Les Maisons d’Itac: "Like home..only better"

"It has been a month since my friends and I had the pleasure to spend the most relaxing time at les Maisons. What can I say, it is a piece of paradise. We were really happy and so relaxed. The staff is more than staff, I really want to describe them as friends and family. Brian, Raiden, Marvin, Rose, Leah and of course Stacy, and our protector and compansion Itac. We miss all of them so much, we get nostalgic and homesick when we look at the pictures and videos we took. Once you have been there, you do not want to leave. If you have to, like us..one will be gripped by this constant wanderlust! Thank you so much for one of the best times! We will be back! FYI, the food is also really good!! =)"

Tandjung Sari: "Perfect for Honeymooners"

My husband an I came to the beautiful place as a gift from my father in law, as he had stayed here before. We were so pleasantly surprised, the place was fantastic. The room was clean and had relaxing day beds inside and out the front of the cottage we even had out own private hut to relax in. The room was very clean and we felt very comfortable, the shower was outdoors. The best part was the beautiful gardens that surrounded us, the restaurant is on the beach, also the day spa at the hotel is the best I have ever been to. We cant wait to return.

Tugu Lombok: "Quirky and very special."

This is such a quirky hotel. I was slightly alarmed on guest impressions because this is definitely not a sophisticated, one dimensional hotel. This is a one off. Beautiful situation right on the beach, big rooms with outside bathrooms and plunge pools, huge grounds, two pools - the new one bring a large infinity pool with fresh water and I always had it to myself). Plenty of sunbeds so you never had to rush anywhere and the staff were all completely charming. We were made to feel very welcome and everyone knew our names. The manager was very visible and personable and, like all the staff, seemed to genuinely enjoy his job. A very special place. Recommend the BBQ on the beach (the staff went to great lengths to make it special and the food was fab). Also recommend Gillian Island snorkelling trip where we saw lots of turtles which was a highlight

Villa Song Saigon: "Villa Song: a wonderful Art Deco hotel occupying a quiet position on the banks of the Saigon river"

Great hotel, great food (apart from breakfast, which was average), fantastic bedroom and really helpful staff. Annoying niggly problems with signing bills and a trainee at breakfast barely understood English. Nice free mini-bar in room, with water, soft drinks and beer.

Noel Rodrigo’s Leopard Safaris: "Luxury in the wild"

"Our 2 night stay with NRLS will be a treasured memory. The luxury tents were set amongst trees to ensure privacy and were well equipped with lots of little extras including a flush toilet and a hot shower, without taking away from the camping feel. The atmosphere was friendly and we quickly felt relaxed and at ease with the staff and other guests. The food and drinks were plentiful and served communally allowing for good round table conversations with other travellers and our guides. Most of the food was Sri Lankan which was tasty and beautifully presented which added to the cultural experience. One of the highlights of our stay was our guide Dhanu. From the moment we arrived we sensed the passion and drive he had for his job. He has great knowledge of Yala and the wildlife which he shared constantly during our 4 drives as well as giving great photography tips. We were lucky enough to have 2 leopard sightings one of which lasted for about 15 minutes with no other jeeps around. We also saw elephants, crocodiles and lots of birdlife. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at NRLS and would highly recommend this safari experience. Thank you all for a wonderful wildlife adventure."

Pindaya Farm House: "Very good"

Our 2-day stay at the Pindaya Farm House (formerly Thahara Pindaya) was really wonderful. The hosts, Aye Aye, Ko Yangon and their staff took very good care of us. Our room was very nice, the food home cooked and very tasty, and the sightseeing recommendations very helpful. We visited of course the famous Pindaya Caves, but after we had come back from the about 1.5 hrs easy trek (round trip) to the green tea plantations on the same mountain (we recommend the trek!). Shan paper making was another very nice stop. Our hosts took us to a weaver in a local village, away from the tourist area, simple but kind of a hidden gem. Thank you very much to our hosts and Aye Aye's sister for the wonderful stay we had at their guest house.

Neeleshwar Hermitage: "Indian Paradise"

"We spent 4 days at neeleshwar hermitage and everything was perfect. The service is amazing with nice and ever smiling staff. The beach restaurant is incredible: picture a few table scattered below coconut trees and looking out on the Indian ocean. Food is fresh, delicate and flavourful. Special mention for the breakfast that combines all the above. Difficult to imagine what could be improved!"

Locavore: "Best. Lunch. Ever"

"So glad someone suggested we go here while in Ubud (and also recommended we book ahead!!). Amazing, interesting dishes without being pretentious. Lots of local delicacies we had never heard of, but loved! We ordered the 5 course lunch, but in reality got about 12 courses of all these amazingly presented little bites. Book now."

Tugu Lombok: "world class tropical island resort"

"We recently stayed at hotel Tugu for our honeymoon. From the moment we were picked up at the airport the hotel staff were friendly, attentive and helpful. The hotel staff were always very friendly, and happily greeted us at breakfast, lunch and dinner and whenever we were out and about in the resort. The staff were very enthusiastic to offer us activities around the island during our stay. We were pretty much able to make any of our Lombok dreams come true. We were able to experience traditional weaving in a traditional women's weaving village, amazing water falls at sanur, my husband hand fished with the local fisherman, snorkeling with turtles in beautiful clear waters off the Gili islands and a beautiful romantic beach side dinner at sunset. our honeymoon at hotel Tugu was an absolutely amazing experience. We were welcomed like family, a perfect getaway. Complementary breakfast and afternoon tea was always wonderful and of the highest quality. The complimentary massages were very welcoming as well, thank you. Half way through our stay we were generously upgraded to an Oceanside villa with a plunge pool which was extremely generous, thank you Mr Henry. We traveled in low season and it felt like we pretty much had the whole resort all to ourselves. If you want seclusion, privacy, away from ""the rat race"", relaxation, beautiful surroundings, wonderful atmosphere ,world class service and a romantic tropical island beach resort get away, we would highly recommend hotel tugu Lombok. A special thanks to hotel manager Henry and every single one of his amazing team on there attention to detail and customer service we received at all times throughout our stay. This place stunned me. The grounds were beautiful and peaceful. The staff was great and very helpful. Every single thing I ate at the resort was a total culinary pleasure. Breakfast on the beach, candlelit dinner on the rooftop, fresh juice by the pool. We went in the down season and it meant that we felt basically alone. Our room and private pool were so enchanting and the recovered and traditional artwork all over the resort really makes this place something special. Probably one of my favourite places I've ever stayed if you just want to escape. There is also a number of interesting things to do around the resort like visiting the Gili Islands or the volcano. A++
