cake from the staff at 0630 in th morning and a beautiful silk skirt as a present from the owner himself who seems sincere about greening Burma and providing social benefits to his employees and the local community.

Sea Dance Resort: "Unforgetable Holiday"

Review by: Natcha D | Source: Trip Advisor
"I have to say that Sea Dance is one of the best hotel resorts I have been to! I enjoyed every moment I was there with their warm hospitality from Poy, Faith, Helen and the rest of the team! For those who love to have your privacy in terms of the beach itself, I would recommend the Sea Dance Resort! Trust me, you would never forget about it. Moreover, I was impressed by the Thai staff, Khun Pa, from the Sea Bass restaurant as l left my reading glasses behind and went to search for them but couldn't find them. She then followed up my request promptly and brought them back for me at the villa. Another lady was Khun Toy, the head chef, who always attended my spacial meal's requests and made sure that I would satisfy with those meals throughout my stay. How lucky The Sea Dance to have the thoughtful & caring staff like them. Last but not least, my favourite part was the live music which was performed by Gustavo and his friend, Niko! What a memorable experience ever! Keep up your wonderful work, Poy and your team! I'll be back again soon. Thank you very much for your uniqueness and professional service!"

Rachamankha: "Charming hotel"

Review by: beilene1 | Source: tripadvisor.com
Rachamankha is a charming hotel with a friendly knowledgable staff and excellent service. The ensuite rooms are well appointed with lovely antiques, are air conditioned and the bathrooms have plenty of hot water. There is also an excellent restaurant that serves Thai and western fare. The hotel has a great pool which is wonderful after a hot day of sightseeing. The hotel is also an easy walk to the Sunday night market. If you are coming to Chiangmai I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel.

Villa Song: "What a Haven – Just Gets Better and Better"

Review by: Vanessa V | Source: Trip Advisor
We returned to this hotel after almost three years and we were happy to find things just as we left them! The hotel continues to be a haven in a very busy city and District 2 is the perfect base. Highlights were the peaceful and delicious breakfasts on the river bank ( special shout out to Duy!) , the stunning swimming pool and stylish rooms in that beautiful colonial style building. Yega, Ms Truc and the rest of front desk team do a brilliant job. So helpful with restaurant bookings, directions, late checkouts etc.The regular speed boat into the middle of the city is very handy. Unfortunately the boat driver at the beginning of our stay (over TET holiday) was not the friendliest especially with our 8 year old who became quite frightened of him. On the last day of our stay there was a lovely smiley new driver who made all the difference. Thanks again to the whole team again !

Satri House: "Very relaxing and charming"

Review by: Alan D | Source: Trip Advisor
My wife and is stayed Here for 9 days during July, and even the rainy season could not dampen our enjoyment. Satri house is so charming, relaxing, well run and very clean. The staff are very attentive and polite, the whole ambiance is very colonial, lush and elegant. Despite what others say it is only a very brief 5-10 minutes walk into the town. Simply wonderful..

Pindaya Farm House: "Great Shan State retreat"

Review by: Lucasmom2016 | Source: Trip Advisor
"My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our 2.5 day, 3 night stay at the farmhouse. After working/living in Yangon for six weeks, Pindaya Farmhouse is a little paradise, a beautiful building, with wonderful spaces indoors and out to enjoy the rural scenery, along a quiet drive and road out from which we birded quite happily in the afternoon (enchanted by the Sooty-Headed Bulbuls...). The décor is stunning, including bright paintings by Myanmar artists that grace the common room's walls. We also appreciated the farmhouse's efforts at sustainability, with solar panels, solar heated water for showers, rainwater harvesting and storage, and ample vegetable gardens and newly planted fruit trees. I can't wait til the mango trees begin to supply fruit! The rooms are extremely comfortable, each with private sitting spaces outside affording vistas of the rural countryside. Lighting is excellent, and the wifi system was quite reliable (also surprising to find!). The kitchen offers a nice array of dishes for lunch and dinner, although Win Naing also recommended an excellent restaurant, the Golden Moon, on the outskirts of town. We spent one half-day touring the caves, the nearby paper/umbrella artisans, and a weaver. On our second full day, we hired a guide to take us on a 5-mile hike up into the hills, where we visited a village in the bamboo grove and watched potato ""crackers"" being smoked/dried and enjoyed green tea and good conversation with the lady of the house. Along the way, we were passed by a couple and two Myanmar guides who were hiking from Pindaya to Kalaw, a three-day trek. I also collect textiles, and was sent to a little gift shop that had a beautiful selection of women's ""longyi"" cloths. Afternoons were for relaxing and reading, while evenings we especially enjoyed our final dinner shared with fellow travelers. In mid-February the air is still cool and delightfully dry in Pindaya, a welcome respite from Yangon, although it was always a bit smoky from the farmers who are burning crop residues in preparation for the upcoming growing season. That gave a special glow to the sunrises and sunsets, which were both stunning. Thahara made it very easy for me to arrange all aspects of the trip, managing my extensive email inquiries, helping me to settle on dates, and even arranging flights for us between Yangon and Heho near Taunggyi. I paid online via a secure epayment website, it could not have been easier. I plan to recommend Thahara's Pindaya Farmhouse to all my Yangon colleagues!"
