Tugu Lombok: "A place to unwind, forget the hustle and bustle……relax!"
"We wanted a place in the warm tropics with green gardens, a beach to comb, comfortable accommodation away from the madding crowd. Tugu ticked all our boxes and then some....the heart of Tugu most definitely is the wonderful compliment of staff. We were really made to feel most welcome, nothing was too much trouble for anyone....a very big thank you to you all. "Locavore: "A must-experience in Ubud"
My husband and I had a truly memorable dining experience at Locavore during our honeymoon to Bali just two weeks ago. Not only is the food incredible and service superb, but the local ingredients provide such an amazing introduction to the place, time and history of this part of the world. We enjoyed dinner at Locavore on our first night in town and it colored the entire trip. In fact, we loved it so much that we stopped in at The Rooster (their bar across the street) and Locavore To Go (their grab-and-go spot just a few doors down) over the next few days. Do not miss this spot on your trip. Worth every single penny.tugu malang: "A most wonderful hotel"
I can really recommend this hotel. Although only 25 years old it is built in the dutch colonial style. The staff are very attentive and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The food in the restaurant is excellent and cheap by english standards. The rooms are comfortable and perfectly adequate. Part of the hotel is a museum and the staff give an escorted tour. The is even the possibility of a cycle tour in the morning avoiding the traffic, This is the nicest hotel I have ever stayed at and I doubt if there is a better one in Malang. An extensive tea with indonesian delicacies is available free to all the guests.Cuca: "Loved it"
We visited Cuca as part of the Bali Food Safari tour for dessert and we loved it here! Each dish was divine, so fresh, colourful and delicately put together. The service was fantastic too. A must visit for anyone who loves delicious food!Noel Rodrigo’s Leopard Safaris: "Leopard safari"
"A fabulous 2 nights, expert rangers Noel and Sajith, amazing leopards and bird life, wonderful camp. The Sri Lankan food was the best we had in our two weeks so we can highly recommend. Stayed in a basic double tent the first night Absolutely all you need but the AC double on our last night was a complete treat, beautifully hand made furniture. Will not forget the sounds of wildlife all around Jo and Damian Stayed February 2017, traveled as a couple"MesaStila: "Exquisite Gem"
This is the perfect place to relax and unwind from the busy city life. Surrounded by beautiful views of the mountains and the forests and ricefields and plantation. The public areas are very well appointed, having taken pains to fill the clubhouse and the bar/lounge with vintage, period pieces. The staff is always helpful and polite. Excellent service by everyone. We even had a private tour of the coffee plantation where we were introduced to the flora and fauna of the place, the organic garden, the coffee area and once more given traditional snacks and more coffee and jamu. One can spend an entire day just lounging by the infinity pool by the jungle. Or playing billiards in the lounge. Or walking around the extensive estate. The spa/hamman facilities and menu are also top-notch. I can't say enough good things about the place. It is a very, very gracious place full of hospitality, warmth and the beauty of nature.Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "Top Class Place to Stay"
Stunning hotel. Nothing is too much trouble. Beautifully clean, wonderful food. If you have a bird watching tour ask for Hari, he's an expert and a wonderful guide. We stayed in room 13 which was the lodge Princess Anne stayed in when she visited and we loved it.Glenburn Tea Estate: "A hidden gem not to be missed"
A stay at the Glenburn tea estate is a truly unforgettable experience and we loved every minute of it. Whichever way you look from the delightful gardens or from either of the beautiful bungalows there is a wonderful vista, even when the mountains are shrouded in mist. Unfortunately for us, the weather was not at its best when we stayed in late March/early April, but we were lucky enough to be there for 5 nights and so we at least had 2 fabulous mornings when we were treated to the breathtaking views of the Kanchenjunga mountain range from the comfort of our room. Our room (Camelia) was fabulously spacious and beautifully decorated in English country house style with a lovely seating area, and French doors onto a small balcony with magnificent views. The bathroom was enormous with roll top bath and huge walk in shower. We did not see any of the other rooms but all other guests seemed just as impressed with theirs, and we gather the views are wonderful from each and every room. The food was delicious with an imaginative and varied menu and, despite initial reservations, we really rather enjoyed the communal dining in the evening. It was very interesting to meet such a variety of people from all over the world. I think perhaps my husband was a little bored on the last evening being the only man at a dining table full of rather verbose women! There was plenty to keep us amused during our 5 night stay with a visit to the tea factory, walks around the estate looking at the flowers, birds and butterflies, a lovely (though quite tiring) hike to the river camp with a tasty meal when we arrived, and a day trip into Darjeeling. We could have done a lot more but, after the hustle and bustle of Kolkata, and because the gardens were so idyllic, we relished in the opportunity to relax, reading, chatting, playing cards and drinking plenty of Glenburn First Flush tea! All of the staff were friendly, helpful and efficient, and hats off to the multi-talented Nilima and Luna for being such lovely and well-informed guides, but also for running the shop and helping with the organisation of the staff welfare programme, amongst a multitude of other skills. A very big thank you to Jemima, Holly and all the staff for a truly memorable and delightful stay........ We hope we will return one day.The Village House: "LOVE IT!"
Very romantic and relaxing place. I love the ambience of that place. Staff was very friendly. The place is very isolated and hard to find in the first place. But overall everything was fine and i would love to visit again in the future :)Maduzi Hotel: "Spacious & wonderful hotel in e midst of a busy city"
This hotel room is huge beyond imagination. I had a free upgrade to corner suite. The mini bar was free. There was a huge bath tub with the water coming down from the ceiling. The width of the bed was about 2 meters and it was super comfortable and soft. Service was great and efficient. Furniture is a little damaged here and there but it is negligible. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay.
