Mrauk U Princess Resort: "Beautiful Mrauk Oo Princess Resort"
"The Princess Resort is a lovely place to simply unwind after sight seeing around Mrauk Oo. There is a pool, spa, walking areas and wonderful resturaunt. The property is quiet with lovely tropical flowers and the staff very attentive. It is accessible by boat, which when the tide is against you is a long ride. But, the scenery on the way is wonderful. It is about 45 miles from the main town of Sitwe, so somewhat remote. Room Tip: All the rooms are excellent"The Island Lodge: "Everything you need plus more"
"We stayed here as part of the Les Rives Mekong Delta two day tour and found the Island Lodge a wonderful experience . On arrival we were greeted by Michel and given a refreshing welcome drink .Our room looked over the pool and the river and was decorated in an airy tropical relaxed style . There were guidebooks and magazines on the desk which I thought was a nice touch , although we didn't have time to read them ! After a swim in the gorgeous pool , where we found towels and sun hats thoughtfully laid out , we headed downstairs for dinner .The bar area was lovely and the staff very polite and efficient . Our dinner was beautiful ( we had chosen from the menu on check-in ) , every mouthful was delicious . A lovely Beaujolais complimented the food beautifully . Breakfast next morning was from the a la carte menu and we were told we could have as much as we wanted . I would recommend the Eggs Benedict ... Checkout was smooth and efficient , I would have loved to stay longer ! Being a guest at the Island Lodge was a relaxing experience from start to finish. . Thank you to Michel and staff - we'd love to return one day . Stayed January 2017, traveled as a couple"Mathis Retreat: "Small and personal, out of the way of the hustle and bustle"
This small boutique hotel is just a short car ride away for the busy Ubud area. The service is impeccable from the minute you arrive. If you are interested in seeing the sites guided the hotel manager is happy to arrange a private guide. The rooms while nothing over the top fancy are quite large and have a wonderful view of the rice paddies that surround it and are very clean and well maintained. The infinity pool while we were there was quite cool but that is to be expected for November. The restaurant on site is an open air area with a roof, with a nice of the area. The menu while not large has excellent food choices which are all quite good. We did not have a bad meal here. Prices were reasonable for the restaurant, rooms and the spa facilities. There has been a change in ownership which was happening about the time we were staying there, my hope is that it has been a seamless change as it truly is a little piece of paradise. The River Resort: "Wonderful, relaxing time in a truly peaceful environment"
"We stayed in The River Resort for - unfortunately only - 1 night at the end of July. We were truly amazed by what this hotel has to offer. The welcome was gracious and we were upgraded from a ground floor room to an upper floor room without charge. The room itself was simply beautiful with a private balcony, massive comfortable bed and very stylish decor. We particularly liked the two showers available - one outside and one inside connected by a door. What an unexpected, amazing surprise! We used the hotels bikes for free to bike to Wat Phu. After an exhausting day outside the calm, relaxed atmosphere of the hotel was exactly what we needed. We had dinner at the restaurant overlooking the river and enjoyed the views of the sunset. The food served was excellent (try the Lao style pork neck!) and our waiter very attentive to our every need. Drinks were delicious as well. Prices are in USD for easier comparison. The breakfast the next morning was excellent also. The only minor complaint I have is that at nightfall there seems to be some sort of mechanism in place that emits really loud and high-pitched sounds (presumably to keep mosquitos away in an eco-friendly manner!). We would have chosen to have dinner an hour later if we had known about this feature. Nevertheless, we enjoyed our evening. We will definitely be returning to this amazing place and recommend a stay for anyone looking for some peace and quiet in this area."Satri House: "beautiful antique design"
Stayed few days in this beautiful hotel! The design is antique and it makes your stay special. Great service in the hotel, nice breakfast. 7 min from the night market/center, and free bicycle in the hotel make it faster. Highly recommended hotel in Luang PrabangTugu Lombok: "Paradise!"
We stayed here for 6 nights in December and had the best time of our lives. This place is amazing! The hotel and it's grounds are so beautiful. We stayed in one of the Amempang rooms and it was so luxurious and absolutely huge. I've never been anywhere like this before- it's absolute paradise. The staff are exceptional and all so happy, friendly, welcoming and eager to go the extra mile for you. My boyfriend proposed to me while we were here, and because he'd let them know what he was planning they set us up a private dinner in one of the beds on the beach and had it all decorated for us. When we went back to our room they had decorated that for us too! They had made animal arrangements out of the towels, lit candles in the bathroom and filled up the bath with water and flowers. They made our whole stay so special I can't thank them enough. We are coming back for our honeymoon! The Island Lodge: "Real vacations, not the usual awful business machine. De réelles vacances, pas une machine a’ touristes"
"We got bored to go to the vietnamese seaside for 20 years. Jam, crowd, noise,.... I decided to shoot to another direction within close range from HCMC, possibly with another type of landscape. We pinged on My Tho and the Island Lodge Resort. Very narrow road leading to a car parking. Good or bad news, cars cannot reach the resort. An electric golf cart picked us up. They had a room for driver at the car parking for cheap including a meal. We arrived in this green resort and got welcomed by the owner. Lobby and restaurant were nice, spacey and very well ventilated. We never felt too hot. Wind helped too. Decoration was simple but very nice with a family historical touch amd view on the Mekong. We went to our bungalow. Again, simple but very nice. Very green environment. Quite. No noisy tourists. Definitely another class of tourists. Human size. Nice pool, again, simple. Nice staff too. Very caring. And best of the best? The food. For 8USD you get what would be a “bread and butter” Beef carrot dish turned into a delicacy. We will back. No doubt about it. Stayed April 2017, traveled with family"talabgaon castle: "Family owned Castle in the Indian countryside"
A group of four friends on the way from Jaipur to Ranthambore stopped at this magical place. It was like stepping back into time, when life was slower, and more elegant. The hotel is the generations old great-house of a noble family from Jaipur, who also happen to be some of the best polo players in India! The grounds include a polo field, gorgeous pool, and lots of little paths that criss-cross the gardens. The family treats you like a guest and like a member of the family — while we were there we were treated to a beautiful supper on the grass in the late afternoon sun — magical! All the rooms have been renovated and have amazing marble floors and fabulous baths, each with its own unique series of nooks and windows with amazing views of the countryside. The little village that is just outside the gates of the castle is charming too. What a delightful contrast to all the business that is India. A great place to relax and experience life at an Indian family 'home.'MesaStila: "Amazing hotel lost in the middle of Java"
We loved this hotel. The garden is huge, quiet and luxurious, and you can walk around to check the coffee plantation. The views are amazing, especially from the swimming pool. The spa is super nice. We had great massages in a very relaxing room for two. The restaurant serves good food. The rooms are large, confortable and authentic. The staff is very nice (even if communication in English is not very easy with some of the staff). We woke up early in the morning to match the sunrise on the volcanos from the Mount Andung: it was crowdy with the locals being on holiday during this weekend but it added some fun to the experience. Same for Borobudur temples. Highly recommended.Satri House: "Excellent 4 day stay"
Lovely 4 day stay here in May 2017. We had a lovely twin rooms, which was very well maintained. The staff was very good and very good at organising tours, restaurants etc. Breakfast was very nice, as was dinner. Excellent spa as well.Travel Asia with Secret Retreats
