Reverie Siam Pai: "Small Luxury Boutique Hotel"
The hotel is low level and sits beautifully in the lovely landscaped grounds. We had a mountain view view room which was absolutely lovely and very peaceful. The bathrooms are stunning and the shower had amazing water pressure. The beds are huge with lovely crisp linens. The location is perfect, by the river and slightly out of town. There is a free shuttle which is excellent for when you wish to go into town. The staff were truly focused on the customer, always smiling and nothing was too much trouble. The eggs hollandaise for breakfast were stupendous. As veggies the staff were always happy to amend the menu and we had no problems there but a little more veggie choice would have been great. The cocktails, restaurant area, swimming pools and riverside pavilion were all fabulous. We stayed 5 nights and by the end we felt like regulars...totally at home. As a luxury treat on our two week motorbiking holiday this place was a real tonic and we would absolutely come back/stay here if ever in this area again.Rachamankha: "Exceptional hotel with a great restaurant"
We have stayed at the hotel for a few nights while visiting Chiang Mai. Location is great and within walking distance (15min) to many attractions that the city has to offer. Room was beautifully decorated and had all the amenities you needed except they don't give you conditioner so bring your own. I would highly recommend eating at the restaurant, we had snacks and dinner and the food and service were great. Would definitely stay again.Villa Song: "Beautiful hotel, grounds and artwork."
Our family of 4 stayed in a suite with balcony. Bedroom area was a little cramped with one extra bed for our girls to share, lots of room in the entrance/bathroom/balcony though. Close enough to get to town with ease and so quiet and relaxing to come back to. Kids loved the pool and we really enjoyed our included massages. The artwork and attention to detail were lovely. Staff were great, super helpful. Would have liked to stay longer.Noel Rodrigo’s Leopard Safaris: "Wonderful"
This is a fantastic experience. Noel and the team have covered all the bases which makes for a wonderful and genuine safari reminiscent of the original African model. The camp is well equipped with tents spaced to afford privacy, offering large beds and private bathrooms. The food was just excellent throughout our stay. We saw a variety of wildlife including leopards and were grateful to Noël for sharing his photos after a camera malfunction. From my original contact with Sophie everything flowed seamlessly and made for a great stay.Le Calao: "One of the better restaurants in town"
Visited twice, good food, excellent service, smiling and smart staff. Have tables on several floors and terraces, indoor and outdoor. Situated in an old newly renovated house, well done. Highly recommend.Tugu Malang: "Magic!"
Everything is excellent: staff, the restaurant (great menu) , rooms, afternoon tea, the decors, ... The staff will give you all sort of info and great advice. Don't forget to visit the Bakery next door: Roti Tugu. Highly recommended! One tip: book your table for dinner.Noel Rodrigo’s Leopard Safaris: "The highlight of my trip"
"Noel and Cecile were fantastic hosts and the whole experience at the campsite was wonderful. The staff are really friendly and everyone works so hard to make the experience memorable. The tents are thoughtfully equipped with everything that you need including a torch, mobile phone, fans, electrical sockets and ear plugs for when the jungle gets noisy at night! The food is delicious (best I had in Sri Lanka) and I loved the fact that everyone ate together around a big table so you got to know your fellow campers. The safaris were brilliant and Noel accompanied us on the morning drive and shared his extensive knowledge about the animals and their habitat. It was very exciting getting up at 4:45am and driving off through the semi-dark to the jungle! All in all it was a brilliant experience and I can't speak highly enough of this place. I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone else who is thinking of visiting Sri Lanka."Hotel Tugu Bali: "Luxury in Canggu"
"We had the absolute best time at Hotel Tugu in spite of travelling during the volcano chaos and one day of illness. Nothing could spoil our time at this luxurious resort. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay great and are truly exceptional. It's in a fabulous location right next to the beach. We took advantage of all the facilities - pool, spa, room service, restaurants, tours, and even a surfing lesson. Each experience was fantastic. I was celebrating my 30th and I cannot thank the each member of the staff at Hotel Tugu enough for their attentive and kind service. We will definitely be back and would recommend this place highly!"Sandat Glamping Tents: "A truly magical place"
"Ubud and its surroundings are full of Swanky five star hotels and retreats but if you want to experience something truly magical head to Sandat, you won't regret it! Set amid the rice fields this quixotic resort that defies definitions is truly stunning: you'll be able to choose among some luxury tents (more on this later) or three of the lumbungs, traditional Balinese rice barns that have been conceived as spacious apartments. We stayed in one of the tents, actually a lovely structure built with high tech materials that will just about separate you from the adjacent rice field and the forest in front of you. I always hated camping and this is nothing like that: you'll find yourself in a five star room with all amenities and comforts (wooden floors, stylish furniture, comfy bed), don't be put off if, like me, camping is not for you! Every tent has its own private plunge pool and sun chairs. At all time you are far away from indiscreet eyes and the staff will always announce their presence before coming anywhere near your place. Mind that this is also an eco resort and they made the conscious decision not to have aircon (yet the tent was very fresh) or television (but wifi and plenty of books and magazines are available). Longest review I've ever posted on tripadvisor, yet it's not over. (...)Enjoy the tropical garden and be amazed to find out that all the lush plants are just two years old. What else can I say? If you don't mind spending the extra dollar and you are looking for a true memory then Sandat is the ideal place for you!"The River Resort: "Luxury by the Mighty Mekong"
We three seniors had two goals for this four day layover. One was a good rest after a busy two weeks. The second was to see sunset over the Mekong. We got our rest with fully appointed rooms with balconies overlooking the river, two infinity pools, seating under the trees for Happy Hour and a wonderful menu. Breakfast is included and it is excellent. The staff could not be more friendly and helpful. All arrangements were made for our four events, to Wat Phou, aromatherapy massages (with muscle), the sunset cruise, and a walk through the villages and temples on the island across the way in the cool of the morning. There were several families with young children, and other seniors enjoying being pampered, like us. This place is perfect for those two demographics.
