Rahai’i Pangun: "Great crew!"

"This was my first time traveling alone, and I wasn't sure what to expect when I arrived for this portion. But I absolutely loved it. The crew was great, the guide Tri was fantastic, and the trip itself was so relaxing and interesting. We saw many orangutans in the forest (including a baby!), visited Dayak villages, and had delicious meals three times a day- and that's coming from someone who considers herself a picky eater. I absolutely recommend this tour group (and especially the boat and staff I had). I'd also suggest you go while you can- you could see gold prospecting in quite a few spots. In order for them to get at the gold, they need to burn the forest down. It also leaves large mounds of white sand along the river. It's very sad, but perhaps with an up-tick in tourism, there will be a greater push for putting a stop to this? I'd like to add while it was disturbing to see, it did not make the trip less enjoyable. Rather, it just makes me want to get more involved."

Misool Eco Resort: "Little paradise resort"

The place is close to a lot of very nice diving spots. Staff is nice and friendly, food is good and the overall atmosphere will make your trip unique. Highly recommended. The trip is long but it's worth!

Inle Princess Resort: "Go on, splurge,on the lake villa!"

"Immediately, the door opened and I was speechless, the huge windows made me feel like I was floating on the lake itself...simply stunning. The complimentary mini bar was a pleasant added touch as I sat back on my private balcony to watch the sunset. The room was immaculate and spacious. The bathroom complete with outdoor shower was clean and well equipped. The resort is in a secluded corner of the lake and you really did feel like you were far away from the hustle and bustle of the jetty town. The boats themselves must switch off their engines before approaching the resort which makes for a charming introduction to the brilliant foot steering of the local boatmen. Breakfast was made to order and the food generally was of a high standard. I loved seeing the two Burmese cats making themselves at home in this little piece of paradise. Inle Lake was really one of the highlights of my trip, in fact, I could have spent a few extra days here just enjoying the lake life. Trekking on the furthest reaches of the lake would be on my to do list when I return."

Tugu Lombok: "Peaceful and wonderful view"

"I was there 2 weeks ago for arranging dinner for the high level event. we couldn't stay there since the capacity of the rooms are not enough for all the participant. This hotel is proper location for those whose expecting peaceful environment. The food were delicious, the staff were so nice. And the facility was quite complete. At night, the lighting of the roof was so amazing, on the first sight I though it was cumulus. No it's because of the lighting to the statue on the roof."

Mume: "A modern take on local flavours"

After soup dumplings galore and night market snacks Mume offered a fine dining version of Taiwanese flavours and it was nice to experience the variety. The setting is sleek and minimalist but the service is warm and welcoming. We sampled a range of dishes from the menu which offers snacks, small and big plates including oysters, warm sourdough, potato with Taiwanese bacon, Ox tongue and crispy Amadi. I normally ignore dessert but they were intriguing and lighter with peach sorbet and crispy almonds and cucumber yoghurt mousse. Totally deserving of all the positive reviews. We would definitely recommend.

The Cabochon Hotel and Residence: "Chic Boutique."

Lovely eight room residence. Staff super helpful and friendly. Beautiful interior design. Easy access to Sky Train and the "cool" area of Thong Lo. Amazing shower. I would recommend a stay here. Roof top pool. Great fun and tonics in the evening with an excellent array of find to chose from.

INLE PRINCESS RESORT: "what a wonderful place"

"The Hotel is Magic. We were picked up by a boat and slowly brought into this paradise. The room was fantastic, the Food and Drinks to match. We were so happy there that we decided to Skip a few temples to be able to enjoy this resort. The sunset on the terrace with a drink is fabulous. "

Inle Heritage Stilt Houses: "Just perfect!"

"Ne changez rien, vous êtes parfait. Du début à la fin! Une belle découverte mais il faut l'apprécier. Voilà un hôtel (atteignable uniquement en bareau) à la hauteur de ses notes sur Tripadvisor! Magnifique. Six chambres seulement dans un écrin de verdure priviligié, toutes montées sur pilotis avec un standing supérieur! Les chambres sont (très!) grandes et ce sont en fait des bungalows indépendants qui vous mettent déjà le voisin à distance. La décoration est de bon goût et le confort est de mise. Un coin salon avec canapé et table basse et un grand lit disposant d'une bonne literie. En outre, durant les périodes fraiches, chauffage à disposition et bouillottes installées durant le repas dans nos lits! Excellent. La salle de bain est jolie et dispose d'une douche italienne. WC séparés. Une jolie terrasse privative avec deux chaises longues nous invitent à profiter du coucher de soleil. Un safe se trouve dans la partie salle de bain. Pour les addicted, pas de TV! ce sont ça les vacances! Mais une bonne connection WIFI partout sur le site. A noter qu'il n'y a pas de mini-bar non plus. Le staff - grand nombre de personnes - est agréable et au petit soin. A noter que l'hôtel utilise une partie de sa structure comme école hôtelière (on les voit à peine). De plus, le staff de cuisine utilise de nombreux légumes cultivés sur place et qui sont utilisés dans nos repas. Le petit déjeuner est simple, frais et servi à table. Des produits sains. J'y ajoute la qualité des repas, des prix de plats et boissons corrects et un esprit très écologique, c'est simplement parfait. Je vous le recommande les yeux fermés. Cuisine Wat Damnak: "Didn’t know what to expect and had a memorable evening"

A relaxed environment, not at all pretentious. You can eat inside or out. This was booked way ahead, which we understand is necessary. Wonderful, imaginative food, served without fuss, but just attentive enough.

Noel Rodrigo’s Leopard Safaris: "Superb safari"

My family and I spent 3 nights recently at Noel’s camp and it was a fantastic experience. We saw no less than 4 leopard sightings, numerous elephants and lots of other species. Yala National Park is massive with a variety of terrain to keep things interesting. I would recommend going to the see the old Buddhist temple during your stay. The food at the camp was exceptional and the best local food we experienced during our trip. A few creepy crawlies around the tents, but don’t let that put you off. Our guide, Pasindu, was exceptional, informative and very friendly. The kids even got to plant their own tee , part of the sustainability programme at the camp.
