The Cabochon Hotel: "Exceptional hotel"

Review by: Georgia G | Source: Trip Advisor
Beautiful hotel - lovely furnishings and stylish rooms. The staff were extremely helpful, spoke good English and upgraded us for free! Food also great - free breakfast was good (lots of choice) and the lunch we had was also delicious.

Arumdalu Private Resort: "A great escape, yet conserving nature as well!"

Review by: Dio S | Source: Trip Advisor
A large sized room designed with combination of modern-indonesian style. Environment is nice and well preserved. Air temperature is suprisingly quite cool, unlike the other beaches in common. Oh, Don't forget the food, the chef has an ultimate way to satisfy your gastronomic needs! Recommended place to stay.

Maison Polanka: "Way Beyond What We Expected"

Review by: sancelestino | Source: Trip Advisor
We are swept off our feet with the warm reception given us at this beautiful property. We had a perfect stay and we are certainly coming back. We have been to Angkor/Siem Reap before and we were quite particular that this trip would not be a standard Angkor visit. The maison and their staff were very sensitive to our preferences and made every effort to make us feel truly at home.

Le Du Wine Bar & Restaurant: "Hard to find, worth the search"

Review by: PaulSmithiii | Source: Trip Advisor
"The restaurant space is clean, comfortable and a bit minimalist in design. The food is creative an superb. We like to select wines that do not typically appear on wine lists and we chose a glass of Cremant de Jura to start. Dishes of note included large river prawns with pork belly jam and shrimp paste, an incredible sous-vide pork jawl and an aged beef tenderloin. We finshed by sharing a duck egg custard with rice powder. All presented as creative interpetations and generally suggestive Thai flavors. Chef Ton oversees all and appeared to inspect every dish before they went to the table. Despite his resume, Chef Ton is quite young and should be heard from in the future. A tip to find Le Du if you go: when you turn off Silom Road onto Silom 7 Alley go to the end of the alley, to the T and you will find Le Du on the kleft."

MesaStila: "Must-stay resort in Central Java"

Review by: Niko P | Source: Trip Advisor
The title says it all: if you travel in, or through, Central Java, you must stay in MesaStila. The resort is beautifully set in a historic coffee plantation in Java's highlands. Expect complete tranquility and Javanese hospitality. The villas are set along gentle slopes within the plantation and nature is never more than a few meters away. The villas have been carefully (re) built in local style and are quite spacious. The various common areas are spread across the property and make for a spacious, tranquil ambiance. Service is highly attentive and yet not intrusive. Last but not least, don't miss out on the spa!

Tugu Bali: "Unforgetable wedding ceremony"

Review by: Magdalena D | Source: Trip Advisor
Absolutely amazing place with very helpful and polite staff. Thanks to the manager And my dear friend who organized it I had the best small and informal wedding ceremony that I could ever stean of. Eventough It's pred expensive It's definitely worth the visit at least for the ambience and very nice appetizers.

David’s Kitchen: "Excellent food, reasonable prices"

Review by: programmer437 | Source: Trip Advisor
"I went on a date here with my (now) fiancee. I have to applaud David's kitchen for its flexibility in food and service - the clientele is a mix of thai nationals, Americans, Australians, Europeans, etc - yet the wait staff seem to be experts at responding to every inquiry. I had a food allergy (can't eat oats), and the wait staff was fast to swap out the bread for us. My fiancee was not a fan of her first soup order, and the staff exchanged it at no cost for another soup, which she liked much more. The actual food I would place at slightly above average. I ordered the strip steak. I can say I've had better steaks in America or Japan, but they were also more expensive. One dish doesn't make a restaurant, though - everything else was five stars: The truffle sauce was perfect. The appetizers were perfect. The chocolate lava cake was absolutely amazing. The cocktails were flawless. A mix of Thai friendliness and western elegance, this is a must for any traveler in Chiang Mai."

Locavore: "Spectacular"

Review by: ian p | Source: Trip Advisor
This restaurant has lots of great reviews so we went with high expectations. We had the 5 course meal however there were about 4 little courses before that even started. The presentation on different rocks is spectacular and the food matches it. Not cheap but the whole experience is worth it

Heritage Suites Hotel: "Well appointed boutique hotel"

Review by: Beanieskis | Source: Trip Advisor
"In recent years big group tourism has really taken off in Siem Reap but staying in this boutique hotel enabled us to get away from the coaches and tour groups. Our room was big and well equipped. We stayed over Christmas and our package included a gala dinner by the pool on Christmas Eve with local dance display and a jazz singer. The food was excellent. The pick up from the airport in the vintage Mercedes was fun, but if not included with your package it's 5 times the price of a normal car."

Villa Song Saigon: "Elegant throughout"

Review by: A TripAdvisor Member | Source: Trip Advisor
We stayed at the villa song hotel for two nights. It's a beautiful boutique hotel with tasteful decorations and outfits. We enjoyed the pool area very much. Service was excellent and staff were attentive. Breakfast was okay. The pho we had was too soft though but the food quality is still pretty nice overall. The only thing is we won't recommend it if you travel with elderly and young children. We got in at 3am with two young kids; they cried for bath and people next door were banging on the divided door complaining about our noise which we had hard time to control. One other minor complaint is the smell of the hotel. The sewage system of the pool area isn't designed well enough that from time to time there's off putting smell coming from the fence area. If they could fix that, the place is really a gem for couples!
