Rakkojae Seoul: "Hanok Stay with modern conveniences"
We visited Seoul as a family reunion. Rakkojae was within walking distance to The Blue House, the Gyeongbokgung Palace, Changdeokgung Palace, Buckchon Village, Jogyesa Temple, Insadong, and lots of Michelin rated restaurants. The staff and Mr. Kim, our host/concierge was very helpful with recommendations of what to do, where to eat, arrange taxi rides, etc. He even was kind enough to allow us to leave our luggage before and after our stay to allow us a little more time in Seoul. Rakkojae Seoul is located in a very quiet, off-the-beaten-track neighborhood that make us feel like we are back in the Joseon Dynasty. Oh, and the staff provided us with a delicious traditional Korean breakfast, and Continental Breakfast. If you want a Hanok experience with modern conveniences, we highly recommend Rakkojae Seoul.Manda De Laos: "Great experience, great celebration and great food"
"Went there yesterday evening for my wife secret birthday so emailed the restaurant few weeks ago as we knew we would be in Luang Prabang that specific day. The restaurant manager replied really promptly confirming dates hours etc. The restaurant looks stunning and give you a first great impression. Our good surprise was to find out that the restaurant manager gave us the special table in the middle of the pond so you get your privacy. I didn't know even myself so was really impressed and happy. Makes it quite romantic and perfect for the occasion. Food also was great, we had lao pork meatballs to start to share, for main we had the ribs and duck, was delicious. For desert we were full so shared a lovely coconut creme brulee. Then came another surprise after our desert with staff bringing another desert with candle and singing happy birthday. Such a nice and sweet attention mainly when I did not ask for anything but manager had the note from my reservation it was special occasion. We truly enjoyed our dinner and can only recommend it. Not a criticism as it did not affect our happiness but small constructive information, the cocktail menu has lots of vodka based drinks (all expect one based on whisky). Unfortunately that's the only alcohol my wife does not drink so would be nice to have other cocktail options. The other thing more informative for people who have never been, the food is quite refine and we would usually not go when travelling in South East Asia. It was mainly because it was special occasion for us so if you are like us you might not enjoy it but again all was amazing. It is definitely more expensive than average Lao prices but not overpriced for the service and food we had. Just thought I would mention this as I saw some bad reviews on this place which I think is more due to choosing not suitable place than the restaurant itself not being great. Hope that make sense. Basically just enjoy this amazing restaurant."4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Tranquility Base"
"I stayed with my wife and son for a couple of nights on one of the floating tents recently. Our hosts had arranged an extra bed for our son and a lovely bouquet of flowers for my wife's birthday. The 4 Rivers team really enjoy making your stay as comfortable and unique as they can. Swimming in the river straight from your lodge makes you feel like you're in the middle of a jungle. Do get up early and listen to the dawn chorus. The trip to the fishing village and collecting clams in a mangrove swamp is great. There are bugs around at night but they are dealt with. The management did everything they could to make arrangements when our plans changed at short notice. A big thank you to the whole team for making our stay so memorable. "Maduzi Hotel: "Perfect place"
A great summary of what you can expect in Bangkok - great place, wonderful people! Further the location also couldn't be better if looking for getting easily around in Bangkok. Overall perfect stay and for sure I will come back in due course.Rice & Zen Boutique Resort: "A gem of a place"
"It is no wonder Sea-dance has won so many awards! This small boutique hotel is the perfect escape from the bustling crowds of nearby towns like Bophut, Fisherman's Village, Chaweng and Bangrak. However, a quick taxi ride can be organized by the hotel or by using the company just outside the gates. We stayed in a seafront villa with our own splash-pool. The room was spacious and beautiful. The sea, main pool, bar, restaurant was close by. It is an environmentally friendly hotel with their own veg garden. It is spotlessly clean and impeccably maintained. Staff take pride in their work which is testament to the owner Poh's Booncham's excellent management. What a team: Faith, Poh, Luk etc you are all amazing: you attended to our every need"TIGER MOUNTAIN POKHARA LODGE: "Rural eco-lodge with stunning views"
We stayed here for a couple of nights in October 2015. It was the ideal relaxation before embarking on a trek in the Annapurna region. The lodge aims to be very eco-friendly and produces much of its own food in the grounds. Escorted walks are possible; we went on a short 2-hour one and gained an insight into Nepalese rural life. We stayed in our own bungalow, and took meals and drinks in the main building, which has a bar and restaurant. The food was excellent! Our lunches were Nepalese and dinner more European in style, and the breakfasts were huge! We enjoyed sun-downers and snacks in the evening in the bar, and during power cuts it was romantically candle-lit! We were woken early with coffee at our room to view the sunrise over the Fishtail mountain - a fabulous sight! Attentive and friendly staff made our visit perfect.Cuca: "Wonderful"
"Went to Cuca last night for our first visit We had the Chefs Tasting Plate..what an amazing experience Beautiful variety of tastes and textures Great value for money We will definetly be back. Don't miss out on the Bali Breakfast Dessert when you go there Lovely staff and wonderful service ... Thank you to everyone at Cuca"MesaStila: "Relaxing getaway"
Beautiful place just like the photos. The rooms are nice, clean, in the middle of nature. There are a lot of activities to do in house from coffee plantation tour to yoga in the morning. The staffs are nice and made the experience exceptional, especially our coffee tour guide. What can be improved is perhaps food; it is not that it sucks but rather for such a nice resort we expected more. Wine by the glass at the restaurant wasn't great either and overall wine prices / corkage price are high. However I think the overall experience is great. Very relaxing. Would come back.GOLDEN BUDDHA BEACH RESORT: "Pure bliss"
"My husband and I stayed at this lovely resort for 5 days at the end of our travels through Thailand and it was an absolute dream! All of the staff were very helpful, welcoming, and instantly made me feel at home. As we rode on the long tail boat to the resort I could start to feel my stress and worries melt away, which continued throughout our time there. The food was absolutely amazing and there was a huge variety. I don't think they offered the same thing twice in the week we were there. The breakfast buffet was heavenly and the best way to start each day. Although I have traveled somewhat extensively, I have never been so sad to leave a resort. I would go back in a heartbeat and would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to get away from it all. "Slow Villas and Spa: "jewel of the island"
The incredible villa, staff and overall experience were hands down the best part of my trip to Bali! Every detail was thought of. From luxurious linens & pillows, to travel adaptors and even headlamps for evening walks down Shady Lane - Slow has made it their mission to ensure you have no worries whatsoever! Mission accomplished. I cannot wait to return and be back in this little slice of heaven!
