Talabgaon Castle: "Very unique and relaxing"
"My family and I stayed at the castle for three nights and spent Christmas there this year. It was wonderful, and a great place to slow down in between more hectic Indian stops. We entirely enjoyed the brief camel wagon ride to a small and under-visited Indian village. A great stop in between crazy and hectic Jaipur. Breakfast on the terrace and dinner next to the fireplace on the cool December nights were charming. We even had a local music group perform for us on Christmas Eve. It will certainly be a highlight of our time in India. My son even tried the pool even as it was only 50° outside"The Hue House: "Incredible evening on a stormy night"
What a little gem of a rooftop restaurant. Our family of 4 really enjoyed the friendly and attentive service, delicious food and natures sound and light show. Highly recommended. The Hue House: "Excellent"
Good food and great service. We went there twice i.e. on the first day that we arrived Ho Chi Minh and on the last day that we left HCM city. Everything was just perfect!tugu malang: "Amazing and they know what GF means!"
Loved this place! Simply beautiful and charming! Every detail, every flower and candle was just perfect. The hotel is very clean and everybody is kind and helpful! We had dinner at the restaurant and I have to admit that I was a bit nervous telling them about my celiac disease and how they had to be careful! The menager himself discuss with me about what I could eat and how everything had to be done! I had an amazing dinner and a delicious breakfast!!! Rubby as well manage to treat us so well making us feel at home!!! Definetly a place to stay!!!Les Maisons Wat Kor: "Maison Wat Kor – Peaceful, beautiful, welcoming"
This is a small, simple hotel, where the emphasis is on the setting, the lake, the garden, the service rather than in-room facilities. The rooms are quite simple, but perfectly comfortable, with all the facilities you reasonably need, and mostly look over a wonderful little lake with waterlilies and all kinds of flowers. There is a small restaurant serving simple but beautifully prepared food, and offering three set breakfasts - all very well judged. The most notable thing, however, is the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff - they really make you feel as if you were in your own home. We cannot recommend if highly enough - we really didn't want to leave!Glenburn Tea Estate: "A piece of paradise"
"The Glenburn tea estate is in the most beautiful place on earth. On the first day we arrived to a warm welcome and I sat in our room looking over the tea gardens with the Himalayas rising majestically up in to the sky beyond I thought I had died and gone to heaven. Will and Faye were the perfect hosts and Parveez is the most enthusiastic person I have ever heard talk about tea. We learnt a great deal from him and can't wait to stock their delicious Darjeeling tea. We were looked after magnificently by all the staff, (especially Mandeep) and our guides were friendly and helpful and being local were a font of knowledge on all the wildlife and fauna and the ways of life for the people on the estate. We even joined in a game of 'Housey Housey'(Bingo) in the streets with the locals! Every evening we had supper around the large dinning table with the other guests and it was like a special dinner party. We met a wide variety of people from all corners of the globe and it was a lovely way to make new friends. It did not feel like a hotel but more like a home where you were always welcome and nothing was too much trouble. This is a hotel that everyone should have on their bucket list and I just hope we can return again one day."4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Beautiful location, serene back to nature"
"Tents on wooden decking sounds bizarre but it works. Beautiful location. Arrival (picked up by boat from a car park) felt a bit scary but once on the river we were swept away by the beauty of this place. Food, service, location all faultless. Tips: ignore what you read about wifi - there is none, be prepared for it and then you can just enjoy the peace. We were quite happy without wifi but the kids back home were a bit scared when we suddenly went radio silent for 4 days! Trip to the falls is further than you think but well worth it. Borrow canoes for free to paddle around the resort, up and down river. Swimming in the river - looks a bit dodgy as water looks brown but trust me it beats a swimming pool any day. No air con (well they are tents after all) so it did get a bit hot at times. 4 days is enough unless you are happy with your own company as there really isn't much to do once you've taken a canoe and visited the falls. My husband fished every day and caught nothing. The evening firefly trip (also free) is lovely. They call it their Christmas lights. Stunningly beautiful."Tugu Bali: "A Balinese beauty"
From the moment we were collected at the airport our holiday at Hotel Tugu Bali was perfection itself. The hotel and grounds are beautiful, a striking reception and lounge area greet you. When you step outside you are able to stroll through the tranquil and well established grounds full of plants and flowers and listen to the wonderful sounds of the sea and bird song. In addition to this, at every turn you will find a different and beautiful cultural artefact to intrigue you. Our suite, a Rejang suite was just as wonderful, with a sunken bath and spa area, a four poster bed and a wonderful garden and ocean view which provided us with a view of the sunset every evening. There is something magical about the whole place which brings a sense of relaxation and mindfulness. The staff add to the magical moments by their obvious pleasure in ensuring you are well cared for and happy as a guest, the flowers in the room, settings at breakfast and dinner which are personalised and the delicious meals can be eaten anywhere you choose, nothing is too much trouble. A good location adds to the whole experience and a perfect holiday.Tugu Bali: "Bali at its best"
"You are surrounded by fabulous art and exquisite architecture and that Balinese attention to every detail... Tugu is pricey but is a worthwhile splurge. The vibe is very colonial era, and the charm is for REAL (but, the wifi works fine too). When we needed proper Balinese formal attire to attend a religious ceremony (Melasti) on the beach, the staff lovingly suited us up in style... Tugu rocks it: Service ✔ Spa✔ Restaurant ✔ Beach ✔ Performances✔ The most beautiful room and bath tub ever✔ This is the real thing folks, this is what you come to Bali for. "David’s Kitchen: "Exceptional service & food"
We had a fantastic evening at David's kitchen. David personally welcomed us to his restaurant which was really nice and he was really interested in our family and remembered what we'd said. Great customer service.. The staff were all really knowledgeable about the menu and had the right balance between being helpful but also stepping back. We would highly recommend eating here.Travel Asia with Secret Retreats
