Reverie Siam: "Beautiful resort – great place to stay"
I can't recommend Reverie Siam enough! Set in a quiet location away from the hustle and bustle of the main part of town, Reverie Siam is a relaxing and peaceful retreat. It offers beautiful and comfortable rooms with ensuites (including a deep bath tub), two pools, a restaurant, a free shuttle service into town (including providing a mobile to call them for pick-up), free wifi, and complementary breakfast. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely stay here again!Tugu Bali: "The Art, Soul and Romance of Indonesia"
"What really puts this hotel into my ‘most memorable’ category is its ability to deliver an authentic Indonesian experience, steeped in traditional culture whilst maintaining the highest degree of luxury. Nowadays that’s something that most modern hotels on the beautiful island of Bali lack. Hotel Tugu’s calming surroundings provide an incredibly peaceful atmosphere. The building itself and the expansive yet intimate grounds naturally emanate a purposeful sense of romance. It was here I found a somewhat tangible soulful experience. An experience I didn’t know I was truly seeking until I was immersed in it and one that will stay with me long since my return. Hotel Tugu claims to be the Art, Soul and Romance of Indonesia and I for one wholeheartedly agree. The Walter Spies suite was my favourite, an art deco inspired room merged with Balinese themes, complete with plunge pool and private garden. Very private. Worth noting JI at Bale' Sutra 1706' is the onsite restaurant & bar. The contemporary Japanese/Chinese fusion cuisine is a commendable example of fine dining in a casual and yet classy atmosphere. It also hosts a rooftop bar with ocean views and specialized sake bar. There is an extensive choice of fine wine available (usually so hard to find in south-east Asia) and the cocktails are next level goodness."Tugu Lombok: "A little bit of paradise"
"We have just had a 4 night break at this lovely Hotel. It has all of the wow factors and the staff treated us like royalty. It is a wonderful place to have a peaceful break away from the stress of work or city life and highly recommended. A word of warning about travelling to Lombok. Try and get a direct flight. We travelled from Singapore via Jakarta and had to change terminals which was a nightmare. We were given conflicting information about baggage and terminal numbers, which was all very stressful. "The Apsara Rive Droite: "Fantasic"
"We had tried Tamarind a few yards along the road but they were fully booked so we walked on and found this place which seemed better. Took a great table on the terrace, plenty of room and overlooking the Mekong, couldn't have bee better! We enjoyed a really fabulous meal, plenty to eat and drink with the most sublime dessert. Two beer Lao, one vodka tonic, Khan Soy, Fried Mushrooms, Fish Cak, Tapioca, green veg for 363,000. Totally awesome with great service. Stayed December 2016, traveled with family"Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "Steeped in History"
"We stayed at the mansion because we were very interested in its history. Built as home to a notable tycoon named Cheong Fatt Tze, the mansion fell into disrepair until it was restored beautifully by a local architect who also become the proprietor of the hotel. The atmosphere inside was very calming and peaceful. Our room, called the Shantung, was spacious, comfortable and well-appointed with all modern comforts. It was located in one of the side courtyard of the mansion, which they call the dry courtyard - there is a wet courtyard with ponds at the opposite side of the mansion. As hotel residents we were entitled to free guided tour, which was really informative and well-presented. It made us appreciate the history of the place and the massive efforts undertaken to preserve it even more. Local snacks was placed in our bedroom at the evening. A la carte breakfast was served in the dining room just off the central courtyard. The food was excellent. We wanted to dine at the Indigo Restaurant at the 2nd floor but unfortunately it was closed off for private function during our stay. There is a swimming pool at the side courtyard, which we didn't get to use but would be a welcome respite from Penang's heat. There's a shop too selling merchandise of the mansion."KHWAN BEACH RESORT: "Transit in Heaven"
"We spent only one night for transit in Khwan Beach, we selected the resort due its advert being first Gallery resort in Thailand, we were curious and we enjoyed over much that short stay next to beach with a manicured and excellent staff service , breakfast included was super great served in the villa, amazing privacy and yet a nice overview of the Ocean (and koh Phangan Island ) 50 meters away. Sure we will come back n stay longer... congratulation for the wholeover amazing decoration "MesaStila: "Perfect!"
"The architecture, ambience, landscape, surrounding, view, amenities, facilities, service, all perfect! We stayed at the Ambar family Villa which has beautiful view to the mountains & lush greenery. I & hubby particularly enjoyed the in-house coffee plantation tour."Reverie Siam Pai: "Best of the best"
"I have been to Reverie Siam for dinner every time I went to Pai. And, this time I decided to stay overnight with my family in 2 rooms. That is NOT disappointing at all. I love the place, staff, service and food. My father is in wheelchair and it is convenient for us to get to the room and restaurant. Even there is step at entrance to the restaurant, staff always offered help to carry our wheelchair when my father went up/down the steps. Staff were friendly and genuine. Service is 5-star. The guestroom is spacious, nice decorated and comfortable. There are plenty of rooms for you to put your stuff. The bathroom is spacious, they have shower room and bath tub in separate areas. Water pressure of shower is very good and temperature is stable. They don't have iron for you to borrow. But they offer to iron your cloth for free and it will be done in 5 minutes and delivered to your room. We had dinner at Silhouette restaurant that was lovely as always. The gentleman who runs the restaurant greeted us and recommended food & drinks. Food was delicious and tasty. After dinner, we went to the walking street by hotel's shuttle tuk tuk that was very convenient and when returned, driver came to pick us up on time as per their schedule. I love everything at this hotel and will definitely return for longer stay really soon."Jing’s Residence: "beautiful boutique hotel in the antique city of pingyao"
"you enter a magic environment when you are a guest of Jing's residence. the careful manager is a prefect host and will take care of you and your needings. the furniture in the rooms is excellent, absolutely clean, splendid the food in the Chinese traditional restaurant where you can get also continental food in the old city of pingyao an old looking hotel five stars"Les Maisons d’Itac: "Quiet retreat in top notch accomodations"
My wife and I spent 6 nights at Maison D'Itac in the lovely Bamboo room. We took a Ceres line aircon bus (105 pesos per person) from Cebu City and arrived 3 hours later. Bryon picked us up in Ronda, the nearest city - about 5 minutes from the Maison. Bryon and his staff were excellent during our stay and we enjoyed a very peaceful and relaxing time there. We even got to a wonderful pig roasted lunch that Bryon provided in a celebration of the baptism of his baby boy. and the daily breakfast is quite filling wo we ended up eating only one more meal (dinner) each day. We rented a motor bike in Moalboal (15 minutes away) as local transportation is limited. We enjoyed several nice dinners in Panagsama Beach, a divers resort area, as well as a day snorkeling, another day canyoning, and one day at the White beach. The area is somewhat laid back and not highly developed yet. It is a wonderful area to hang out and enjoy warm waters, warm days and nights. We were there in December and the temperatures were perfect, sunny days with a mild wind everyday.
