muang la: "Most charming Xmas Eve ever"
We stayed in this absolutely beautiful small resort for two nights. We were fortunate that we had a short journey, having flown to the nearest town and been picked up by the resort's car and our guide. We thought the location absolutely stunning and the staff even more fabulous. Our trek into the hills on Christmas Eve could not have been better (even down to the picnic lunch we carried with us from the resort) and the Christmas Eve entertainment which ended with us lighting Chinese lanterns was just magic. Thanks to everyone at the resort who made our stay so very special.Mathis Retreat: "Love this place!"
Visited for the 2nd time. And still love this place! Really small boutique feeling with all you want in holiday. Nice rooms, nice breakfast, nice staff, nice pool and perfect rice paddy view! Definitely would recommend to my friends.Tugu Lombok: "Very Polite Staff and Excellence Service"
Hotel Tugu Lombok is located near Bangsal port (port from Lombok island to Gili islands). Firstly, I came to hotel just for asking their room rates since I already knew their famous unique hotel in Malang. Surprisingly, their staffs are very polite and informative giving explanation about their room types and also the rate. They also let me and my family to walk around hotel and saw several rooms. Finally we took a rest in their restaurant while enjoying some fresh juices and pizza. Although we didn't stay for this moment, but I will recommend this hotel for their excellence service, friendliness and polite staffs.Rachamankha: "The most refined hotel in CNX"
I've been to this hotel for around 10 years. I can say that this is the most refined hotel in town. The design is impeccable. All details are well executed and tasteful. Food is super scrumptious. The pool is adorable. The location is in the heart of the city! What else do you want? The Village House: "Relaxing and chill"
Seemingly in the middle of nowhere this hotel was a complete surprise to me. The staff were all incredibly friendly and really helpful with arranging things such as going to the national parks, when the shuttle bus didn't come the boss drove us himself. All the food was fantastic as where the cocktails, highly recommend this place.friendlyThe Village House: "A diamond in the middle of nowhere"
We stayed here to enjoy a relaxed couple of days after a demanding tour theough malaysia and Borneo and though we have stayed at some of the fanciest and most luxurios hotels in the world we have to admit that the village house is one of the best accomodations we have stayed at. Sure it isn't a five star hotel with such amenities as flat screen tv's, tennis courts, jacuzzis and sorts but it makes up for it by being charming, romantic and being well taken care of. The house itself is as beautiful as it gets and gives you a 'home' feeling right from the start. You are welcomed by the manager herself and she takes care of your every need. If there is anything just let her know and she will find a way to wirl it out for you. Sort of like a good spirit. The girls are really nice as well and take good care of the facilities. The rooms are very well maintained and will be cleaned up twice daily. The food is (compared to malaysian standards) a bit pricey (but compared to western standards still ok) but soooo worth it! We can barely remember having had better asian food than the local Bidayuh cuisine. True, there isn't much you can do or explore around the village house but if you plan on a relaxing couple of days by the pool, maybe read a book then this is the place to go. My husband still claims its 'the best hotel/b&b i've ever stayed at'. We simply loved it!!Glenburn Tea Estate: "Green Heaven"
I have went with my friends as a trip. It's really so beautiful that it gives the touch of heaven. It is surrounded by greenary like a palace garden. The staff are very customer friendly and cooperative. Loved to visit againSupanniga Eating Room: "Superb"
Found through Time Out and it was a great shout. Excellent food in a small and modern restaurant with a nice vibe. Excellent staff and importantly great flavour to the food including a wonderful crab meat curry.LEOPARD SAFARIS-WILPATTU: "Into the wild and with the wild"
"I stayed over at Leopard Safaris, Wilpattu for one night together with family and friends and what a fantastic stay it has been. From the welcome, the game drives, to the meals, the service, the accommodation, the quality of standards has been flawless and consistent. I was very impressed how Pila and Praneeth manage the campsite and ensure that their guests have a wonderful experience and great memories. In comparison to their Yala operations Wilpattu is more towards classical mobile tented camping and the concept really falls in line with becoming one with nature. The campsite is just by the buffer zone of the park and is also teeming with wildlife including bird varieties and other flora and fauna. The game drives are really fun and informative, where Pila shares his vast knowledge on a variety of aspect including wildlife and history. The jeeps are very comfortable and is customised according to international standards. The naturalist does not follow other jeeps in the park and tries their best to give you a very private game drive experience. Meals are simply delicious and has a lot of local colour and flavour to it. The meals are best had in the great outdoors. Thank you Noel and the team for a magical wildlife experience. "Mrauk U Princess Resort: "A lush oasis in a dusty town"
"The Mrauk U Princess Resort is a lovely property and a wonderful place to retreat to after a long day of sightseeing and visiting the incredible and unspoiled historic temples in Mrauk U. Mrauk U itself is a dusty and bustling town and the temples are worth the long trip. The hotel arranged for a car to meet us at the Sittwe Airport for a three-hour drive and we availed ourselves of a peaceful ride back to Sittwe on one of the hotel's large motorboats. The five-hour journey included an excellent lunch and was an enjoyable way to see the riverfront views and a peaceful way to travel. The hotel is comprised of a number of authentic villas created completely by hand of carved teak in the local style. Furnished with local fabrics and decor, each is a mix of modern conveniences and Rakhine authenticity. There's also a unique swimming pool, set down in the middle of a pond. The dining facilities, bar and public accommodations are spacious and the very helpful and friendly staff anticipates your every need. The food is excellent and the spa offers a full range of massage and other services. The hotel arranged an excellent guide and tour of the historic temples by Tuk Tuk as well as home-made croissants and coffee at dawn on the top of a mountain to watch the sunrise over the mountains. Getting to Mrauk U takes some time, but it's definitely worth the trip. The Mrauk U Princess is a wonderful and welcoming retreat and is highly recommended."
