Glenburn Tea Estate: "Highly recommended"

Review by: CyanS | Source: Trip Advisor
"Beyond expectations..... loved this place, it was the highlight of our trip and wished we had stayed much longer. Great hosts, good homemade food (plus the tea) and one of the great hotel views of the world. In retrospect the drive to get there is nothing compared to Sikkim or Shimla and I would happily do it again even with a fear of heights. Recommend the Tea Tour, walk down to the river and the little on site shop for gifts.....now feel very guilty using tea bags. Would suggest coffee/tea making stuff in the room, did not feel right to ring late at night or early morning for it although we were told we could..."

Misool: "If it was possible to give Misool more than “5 Stars”, I would!"

Review by: John R | Source: Trip Advisor
"This was hands down our best vacation ever! Yes, the destination in itself is dreamlike and exclusively unique; however way beyond that is the amazing staff who work there who truly go above and beyond to make sure that guests have the most memorable experience ever. Assistant resort manager Sue regularly communicated with me via e-mail over a year prior to our trip constantly answering questions, and tailoring accommodations to suit our desires for our trip as well as coordinated many surprises for us when we arrived. Dive/Recreation manager Sabine worked out a schedule with me that provided an even distribution for time underwater and to engage in different tours & activities they offer at the resort. Sabine (a kick-@$$ photographer btw) even took personal time out of her day and assisted my wife and I with an anniversary photo shoot for us. The food at the resort is absolutely delicious. We did not have one bad meal there. The only thing remotely negative about the resort experience is that the ferry boat to get to Misool is a bit ""challenging""; however, in the grand scheme of things, it is a minor negative. My wife and I are fortunate to travel to many great destinations and while we entertain the thought of making return trips, we often decide to explore a new destination. However, after our experience at Misool which was without a doubt our best vacation ever, we are definitely going to be planning a return trip in the future! If you enjoy diving, snorkeling, remote solitude, tranquility, and the most delicious meals, I highly recommend taking the journey to experience this fabulous luxury eco-resort."

Reverie Siam: "Stylish and peaceful resort"

Review by: Keithbz | Source: Trip Advisor
"Thoughtfully landscaped and stylishly decorated this is a lovely place to stay. Not too far out of Pai town (they can provide transport), but far enough that you are not run down by some crazy backpacker learning to drive a motorbike. The restaurant food is delicious, especially the a la carte breakfast. (no fighting for the buffet). Khun Dee (the maître d) and staff are most welcoming. They have live music in the restaurant and at the bar beside the river. Altogether a relaxing treat."

Tugu Lombok: "A little bit of paradise"

Review by: Valproct | Source: Trip Advisor
"We have just had a 4 night break at this lovely Hotel. It has all of the wow factors and the staff treated us like royalty. It is a wonderful place to have a peaceful break away from the stress of work or city life and highly recommended. A word of warning about travelling to Lombok. Try and get a direct flight. We travelled from Singapore via Jakarta and had to change terminals which was a nightmare. We were given conflicting information about baggage and terminal numbers, which was all very stressful. "

Rachamankha: "Highly Recommended"

Very lovely and well run small boutique hotel. Enjoyable breakfast, comfortable pool and well located within old Chiangmai. Also, we had an online Agoda rate that made the quality/value ratio excellent ($160 all in).

Villa Song Saigon: "Oasis in Saigon"

The quiet and classic getaway away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The rooms which went from a nice boutique style upscale luxury standard to a luxurious design and feel with beautiful furniture, original artwork, and excellent service

Misool Eco Resort: "Beyond beautiful"

Review by: CapeMayMarsha | Source: Trip Advisor
"As a long time diver in the Caribbean and the Great Barrier Reef, I was amazed at the diversity and abundance of the: soft and hard corals, the fish, sharks, nudibranchs, clams, starfish, mantas etc at Misool. The colors are amazing. I had to remind myself that the reefs were real and not computer generated. Everywhere you looked there was a different coral and an unfamiliar fish/animal. We stayed in a Water Cottage built above the water on stilts. Each night we slept to the sound of water rippling against the pilings, in a very comfortable king size bed surrounded by a canopy of mosquito netting. There were few mosquitos near us though others reported some. Food is abundant, delicious, amazingly varied and served family style so you get to know everyone there. You walk along boardwalks surrounded by flowers to diving, presentations and the dining area. We felt pampered our entire time at Misool, by the diving staff, the kitchen and wait staff, house staff, the management and the astounding beauty of the place. Equally impressive is the work the owners of Misool do protecting the reefs, providing jobs / job training and education to the community. The beauty and health of the reefs at and around Misool is do in large part because of the work that Misool does in protecting the reef with it's ""no take"" zone, employing local men to patrol and monitor fishing, as well as the recycling programs that keep the waters clean and also teach the children about the value of their ocean. Misool is a very special place, most of the people who were diving with us were returning because they love it. We also hope to return."

Cuisine Wat Damnak: "Special dinner at a special place. You’ll need a reservation"

Review by: exploringHC | Source: Trip Advisor
"No need to consider twice. Make sure you make a reservation, and go. 6-course trail of amazingness and a great selection of drinks (we had wine for this visit, but the cocktail menu also seemed fantastic). The vibe is cozy/intimate, with some personal touch of the owners. Two thumbs up!"

The Apsara Rive Droite: "Start and end your day with a boat ride, what could be better"

Review by: PHWalker | Source: Trip advisor
Stayed here with friends for a business meeting and leisure trip last September. What a find! Perfectly located a short boat ride (1 minute) across the Nam Khan river from old town Luang Prabang with river views from the rooms, this is a really charming property offering all you need for a great Luang Prabang stay. By the way, it is owned by the owner of The Apsara (a hotel/restaurant) which is on the opposite side of the river and has just the best dining for authentic, and delicious Luang Prabang cuisine...not to be missed! I cannot fault my stay at the Apsara Rive Droite. The room was a highlight - big airy rooms tastefully and purposefully decorated (loved the coffee percolator with local fresh ground coffee), big balcony to sit and enjoy the peaceful river scene below, and super comfortable big bed (a lot of bigs there for a boutique hotel!...who says size isn't everything, you cannot beat a nice spacious room and bathroom). But the top highlight for me at Rive Droite was the staff, from the owner to the boatman (yes the Rive Droite boat is on call at all times and just part of the service for their guests) warm, friendly and always ready with a tip on how to get the best from your stay from recommending me a bicycle ride to sourcing some Luang Prabang sausage for me to take home, it really was like staying amongst friends. I have to say, there really cannot be a better way to start and end any day than a slow boat ride across a lazy river...
