Locavore: "Perfection!"
"Had the 7 Course tasting menu and it was incredible. The atmosphere and service was friendly and attentive. Even before the first course came in we were served seven or eight amuse bouche, all gorgeous in look and taste. We had the drink pairing wich is a stroke of genius when you compare to the traditional wine pairing. The whole menu was exciting from start to finish and I dare say it was amongst the best dining excperiences I've ever had. Unfortunately I live on the other side of the world, otherwise I would be back again soon."Neeleshwar Hermitage: "Third visit to this oasis in the Kerala"
This is an eco hotel that doesn't stint on luxury. Just a dozen or so authentic Keralan bungalows in a coconut grove by the sea. Staff outnumber the guests and deliver first class unobtrusive service. Comfortable roomy beds with high quality bed linen. Exquisite food in both restaurants. Yards from the sea where dolphins swim and locals fish. All staff are dedicated to making sure you are happy with everything. Won't pick out any one as they all deserve a mention. Very good spa also. We will be back again next year!!Maduzi Hotel: "Good value"
Great value hotel, decent service, quick check in. Location ok have sukhimvit or thonglor in easy distance. Free mini bar for all soft drinks. Breakfast was included and pretty decent. My only comment would be the coffee and front gate welcome wasn't great.Golden Buddha Beach Resort: "Paradise and more"
This place is just incredible, after years of searching in Thailand, this is the hidden gem, paradise that I have been looking for. The island is incredible. The hotel is so well run, clean, amazing food and a fantastic yoga teacher. We just had the best time.Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "An incredibly magical stay in George Town!"
When I came across the Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion I knew that it would be a special place, however, it completely exceeded my expectations! There is really no place like it in George Town and even the world. This carefully restored historic mansion helps evoke the history of the city, it has beautiful antiques and family heirlooms, making you feel like your a guest of Mr Cheog Fatt Tze himself. Rooms are very spacious, include top quality luxury fittings and are all unique. There's also an excellent restaurant which I'd recommend for their great value lunch menu or for a romantic dinner. The pool was an added bonus, considering it can get hot in George Town! I hope to be able to return to this fabulous hotel!villa song: "elegant colonial house"
We booked the imperial suite and didn't regret it. Huge in size, wonderful bathroom with riverview and 2 balconies, one on the river and a smaller to to poolside. Villa Song Saigon is a peaceful retreat in an elegant area full of colonial houses. We loved the whole interior of the house, this french colonial style, bright and airy. The front desk arranged a private trip for us to the cu chi tunnels, the tour was organized well. Both days, we took the shuttle to town (only bus available when we stayed there), it was a short ride about 15-20 minutes and comfortable. Breakfast was good, also our asian lunch. Snacks are also available by the poolside. We loved our stay here, although it was a bit far out of Saigon Center.Cuca: "Sharing food was a good idea"
We went to Cuca last week and absolutely will come back again. The portion for sharing with friends was a good idea so we could try some of recommended menu.Rachamankha: "Beautiful Rachamankha"
"My husband and I spent our honeymoon at Rachamankha during Christmas and New Year 2013, and we were thrilled to be able to return again in November 2016. We have so many wonderful memories of the hotel from our first trip and these were definitely added to on this visit. Something about Rachamankha speaks to me - it is elegant, unpretentious, immaculate, welcoming and just so beautiful. Absolutely gorgeous. The gardens and grounds are immaculately maintained, the pool area is lovely, the restaurant, bar, library and courtyards are elegant and simple, and the rooms are comfortable, spotlessly clean and have everything you need. The attention to detail is wonderful. Breakfast options include a buffet with the usual suspects of breads, pastries, fruit, yoghurt, cheese, cold meats, etc., as well as many items from the menu, cooked to order. My favourite is still the banana pancakes and hubby loves the congee. Lunch and dinner options are great too, if you feel like staying in. And there is a great drinks menu with lots of cocktails, wines and other goodies. Rachamankha isn't for everyone. If you are holidaying with small kids, or you're looking for a party, then there are plenty of other wonderful options for you in Chiang Mai. But, if you're like us, and you're looking for simple elegance with comfortable surroundings, and a quiet relaxing holiday, then Rachamankha is definitely what you're looking for. In closing, I must give thanks to the staff. They were lovely, helpful and kind. The service was efficient, prompt and polite, and the staff really do take a huge amount of pride in their work. Every single team member from the security guards at the gate, the gardeners, the restaurant staff, the front office team and housekeeping are just wonderful! Again my thanks to Wanida, who is a true gem. We can't wait to return! :)"The Village House: "Quiet and secluded"
"The a Village House is well positioned on the Santubong for accessing local attractions. It is also only 100 metres from a windswept beach which is lovely for early morning walks. The bird watching is great. The accommodation is really very nice. The design of the place, with all rooms facing inward, overlooking the pool, creates an intimate and friendly environment where you can simply forget every single worry in the world. (...) I went twice whilst living Malaysia and it provided much needed respite from the stresses of living in KL. A magical place."Villa Song Saigon: "Must stay"
"I had a chance to come across this hotel as I was sourcing an outdoor venue for a corporate event. Everyone at Villa Song was very helpful with our event. For those looking for a place to have an outdoor wedding, look no further - Villa Song is the place to go to! I had the chance to stay there for a night and I regretted as it's too short!!! I will definitely be back! The room is huge and the bed is very comfortable. They have a great restaurant that is just by the Saigon river that offers 2 completely different views for day and night. Food is awesome as well and you have the choice of either Vietnamese or Western - both are great. They have a great pool as well - though they don't offer any view but they have make the pool very cosy. Just a look at the pool and you will want to stay there. Spa was great too! I had a 75min massage - price is cheaper than the 5-star hotels in District 1. Although the location is at District 2, it is not far from other places. I would recommend staying here for 1-2N for some quiet moments before staying at the downtown area. Just a note that I don't think there is any elevator. Thus if you have problems walking up the stairs, you can request for rooms that are at the ground level."
