Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "Exquisite mountain lodge situated 1000 feet above Pokhara Valley"
Stayed two nights at this marvelous mountain lodge that sits on a hilltop ridge overlooking the Pokhara Valley. Your "room" is actually a very spacious, luxurious, comfortable, hand cut stone bungalow blending naturally into their surroundings and sited to maximize the breathtaking vistas of the valley and Himalayas mountains. Each room has a private verandah and set in private gardens. There is an infinity pool with unmatched views of the mountains. The main lodge with both in and outdoor dining facilities and patios to enjoy the valley and mountain views is very, very nice. Our first night there were just three couples and we enjoyed a lively discussion over dinner. The second night had a large group of 19 guests which didn't "take over the space" since the bungalows are spread out and all very private. Most enjoyable stay here after our three days of trekking. Great place to begin your trekking experience or to recuperate afterwards. Most relaxing and the restaurant offerings are top notch, as is the staff and the manager, Mark. Thank you for a wonderful stay! The Island Lodge: "Peaceful visit"
We stayed here after a day on the Mekong Delta. The staff are really attentive and go out of their way to welcome you and look after you while you are there. The pool is brilliant, the gardens are exquisite and we really enjoyed the beautiful French food.Maison Polanka: "A little slice of paradise"
Tucked away down a maze of non-descipt unpaved lane, the gates open, and you are in a little slice of paradise. A garden you can tell has been tended for with love and care. Traditional wooded huts on stilts that house 5 rooms. Each room is different, spacious, simple and tasteful decor. We stayed 4 nights in the Yellow Room and loved it: it's at the far end, so very quiet. Loved the lemongrass essence burning when we checked in. Windows looking out to greenery. Bed is very comfortable. The bathrooom is spacious and bright with very high ceiling and a skylight. There is a smallish but beautiful pool, we had a swim every day after a morning's sight-seeing, then lunch at the pool side restaurant. The food is delicious: my first taste of Cambodian, a bit like Thai and Vietnamese, but more delicate flavours. Dinner at the pool side is wonderful, quiet, great food, great wine, very attentive service. There is a dog, a rabbit, a cat...Don't stay in a run-of-the-mill 5 star chain, I warmly recommend Maison Polanka, it's a stay you will remembertugu lombok: "A slice of tropical paradise"
"In a 3-week adventure around Bali and Lombok, the Tugu Lombok was our absolute favourite place that we stayed, hands down. The resort is stunning, the grounds are impeccable, the rooms are extraordinarily beautiful. The beach is white sand and turquoise waters. Every meal we ate (in both restaurants) was absolutely delicious. The breakfast spread is fantastic (with a particularly amazing fruit plate) and the assortment of snorkelling equipment, kayaks, and stand-up paddleboards is a great way to pass afternoons on the water. Things are laid out so that you never feel crowded. But by far the best thing about Tugu Lombok is the staff. Everyone, from Sharon, the GM, and Henry, her right hand man, to the spectacular restaurant staff, spa team, housekeeping staff, and security, were the epitome of hospitality. The staff are professional, knowledgeable, and polite, and everything they do is heartfelt and done with a smile. They anticipated our every need before we even expressed them and made us feel enormously welcome during our entire stay. We can't recommend this spot enough to anyone travelling to Lombok (and even if you're not, you might want to change your plans to include the Tugu). One small note on rooms - we had read through previous TripAdvisor reviews and decided to take the overwhelmingly consistent advice to splurge on a Bhagavat Gita suite and we were completely blown away by the beauty and design of these extraordinary villas. "Maduzi Hotel: "Amazing"
I stayed 3 nights at the Maduzi hotel and it was an incredible experience. The silk sheets are unlike anything I have ever slept on and alone are worth staying here. Bangkok is always steamy hot and the AC cooled the sheets making the room all the more appealing after a day in the sun. The hotel is conveniently located to the train and abundant restaurants and pubs (though the restaurant serves fantastic food so if you're tired there's absolutely no need to venture out). The Maduzi is the quintessential boutique hotel with a staff that is unfailingly pleasant and helpful. The mini-bar is free and plentiful water is provided upon request. I would definitely recommend staying here and look forward to returning to the Maduzi. PS - if you need anything during your stay Nui is THE MAN.Golden Buddha Beach Resort: "Our happy place"
"We have spent 6 days at Golden Buddha in December 2015 and it has been one of the best Holiday experiences so far. The location is fantastic, the staff and the management are very friendly and the whole atmosphere is very familiar and relaxed. Food, drinks and services (e.g. Thai Massage) are great and our Baan was also stunning. Hopefully we can come back one day."Manukan Island Resort: "Wunderbar"
"Die Übernachtungen in der Hill Villa 12 waren wunderbar. Sehr gepflegte luxuriöse Appartments. Großzügige Raumgestaltung, wunderbare Aussicht, Top Personal!!!! Terrasse, Patio und Balkon mit Meerblick über Palmen und den sehr gepflegten Privatstrand. Das Personal erfüllt das Begehr des Kunden noch bevor der Kunde das Begehr begehrt:-) Jederzeit gerne wieder! Ein Traum!!"Chakrabongse Villas: "Off the Scale !"
We arrived in Bangkok with a few hours to discover the city and enjoy the hotel. Wow - there are not enough words except to say Thank you Paul Walker at Secret - Retreats - what a place and what an amazing hotel. This is not a hotel its an experience and without doubt the best place to stay in Bangkok ! A royal palace with a difference, ooozing style, charm and service you cannot ask for anything better ! Thank you xxxsatrin house: "Beautiful hotel, Great service"
"We've stayed in a suite room for 4 nights here, and this was the main reason for our happy trip in Luangprabang. Everything is great here, great room, great service, great breakfast. It's a good place to chill and let time stop. The only minor draw back is the hotel quite far to walk from walking street (2-3km) even though hotel has a free bicycle for guests to use. I've tried once and found that cars in Luangprabang driving rather hectic (ps. I'm not a good cycling person either). The better choice is to take tuk tuk which was cost 20,000 KIP (sometimes driver called for 30,000 KIP) for one way. "Rachamankha: "Such a beautiful and a tranquil place to stay"
"Stayed in this beautiful hotel this week and had a perfect family vacation. A definite 'must stay' if you want a peaceful and quiet place to go back to after your afternoon shopping and activities. Love their no small kids policy. All the staff greeted you with a smile every single time. Although one of the restaurant's waiter is always 'moody'. The hotel is just 5 minutes walk to all the shops, massage spas, various temples, including 'Wat Phra Singh', Tha Phae Gate, 10-15 mins walk to Saturday night market and 5 mins walk to the Sunday night market. Oh, you MUST spend at least 1 full weekend, ie Saturday and Sunday, in Chiang Mai to enjoy the weekend night markets. What else could you ask for? Just love the place.
