Inle Princess Resort: "TRADITIONAL AND BEAUTIFUL"
For the more traditional stay this is the place for you. The rooms are adorned in cedar and their is an outdoor shower that is just divine. Tea and coffee making is included and they have great wi fi as long as a storm doesn't interrupt the feed :) . The staff are so courteous and will do anything to make your stay the best possible experience on the lake. The pool is large and the spa is excellent and very reasonable in price.Tugu Lombok: "Lombok at its very best"
"My partner and I have just returned home from a 12 night stay with the Tugu family. We spent 6 nights in an Aloon Aloon villa and 6 in a Svarga villa. Both rooms were large, with comfortable beds, good (partial outdoor) bathrooms, great air conditioning, and everything you could possibly need or wish for (except a hairdryer, which wasn’t a major problem). We booked airport transfers through Tugu which were like mini tours in themselves, we saw the monkey forest en route to Tugu and the beach roads on the way home. The welcome we received from every single member of staff was warm, genuine and gracious. The gardener even presented me with flowers every morning as we walked to breakfast. We enjoyed 2 different massages at the spa which were both very good, and one was complimentary. Both restaurants were great, and the food was consistently excellent, always well presented and with daily specials too. One evening we ate on the temple roof which was a lovely experience. Tugu arranged 2 trips for us, a panoramic waterfall walk and a day trip on the dragon boat to the Gili islands. We enjoyed both, but particularly the Gili trip; as we are novice snorkellers Nana and Sama our guides were very patient and we had a brilliant day and spent hours snorkelling around the coral reefs and saw many turtles. On my birthday the staff sang to me and gave me a lovely cake, and our room was decorated brilliantly with animals shaped from towels and candles and flowers. It was very special. An even lovelier surprise was they did the same thing the next night, which was our last night at the hotel! A completely different selection of animals made from towels. We enjoyed every moment of our time at Tugu. It is a peaceful, friendly, welcoming hotel which we hope to return to many more times. It is quiet, relaxing, maybe not for those seeking a wild nightlife as it is quite remote, but that is exactly what we wanted. Thank you particularly to Henry, Elly, Ruslan, Mahmud, Dedy, and Ige(?) Agus. We don’t recall the name of the towel arranging experts but they should have their own TV show just about towel arranging! We can’t wait to return to Tugu. Thank you again to everyone for such a lovely stay."Tugu Lombok: "Very Romantic; great personalized Service! Not too far from Gili Islands"
"So romantic, with extremely well-presented Villas and personalized service: felt like everyone there knew our names from hour one! The grounds are lovely and the pool is excellent. Feels like it should cost a lot more $$ than it does. Notably though it is somewhat isolated and one is pretty 'much here' if not taking a Taxi, so I felt they could have either had rested on poor food - or charged a lot at their Restaurants - but instead the Food was really, really good IMO; some of my favorite in Bali and Lombok. We greatly also enjoyed our included Brekkies... Came here with my Son and we got an extra bed which fit fine within our spacious lovely Villa; we were able to spend a lot of time together. A nice thing too is that one can also say take a taxi to local harbor 'Bangdol' to take a slow boat (costs like 15,000 IDR) to Gili T (the fast boat is 4x more and just a few minutes faster)... also see Gili Meno and Gili Air which I recommend.. one small thing to be aware of is the Taxi Brokers when first arriving from say Bali at Bangdol: they will try to charge you 500,000 or more for a taxi from a Harbor to Hotel and yet will 'secretly' give the taxi driver only 50,000 of that!! If you can make your way past thronging Brokers and ignore their aggressive entreaties; go up to actual Taxi drivers and they will take you to wonderful Hotel Tugu for 100,000 or less. If you can get a Blue Bird metered taxi it might be 30,000. We learned our lesson and became pretty adept in avoiding the aggressive Taxi Brokers in Bangdol Harbor! And this allows a lot of travel in going to and from great Hotel Tugu. Anyway both my Son and I felt that Hotel Tugu and its Staff and Meals were fantastic! Like a hidden gem in Lombok. I think that this place would be great too for Romance and couples. Rob W. Stayed February 2017, traveled with family"Villa Song: "An amazing oasis of calm"
HCMC is a crazy, busy, polluted, energetic, frenetic place to visit and Villa Song is a gentle oasis of calm on the river where you can unwind from a busy day in the city. If you want to be right at the heart of the city, this probably isn't the place for you, as it's some way out... but having said that, they have a private boat service to take guests into town that operates throughout the day. I found it far better to be out of the city and to have a quieter place to stay instead. The spa is good, the pool is fab and the views, accommodation, food and service are totally worth the premium. Thoroughly recommended!Babe: "Awesome, loved it!"
The moment we walked in, we were pleasantly surprised by the wonderful direct view of the KL skyline. We went on a Tuesday and we had the entire restaurant to ourselves (hint to romantic couples!). We had to pay a non-refundable deposit for our reservation, probably because the restaurant needed to prepare the ingredients which were really top-notched. We took the 11 course tasting menu, and everything was quality, unique, pretty and delicious!! There were cool surprises in between too. It was an awesome experience!Mudanwan Villa: "養生休憩之旅"
"沒想過在台灣也可以有這麼靜謐的享受! 在villa裡就能享受室內、室外兩種溫泉。此外也可以在湖畔邊發呆、釣魚或是沈靜在牡丹書房裡。 Stayed June 2016, traveled with family"Maison Polanka: "Wonderful place to stay"
We stayed at Polanka in early April and it was wonderful. All of us (2 adults, 2 boys 11 & 15) loved it. Julie & Kathy helped us arrange everything (guides, tickets to the Circus, cooking lessons) and had great suggestions for shopping & places to eat. The property is an oasis of calm; the food is fantastic (the chef who gave my son & I our cooking lesson is marvelous); and the swimming pool is the perfect antidote to hours of walking through the temples. The owners of the hotel are long-time supporters of local artists and the entire property shows a deep connection to the local community. We can't wait to go back.Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "Royal Treatment in Elegant Surroundings"
Highly personalized & friendly service in a completely restored Peranaken mansion - painted blue. Comp breakfast with both Western & Penang mains. Main dining room offers Penang fusion specialities.lunch set menu.Tugu Bali: "Delightful"
My family and I totally enjoyed our time at Hotel Tugu. Amazing entrance with a world class selection of Asian antiques. The rooms were amazing and the food and staff were all superb. Forget the traffic and congestion of Kuta, Legian and Seminyak and head to Cangguu. Their Japanese restaurant, JI, is a mustTugu Bali: "It doesn’t get any better than Tugu Hotel in Bali"
"First thing that impresses you about Tugu Hotel is the warmth of the staff! You will remember the efficient hospitality and the friendly nature for days to come! The beauty, the traditional ambience and the location takes you breath away. We were unlucky as we could not have their famed breakfast or dinner at the beach due to rains but the hotel staff was more than happy to organise the same in the best way possible indoors. We had booked their best villa i.e. the PurI Le Mayeur Villa for our honeymoon and we fell in love with the same. Every corner of the villa had such beautiful art to it. The villa is surrounded by a pond which adds to the experience of being alone with your loved one. Recommend the spa services here as they have experienced massage therapists who will give you relaxation in a traditional Balinese way that you don't experience in most spas! Also the All Day Breakfast is simply delicious and so filling! Me and my wife will always look back at this as our best stay in Bali and will definitely visit again! "
