satrin house: "Beautiful hotel, Great service"
"We've stayed in a suite room for 4 nights here, and this was the main reason for our happy trip in Luangprabang. Everything is great here, great room, great service, great breakfast. It's a good place to chill and let time stop. The only minor draw back is the hotel quite far to walk from walking street (2-3km) even though hotel has a free bicycle for guests to use. I've tried once and found that cars in Luangprabang driving rather hectic (ps. I'm not a good cycling person either). The better choice is to take tuk tuk which was cost 20,000 KIP (sometimes driver called for 30,000 KIP) for one way. "Talabgaon Castle: "Unreal Experience"
"My wife and I recently visited this resort on our trip from San Francisco and could not have been happier with our stay. It is a beautiful property and the staff could not have been more hospitable. The grounds were beautifully maintained, the rooms were gorgeous and comfortable, and the food was fantastic. We stopped here for a night in between Agra and Jaipur. It is in the countryside so it is a very tranquil and peaceful setting when compared to the city. We were treated like royalty at this 200+ year old castle that was recently restored to this beautiful resort. The resort sits on 100 acres with expansive lawns, a pool, gardens, and a polo field. It is a perfect place to spend a night or two to unwind and get way from the hustle and bustle of India. 5+ stars across the board. Stayed February 2017, traveled as a couple"Noel Rodrigo’s Leopard Safaris: "Very enjoyable stay"
We stayed here as we were wanting to stay somewhere environmentally aware & we were very happy with the camp etc. The meals we're fantastic, the chef was really to be commended he did a fabulous job. The one observation I would make is that the safaris are focused on finding leopards as you would expect, so if you are interested in viewing other animals speak up. Overall a great experience.Inle Princess Resort: "Loved it"
"I loved this hotel. Our chalets were huge and extremely comfortable, and I much appreciated the free minibar containing soft drinks. There were all the amenities you would expect, and the turn down service and cleaning of the rooms was excellent. The view across the lake was also splendid. We made good use of the spa, which has to have the most enormous treatment rooms anywhere. And the treatments were first class. The only thing that I would criticise are the steps into the bathroom and out to the outdoor shower from the room; the steps are all the same colour and in dim lighting merge into one another, with the result that we both tripped down them. A couple of white outlines on the steps would help enormously. There was a very nice bar area, which was extremely efficient and well-run. And the food in the restaurant was also good."Noel Rodrigo’s Leopard Safaris: "A really classy first-rate camping safari"
"We stayed in the only air conditioned tent and with it's ensuite bathroom and running water was the ultimate luxury. The things that made this safari were the staff (wonderfully expert and hospitable), the excellent Sri Lankan food and - oh yes - the wildlife spotting! Just be aware that unlike African safaris we have been on, this camp is in a lovely spot but outside the reserve as camps are not allowed inside."Supanniga Cruise: "Bangkok dinner cruise"
"The Supanniga experience was outstanding! The food service and ambiance was excellent: well presented, creative and tasty. A lovely intimate evening on the river. Don't waste your time on those huge floating buffet cruises. Review collected in partnership with this attraction "Tugu Bali: "Amazing property"
Very unique experience staying in this hotel. Quick walk to the surf breaks at Batu Balong, Old Man's and Echo Beach/Pererenan from the lovely beach area on the property. Food in the restaurant is a bit more expensive than other options in the area but well worth the price.THE SAMAR: "THE SAMAR"
" Siem Reap itself is something else. You can feel certain peace and tranquility immidiately after you land there. When you check in to hotel Samar Villa & Spa, this feeling of serenity and relaxation comes to it's full power. It is situated just a bit outside of the city centre limits, which is actually great. Tuk tuk is affordable so a 4,5 minute ride to the Siem Reap centre is really not a problem. On a contrary, nice way to cool down after a hot day in Angkor temples, before you step into the Samar swimming pool. Check in procedure is really smooth and relaxing, with nice welcome drinks and towels provided for all. Hotel is not big, so even if they are full, you are almost all the time alone and you feel like you have it all just for yourself. Staff are very nice and provide help but privacy in the same time, which we appreciated highly. Rooms are so nice, in french colonial style, maintained well, decorated with style. Breakfasts were so delicious, there is no buffet, but you can order your daily choice and they will prepare it for you. Very tasty. Some of the comments before were negative (eg maintainance, insect spraying,...). We found them not to be true, and as far as insects are concerned, of course they have to spray, but as the end result you can have nice relaxing evenings without bugs and mosquitos. They do it during the day, when all/most guests are out, exploring temples.... All in all, i really hope me and my family will come back to Cambodia and Siem Reap soon. Then we will stay in Samar again for sure! It is for every recommendation."Maison Polanka: "Perfect."
Wonderful stay in the Yellow Room - quite, well appointed and spacious (much bigger than pictured). The owner cobbled together 6 or more properties to create a couple acre paradise. It's plenty close to downtown Siem Reap and down a sleepy side street so it is private and sees no traffic. Breakfast is quality - latte, fresh local fruit, freshly baked bread, eggs any way you like, etc. Toss in helpful staff (arranged tuk tuk to/from temples and car to PP, booked restaurants, even called airline on our behalf to inquire about changing flights), free bikes to tool around in, good library, and relaxing pool with excellent kitchen, and the choice is easyNeeleshwar Hermitage: "Is heaven better"
We first visited this resort two years ago. Our SECOND visit to this wonderful place included two nights on their houseboat The Lotus and four nights at the resort. It is very difficult to add to previous glowing reviews except to say that it still remains the most lovely experience. The staff are a delight, nothing is too much trouble, the food is of the highest standard and we think a privilege to be able to stay here. The attention to detail is a huge complement to the management.Travel Asia with Secret Retreats
