Tandjung Sari: "Perfect for Honeymooners"
My husband an I came to the beautiful place as a gift from my father in law, as he had stayed here before. We were so pleasantly surprised, the place was fantastic. The room was clean and had relaxing day beds inside and out the front of the cottage we even had out own private hut to relax in. The room was very clean and we felt very comfortable, the shower was outdoors. The best part was the beautiful gardens that surrounded us, the restaurant is on the beach, also the day spa at the hotel is the best I have ever been to. We cant wait to return.4 rivers: "Unique Experience"
"Had a really amazing and unique stay in this floating hotel. The hotel is a 30 minute boat ride from the road and so is very isolated and with only 12 Tents for guests it is very peaceful. A place to slow down and contemplate the quieter life. "Supanniga Eating Room: "Chic Atmosphere and Great food"
Was there for dinner with a group of friends. We ordered various food and every dish was simply delicious. I love the tom yum goong especially. Very flavourful with lots of ingredients. Had a wonderful night out. Will definitely return again.Tugu Bali: "Superb Dining Course"
"We visited the Tugu by chance when in search for a different dining experience. Their prefixed course menu is nothing but impressive. It is certain worth the splurge. For me the most valuable was their willingness to accommodate on vegetarian options. It is recommended to book at least a day in advance. If you have a large group, they have rooms available with a rather interesting decor theme of red lights, antique and wooden carvings (picture an imperial room in Shanghai). Service is pleasant and friendly. "Muang La Resort: "Fantastic stay"
"Stayed here with my wife and daughter for two nights. Stayed in two amazing rooms overlooking the river. Really couldn't get any closer to the river without being in it. Magical setting. Had a great welcome by the manager. Soaked in the hot spring filled hot tubs. These were perfect during this cooler time of year. Had great food...nice multi course asianfusion style dinner with great bottle of Pinot noir. Breakfast was good but suggest adding some crepes or pancakes as an option. Did a village and bush walk despite the rain and had a great time. Service here is excellent! Highly recommended!"tugu lombok: "WOW"
"From the moment we stepped out of the cab my mouth dropped! Tradition, yes and then some! Massive, manicured grounds, Infinity Pools everywhere, your eyes feast from one marvel to another! The staff couldn't be friendlier and more accommodating, they all knew my grandchildren's name in one day! If you wanted to have privacy the grounds are so massive you could have a secluded vacation here! Totally restful and awesome time here. "David’s Kitchen: "Wonderful spot for a honeymoon dinner"
We at at David's during our honeymoon and really enjoyed it. The wine selection was great and the food was incredible. We highly suggest the Braised Beef Cheek as well as the Pumpkin Soup if they have it. Staff was extremely attentive, almost too much as points but thats better than the opposite. Would definitely come back to David's again next time we are in town.Mathis Retreat: "An absolute gem!"
"Ubud is a very busy place, but once you get through the unassuming entrance on the road, you're in what feels like a very different (and much better) world. We were there for 2 nights in August (sorry for the delay in reviewing!) before going to Gili Meno. Allow for 2 hours travelling time from the airport and Padang Bai; traffic is bad here. The views are just lovely, as are the staff and Manageress, and the food is genuinely outstanding - the chefs are some of the best we have ever encountered, and we've travelled a fair amount. If you wish to have dinner in the hotel, make sure you book a table at breakfast (also very yummy) as it is often booked by people staying elsewhere, such is the popularity. It's not a big place at all though, so don't worry about it being lively. Then there's the Mojitos - oh my god!!! Quite probably the best in the world! The rooms are exceptionally well proportioned and beautifully decorated; the bathroom is VERY luxurious (in an authentic way) too. The beds are supremely comfy, and the air con is good. The hotel operates a shuttle service to Ubud Central, although it is just about walkable within 40 minutes or so; we did this when traffic was at a standstill due to an Independence Day parade. Bugs and critters were not a problem during our stay. Suitable for families with well-behaved children."The Samar: "2nd stay and always so nice!!!!"
"I was back in Siem Reap in May and stayed again at The Samar with a group of friends. The staff remembered me and my habits... and this time they propose us to experience other activities such as a picnic on a platform on the Tonle Sap, some puppet show... lot of creativity and attention to details... it made us feel we were not just in a hotel, but staying with friends sharing their secrets with us to make us discover their area. Nicely done... and the hotel has not changed in a year. Excellent maintenance. and rates are very reasonable and maybe even lower than many for a better quality."SEEDS Restaurant & Lounge: "One of the best"
With a wonderful lake view and amazing ambience, this restaurant is worth a visit, even though it may be slightly out of the way. The food is delicious, with lunch sets that are of good value. The service is impeccable, as with people in Myanmar in general. Make a reservations for choice seats. Alternatively, go in the evening for seats near the lake. (It seems too hot in the afternoon when I was there.) I loved the classy decor, with their handmade pottery dining ware!Travel Asia with Secret Retreats
