Inle Princess Resort: "A Magical Place"

Review by: Fallsbiker | Source: Trip Advisor
From being "driven" into the hotel by a one-leg oarsman to enjoying the palacial dining room, this is a magical place. The contrast between life here, and the abject poverty in Myanmar fomented by years of dictatorship is instructive.

Arumdalu: "Resort with an awesome beach front"

Review by: TaroSg | Source: Treip Advisor
An amazing private Resort with wonderful personalized service where you can have a peaceful and quiet time. The beach was really clean with fine white sand and not forgetting the many instagrammable spots. Op for the private dome at Sahang Beachfront Resto for a wonderful dining experience where you will definitely get serenaded by the waves.

Villa Song Saigon: "Beautiful"

Review by: CambridgeMass | Source: Trip Advisor
This is a beautiful hotel! It is off the beaten path in a more residential area (large expat community) and we couldn't have loved that more. Being on the water was great, especially in a city that can be very congested. The area has lots of great restaurants. (If you want a nice dinner out, we had a great time at La Villa. For something more casual, the Mad House was great.) The hotel itself is beautiful and well maintained. (The first floor is somewhat of a garden level, perfect if you don't want to take any stairs, but the ceilings in our room there were low. We asked and were very promptly and graciously moved to a room on a higher level, which required taking a couple flights of stairs but was much more spacious. It really depends on what you are looking for, but if stairs aren't an issue, I would highly recommend requesting a room not on the first floor.) Breakfast is superb and the front desk is always eager to help. (They made reservations for us, called many taxis that all showed up very quickly, and even made arrangements for us to have an extra early breakfast the morning of our departure.) As others have mentioned there are stairs and no lift, so I would request a certain floor if you have a preference. Finally, they charge a lot for to pre-book transportation to and from the airport. Since the prices were so steep, we chose not to use it. Instead, we booked a pick up with another company. From the airport, it might be worth it to have them pick you up; it's very busy and chaotic. Returning to the airport, however, I would just get a cab. We just had them call a cab (they always call only certain brands of taxi) and it was $15 to go back to the airport.

Dewakan: "A culinary gem"

Review by: LLG2802 | Source: Trip Advisor
Heard about this place from friends n social media so decided to give it a try. Wow! Love love love. From the moment we walked in until we walked out, the experience was memorable. Food was excellent n service was top notch. Only setback is the distance. Truly a culinary gem.

Manda De Laos: "Romantic dinner by the pond"

Review by: BeenThereAlready_12 | Source: Trip Advisor
We stayed at Maison Dalabua (same property) and were lucky to get reservations the first night of our stay. Great food (Laotian with a French touch). Good cocktails and all at very moderate prices - maybe not for local standads (one can eat cheaper in town) but considering the quality of food very reasonably priced.

Sanak Retreat Bali: "Great bungalows in a splendid location"

Review by: fabriceetpaola | Source: Trip Advisor
We enjoyed a lot our stay in Sanak retreat Bali. The bunglaows have two floors and are ideal for families. The views are great anywhere from the hotel with a large and nice pool. The proposed hiking going to the waterfall is highly recommended with a very nice guide. Restaurant ok but not great. On the expensive side for Bali

Sanak Retreat Bali: "Retreat of all retreats"

Review by: FieldKitchenMgt | Source: Trip Advisor
"We actually stayed here in October 2015 and took the risk of heading up into the mountains to go see what we can find. We came across this special peace of Bali and could not have been happier. The location is stunning and the concept is magical. True Balinese warmth makes this retreat a little slice of heaven. A true experience of all senses and one of the highlights of magical Bali. It is a little trek to get here away from the main coasts and hustle and bustle of Ubud but it is worth it. Step away from the tourist trail and places like this allow you to discover the real beauty of Indonesia and their people. Stayed June 2016, traveled as a couple"

Inle Heritage Stilt Houses: "Beautiful and ever so nice"

Review by: patricia v | Source: Trip Advisor
"We stayed five nights in this beautiful and small hotel. The staff was worried that we wouldn't have enough things to do and they organized wonderful and rewarding tours around the lake, temples and stores. The staff couldn't be nicer. The rooms (6 in all), face the river. The bed and bathroom are very comfortable. This hotel runs a school for future hotel managers and all the students are very eaget to learn and help. In addition, there is a cat sanctuary. Its purpose is the re-introduction of the Burmese cat which had disappeared from Myanmar but was still found in the UK and Australia. There are 39 cats that have a lot of space to play, eat and sleep. Check the sleeping quarters of the cats.. they are made to simulate pagodas. the hotel also has an aquarium with the history and challenges the lake faces. The food is excellent given that they grow their own vegetables. Try the tomato salad and their vegetable and tofu curry. You won't be disappointed! Stayed January 2016, traveled as a couple"
