Arumdalu Private Resort: "The ultimate Belitung experience that brings nature with a minimalistic approach"
Starting from the room, the place was definitely designed towards honeymoon couples. The overall interior gives a wide open feel. Both Bedroom and bathroom are designed to have little partition, giving the guest more space. I really love how the nature is combined with the resort, the walking distance to the beach and the rocks are just perfectly calculated. It also has a high end dining quality, the menus are very creative, making every meal a notable accent to the whole stay.4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "A fantastic place to stay-"
"It was the best place we stayed in Cambodia. The tents were fantastic with at nice living room and a perfect bathroom. The staff was excellent and did all r´they could to make our stay memorable. The arrange fantastic tours with nice guides, The food was excellent, and they come arround to take our orders in advance, so the food is ready when we get to the restaurant,"Villa Song Saigon: "Amazing Stay and Service"
"We had a magnificent stay at Villa Song! I would totally return to this property and would recommend it highly. The staff was so accommodating and could not do enough for us! The chef, Kevin, was amazing and the food was superb! Everything was perfect from our check-in (loved the watermelon juice, so refreshing after a hot taxi ride from the airport), wait staff, porters, housekeeping, etc! I hope I have the opportunity to return to Villa Song one day! Job well done, you should be proud!"Neeleshwar Hermitage: "A resort well deserving a mention on trip advisor"
"Excellent staff lead by a very competent manager who made an effort to speak to guests at breakfast. It gave an opportunity to voice any outstanding issues in person( not that there was any ) Fine breakfast esp Indian food. Appam (indian pancake ) was made on request. Rooms were very clean well looked after . Every evening the room was turned over , mosquito coils set up and water and a bottle of local drink provided. The ambience was of a rural setting with soft lighting to guide us at night to our cottages. Tastefully decorated to a high standard. The landscaping was very appealing. Fine clean clear blue open air swimming pool that was just right for cooling off and swimming. The waiter service was infallible . Very polite English speaking staff made it all the more delightful. Very good avurvedic treatment with in house doctor for advise. In house tailor who can complete a shirt in lass than 24 hrs. Security was good day and night as I found out when walking alone by the beach. Crows are regular visitors at breakfast time and by the swimming pool. But well kept out the guests tables by a very astute guard who used a special technique to scare them away without any harm . The sandy beach is very hot to sun bathe . The sea water is a little unclear but warm and safe to swim. Sometimes the waves can be bigger than usual and hotel uses coloured flags to inform the safety condition of sea to guests. A few go to swim as most stay by the pool. This is a hotel worth a visit . Recommend at least a week for peace and sanity ! Room Tip: Facing the sea single cottage"Glenburn Tea Estate: "Relaxing Peaceful Stay"
"A beautiful place under the shadows of Darjeeling and majestic view of Towering Kanchanjenga. Located on a ridge surrounded by tea plantation. Spacious accommodation with large rooms beautifully decorated with cultural paintings. Food is excellent with menu different every day. That whole staff is courteous and ever smiling. Plenty of activities which can be arranged by the management if you want to keep yourself occupied. Otherwise, relax and read a book under a tree, listening to chirping birds which are quite in number. Except for the approach road the place is ideal for people looking for serenity from the hustle bustle of city life. Hospitality covers all the little difficulties if one feels. I am surely recommending to all my friends and relatives. Experience worth it. Jemima keep up the good work and all the best to your staff for taking care of us. Stayed April 2017, traveled with family"MesaStila: "Outstanding Resort and Staff"
"We stayed at MesaStila for 4 nights and it was overall outstanding, with two small let downs (at of the review). The staff are excellent, probably the most helpful and friendly that we've encountered anywhere. They really made use feel comfortable and welcome. The hotel and grounds are beautiful and well maintained, the entire time we were in the resort we felt at peace and a sense of wonder from the ambience. The resort has great complimentary activities in-resort, and we tried many of them and enjoyed them all. The coffee plantation tour was particularly interesting. The food in the restaurant was fantastic, we each tried different food from the Indonesian section of the menu and enjoyed everything we had. The issues we had were the airport transfer and the hotel organised excursions. Both were significantly overpriced. The airport transfer was about 300,000 IDR more than it would have cost us to organise ourselves, but we decided to use it as we were staying for a special occasion and thought that for that price it would be a special service; it wasn't. We probably would have had better service going with a random taxi tout. Despite being sent by the hotel the driver did not seem to know where the hotel was. Looking at the excursions you could book through the hotel, we found them overpriced. We organised an excursion ourselves to Borobudur and Prambanan together and our driver was excellent. Everything included it was about 1 million IDR cheaper than it would have been to take the hotel organised excursion that went to Borobudur ALONE. What was especially bothersome about this, was we spoke to some other hotel guests who were wondering whether visiting Borobudur was worth what the hotel was charging. Given how impressive Borobudur is, I think it's a shame that visitors might not get the opportunity to visit simply because of overcharging. Having said all that, if you stay at MesaStila you won't regret it, it's a fantastic resort and the staff are outstanding. Staying there is worth every penny. Just organise your excursions and transfers yourself unless you want to pay through the nose."Supanniga Cruise: "One of the highlights of our trip"
This cruise exceeded our expectations. Its not the cheapest cruise on the river but the reward for paying a bit extra is a great service & six delicious courses of food that is personally delivered to your table with an accompanying description of the meal on offer. We loved the traditional with a modern twist, classy but funky vibe of the cruise all set against the stunning backdrop of the Chao Praya river at night. This was one of the highlights of our trip & will do it again next time in Bangkok.4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "best ever ressourcing"
"truly best ever cool place for the one looking for true nature, calm, meditation, relaxation and especially ressourcing. the whole staff is so nice and looking after you for the best from pick up service to satisfy as much as posible any of your needs Food is very fine considering this remote area with difficult supplies and in large portion to satisfy even big eaters, great wine list as well to enjoy !!!! Remarquable comfort of the tents surely hard to maintain in such surroundings Rare experience to be renewed for sure thanks again to everyone in 4 rivers for such experience and wonderfull stay"Mie Cafe: "Fabulous fusion food with a great chef"
Just like a true bistro gastro in Siem Reap, the chief cooks very nice and tasty dishes using local fresh ingredients, Khmer original recipes and a Mediterranean type of twist. The garden is nice and quiet for a lovely lunch and diner. Good selection of wine as well for a typical bistro meal. Long story short, hurry up to visit this place.Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "Beautiful, cared for property"
What a beautiful mansion and a fantastic guide. There are 3 tours a day (11am, 2:30pm and 3:30pm), which means the tour is busy (the only way to see the mansion) but also the guide knows exactly what she's talking about and is fantastic! Our guide, Pat, was super informative and also a lot of fun. It was also fantastic to see all the photos of the restoration work which they took great care over. Definitely worth a visit!
