Discover Muang La | Visit Laos | Luxury & Boutique Hotel: "Good food, clean, comfortable and tranquil"

Review by: asclepios | Source: Trip Advisor
Spa water fills the hot water tubs, in which you can relax before supper. The setting is by a stunning river, with farmers working the fields. The food was of a high standard. The rooms large and comfortable. Ours had a veranda overlooking the spa pools by the river in which the local villagers come to bathe. Very polite and attentive staff. It is worth doing the day trip to see the local hill villages. They have few western visitors and are fascinating and friendly.

Villa Song Saigon: "Oasis"

Review by: JohannaEmmaSofia | Source: Trip Advisor
This hotel is a good choice if you wish to spend some time relaxing at the hotel. The location is not near the main sights but they are an easy taxi ride away, so we didn't find this a problem. If you enjoy cute and chic boutique hotels this is a good choice in saigon. The restaurant has spectacular view of the river. The breakfast was superb.

MesaStila: "Impressive Resort in Central Java"

Review by: Rio R | Source: tripadvisor.com
"I stay here with my wife for 3D2N and it's not enough. Mesastila offers a wonderful wellness experience. This resort surrounded by mountains and panoramic view. It's all a natural comfort experience. We stayed in Arum Villa. A very traditional Javanese house with brilliant balcony view where we can see 4 mountains ahead. This spacy villa offers comfortable bed and furnishing (in traditional way), nice bathtub, and fast wi-fi just in case I need to do some of my work in the balcony with mountain view. Don't forget to try it's Hammam Spa, enjoy the sunset along with their afternoon tea & snack, plantation tour, and delicious food. It's a very recommended resort and I definitely will come back here."

Maison Polanka: "Best hotel of our trip!"

Review by: TheBarrettsAbroad | Source: Trip Advisor
"Maison Polanka is an incredible place. On our first evening there, we had a glass of bubbles as we watched the sky slowly turn to dusk and listened to the birds, the cicadas and the nearby monks singing -- total perfection. It was such a treat to be taken care of so well and in such a stunningly beautiful environment. We stayed for five nights in the Khmer house, which was great. Plenty of space, nice amenities, and kept nice and cool by the fans and AC. The staff worked with my husband to plan a fantastic birthday dinner for me, setting up a romantic private dining experience surrounded by candles and even ordering in a special birthday cake. We would recommend Maison Polanka to any traveler who is looking to experience Cambodia in serenity and luxury and in the care of a wonderful staff. Our biggest thanks to Cathy, Julie, Cune, Tuy La, Kong, Da, Som, Osa, Chan, Rithy, Seam, Sam, Sopharin, Thy, Sarin, Sopha, and the rest of the amazing team behind the scenes that make it such a special place."

THE SAMAR: "The Samar Villa & Spa Resort"

Review by: vwg0lf | Source: Trip Advisor
I highly recommend this delightful boutique hotel in Siem Reap. The staff were welcoming, efficient and professional. We received good advice with regard to visiting the historic sites from the General Manager Bertrand and arrangements were put in place to make it very easy for us to make the most of our time there yet we were still able to fully enjoy our stay. Situated near to Angkor Wat and the center of town yet peaceful and quiet within the bounds of the hotel. A clean and pleasant swimming pool. We were served a very generous breakfast. All the meals we ate at the Hotel were well presented and very tasty with dishes on the menu to suit all palates.

Maduzi Hotel: "Amazing"

Review by: Globehopper8 | Source: Trip Advisor
I stayed 3 nights at the Maduzi hotel and it was an incredible experience. The silk sheets are unlike anything I have ever slept on and alone are worth staying here. Bangkok is always steamy hot and the AC cooled the sheets making the room all the more appealing after a day in the sun. The hotel is conveniently located to the train and abundant restaurants and pubs (though the restaurant serves fantastic food so if you're tired there's absolutely no need to venture out). The Maduzi is the quintessential boutique hotel with a staff that is unfailingly pleasant and helpful. The mini-bar is free and plentiful water is provided upon request. I would definitely recommend staying here and look forward to returning to the Maduzi. PS - if you need anything during your stay Nui is THE MAN.

The Island Lodge: "Une oasis de paix et de… Gentillesse"

Review by: VoyageurMontreal_12 | Source: Trip Advisor
It's very accessible, but once there, it is happiness! The owners are absolutely adorable and attentive staff. A rare kind of envelope you. The place is beautiful. The spacious and comfortable rooms. We were told to guard against mosquitoes, it was useless. Even the mosquitoes are rare and those who cross you are safe ... even nice too. The benefits are high and the restaurant - French or Vietnamese food choice - excellent: top quality products carefully prepared. Here. Nothing to write otherwise: go for it.

Heritage Suites: "Still excellent"

Review by: Ikemx | Source: Trip Advisor
"I returned to the Heritage hotel one year after my previous stay almost exactly to the day. It's an outstanding hotel truly qualifies as a boutique hotel This time I was given a bungalow and my reaction to this upgrade ( low season) was WOW,what amazing room the best hotel room since a stay at Amanpuri in Phuket. The size of the room is fantastic, the living room, of course the bathroom including a steam room, etc etc Outdoor showers The pictures say what I can not say in words I have a comment to make, I was told the hotel has new ownership and a new manager is soon going to arrive. I only recognized one person Mr Han I hope there's no deterioration of an amazing property I highly recommend it, best hotel on this trip that covered 5 countries in SE Asia"

NOEL RODRIGO’S LEOPARD SAFARIS: "Memorable and fun packed 2 day safari in Wilpattu"

Review by: ExplorersUnlimited | Source: tripadvisor.com
"We had high hopes for the 2 day safari, and were not disappointed! Pila was our naturalist host and he drove the jeep and hosted us throughout the safari. He is a knowledgable and experienced guide, very committed to providing a wonderfully memorable and diverse experience. We saw many varieties of birds, mammals and reptiles, often thanks to Pila's sharp and expert eyes. He was happy to provide as much information as we wanted, and carried a selection of reference books on the jeep to add background information to what we were seeing. The highlight was seeing 2 leopards, one up close and magnificent! But we were also delighted by the mongooses, deer, mugger crocs, jackals, painted storks, eagles, brown fish owl, langurs, monitors, turtles, woolly neck storks, adjutants, kingfishers, bee eaters, and many other stars. Pila also educated us about the flora and especially species unique to the area. We observed other professional park guides greeting Pila with respect and deference and realised we were fortunate to be with one of the best. The campsite was in a very natural setting. We had the impression it was actually within Wilpattu National Park, which isn't the case. It's about 15 minutes drive to the entrance. However there were only short queues and the campsite location was fairly peaceful and very beautiful, with plenty of natural sights and sounds. The cook and team produced delicious and beautifully presented food, and all manner of lovely small touches. Cold towels on arrival and each return from game drives, a small library of reference books, torches, campfire, refreshing King coconut water, warm showers on request, solar powered lights in the tent, gorgeous fresh fruit, 4 course meals with plenty to go around. Our first night was on a full moon night, Poya celebration for Buddhists. It was very special to be served a wonderful moonlit dinner in this amazing setting. The second day we were joined by 2 delightful New Zealanders and their Sri Lankan friend, who were great company on the game drives and during our lovely meals, which also added to the magical and memorable experience. "

muang la: "A real Gem"

Review by: Gil W | Source: tripadvison.com
"We stayed three days and two nights in this slice of paradise. The setting is terrific and the service and attention to detail was even better. The fusion of French and Lao cuisine was sensational and the presentation a delight for the eye. The staff to a person clearly has been well trained and look for opportunities to please. We happen to be visiting a day after my birthday and of course they surprised us with an evening of lighting candle lanterns to send off good blessings into the clear evening sky. Truly a place to revisit and restore. Bravo on all fronts. "
