Noel Rodrigo’s Leopard Safaris: "Superb safari"
My family and I spent 3 nights recently at Noel’s camp and it was a fantastic experience. We saw no less than 4 leopard sightings, numerous elephants and lots of other species. Yala National Park is massive with a variety of terrain to keep things interesting. I would recommend going to the see the old Buddhist temple during your stay. The food at the camp was exceptional and the best local food we experienced during our trip. A few creepy crawlies around the tents, but don’t let that put you off. Our guide, Pasindu, was exceptional, informative and very friendly. The kids even got to plant their own tee , part of the sustainability programme at the camp. Thanks Noel to you and your team for a highly memorable experience! The Warner family (Shanghai)Satri House: "serene-gem-with asian art and antiques and large rooms among asian gardens"
This property is a gem. It is close enough to town to walk yet far enough to provide quiet in a hidden beautifully decorated (with art and antiques) colonial landmarked property. The service was sublime - and I wish I could have just stayed for a few more days - or moved in..... The pool is set among the gardens - and the rooms are large, clean, and the decor makes one feel as if you are staying in a prince's palace. This is the opposite of a large cold global branded hotel. Thank you to Satri House for a fantastic holiday.Villa Song: "Tranquil and luxurious"
We ended our Vietnam visit at the Villa Song Hotel. It was the perfect ending to a fascinating holiday. Saigon is an exhilarating, bustling city with challenges at every corner: motorbikes in swarms which do not respect pedestrian crossings. How wonderful, therefore, to be able to whisk into the very heart of District 1 by speedboat and to return the same way and thereafter relax by the river, sip a sunset cocktail and be pampered by the hotel staff who are so anxious to please. We were impressed with every aspect of this elegant hotel, particularly the salt-water swimming pool which is large and inviting. A big breakfast is served from 6am until 10pm! Such a brilliant idea. The rooms (we stayed in the Arts suite) are tastefully appointed with a complimentary mini-bar, fruit every day and a surprise sweet delight in the early evening. A stunningly beautiful hotel with stunningly beautiful and attentive staff.Rachamankha: "A perfect oasis in the city"
It is everything that all the positive reviews have been about. The perfect getaway for someone who needs a beautiful ambience, and oh so different from the cookie cutter chains with their flashy marble foyers and crystal chandeliers. Truly a boutique hotel. Small enough for personal service but large enough to provide all the comforts needed. A beautifully maintained garden, extremely tasteful. A credit to the owners who I gather live within the compound. Incidentally it is well located, within the old walled city. Highly recommended.Mathis Retreat: "Very relaxing stay – very good value for money"
"We stayed 4 nights in April with a 2 years old, it was our second stay and we enjoyed it again very much. Scenery and landscape of the hotel are just fantastic, the personalized service very enjoyable. Karine the Manager had great tour suggestions and recommended a very nice and competent guy. A special mention for the restaurant of the hotel (Terra cotta), where all the food there was very good every time (try the desserts!) and the service top level. Definitely a very good value for money. Stayed April 2017, traveled with family"David’s Kitchen: "Another beautiful evening"
The service is spectacular. Table presentation perfect. They could have served anything and one would have been happy. However the food they served was good - very good. Oh - back in Hong Kong planning next tripReverie Siam: "Lost Horizon"
We've stayed in Reverie Siam three times since it was opened a few years ago. Its elegant design, location, tranquil environment, excellent up keeping, great food, attention to details, caring staff... keep bringing us back to PAI. We also noticed improvements every time we returned there which indicated the owner's effort in making this a perfect resort.Flower Island: "Could have stayed forever"
What a wonderful stay we had on Flower Island! It was a bit of a trek to get there as we tried a cheaper option (hiring a bangka instead of opting for their speedboat which was quite pricey) but was a little adventure in itself and worth the effort once we arrived! Staff turned up on the beach to welcome us and we found out we were the only people staying on the island with 32 staff! Just an incredible experience. Beautiful cottage with a comfortable bed under a mosquito net. Hammock on our veranda. A lovely dining and bar area. Beautiful beach and free use of snorkelling equipment - we went out for a snorkel just off of the beach and saw loads of coral, fish and even a turtle! It's so dark and quiet at night and the stars are amazing!! The food was delicious - we are both quite picky eaters and could find something we really liked at each meal. The trip to the pearl farm was brilliant and so interesting. The staff were so attentive and friendly, they couldn't do enough for us. Wifi wasn't working when we were there and it was actually quiet nice for us to get away from that side of life for a while but I know might bother some people. Only drawback was that drinks were expensive for the Philippines, including water which is a little frustrating considering you are on an island and there isn't any other option of getting anything to drink. But the island really is paradise and what you pay isn't half of what the other off island resorts and is worth every penny. We were really sad to leave! Such an amazing experience to have our own private island for a few days!Mudanwan Villa: "A liberation of body and soul"
"Uncharted territory of southern minority spa, goose-screen road all the way south into County Road 199 Pingtung County Checheng, then passing to 199 A at 7.5k reach peony Bay villa, along the way through Sihjhongsi spa area, peony social events site Shihmen ancient battlefield, overlooking the surrounding mountainside peony reservoir from Shimen village, all the way beautiful panoramic view. It felt almost has to end, would like opposite! A quiet rustic journey was about to kick off an excellent spring water, mountain and sea delicious flavor ingredients presented, body and soul this liberation. "Tugu Malang: "Tempo Doeloe feeling"
The hotel is a mixture of luxury and history. The rooms give a feel of the "good" (only for the Dutch) colonial old times, with the hand hammered baths. And the whole atmosphere is the hotel is friendly and service minded. The for is excellent and the hotel itself has a fantastic mix of antiquities within its walls (Chinese (most), Dutch and Indonesian. It was a pleasure going to the rooms with my 17 year old daughter and see her recognize drawings and pictures of Kublai Kahn and Sun Yat Sen. Great hotel.
