The Cabochon Hotel: "Excellent. A must stay while in Bangkok"
"This hotel is small yet feels luxurious. The rooms are very comfortable and have everything you need. The staff were a delight - helpful, informative and friendly. The food at breakfast and at dinner was excellent - delicious, adventurous and beautifully presented. The restaurant and breakfast room are a treasure trove of artefacts. The roof top pool is a wonderful touch with views that give you a very good feel for Bangkok. "Maison Polanka: "“Excellent – best service Experienced in SE Asia”"
We stayed three nights at maison polanka. We have lived 12 years in Thailand where the people are hospitable. However, the service we encountered at maidon polanka is unlike anything we have experienced. It feels like a home away from home. No detail is lacking and the fact that the hotel staff remember your name is notable. For those wishing a unique, Beautiful and u forgettable Experience to compliment your visit here, than maison polanka is a must!Rahai'i Pangun Wildlife River Cruises: "We had a super time on this river cruise — don’t miss it"
Great boat with plenty of room, great staff and trip leader and very interesting way to see orangutans. In addition to seeing these interesting animals, we also had two very interesting village tours and went to the BOSF foundation to learn more about their goal of saving as many orangutans and other endangered animals (and their habitats) as possible. We think this trip was the highlight of our trip to Borneo!Locavore: "Awesome"
We went on Wednesday night as my son had a booking but was unable to go.From the moment we arrived the service was exceptional we had the seven coarse menu ,plus complementary dishes at the start and finish. The dishes were full of amazing flavours and looked and tasted exceptional .It was the highlight of food we have had in bali and would highly recommend it as a must do experience, and thank you to all the staff for making it soCuca: "Special Anniversary Night"
We had the most amazing experience.Chefs Tasting Platter which consisted of nine of the most innovative dishes we have ever eaten. The attention to detail and outstanding service was second to none. The amount of Love and pride that goes into each dish, and explanation of the inspiration behind the creation is truly unique. Our waitress Intan made our night truly special. Highly recommend , well worth a visit. Deserves its reputation as best restaurant in Bali.Mathis Retreat: "Lovely boutique hotel – perfect hideaway"
"I stayed here for a week and I miss it everyday! For the first part of the week, it was me and a girlfriend who came to Ubud to get away from the city, do a little exploring and do some yoga. We weren't sure if we wanted to stay in Ubud the whole time or go somewhere else in Bali, but after two nights, we extended our stay. One of our favourite things was having breakfast looking at out the private rice fields every morning, it was so relaxing. The pool had the perfect view. The hotel had a really good balance between a tranquil relaxed vibe, without being sleepy, and had some really good tunes throughout the day by the pool too (I ended up asking them for their playlist). The hotel was just a 10 minute scooter ride into town, which meant everything was really accessible without it being crazy all the time. My friend ended up going home early and I stayed on for an extra 2 days. The staff took such good care of me. And as a solo female traveler, safety is extremely important. They was so lovely and even taught me some Indonesian. The GM was super lovely and very hands on, she would come by and chat with the guests, without being intrusive. It was such a wonderful trip and the hotel was a huge part of it. Seriously, great rooms, great resto (really good food!), great view and great staff. I would definitely come back!"Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "Stunning"
What a joy it was to arrive at this serene, beautiful place. The staff looked after us to ensure our stay was as wonderful as it could be, nothing was too much trouble. The views are spectacular, it is just perfect in every way and i do so hope to return one day.Jings-residence: "An absolute pleasure in every way."
This boutique hotel has struck an exquisite balance between ancient and modern. The authentic courtyard building has retained its innate period charm, whilst they’ve managed to install some sort of genius plumbing/electrical system behind the scenes so that the facilities are absolutely up-to-date and reliable, with brilliant hot spa-like showers w/ plenty of pressure. The rooms are all different (in shape, size, and decor), supremely comfortable, and beautifully designed. Simple, elegant, traditional courtyard style with a touch of Indonesian influence I’d say. The rooms are laid out around a series of courtyards and lantern-lined stone corridors that make you feel like you’ve time travelled. A lovely, special place. I only wish I could find more places like Jing Residence in China! xxCuca: "Excellent food"
Tapas style food, full of flavor and amazing combinations. Excellent place to dine with family or friends with amazing service and excellent pricesTugu Lombok: "secluded paradise"
"We spent 7 nights at Hotel Tugu in an Aloon-Aloon villa. The place is wonderful. White sandy beach, spacious grounds and excellent food. This is not a large hotel by the nimber of rooms but the ""rooms"" are all quiet, spaced out dwellings. The aloon-aloon villas have their own small private garden but it was not needed the ground were so large you coud sit anywhere and be undisturbed. There were beds on the beach for quiet relaxation antd the sea was warm and shallow so very safe. The hotel is quite out of the way, about 2 hours from the airport, but once you get there there is no need to leave. Everything is qeitly understated. The rooms are decorated with local art and there are artifacts everwhere that seemed like they ought to be in a museum. Don't expect a trouser press and an airconditioned restaurant. You eat outside in a thatched roofed dining hall, just stunning. The atmosphere is so relaxing, no need to dress for dinner, just wash off the sunscreen and add a little insect repellant (probably not needed) and enjoy youselves. This is a special hotel but not if you want nightlife."
