SEEDS Restaurant & Lounge: "Just awesome"
After much anticipation and planning we finally made it to Seeds, the new stunning restaurant of much celebrated Swiss couple Felix and Lucia. After many years in Yangon and previously the proud owners of Le Planteur they opened Seeds. Beautiful location right on the lake with stunning views, extraordinary art pieces, specially hand made plates and all the bells and whistles to go with it. The service was exceptional and the food was out of this world. Myanmar is of course only now waking up to new opportunities and a bit more freedom and much still needs to be done and on the night we visited Felix quickly had to nip off to Bangkok to bring back a suitcase full of ingredients that was not available that day in Yangon. Seriously well done to this extraordinary couple for pulling this off and you will be a fool if you are in Yangon and not visit this place! It's a must !Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "A fairy tale kind of stay"
"It truly is an experience itself to stay in this hotel. I was already fascinated when I first saw the photos of this hotel. But the moment you walk into this beautiful mansion, well that is a whole different experience. Very special ! One isn’t surprised that the Mansion won the title of UNESCO’s Most Excellent Project in the Asia Pacific Heritage Awards! I loved the room we stayed in, which was part of the Liang Collection. The high ceilings. The superb decoration to its very details. The bathroom was a dream! All in all pretty spacious. Not to forget that you have sitting areas outside of your rooms as well. And the amenities definitely remind one of a 5 Star hotel experience. The breakfast was superb too. I personally loved the open air lobby and the breakfast space. This place makes up for great photos too. The staff is super kind and super attentive and makes the entire luxurious experience complete. I haven’t seen many hotels in Penang besides this but I cannot imagine that there is a more wonderful place to stay in Georgetown. Seriously staying in a unique place like this just perfectly completes the experience of visiting a UNESCO heritage site. I can only recommend it! "Nimmu House: "Amazing retreat, fine food and service"
"This incredible property is the perfect place to base a Ladakh itinerary from. We spent our first 4 days there to acclimatize. Tents are very luxurious and were perfect for our family of four. The property has a 'Provence in Ladakh' feel to it. Very European. All staff were wonderful. It felt like we had forged new friendships that will endure. Food is incredibly fresh and was a real highlight for us. The hotel staff helped to make all arrangements for activities - and there's a lot to do in the area!! I really cant recommend this property high enough. It is one of the best that we have stayed in in many years."Sanak Retreat Bali: "In the rice fields, whit the head in the stars!"
"all around there is the smell of clove, the right place where break with the compulsory life of the overactive Seminyak..... you don't need to move, just look around and breath the peaceful sense of time passing. The lovely wooden bungalow are conformable and far away each other to grantee privacy and good rest. the food is excellent and the price definitely correct for the quality deserve. after 15 years coming in Bali for vacations is nice to be surprise..again ! Room Tip: better far from the restaurant aerea...."Mie Cafe: "my number two in Siem Reap"
nice, small restaurant with friendly staff and good, innovative food. We were very well taken care of and left the restaurant happy. And for all those Swiss who know what a "Röstiraffel" is, watch out for some of the lamps. Very nice and an excellent idea which I will copy at home! I can highly recommend this restaurant and I am happy that the owner of Wat Damrak told us to go there.Sandat Glamping Tents: "wonderful place"
Sadly we could only stay one night, we will definitely be back. Tasteful and top quality in every respect. We felt relaxed after one day like we'd been there a week! The staff were lovely, friendly but unobtrusiveSandat Glamping Tents: "Resort da sogno"
Grazie!!!!! Stayed March 2017, traveled as a couple"Cuca: "A hidden gem"
You will not stumble across Cuca by accident; it's hidden on a quiet street a few hundred metres back from Jimbaran beach. We booked ahead and secured an outdoor table in the restaurant's garden, which was very peaceful and private. The food was really quite exceptional and exceeded my expectations. The plating, presentation and service rivals any fine dining experience. Please don't miss Cuca if you're in the area.JL Studio: "Memorable experience"
"We went to JL Studio to celebrate my girlfriends birthday. The booking process took a while because the phone number is used by the restaurant below and there was some kind of miscommunication, however, all was sorted out. Upon arrival, we were greeted by staff, sat down and offered drinks. I'm quite a talker and it was great that the staff were so friendly and easy to talk to. Our waiter explained to us about the meal that we would soon try. The thing that he made very clear to us is that the progression of meals would be like a journey, that was definitely the perfect way to explain it. Over the 8 or 9 courses, the meal progression was perfectly set up, the flavors were well defined and everything was delicious. When the signature dish came out, the vision was explained to us by Chef Jimmy himself. He stayed a few minutes and spoke to us which was a very nice gesture. I told him that one of my favorite Singaporean dishes was chill crab. He told me that upon my next visit, I'd just need to mention it to him and he would prepare it for me, again, the feeling of importance that he gave me was a nice touch. I'll definitely be going back, hopefully for my own birthday this November."Sanak Retreat Bali: "Great bungalows in a splendid location"
We enjoyed a lot our stay in Sanak retreat Bali. The bunglaows have two floors and are ideal for families. The views are great anywhere from the hotel with a large and nice pool. The proposed hiking going to the waterfall is highly recommended with a very nice guide. Restaurant ok but not great. On the expensive side for BaliTravel Asia with Secret Retreats
