Satri House: "Perfect. bliss"
"Nothing to add really to the other reviewers. This place is splendid with style and characters, quiet because a bit away from the main road. Will absolutely return. Would only say that breakfast service is a bit difficult - you have to order piecemeal (or anyway, that's what our waitress did). Stayed April 2017, traveled with family"Nam Bo Boutique Hotel: "Great view, great service"
"We were in room 8 on the third floor-a tastefully decorated small suite with three balconies in the living room overlooking the waterfront and promenade. The two windows in the bedroom also overlooked the promenade as well as a side street. The rooms were spotless and the queen bed was comfortable. The provided fruits were tasty. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast in the most excellent L'escale restaurant (try it for dinner for a taste treat) was a white tablecloth affair spoiled only by the German brat children who screamed throughout. Wifi was excellent."Jing’s Residence: "Perfect in every way"
Family of five, had 2 rooms. Was easily the best place we stayed in china. The staff treated us like family, teaching the boys calligraphy, taking the time to teach us about chinese culture. We were truly spoiled. The rooms were impeccable, traditional in style but comfortable and modern. Breakfast was included and delicious - we ate one dinner there and it was our best meal in china. The hotel is inside the pedestrian only area of the town, so we had the hotel pick us up from the train station. Can't sing praises enough of this establishment. A real gem in a gorgeous little town.4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Fabulous, a holiday highlight!"
We are in Cambodia for two weeks, exploring temples, villages and markets. 4 Rivers was our third location and was unforgettable. The service from the friendly staff was excellent, the food was delicious and cooked fresh, and the trips were great. Fully recommended going the waterfall trip (be careful if you decide to kayak down the Rapids, it is more difficult than it looks, so confident swimmers only!) and also the mangroves. We spent our evenings playing games and hunting for geckos and insects - with the staff too!! It was great to turn off our phones and socialise properly! I miss it already - definitely worth a trip if you visit Cambodia!Tugu Bali: "Romantic 10 year anniversary celebration"
"This was the perfect place to have a night away from our 5 year old to celebrate our 10 year anniversary! We felt like we were a million miles away in the serene setting provided by the hotel. This is a must for any trip to Bali! The cultural night on Thursday adds such a special touch to our evening! "Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "Excellent say in a period mansion"
"My wife and I stayed here for 9 nights recently in the traditional Nanyang room and the enormous 50's retro rock n' roll style room. The mansion has undergone a superb restoration unlike the mostly shabby restorations seen in similar historic buildings in China. A lot of care and love has gone into this great house. The staff were all excellent and helpful. The breakfast in the superb dining room was a highlight. The food was a basic buffet supplemented with cooked to order choices. Everything was fresh and tasty. Did not try the inhouse restaurant but other guests we spoke to recommended it. Location is excellent. Will come back again."4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Simply amazing and unforgettable"
"We stayed in tent 6 north for 2 nights...we do have regrets about our stay. And that is basically the fact that we didn't stay longer. This place is beautiful. A friendly welcome on arrival as we then took a boat ride to the resort. Having just come from Phnom Penh the first thing that hits you is the calmness. A further friendly and informative welcome once we reached the resort. We arrived mid afternoon and took advantage of the wonderful food and sipped a couple of beers on the deck in front of our superb accommodation. The sheer size of the tents and the comfort factor and ammenities available are fantastic. I loved the fact you could unzip the tent to allow you to see the beautiful surroundings at all times. As well as allowing a subtle breeze. The fans provided help with the heat and humidity and the bed is large and comfortable. I love how EVERYTHING moves with the flow of boats passing or people walking on the walkways. Dinner choices are required in advance where you can choose the set menu of the day or simply pick what you like from the standard menu. Breakfast choices are also required in advance. The food is very tasty and the restaurant staff very polite and efficient. We enjoyed a trip to the waterfall. Our 2 guides and boat driver were very good and also great fun. Very interesting to hear how they now have jobs at the resort having been poachers. We arrived prior to anyone else and it was great. The water is warm to swim and the scenery gorgeous. Butterflies everywhere and of course the flowing falls. Fried rice cooked fresh on boar for lunch which was delicious. A thunderstorm started upon our return boat trip..I'm not good with lighting and I'll never forget the guides 'ducking' and 'cowaring' with each lightning strike...when I saw what damage the lightning strikes had caused to their coconut trees you'd understand why. Thankfully after watching the rain fall with such force into the river as we arrived back it stopped. We went on the free trip to see the fire flies. Stunning and so bizarre that they all congregate to one tree..it flashes like a Christmas tree...but it much more beautiful...and the stars...in such darkness the stars are so bright. We were off to Kep after here and were so glad to be given the choice of when we departed. 8am 10am or 12pm. We went with the later time so to optimise our time. Using this to take a leisurely breakfast and to take the kayaks out for a paddle round the island. We saw rhinoceros hornbills and archer fish. Highly recommend 4 rivers. Long may it stay exactly as it is"Jing’s Residence: "A truly unique experience."
The hotel is made of a beautiful set of buildings in the style of old courtyard architecture. The rooms are extremely comfortable and you do not hear a sound. The common areas, dining room, bar, library, are decorated with remarkable taste. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. A unique experience!Villa Song Saigon: "Magic amongst the Mayhem"
"Villa Song is on the river away from the manic mayhem of Saigon, we loved it. I would not liked to have stay in Saigon itself, its very noisy, dirty and smelly at Villa Song we had the best of both worlds. A boat takes guest back and forth to the city so its easy to get to any of the sights fairly easily. It suitated in an area that has a number of International Schools and there are some reasonalbe resturants and and shop. We chose to eat at the hotel as we were only there for three nights and it was a joy to sit by the river and watch life go by. The food was delicious and resonably priced for good quality fare. Our room had a small balcony and was very comfortable. Breakfast was delcious and plentiful. An excellent stay."Slow Villas and Spa: "Super Romantic Private Oasis"
"I am an architect and have very unique houses of our own that we rent, so I am extremely particular when it comes to staying elsewhere. We decided to escape Ubud for Gili Air for Jaime's birthday. Wow! We had a perfect romantic birthday getaway and honestly had a super hard time leaving our beautiful villa at Slow. Slow is carefully designed, with attention paid to all the small details that matter to a designer like me. It is comfy and extremely romantic and private. We felt like we were in our own private oasis. The staff was wonderful and prepared a birthday song for Jaime in 3 different Indonesian Languages. So sweet! We had a lovely massage at their stunning spa. The breakfast was yummy and a feast for the eyes and I love their handmade dishes. I have a sense of what other accommodations are available on Gili and I would never consider staying anywhere else. Huge praise for SLOW! Room Tip: I think all the rooms are equally beautiful! Rooms are prettier than in the photo>"
