Jing’s Residence: "If you are staying in Pingyao, you need to stay here"
"The only downside to our stay is it wasn't long enough. Jing's Residence surpassed our expectations in every way. From the moment we arrived we felt like we had walked into a dream. The hotel is beautiful and full of history. Even though you are in the centre of the walled old city of Pingyao it is quite and peaceful. The staff is amazing and made us feel so welcome. Our room was beautiful and spacious with seating outside in the courtyard, a perfect place to start your night and end your night. Make sure to eat here!!! The food is wonderful and fresh. My favorite was the local oat noodles, so much so I had it twice. I am a picky eater, because of dietary restrictions and was very well taken care of at Jing's Residence Restaurant. I did the paper cutting class, while my husband went out in the rain to walk the wall, and it was worth every penny to learn something new and to meet Deng Cui Ying. Please don't make the mistake we did and only stay one night. The small village of Old Pingyao is lovely and a day and a night is enough time to visit, but the extra night will let you truly relax and embrace the hotel. I can not thank Imam and his staff enough for the warm hospitality. Our stay with you was the best we had in China."Inle Princess Resort: "TRADITIONAL AND BEAUTIFUL"
For the more traditional stay this is the place for you. The rooms are adorned in cedar and their is an outdoor shower that is just divine. Tea and coffee making is included and they have great wi fi as long as a storm doesn't interrupt the feed :) . The staff are so courteous and will do anything to make your stay the best possible experience on the lake. The pool is large and the spa is excellent and very reasonable in price.Mie Cafe: "Lovely!"
Elegant, delicious food and lovely ambiance for our dinner. But book early if you have a specific date/time you want to eat, as we had to eat later than we wanted just to get a reservation. So glad we were flexible! A perfect way to end our trip.Anopura Resort: "Heaven on Earth"
I have travelled extensively all over India for more than two decades and never come across a more perfect haven - the most wonderful respite after hectic days at JLF and the hurly burly of Jaipur. It is so rare to feel so spoiled in such an unspoiled setting of invigorating sweet air and such pleasing aesthetics. Ishwar and his team are without parallel for their genuine hospitality, highest standards of solicitous service and sheer warmth. There is so much to admire about this sanctuary - the pleasing artistic details, the supreme comfort, the cosseted sense of privacy and privilege and the most outstanding food.I cannot commend this place enough as somewhere to come to be at the still centre of the world, to rest and revive. One night is not long enough and even before leaving, yearn to return. Congratulations to everyone involved in this exceptional boutique project.Satri House: "Very relaxing and charming"
My wife and is stayed Here for 9 days during July, and even the rainy season could not dampen our enjoyment. Satri house is so charming, relaxing, well run and very clean. The staff are very attentive and polite, the whole ambiance is very colonial, lush and elegant. Despite what others say it is only a very brief 5-10 minutes walk into the town. Simply wonderful..The Island Lodge: "aradise on the Mekong Delta"
We were lucky enough to stay here for one night after booking the Les Rives 2 day Mekong Delta speedboat tour. After an awesome day, we had a 1-2hr speedboat ride and had a bit of a snooze.....we woke up just as we arrived at the lodge and wow, instantly it took our breath away. We were greeted personally by the check in staff, room manager and then Michel (one of the owners). This place is beautiful, not crowded, such a feeling a peace and tranquility. Every member of staff was exceptional. If we head back to Vietnam again.....we know where we will be staying :)4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "The Hidden Gem on the River of Tatai Waterfall"
"I rarely reviewed any hotels unless it's an outstanding hotel, but my stay at 4 Rivers last week was unforgettable, such a beautiful resort set on the river Tatai along the Cardamom Mountain, the tents is just a beautiful set up while every is so attentive start from the moment we arrived the check in lounge on mainland, everyone make sure that we are really comfortable during the stay Let mentioned about the responsible of the staff, I went for dinner but when I arrived back at the tent, my bed was made up, they sprayed the mosquito spray also burnt the scent About the resort itself, it like living close to the nature, wake up next to the mountain but inside your own luxury tent I would pay a visit again one time soon to the resort, very highly recommend"Locavore: "European Cuisines using Indonesian Ingredients"
"I was so glad to be able to secure a table this time in only 4 weeks notice. My friends & I were really impressed with Locavore because it always tries to use fresh local produce from Bali and other parts of Indonesia. The menu is very ingredients driven, meaning that it is always updated according to what's available fresh in the market. Service was attentive but perhaps waitresses need more training in story telling skills about origins of ingredients, in what conditions they grow or how special the food was prepared. Those things adds up to the overal dining experience. Locavore offers lunch & dinner tasting menu of 5 or 7 courses with a choice of vegetarian (herbivore) or non-vegetarian (locavore). Although they come in really small portion, you will end up full with line up of snacks, amuse Bouche and pre/post-desserts. Definitely worth visiting. Reservation is compulsory to avoid disappointment."Satri House: "An amazing experience"
From the moment we arrived we were awe-struck by this beautiful property. Gianni and his team do a superb job looking after the guests' every need, from organising tours to arranging airport transportation. All of the staff are very friendly but our favourite was Peng at the pool bar. An absolute delight, he attended us thoughtfully and unobtrusively over our four days at Satri House. We were very sorry to leave. We would definitely stay there again!!Locavore: "Bravo les chefs"
Every year when I visit Bali I always wanted to dine in Locavore, but it was so difficult to book a table. This year we are lucky to get a table for lunch, and we are not disappointed despite of high expectations! The ingredients are very good quality, and we see their efforts to find out many local herbs and vegetables and cook in their way, with perfect occidental culinary skills and amazing combinations. Definitely come back next time when I visit Bali.
