Tugu Bali: "Closest hotel to the beach"
This hotel was 5 stars with a 3 star price. Everything was perfect at this hotel. It was close to the beach (a 3 minute walk). Very clean, beautiful rooms. The staff went above and beyond. I had a sun burn and called the front desk to see if they had any aloe. What they did was track down an aloe plant and brought it to my room. It was amazing! I also loved the essential oil they had in our room and the hotel packaged up some for me to take home. They really wanted you to love your stay! The breakfasts were outstanding. I had the healthy yogurt bowls that were out of this world. Can't wait to visit again!Inle Princess Resort: "Beautiful and quiet lake site resort"
"We arrived at the resort by boat from Nyaung Shwe. Some 100 m from the hotel, motors are no longer allowed. A rower came on board and leg-paddled us to the jetty. This exemplifies the resort's emphasis on quiet and relaxation. Our cottages were on the lake. From the terrace, the sunsets were beautiful. Our room had binoculars provided for bird watching. A spa with a massage menu, bicycle rentals, and a swimming pool rounded out the offerings. Breakfast and dinner on a sundeck were tasty and included a sampling of local and Shan cuisine. I highly recommend the resort. Room Tip: Lakeside cottages were private and delightful."Cuca: "OMG"
Forget Bali, this will be one of the must eat places in Asia. Sous Chef William creates magic with his team - do try their Desserts, Cocktails besides the oh so amazing food.Villa Song Saigon: "Relaxing 2-night stay at boutique"
"We enjoyed our brief stay at VS. The staff was genuinely friendly and helpful. A bulleted summary: Pros: onsite spa (for such a small hotel), staff, number of guests/rooms, location away from congested and loud central HCMC, food, water taxi (albeit operating times), grounds Constructive feedback: elevator (4 stories), water taxi (limited to 9a-6p from hotel), buffet breakfast (ala carte portions large if want to sample multiple items)"Samanea Beach Resort: "Stylish comfort and understated luxury"
Everything about samanea exceeded expectations; the room was beautiful, extremely spacious, comfortable and clean and the staff were incredibly accommodating and friendly throughout our stay. The gardens in which the bungalows sit are beautifully cared for and create plenty of privacy and the pool and beachfront area are cool, tranquil and lush. Each bungalow has a different setting so if location is important to you then check where you are when booking. We spent four nights here and will certainly be returning when we come back to Kep. Couldn't recommend it highly enoughFlower Island: "Our favourite place in the Philippines"
"This is the perfect place for people like us - wanting to get slightly off the beaten path but with creature comforts such as good water pressure, comfy bed, good food...and most importantly, a beautiful beach with some of the best snorkelling right off the beach we have seen. (...) The snorkelling was incredible - such a beautiful, healthy reef with tons of fish. We were honestly snorkelling 3-4 times a day and it was always different. I am torn as I sort of don't want to tell too many people about this gem of a place but also want to share the experience as this is what we were looking for in the Philippines. Without a doubt the highlight of our trip in terms of places we stayed and we will absolutely go back. Thanks to all the lovely staff as well who made our stay so enjoyable."Locavore: "A.M.A.Z.I.N.G"
"It's just crazy how the guys and gals in the kitchen put together the meals. We enjoyed every single bite of our 7 course meal which turned out to be something around 16 courses! The drink pairing was perfectly fitting to the dishes. Service was nice and we had a great talk with the chefs while they were cooking since we were sitting at the kitchen bar, which was also an amazing experience. Thanks to the whole team and we are definitely coming back if we ever go to Bali again (and that might happen as well)"MesaStila Resort and Spa: "Amazing"
"very good place with amazing views and facilities. The resort crews were also very helpful and kind to support and assist us during our stay there. I stayed there as domestic guest and it was still worth to stay. Don't miss the coffee tour and local batik making!"The Island Lodge: "Perfect"
"We spent a few wonderful days here after a cruise on the Mekong. We received a warm welcome and brilliant service throughout. We took full advantage of the infinity pool and it was a great place to lounge and read beside. We cycled around the island and noticed that lots of weddings were being celebrated. Our stay coincided with New Years eve and we hugely enjoyed the special dinner served. Don't forget to ask the owner to tell you the story about the Opium related artefacts!"Cuisine Wat Damnak: "Delicious food and friendly service"
I was only my way to another restaurant but i stopped by and checked it out as i saw this on tripadvisor. While i was looking on my phone on the tripadvisor review, the owner came out and said i shouldnt be standing on the road as its dangerous. He invited me in to look at the menu and i decided to stay for dinner. There were two set menus with 5 or 6 course and they are very delicious and value for money (US 27/31). The duck pancake was particularly delicious. I asked to switch some dishes from the other menu and they were happy to accommodate. Wine was only US 4 per glass. Service was good and the decor was lovely. The owner will also come and present some fruit as well as chatting with you after your meal. Id have to pay more than US 100 a meal like this. Highly recommended.
