Inle Heritage Stilt Houses: "Cocoones dans un endroit delicieux"

"Formidable, de grands bungalows décorés avec charme, un petit déjeuner raffiné dans le soleil levant, une excellente cuisine avec un choix exceptionnel et à prix très doux (15 €/personne pour un repas complet) et des produits bio. Et des attentions de chaque instant : le soir non seulement on vous installé la moustiquaire mais vous trouvez aussi votre bouillotte et une rose sur votre oreiller...fruits fais tous les jours et la veille de votre départ, on vous offre un cadeau ! J'ai oublié de vous dure que c'est d'abord une école d'hôtellerie...parfois quelques imperfections mais une telle gentillesse, volonté de bien faire et bienveillance de chaque instant que l'on pardonne tout ! La fondation qui gère ce lieu d'exception travaille aussi et surtout à la préservation du lac et des traditions. En y séjournant vous faites donc une bonne action. Le seul désagrément, le bruit des bateaux qui circulent de manière incessante et ce désagrément est à mettre en perspective du développement du pays... trop de produits bas de gamme, trop de pollution, un développement très anarchique. Bali Jiwa Villa: "Irresistible view over an oasis of nature…"

"For those who know what it means, there are some places in this world which cannot be described with words or pictures. Bali Jiwa Villa is one of them. When we first arrive the driver had to go through some retreat villages shortly after Ubud to finally rush into a luxurious jungle over an horizon of rice fields. At the end of a small path cutting directly through the piece of jungle, Bali Jiwa Villa entrance appeared like an oasis in the desert. The door opened and a charming Balinese woman welcome us with a heartful smile. She escort us to the Villa which was perfectly arranged and neat, she left and came back with a welcome drink and a refreshing towel. (...) Going around is quite easy. We personally recommend to rent a motorbike (just ask the staff) as driving is quite relax in this area. (...)Several local dining options are available around this area as well. Renting a car with a private driver is another option. To pampered yourself, Balinese Massage and Yoga Class are two delightful options, and for those feeling a little more sportive, cycling and rafting are two other possibilities. This place is a MUST in a lifetime, and a WOW!"

The Island Lodge: "Hard to fault"

"We were only able to stay for one night but the trip was well worthwhile. The service is excellent and it really is as beautiful as the photos suggest. The attention to detail is fabulous and it's this that really sets the Island lodge apart from your average hotel. Peaceful , tranquil and you can just lie by the pool watching the river traffic drift by."

Locavore: "Amazing Lunch in Ubud"

"Our experience at this restaurant was truly amazing. We were recommended by our good friend to come here and we left happy, full and satisfied. We sat in the kitchen rail and got to see the chefs create some of the dishes. The front of house staff was friendly and attentive. We ordered the 7 course lunch and kitchen staff explained in detail of every single course that came to us. There was also an prologue and epilogue to the 7 course, which added to the whole experience. I'm originally from Indonesia and accustomed to the traditional tastes and meal presentation. These guys took it to the next level and blew my mind. The intertwining of complex flavours are interesting. Some of the flavours brought me back to childhood, some exposed me to new tastes. This is all to say that my tastebuds were very happy and wanting more. We had a really nice time. 2 hours well spent!"

The Samar: "Intimate and excellent"

"I've been at SAMAR four nights in July 2015. Overall experience was marvellous. Hotel has 8 rooms only, large and comfortable, designed in colonial style with abudant use of timber and coupled with walking wardrobe and huge bathroom. Pool is always silent and ideal for resting after sunset. Staff is welcoming, pleasant end ready. SPA, satellite TV, fast wi-fi connection everywhere, room safe, english language all available. During my stay I never met more than 3 other guests together, I got a residential feel almost, as being guest at somebody place. Location is conveniently located near archeologic sites and away from noisy and busy msrket/pub area. Highly recommended."

Reverie Siam: "A special spot"

One of those rare places where the photos don't do it justice and you have to go there to experience the beauty. So much care has been taken in the architecture, interior, landscaping and staff to create a unique environment. The hotel perfectly compliments the most picturesque setting. We are already planning to return.

Tugu Bali: "Very different"

Very beautiful room and great location! I will definitely come again for holiday.. The restaurant is very unique and serve one of the best food in the location, people are very friendly. Perfect for a holiday gate away..

Sanak Retreat Bali: "In the rice fields, whit the head in the stars!"

"all around there is the smell of clove, the right place where break with the compulsory life of the overactive Seminyak..... you don't need to move, just look around and breath the peaceful sense of time passing. The lovely wooden bungalow are conformable and far away each other to grantee privacy and good rest. the food is excellent and the price definitely correct for the quality deserve. after 15 years coming in Bali for vacations is nice to be surprise..again ! Room Tip: better far from the restaurant aerea...."

Bassac Cruises: "Entente cordiale"

"This was a beautiful one night cruise at the end of our trip to the Mekong Delta. We transferred from Cai Be jetty by small boat to Bassac I where we were introduced to the boat in perfect English by Thuc. Our cabin was as expected small but cosy with a double bed and aircon and the luggage quickly became invisible under the bed. After a drink, our fellow passengers arrived 4 French, 2 Swiss (French speaking) and 2 English. Everyone got on very well and there was much laughter with respective groups trying out their English and French speaking! The food was good throughout. The service was great and the ambience on this wonderful wooden boat was relaxing. Trips off the boat x 2 were very interesting and fun and made the more so by Thuc! We would highly recommend this trip for rest and relaxation and plenty of watching the world go by as you cruise the Mekong."

VILLA SONG SAIGON: "Old School Elegance"

"Wow - what a place. Right on the river. To catch a ride to the heart of District 1, there is no shuttle bus. There is a shuttle boat - a speed boat. You ride up the river, past all the barges and little tugboats - past all the major waterfront development as you approach the heat and noise of Ho Chi Minh City. Villa Song is located in an exclusive old part of the city, tucked away on its own - by the water. We had a room overlooking the river. It was amazing to look out and see a container barge floating by so close. The restaurant is world class in my opinion. The chef has some great ideas about ingredients and presentation. The pool is a bit small and cramped but who cares. This is Saigon, baby. The staff were friendly and professional. We had a late checkout - no problem. The experience overall was flawless. Highly recommended. "
