Cuca: "A hidden gem"
You will not stumble across Cuca by accident; it's hidden on a quiet street a few hundred metres back from Jimbaran beach. We booked ahead and secured an outdoor table in the restaurant's garden, which was very peaceful and private. The food was really quite exceptional and exceeded my expectations. The plating, presentation and service rivals any fine dining experience. Please don't miss Cuca if you're in the area.Tugu Bali: "A new favorite hotel"
Stayed here in a Rejang suite for four nights and loved every minute. This hotel is the pinnacle of Indonesian beauty, design and hospitality. All the furniture is antique yet comfortable, and there is a mysticism when entering the rooms. Echo Beach is right off the back of the hotel - a beautiful spot to relax, read, swim, watch surfers. I also appreciated that the hotel fumigates the rooms twice a week to help with the mosquitoes. :) Canggu is a great town to stay in if you're looking for peace and relaxation. It's away from the crowds further south but has more than enough life, shops, restaurants, etc. Borrowed a bike one day to explore the surrounding villages and rice patties. Stayed here on a friend's recommendation and would definitely return.The Village House: "Lovely Place, PEACEFUL!"
Booked for 1 Night for my propose day, is a great place especially you want to do nothing by just relaxing and enjoy the day..very friendly staff, romantic and quiet as well. surrounding are nice but a bit lack of light at night at the backyard. by the way, i have to give extra credit about the pool.The Island Lodge: "Such luxury"
So close to HCMC but away from the bustle. We were greeted by staff and Michel ( the host). Our room was authentic country luxury with no marble in site. Gave us a feeling of tropical colonial luxury. A beautiful pool, tropical gardens, amazing French cuisine for dinner and breakfast. Staff were incredibly polite and service was amazing. This hotel is a little gem. Large rooms/ suites in a perfect location in this very nice town. The staff were uniformly so friendly and helpful. i only stayed one night and liked it a lot. we were given a tour if the hotel and learned so much about the history of the house. there are so many pieces of art with so much history. stay there and take the tour. don't forget to eat there!Villa Song Saigon: "Peace in Siagon"
My wife found this Boutique Hotel in a slightly out of the way spot, which ment we had peace quiet and a quality accomodation package, all within a 5 minute private speed boat trip to the centre of the city... what a winning combination. On first arrival at Samanea we were pleasantly surprised at how pretty the resort was! A true resort, getaway in the quite town of Kep. Villas were very nicely decorated, had a real tropical feel. Bathrooms are novelty with outdoor tub and rain shower. Big, spacious rooms. Individual villas. Rooms have some air conditioning and an additional fan is provided. However aircon isn't strong enough to really cool the room down. Also as bathroom is outdoors - it has no air conditioning. Beautiful pool, lovely view out to the sea. Amazing sunsets. Please take insect repellant as being close to the water and mangroves there are alot of mosquitos and bugs. Overall food was good but not fantastic but the environment makes up for it. The open dining area was really nice. Good for a few days getaway. Great for couples - but as travelling with a friend a few days was enough. Note: no gym, wifi was relatively stable. We would highly recommend Samanea as a secret resort getaway.4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Floating Rivers Dream"
Just came back from a unique hotel experience. Being situated in the middle of nowhere allowed me, my husband and our four kids to relax for the 4 days we were there. We spent most of our time swimming, kayaking and paddle boarding in the river. I would say 3 nights is the perfect amount of time to go. We had the most wonderful taster menu here at such a reasonable price of $31. It was nice to get a choice of 2 taster menus and when I explained that I would like to swap one course with a course from the other taster menu, the chef came out to see me and explain the dish more to help me chose which one to go with. Such a nice touch for the chef to come out. In the end I didn't enjoy the course afterall so the chef as promised sent out the other course I wanted instead. How good customer service is that ? Wish we could have gone again but they were closed for the next few weeks luckily Siem Reap is full of wonderful restaurants so we were spoiled for choice, but none like this place.
