Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "Historical beauty"

Review by: 22112-mlmm | Source: Trip Advisor
What a special and unique place to stay. Amazing high ceilings and fabulous architecture. VERY hot water in the shower and the nicest linen I’ve slept on in a long time. Breakfast was delicious. Didn’t eat other meals in the hotel but the menu looked great. The pool is in a sweet back garden which we had all to ourselves. No good for exercise but perfect for dipping, splashing and cooling off. Well located for a wonder to Love Lane and a gentle walk home after too much hawker food. I love this place. Staff were friendly and helpful but their English (although infinitely better than my Malay) not great.

Sanak Retreat Bali: "Unique, peaceful and beautiful"

Review by: bg1981 | Source: Trip Advisor
"Sanak is an oasis of peace, off the beaten track, between rice fields, with cooler temperatures than the rest of Bali but actually perfect and hot just a bit less humid and not boiling hot. The view over rice fields is amazing, we stayed in a bungalow - very comfortable and stylish. Good food, organic, catering for people with any special diet. No plastic or coca-cola, I loved it, lots of fresh herbal teas, great for people who are environmentally conscious, like nature and want to stay away from the crowds. Amazing massage, the best we had in Bali, especially the milder version of the Balinese massage was great. I recommend also a walk to the waterfalls, although the local guide was fussing over me as if I was to fall down from each bigger stone :) It was worth a little walk and there were no one else there. It was still raining at the time we were there (end of raining season) but mornings were sunny and good for activities. It looks beautiful in any weather here. Sanak supports preserving the local area and gives work to people in the village, I just love what they stand for. This is the best combination I have seen of eco-tourism and luxury. We will come back."

samar: "Beautiful Retreat"

Review by: Joyja | Source: tripadvisor.com
"This is review is long over due. My husband and I stayed here in April and was blown away by it's charms, service and location. Upon arrival, we were greeting with a refreshing non-alcoholic drink and invited to sit in the the sunken sofa in the lobby area. It was nice not to have to stand around and wait to check in at a counter. The reception came and handed me my paperwork while I was relaxing. The General Manager/Owner came out to meet me and explained that my original room that I had booked had a broken AC and they had offer another room for me to stay instead. All of the rooms are gorgeous, well-appointed and and large. It didn't matter which room we were but it was a nice touch that he would personally delivered that message to me. The grounds is nicely kept and looks exactly like that picture on the website, the location is a bit tucked away but it kept the street noise at bay. It was only a 5-7 min scooter ride to the gates of Angkor Wat. We are dinner there every day and the food was good, avoid the steak, as I think the beef quality in Cambodia can be a bit tough. Breakfast was included with our rooms and it was a la cart and it was very well presented. The bathroom reminds me of an old french colonial style with a claw-footed tubs. However, the amenities (lotion, shower gel, etc) was in a ceramic container. Be careful, Since the shower gel can get slippery, it slipped out of my hand during my shower and the top broke off. Upon checkout, they charged me for a replacement since they said it was imported from Thailand. I didn't questioned it but it seemed a little silly to put a ceramic container in a shower and not expect the guest to drop it on the bathroom tile. All in all, A perfect retreat to come back to after a long and sweaty day touring the temples. Highly recommend it!"

MesaStila: "Colonial charm fantastic place"

Review by: Chinmay211 | Source: Trip Advisor
Great place to explore central java, borobudur, prambanan etc. Estate build in colonial times is perfect getaaway from the city. Nice touch with heritage style villas. Coffee plantation tour is fun and informative, get freshly ground coffee as well. Nicely nestled amongs the mountains with spectacular views, infinity pool and a massive spa for those who like to indulge. Food is decent with good mix of western and local food. Great coffee cocktails! Service is also very very good extremely friendly staff.

Rakkojae Seou: "Beautiful hanok"

Review by: fallletter | Source: Trip Advisor
I stayed here for 3 nights. The hostess and Kim, hanok manager, were very nice and warm-hearted people. I would recommend this place to travelers who seek traditional hanok to stay. My tour guide told me other hanoks are small compared to Rakkojae.

The Cabochon Hotel: "charming and intimate"

Review by: Judy A | Source: Trip Advisor
My room was very private, comfortable and everything worked well. No fuss and elegant, yet quite different form larger hotels. Very individual. the pool was very nice for a dip at the end of the day. the breakfast in the library is great as is the restaurant. Everything is well done.

Villa Song Saigon: "don’t wanna tell anybody” kind of hotel"

Review by: 169akikom | Source: Trip Advisor
The quiet river view makes you feel you are far away from the lively life of HCMC. We enjoyed the atmosphere of the hotel so much. It was a relaxing experience, especially the boat riding in the afternoon was so wonderful. Spa and swimming pool was also nice. Quite a memorable stay.

Neeleshwar Hermitage: "Wow!"

Review by: castlecolchester | Source: Trip Advisor
"A fantastic stay at Neeleshwar. A unique resort, on the coast of Northern Kerala facing the Arabian Sea. The staff were so attentive and nothing was too much trouble.Unspoilt scenery enhanced by the amount of space between each living area. Fantastically managed gardens with wonderfully, in keeping buildings. The cottages were beautifully furnished. Breakfast served in the beach restaurant, overlooking the sea. Lunch and dinner in a choice of venues. Fish by the beach or a larger selection at the main restaurant. Food to die for and such a choice. We had some clothes made in the resort shop, excellent service. The spa facilities were great. The views from the infinity pool were unbelievable from dawn to dusk. We reluctantly left, to continue our tour of Kerala,a line up of staff to wish us Bon voyage. A real treat! It's not if, but when, we will return. Stayed January 2017, traveled with friends"

4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Very peaceful place"

Review by: Diana-worldtraveler | Source: Trip Advisor
"We stayed three nights at 4 Rivers and we have enjoyed every minute. Beautiful location and friendly staff. The tent is very spacious and the bathroom is fully equipped. All tents have a lovely terrace with 2 sunbeds. We went with Mr. ""W"" Mr. ""Rambo"" to the Tatai Falls and to the Fishing Village and both trips were wonderful. Every night you can go out to watch the fireflies; beautiful! The only downside for me personally was the heat in the tent. The days we visited 4 Rivers it was very hot. There are 2 mobile fans in the tent, but that doesn't make any sence in that kind of heat. The second night we opened the tent on all sides,(there are mosquitonets in all windows) but there was also no wind, so.... but the whole experience was absolutly fantastic, so I forget those 3 night with no sleep... :) https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g1532269-d1544191-r450676407-4_Rivers_Floating_Lodge-Koh_Kong_Koh_Kong_Province.html#"

Dewakan: "Great experience!"

Review by: Kritz_Y | Source: Trip Advisor
"Just checked their website and they seemed to have changed their menu! Seems like what I had was a mixture of their old menu and the new one. Snacks (Choy Sum Nori, Beef Tendons, Mango Curry, Yoghurt and Roselle): Choy Sum Nori was quite cool and memorable! The others were ... interesting? Could be too weird for some. Starters (Blue Mackerel, Roast Mushrooms, Grilled Vegetables, Home Made Noodles): Quite liked the roast mushrooms. Was told to eat from right to left, but perhaps plating it from left to right would be make more sense since most people hold their forks on the left and knives on the right? Just a suggestion! The noodles weren't that great, however. Mains (Pike Conger, Duck, Quail): The highlight of the night! I really loved each of the 3 main dishes, but sadly two of them don't seem to be on the new menu anymore. Probably one of the most memorable dishes I've had. Desserts (Mulberries, Gula Melaka, Chocolate Tart, Popsicles): The 3 desserts from the menu were great. At the end they gave us 3 additional popsicles even though we were absolutely stuffed by then. Really didn't like the weird popsicle flavours, but to each their own perhaps? Can't imagine it would be popular since none of us liked the popsicles. Service was great, however some were a little too soft-spoken when it came to explaining the dishes. Not sure if having descriptions left on the table would be too tacky but I would love to have something to refer to while eating."
