4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "One of a Kind!"

"I have never been to a place like 4 Rivers Floating Lodge. We were amazed by the spectacular view, the tranquility, and the over-all ambiance of the place. The travel going to the hotel was a little long from Phnom Penh but everything was worth it. I highly recommend 4 Rivers floating Lodge to people who just want to escape to a world of peace and quiet. The staff were great. I also loved the food that was served.But what I'm truly impressed about is that the operations of the hotel is sustainable and environmentally sound. Kudos. Glenburn Tea Estate: "A hidden gem not to be missed!"

A stay at the Glenburn tea estate is a truly unforgettable experience and we loved every minute of it. Whichever way you look from the delightful gardens or from either of the beautiful bungalows there is a wonderful vista, even when the mountains are shrouded in mist. Unfortunately for us, the weather was not at its best when we stayed in late March/early April, but we were lucky enough to be there for 5 nights and so we at least had 2 fabulous mornings when we were treated to the breathtaking views of the Kanchenjunga mountain range from the comfort of our room. Our room (Camelia) was fabulously spacious and beautifully decorated in English country house style with a lovely seating area, and French doors onto a small balcony with magnificent views. The bathroom was enormous with roll top bath and huge walk in shower. We did not see any of the other rooms but all other guests seemed just as impressed with theirs, and we gather the views are wonderful from each and every room. The food was delicious with an imaginative and varied menu and, despite initial reservations, we really rather enjoyed the communal dining in the evening. It was very interesting to meet such a variety of people from all over the world. I think perhaps my husband was a little bored on the last evening being the only man at a dining table full of rather verbose women! There was plenty to keep us amused during our 5 night stay with a visit to the tea factory, walks around the estate looking at the flowers, birds and butterflies, a lovely (though quite tiring) hike to the river camp with a tasty meal when we arrived, and a day trip into Darjeeling. We could have done a lot more but, after the hustle and bustle of Kolkata, and because the gardens were so idyllic, we relished in the opportunity to relax, reading, chatting, playing cards and drinking plenty of Glenburn First Flush tea! All of the staff were friendly, helpful and efficient, and hats off to the multi-talented Nilima and Luna for being such lovely and well-informed guides, but also for running the shop and helping with the organisation of the staff welfare programme, amongst a multitude of other skills. A very big thank you to Jemima, Holly and all the staff for a truly memorable and delightful stay........ We hope we will return one day.

Villa Song Saigon: "The Gem on the riverside"

"I can just agree with other reviewers,this place is lovely ....a quiet haven after hours in the city of HCMC with noise,traffic,and stress. Just relax in the shade by the pool with a nice book,or have a drink by the riverside watching the boats passing. Very confy bed and pillows.Lovely breakfast and lunch. The staff very helpful sorting out some issues with my airline for the returnflight. I have already reserved my next stay at Villa Song. See you in november.Thank you. "

Mie Cafe: "A Gem"

"There was a power cut during our first visit, they lighted up a lot of candles in order to carry on the service, we actually found it rather romantic ! My husband had the gourmet set and I had the scallops and beef curry, all very delicious. They gave us a discount as their appreciation that we stayed even there was a power cut, nice gesture. We went back for another dinner, we requested a table upstairs , very nice setting to look over the garden, unfortunately the next door restaurant was very busy with a lot of people and live singing etc. and hence we couldn't enjoy our dinner as much. Delicious food, attentive staff, great value. Would recommend this restaurant."

Reverie Siam Pai: "Best hotel ever!!"

"Best hotel with extreme good personal service I have ever visited!! Ok, a little bit out of the touristic rush. But the free golfcar shuttles you twice an hour to the center of Pai. And picks you up as well. The oase, the more than friendly staff, the high servicelevel and the good restaurant make me feel like a queen in her own castle! We really regret we could not stay longer. This hotel is a reason on its own to come to Thailand."

Locavore: "Stunning food and flawless service!"

As professional chef and lover of all types of food, I was pleasantly surprised at the outstanding quality of the food, presentation and service at Locavore. Each dish was beautiful and delicious and sitting at the chefs counter made it even better as we could see the food being made and watch the silent precision behind the scenes. This meal is in my top three restaurant meals ( alongside The French Laundry, Napa Valley and Eden Hill, Seattle) of all time! I liked that the degustation size is small, as I left full but not overly heavy. In addition to the 5 course degustation we ordered we received no less than 6 amuse bouche and a whole tray of petit fours for dessert. The cocktails were awesome. This is a must do in Ubud! Tugu Lombok: "Perfect holidays"

"Tugu Hotel is such a lovely place to rest and enjoy holidays! Very quiet and peaceful place, beautiful beach, wonderful massages, very good food ! Absolutely everything was fantastic. Slow Villas and Spa: "Amazing villa, couldn’t have asked for more"

"From start to finish we were made to feel very welcome, everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. The villa was beautiful, very nicely decorated, the private pool was great. Breakfasts were amazing, brought to our villa at a requested time and laid out on the garden table to enjoy the morning. We were treated to a complimentary massage in the adjoining spa which was very relaxing and free pilates in the mornings was a very enjoyable bonus. The only minor comment would be that a couple of things like bike hire and laundry service seemed needlessly overpriced. If I returned to Gili Air I would stay here again."

Satri House: "Wonderful Boutique Hotel"

"What a delightful surprise this little hotel was! We had the absolute best stay. The gardens and pools are amazing. The pictures really doesn't do it justice. We spend hours just lazing on the sun loungers ordering drinks. You couldn't ask for a more perfect location. 5 min walk to all the action, yet quiet and secluded from it at the same time. We enjoyed taking the free bicycles available and taking long rides next to the beautiful Mekong. The entire hotel has been tastefully renovated, the decor is sublime. Each element carefully chosen and blends in with nature and the french heritage of the town. The pools look green because they are tiled in little green tiles that mirror the beautiful gardens. I'm going to make a special mention of the warm and caring staff. We truly felt welcome, and cared for. They would arrange anything, give advice on all, and run after us with umbrellas. We'll be back."

VILLA SONG SAIGON: "Lovely hotel"

"Two nights after a long flight- excellent spa- fantastic views across the river - nice breakfasts and helpful staff. Shuttle water taxi works well and it's nice to return to relative calm at Villa Song. We would choose to stay here again and will recommend it to our friends. "
