Inle Heritage Stilt Houses: "Lovely place for lunch"
After a busy morning sightseeing we were taken here for lunch. Sitting on the veranda overlooking the boats zipping up and down the canal this is a restful place to have lunch. We had the chicken cooked in coconut juice served wrapped in a banana, wonderful. This was followed by the most wonderful EVER banana cake, out of this world.Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "Thanks a million"
"Sorry TMPL, rather behind schedule. Possibly a combination of -3C welcome home and December overtaking me. Two visits in one year are definitely worth it. Albeit earlier than expected as in a backhanded way Saga messing up actually did me a favour, It was great to be back at the Lodge. Must make it longer next time and hopefully go for walkabouts with Hari. Must up the exercise regime. I was in need of TLC and was not disappointed. Looked after by all the guys. Everything down to a fine art. Including my escorts home in the dark. Sunrise at the pool then wake up coffee delivered to my veranda. Great breakfast on the terrace with Machapuchare and friends looking over. Fantastic food coming from Lalu and the team in the kitchen. No continental for me when Nepali is available. I could do with their help a week Sunday as I'm in charge for the first time in 10 years. Ouch! My second attempt at rumble tumble was only just edible. I hope Lalu's cook book is available at the Lodge. New Zealand is a long way away. So on that happy note, very many thanks. I shall wish my life away looking forward to my next trip. Can't wait! M"Satri House: "Ms Sorana Reichman"
"We were in an organized tour from Asia travel . They recommend us the hotel . The hotel was what we expected and more with big rooms clean not noisy big nice pool. Good breakfast and very good service . It was Giovanni that receive us and gave us explanation and I like very much also to speak with him Italian (one of the beautiful language on my opinion ) You can take tuck tuck to city center or go by foot 10 minutes We highly recommend this hotel for the service the rooms and overall"MesaStila: "Great Place to Escape the Rat Race"
"We had 5 wonderful days at Mesa Stila to unwind. We were pampered by their staff from the moment we arrived on the property and when we were dropped off at the airport. Staff were helpful and gracious. The food was diverse enough to keep us at the resort and didn't feel to need to hunt elsewhere. We enjoyed yoga and coffee tour on site. Our combined sunrise Borobudur and Prambanan tour was effortless as Ruffian was a skilled driver with excellent English and shared interesting local knowledge with us. Definitely the way to tour temples if you have children. The Resort and Spa is not cheap by South East Asia standards but the experience was well worth the price if you are looking to re-energise in a tranquil place filled with traditional Indonesia buildings (relocated and rebuild from other parts of Java), expansive and lush grounds, views of nearby volcanic mountains and thoughtful staff. Stayed April 2017, traveled with family"Arumdalu: "Explore Belitung"
"Beautiful place.. Sangat cocok untuk honeymoon, suasana yang tentram, ditunjang dengan keindahan alam yang sangat luar biasa bagusnya. Sedikit masukan, lebih nyaman jika mau trip ke belitung pakai travel resmi.. seperti Prmi belitung travel, karena mereka lebih transparan dan fleksibel dalam handle customer."Villa Song Saigon: "Amazing stay"
"We had quite an amazing stay at Villa Song in the beautiful Artists Suite. We travelled with our two little boys & the room allowed us to spread out with ease & the boys slept in the separated dining area which was great. There was a huge terrace in our room overlooked the Saigon & we spent the later part of the evenings drinking the complementary bottles of Merlot & watching the various boats pass by. Breakfast was sumptuous, fresh fruit, eggs Benedict & pancakes to name but a few. We also had a delicious dinner on our first evening, a fusion set menu with delightful cocktails all within the beautifully lit terrace overlooking the river. Lots to do & see, one of the highlights for us was a visit to Cu Chu tunnels, which the boys loved. The hotel is a little out of town but with plentiful cheap taxis & a boat shuttle it really is a little paradise in Ho Chi Minh. Huge thanks to the Manager & staff for making us feel so welcome & recommending great restaurants in the City. 3 nights was simply not enough, go you won't regret it! "THE ISLAND LODGE: "A great and cosy place to recharge ones batteries"
"We had a short stay in The Island Lodge from 8th to 10th of April - I can say, a great finding! It made us extend our stay right after the first three hours on Michels premises. For us, since we were looking for a quiet place away from the busy days in Ho Chi Minh City, it was an excellent option. It was a great experience in all aspect. You will find a very idyllic small road leading to the west-end of Thoi Son island followed by a small path guiding to the entrance of the resort. A beautiful, silent place, which was obviously built and choosen by someone paying a lot of attention to details, will appear. Rooms are very clean and harmonic, the staff is extraordinarily friendly and attentive, food and service met our expectations. Overall a very cosy atmosphere - a place to recharge ones batteries :) "Rachamankha: "A haven of peace and tranquillity"
"Simply stunning hotel - design, decoration and the gardens. All these coupled with the good service made our experience an exceptional one. Breakfast at the beautiful courtyard was a great start to each day. And dinner at the hotel restaurant was accompanied by live lanna music - soothing and relaxing. Would highly recommend this hotel for anyone who wishes to escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. We will be back!"Sanak Retreat Bali: "Peaceful stay in the middle of the rice fields"
We really enjoyed our stay at the Sanak Retreat. The villas two bedrooms are comfortable in the middle of the rice fields. The food is excellent, the spa is amazing and the staff is friendly. I recommend a trek of 3 hours to the Banuatis waterfalls.Inle Princess Resort: "Charming hotel in a beautiful place"
As part of our trip around Myanmar, we spent two nights at the Inle Princess Resort. We arrived at night, meaning we didn't see the grounds until the sun came up the next morning - it was magical. Little bungalows either directly overlook Inle Lake, or two sweet ponds covered with lotus flowers within the resort. The rooms may be a little dated but are very well maintained and truly charming - lovely painting on the walls no matter where you go in the resort. There is also an in-room fireplace for the winter-time where staff can keep a fire going all night! Beds are very comfortable, all the amenities are there and should you seek more the staff will go out of their way to accommodate you. The out-door shower is fantastic! Especially during a rain storm... very romantic. The food is delicious, all locally sourced and prepared either Myanmar style or Western. I had dietary requirements as I have allergies and they were very helpful. Truly very delicious- don't miss the tofu dish on the Myanmar menu, and you must try Shaan noodles for breakfast. The pool is also adorable, set in the middle of rice paddies. Delightful. Our stay was really wonderful, and visiting Inle Lake was a magical experience within itself. Probably our favorite hotel from the entire trip. Thank you!
