David’s Kitchen: "INCREDIBLE"
The experience and food at this restaurant was one of my top highlights in my Southeast Asia trip. David is the most friendly, attentive restaurant owner I've ever met. The food was incredible - I still dream of the gnocchi and pumpkin soup. The service is unmatched. We were greeted with a sign for our table, a rose, and a personal email from David later that night. Most romantic, delicious food - must go!Supanniga Luxury Bangkok River Cruises: "Great food and a great way to see the river"
This is definitely a very good alternative to the other cruises. It's quiet, relaxed, the food is great (and they were very kind with providing non-seafood options when asked in advance), and the glass of champagne was certainly welcome too!Inle Princess Resort: "Superb stay in a fantastic resort"
We spent two wonderful nights at the hotel. The design of the estate and, in particular, the rooms/houses has been beautifully thought through to create a self-contained oasis of calm and peacefulness, just what we wanted after a succession of very busy days sightseeing! The staff were excellent and the service impeccable, the food was very good. Strongly recommended.David’s Kitchen: "Amazing food"
Went there last year with my parents. Amazing food and restaurant. David had a nice chat with parents. You need to make a reservation!David’s Kitchen: "Unforgettable first anniversary meal."
I don’t really know where to start with this review as so much has been said before but you really must treat yourself to David’s Kitchen. Not one detail has been overlooked, staff are impeccable, quality ingredients abound, presentation is exquisite. This is truly a unique dining experience. David is such a humble host, sharing the success of his restaurant with his charming wife Prom and the wonderful Thai chef, along with his attentive staff. It’s clear to see he has a passion to create a wonderful dining room with superb food and excellent service, this he manages with ease and charm, his reward is to see people from all over the world enjoying themselves. Thanks for a fantastic evening it was truly a great pleasure for us both.Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "Magnificent hotel experience in Nepal"
Beautiful. Exceptional level 10 service. To die for views! Quiet get away - absolutely worth the uphill trek to experience. Loved everything about it and will absolutely return next trip to Nepal! Marcus and his team will make you feel welcome, and you will be spoiled! The Island Lodge: "Very recommended place"
I didn’t stay here, I only visit friend whom was staying there. This place a hidden gem, very quiet and peaceful. I really impressed when the owner also greet the their customers and visitors, the staff also very friendly. I tried their croissant, the taste just so lovely. Maybe sometime I would love to come back and stay there with friends for a night.Sandat Glamping Tents: "Rice paddy paradise"
"I had a wonderful 2 night stay a Sandat and it was a welcome change after the hustle of Ubud. I love what they have done and how the concept of the place works, especially the green philosophy. My tent was super secluded and really breeze, something I was scared of with no aircon. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful at all times and the shuttles to go to and from town easily organized. My one and only tiny remark is that the food good be better. They have a great selection of cocktails and local wines and the food is okay. I just think don't think it is up to par with the rest of the experience which is truly magical."Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "Tranquility and service at its finest"
"I stayed at the lodge with my son and husband for three nights, and it was a highlight in our trip to Nepal. The location of the lodge is high in the mountains and away from the city. It is cooler than Pokhara City, peaceful, and the air is fresh. You will get to see magnificent views and its tranquility is simply inspiring. We stayed at cabin 7 and it was perfect for us in terms of privacy, space, and amenities. It has a balcony from where we could see the Annapurna Himalayas, beautiful sunrises, and get glimpses of birds, butterflies, and all kinds of insects (I got lulled to sleep by insect sounds in the evening). Our stay there was a relaxing pattern of glorious sunrises and sunsets (we were very lucky in this regard), nice but challenging hikes, and afternoons of reading, writing, chess and the Nepali game of “tiger and goats” (which the staff taught my son to play). We also enjoyed the pool (it is unheated but is a cool respite in the afternoon after our hikes), which has its own surreal view of Machapuchare and the Annapurna ranges. The staff members are wonderful. They are very attentive and accommodating and I really like how engaging they were with my son (who is 8 years old and very inquisitive). When my son found the library and the display it had, one of the staff kindly explained the specimens (e.g. snakes and insects) and tools (e.g. fish traps); and, I appreciate very much that the staff was quite knowledgeable (as affirmed during the hikes we had with him as our guide where he was able to tell us more about the people, places, flora and fauna, etc. in Nepal). You will definitely feel that Marcus and the staff members are doing their best to make your stay as comfortable as possible. My family is vegetarian and one of the compromises we’ve long accepted when traveling pertains to food. However, the food we were served at Tiger Mountain Lodge was simply delectable! I cannot state this enough. Each dish was delicious and I went so far as to ask for a recipe from their kitchen. The juices were always fresh, the ingredients top-grade, and you know you’re not served anything from a can. Aside from the location, service and food, I also want to highlight their advocacy for responsible tourism and accountability to the community where they are (especially within the context of developing countries like Nepal). I am supportive of the various ways in which they lessen the impact they have on the environment (e.g. minimizing the use of water bottles, not using liquid shampoos, etc) and also how they are building relationships with locals and are taking part in improving people’s lives there. I would definitely recommend the Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge to family and friends."Inle Heritage Stilt Houses: "Just perfect!"
