Glenburn Tea Estate: "Green Heaven"
I have went with my friends as a trip. It's really so beautiful that it gives the touch of heaven. It is surrounded by greenary like a palace garden. The staff are very customer friendly and cooperative. Loved to visit againManda De Laos: "The most beautiful place in all of Luang Prabang to dine!"
We were simply blown away by the setting of this restaurant. You walk in thinking it's just a nice place and then the amazement begins. The dining is alongside many ponds that create a setting of relaxation and wonder. The teens even enjoyed exploring on the paths over the water which were candle lit. The food and service were very good. I wouldn't say every dish was the best, but overall, our party was happy with their food and the waiters were so kind and willing to help, even our fussy eater. What a fun night out with family and friends.Villa Song Saigon: "away from downtown, along the river"
if you don't want to stay near downtown HCMC Villa Song might be your best choice located along the river, they offer free speed boat ride to the city, which is pretty cool! and if you like beers, they will refill your mini bar with 2 beers overnight for free too!Rakkojae Seoul: "Hanok Stay with modern conveniences"
We visited Seoul as a family reunion. Rakkojae was within walking distance to The Blue House, the Gyeongbokgung Palace, Changdeokgung Palace, Buckchon Village, Jogyesa Temple, Insadong, and lots of Michelin rated restaurants. The staff and Mr. Kim, our host/concierge was very helpful with recommendations of what to do, where to eat, arrange taxi rides, etc. He even was kind enough to allow us to leave our luggage before and after our stay to allow us a little more time in Seoul. Rakkojae Seoul is located in a very quiet, off-the-beaten-track neighborhood that make us feel like we are back in the Joseon Dynasty. Oh, and the staff provided us with a delicious traditional Korean breakfast, and Continental Breakfast. If you want a Hanok experience with modern conveniences, we highly recommend Rakkojae Seoul.Muang La Lodge: "An outstanding experience"
"One of the best management we ever experienced, the food sublime, probably the best we had in Laos! From our arrival to our leave we have been taken extra care by these two young managers! They were also able to hand down their passion to the local staff, an impressive task considering the circumstances of the location. I would recommend this hotel to anyone travelling in Laos, especially if you love food and thermal waters! Thank you very much for the amazing time and for the color pencils for our little daughter we found on the mini bus when we left!"Flower Island: "Pristine paradise!"
"We spent 2 nights at flower island resort and loved every minute! The corals surrounding the island are stunning and thriving with life. We saw a turtle on our first snorkelling just a few metres away from the beach. The visibility is great, around 20-25m and there is plenty of fish. Our cottage had a direct access onto the beach with a beautiful view (especially for sunset). The staff on the island is very friendly, they even prepared a last minute dance show for us on our last evening there. We also had the chance to visit one of the pearl farms nearby, a fascinating industry. This place is a true paradise, we did not want to leave. Thank you flower island resort for such an amazing time."Heritage Suites: "Still excellent"
"I returned to the Heritage hotel one year after my previous stay almost exactly to the day. It's an outstanding hotel truly qualifies as a boutique hotel This time I was given a bungalow and my reaction to this upgrade ( low season) was WOW,what amazing room the best hotel room since a stay at Amanpuri in Phuket. The size of the room is fantastic, the living room, of course the bathroom including a steam room, etc etc Outdoor showers The pictures say what I can not say in words I have a comment to make, I was told the hotel has new ownership and a new manager is soon going to arrive. I only recognized one person Mr Han I hope there's no deterioration of an amazing property I highly recommend it, best hotel on this trip that covered 5 countries in SE Asia"Maisons Wat Kor: "Beautiful hidden gem – perfect for a relaxing getaway"
Sadly we only stayed for one night, it is the perfect place to relax especially since it is a little out of town. The Cambodian style villas are cozy with a good range of amenities (just wish they provided some shampoo and shower gel in the bathrooms), the pool and pond areas are lovely with all the tropical plants and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed the morning sitting on the deck overlooking the lotus flower pond and the afternoon swimming in the pool (surprisingly the water was cool despite the heat). The food in the restaurant was fresh and delicious. The server went out of his way to cut us fresh coconuts from the tree. Definitely a place to return to for another weekend getaway.Inle Heritage Stilt Houses: "A highlight of our trip"
"This is definitely a highlight of our trip! Upon arrival, reception greets you by name and it just gets better from there. There are only six cottages on property which allows them to make each stay an amazing experience. Each cottage has a terrace. The rooms are spacious and nicely appointed. You can (and we did) end up spending most of our time in ours. Beds are comfortable and rooms make you feel that you are staying somewhere special. The hotel is also a teaching school for aspiring hospitality students and they go over the top to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Part of the money you spend goes to supporting the students and local community. In Feb, it does get cold at night so in addition to bringing warm PJs, the staff leaves bed warmers during the turn down service. Nice touch. It can get a bit noisy - during the day, you hear motorboats going back and forth along the water highway and at night, there are chanting monks (at least during Feb for some festival). It didn't bother us but that seems to be the only thing people complained about on TA. There are ear plugs available if it does bother you. Internet is barely working and best time to try is early morning however this appears to be the norm for this area. All in all, a really enjoyable experience and absolutely recommended. Room Tip: Book the cooking class!"4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Unique Experience"
"Had a really amazing and unique stay in this floating hotel. The hotel is a 30 minute boat ride from the road and so is very isolated and with only 12 Tents for guests it is very peaceful. A place to slow down and contemplate the quieter life. "
