The Apsara Rive Droite: "Great location, friendly, helpful staff and great breakfast"

Review by: Andrew S | Source: Trip Advisor
"Stayed at the Apsara for 5 nights - room on second floor with a view over the Nam Khan river. Accommodation comfortable and the breakfast served in the other, main hotel building - usually by the manager Mr Lum - was a great start to each day. The second floor rooms in the separate building share a balcony which has seats that allow you to watch the world go by. The hotel is located very close to the main road of the old town - a quick walk up interesting lane ways but far enough away to not be bothered by the crowds who go to the alms giving each morning. The Apsara is located very close to several very good/authentic restaurants and has its own restaurant. The only negative issue worth noting was the floor boards creak very loudly and we couldn't find a route to avoid the creaking ones....our neighbours would have heard us moving around as we heard them, but it was a small issue. Overall we were very happy with our choice of accommodation in Luang Prabang - close enough to all the action without being in the middle of it."

Tugu Lombok: "AN AMAZING BEAUTIFUL FANTASY OF AN HOTEL!"

Review by: 49karenl | Source: Trip Advisor
"There is no other words to describe The Tugu other than magical, fantasy and beautiful. This is without doubt the most unusual hotel I have ever stayed at and i've been in the industry since 1978 so I have been to a LOT of hotels! The Tugu is one of the most sublime, comfortable, luxurious but not pretentious hotels I have ever had the pleasure of staying at. Everything is done with the guests comfort and pleasure in mind. We stayed in the most wonderful suite (room 103) which is situated facing out onto the beach but I shan't give more details of this wonderful room as I do not want to spoil others pleasure of surprise when they arrive at these rooms to stay in the future. All I would say is the supplement is worth every penny. The bed is the MOST COMFORTABLE of any hotel anywhere! Indeed it was the main subject of conversation throughout the hotel between guests - they literally hug and love you! Breakfast is outstanding - choose anything and as much as you require from the breakfast menu at anytime of the day! Wonderful and relaxing with many many special homemade and original items to enjoy. Lunch and Dinner is excellent and can be enjoyed ANYWHERE within the hotel grounds without any of the ridiculous supplements that so many hotels charge for this. The grounds and buildings - words cannot do justice you will just have to come and see the wonder of an hotel for yourself. The gardens are stunning, the spa a miniture in the style of Borobodur that's without the two restaurant buildings. This hotel in case you had not guessed is very very special....................... But only to those who seek peace, tranquility and comfort. If nightlife and constant daytime noise and activities are your thing this won't be! In concludsion, Hanny the Manager and her entire team of staff have actually got EVERYTHING right, which is so rare. Highly commended for a really enjoyable stay."

Les Maisons d’Itac: "Quiet retreat in top notch accomodations"

Review by: Rick W | Source: Trip Advisor
My wife and I spent 6 nights at Maison D'Itac in the lovely Bamboo room. We took a Ceres line aircon bus (105 pesos per person) from Cebu City and arrived 3 hours later. Bryon picked us up in Ronda, the nearest city - about 5 minutes from the Maison. Bryon and his staff were excellent during our stay and we enjoyed a very peaceful and relaxing time there. We even got to a wonderful pig roasted lunch that Bryon provided in a celebration of the baptism of his baby boy. and the daily breakfast is quite filling wo we ended up eating only one more meal (dinner) each day. We rented a motor bike in Moalboal (15 minutes away) as local transportation is limited. We enjoyed several nice dinners in Panagsama Beach, a divers resort area, as well as a day snorkeling, another day canyoning, and one day at the White beach. The area is somewhat laid back and not highly developed yet. It is a wonderful area to hang out and enjoy warm waters, warm days and nights. We were there in December and the temperatures were perfect, sunny days with a mild wind everyday.

Tugu Bali: "tranquil, beautiful hotel with impeccable service"

Review by: ningaloo | Source: Trip Advisor
Absolutely loved this hotel. So well looked after by the gorgeous staff. Fabulous food with breakfast served anywhere anytime in your choice of private enclaves around the hotel. It was a peaceful & beautifully appointed hotel that has tons of Indonesian charm - stunning gardens & antiques. Husband & son were happy to go out surfing, but I didn't want to leave the tranquility of Tugu.

Tandjung Sari: "Luxurious"

Review by: Bettyjane L | Source: tripadvisor.com
Unfortunately we only had one night here...it was so beautiful and authentic, the staff so friendly, perfect location and our room was a true haven of indulgence. The dancers, at the dinner show, were the best we saw and were truly amazing. Buffet dinner was good too.

Manda De Laos: "Beautiiful ambience; very good food"

Review by: AndoverDan | Source: Trip Advisor
This restaurant is outdoors surrounding a pond. The frogs supply background music. The ambience is very pleasant. It is upscale for Luang Prabang and the food is more refined (and tourist friendly) than most places. We enjoyed it very much. It is pricey for Luang Prabang, but not by U.S. standards. Friendly service

Sukoon Houseboat: "paradise"

Review by: Orbitaleee | Source: Trip Advisor
We had a lovely time at Sukoon. High end houseboat with heating, fancy bathroom with a bath - it is a five star experience. It has a lovely sun deck - perfect to lounge in the evening sun, read a book, just watch life go by and sundowners. It is in one corner of the Dal lake so pretty private. Highly recommended!

4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Simply stunning"

Review by: NCJCEngland | Source: Trip Advisor
"My wife and I booked our trip to Cambodia a year ago. The 4 Rivers Floating Lodge came highly recommended so we were really looking forward to our stay. The pictures on the website do not do it justice. The location is stunning, the rooms are wonderful, the food is superb and the staff are some of the nicest people we have met on our trip. We went on a couple of excursions which were both great fun. The guides are very knowledgeable and ensure you have a great time. Do not miss the trip to see the fireflies. It’s only a short trip by boat but really impressive. The owners deserve a special mention for the great work they are doing with the local community. They employ a number of people from the local villages and I understand that they support a local school. I would go back tomorrow if I could. Nick & Jo"

Rachamankha: "Such a great place"

Review by: Matt W | Source: Trip Advisor
"We were very surprised by the quality of the staff ans hotel itself. Buetifully planned, very well maintained witch charming atmpsphere of an old ""monastery"" type of building. Staff is vert well trained, good English, very helpful and attentive. Rooms are of good size, nicely decorated, very high ceilings, perfect AC, good shower. Breakfast really with plenty of choice both on buffe and menu. Location is quiet, in a tiny street but very close to main attractions. Wifi OK. Nice pool, well maintained greenery. Very much recomendable place. Stayed January 2017, traveled as a couple"

Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "Amazing"

Review by: barryswain75 | Source: Trip Advisor
Tiger Mountain Lodge is amazing. Though access may be slightly problematic for the less agile such as myself, any efforts are certainly worthwhile. My room (7) had breathtaking views over the mountains and (very kindly ) the weather Gods lifted the clouds enabling the magnificent scene to unfold. Though this reality was obviously outside the control of the lodge management , the friendly and efficient care that was delivered throughout the stay at the lodge. My food requirements are unusual to say the least, but an understanding staff managed to accommodate those peculiarities very efficiently. All aspect of care lived up to or exceeded expectations and Grateful thanks are due to a very efficient team.
