NEELESHWAR: "Heaven on Earth"
"This is the most beautiful place we have ever stayed, peace and tranquillity by the Arabian Sea, heaven on earth. The service was amazing, nothing was too much trouble, we stayed in a lovely cottage called Shanti overlooking the sea, attention to detail was of the highest standard, everything was perfect. There are just 12 cottages which make it very special. The spa was the best we have ever been too, we had a Shirodhara massage, amazing... we were rejuvenated and calmed. Breakfast was at the beach restaurant, (food was of the highest standard) after early morning yoga, what a beautiful way to start the day. We had a wonderful stay at Neeleshwar, and hope to return again. "tugu lombok: "Wonderful stay at Lombok"
"Amazing hotel... Quiet, marvelous decor, beach access, good selection of food & amazing staff - all very attentive to your needs. We had a very particular bathroom but all so nice. One memorable stay at Hotel Tugu! And very happy we included it with our Bali trip. "Tandjung Sari: "A Lovely Place to Stay"
"The Tandjung Sari at first glance may appear to have been eclipsed by other flashier new hotels along the Sanur Beach. However it is all the things this hotel doesn't tell you on its web page which make it so special. The fantastic collection of Indonesian antiques that adorn this pretty hotel, the attentive staff, the amazing food from the kitchen and the sheer peace and calm would be hard to find anywhere else. The bar is manned by a pair of enthusiastic, fun loving mixologists who are constantly devising new drinks for the guests full of natural fruits (none of your nasty sugar based cordials). The breakfast choices were the finest we had ever had staying anywhere and so generous that you don't want to eat midday. Add to this the gentle patronage of the arts by the hotel's benevolent and kindly managers, which allows local children to practice their traditional dances within one of the bales and to perform for guests and you have a perfect, well priced vacation. This is a vision of old Bali. We will definitely be back. "David’s Kitchen: "Personalized service and excellent food"
My wife and I were able to dine here for my birthday. We enjoyed excellent personalized service during our entire visit. The staff used our names several times during service and the food was excellent. Some of the highlights were the pumpkin soup, rack of lamb, and chocolate souffle. David personally stopped by our table multiple times during the meal to check in with us and chat a bit. With a full restaurant we could tell that David really cared about the people in his restaurant and created a sense of eating at a friends house...if your friend has amazing food!Maison Polanka: "A Delight"
We stopped in Cambodia for five days on the way back to Australia from Europe. We wanted a few relaxing days in a warm climate to beat the jet lag and wind down from a busy family-oriented trip to the UK. Maison Polanka was everything we had hoped for from the friendly greeting at the airport from Sopharin, the beautiful compound, stylish and comfortable room and the fantastic staff, including Francis and Cathy . It really is a special place that comes to feel like it might be your very own! The food is wonderful, which can be unusual for in-house hotel kitchens, and we ate in several times as a result. Maison Polanka organised a full day temple tour for us with the delightful and knowledgeable guide Mr Kim Chour and our inimitable tuk tuk driver for the week, Mr Binthoun. Both were friendly and just great. All in all, it was a really good experience and a brilliant hotel - we hope to return ❤️ We would also like to give the Phare Circus a plug, a truly fun night out and a great cause!KHWAN BEACH RESORT: "Incredible location! Modern villas, great service"
"Just left a four day stay here and I must say that it was an incredible experience. You get what you pay for with money here, the villas are impeccable, spacious, well presented and team at Khwan were exceptionally accommodating! The location is beach facing, and if your villa is not beach facing then it's only a 20 second walk to a very peaceful, quiet bay! The town itself is full of activity, in particular the Thursday night market and also Romans restaurant ( both highlights) you can hire a moped for 200 thb around the corner and then you have easy access to the whole island! The staff at Kwhan made it all the more special however. They were so kind, and on the final day when I was struggling to manage the journey inland to the next destination they were super helpful in getting me there and making sure I was taken care of. I genuinely appreciated it! Overall, I would recommend staying here! Tiny bit more expansive than most but you do get a lot more for your buck x "Tugu Lombok: "Fantastic in every sense of the word"
"Small (37 rooms), quiet, deluxe hotel on pristine white beach. The rooms are in villas and bungalows dotted throughout the extensive, well-tended gardens, which are full of intriguing Indonesian artefacts. The gardens are also full of birds, bees and at night bats - fantastic. Amazing food and lovely staff who just can't do enough for the guests. You really are made to feel like personal guests - everyone knew our names! Great little bar - each public room has a theme and a story to be told. The Cocktail King makes fantastic cocktails; the beer and wine's good too. Our beachfront villa was large with a fantastic private pool. There was even a fishpond in the villa's front garden. The huge bed was really comfortable and the shower-room/bathroom was amazing. Useful touches include ample space for clothes, loads of towels, bathrobes and slippers. Really loved the place. Can't recommend it highly enough. Stayed March 2017"Inle Princess Resort: "Lovely hotel with very sweet staff"
Had a lovely, lovely few days here. Resort itself is quite small so very personal. Pool is nice, huts were nice, restaurant was very nice. All in all a great way to spend a few days. Can definitely recommend.Reverie Siam: "What a little gem of a place this is"
We heard good reports about this place and just had the weekend there. It was probably one of my nicest off the cuff getaways and just a 3 ½ hour drive from Chiangmai. Management is under the careful eye of Sebastian who is English and clearly makes sure that attention to detail is not missed. This property has been magnificently designed to give that period feel and look with close attention to not just the decor but the collection of antiques and artefacts which surround the property. The food and extensive choice of wines was just excellent and I must mention how pleasant and polite all of the staff were. Proof that a small family owned and operated property can be better than those big corporates. We highly recommend this hotel and are already looking forward to our return soon.Heritage Suites: "Really lovely"
"A fabulous boutique hotel with one of the nicest rooms/suites I have ever stayed in. The service was so friendly and yet not ingratiating. The pool setting was shaded by beautiful foliage. Food was really nice. Our whole stay was delightful."
