Neeleshwar Hermitage: "THE BEST"
"Just returned from my sixth visit and again it was just perfect. This probably explains why 10 out of 15 bungalows were occupied by repeat visitors. The surroundings are beautiful. The rooms are well appointed. The housekeeping is first class. The Spa experience is focussed on you. The complimentary yoga is a great start to any day. The food is memorable. But it's the people who really make it just perfect. They are friendly, caring, pleased that you have chosen to visit them and totally focused on making everyone's visit perfect. Thank you."LEOPARD SAFARIS - WILPATTU: "Highlight of our trip"
"We booked our safari with Noel's leopard safaris after reading the other reviews even though initially we thought it seemed expensive. The whole thing was brilliant, our camp host and safari guide Pila, is a walking encyclopedia and wildlife expert. He also has eyes like a hawk and an amazing ability to spot hidden wildlife. We arrived each morning as the park opened and though there were never many other jeeps he always lost them. Possibly beginners luck, we saw 2 leopards and a sloth bear on our first safari, along with a miriad of smaller mammals and gorgeous birds. Then on our last trip finally saw 2 elephants. This would have been enough but in addition the tents are comfortable and the food delicious. If you are not sure don't hesitate you won't regret it. "Tugu Lombok: "Paradise after a lonng days travel"
We travelled from Bali to Lombok intending to stay at a home stay, we arrived late in the afternoon & found out the homestay I had booked was 80ks away. Found some helpful locals who took us to Tugu Hotel Lombok, initially I was blown away by the cost but let me tell you that this was an awesome place to stay. Our host was Henry and the houseperson Zul, they were amazing. Zul made a beautiful entrance to our room with candles, made towels into swans, elephants & most beautifully an alligator. Had a lovely meal in the restaurant. We would thoroughly recommend this piece of paradise.Locavore: "FANTASTISK!"
MesaStila: "Java at its best"
"MesaStila is one of those places that blows you away. So many things about our trip far exceeded our expectations. The food was awesome. The rooms are beautiful. A highlight was the Easter Egg painting hunt that the staff ran for our two little boys. Yokyo (maybe not correct spelling) was sweet and made sure our little ones felt special. Thank you. We hope to be back. "Nam Bo Boutique Hotel: "Quaint hotel in a great location"
"On arrival we were invited to sit down & enjoy a welcome drink & snacks whilst checking in. We were then taken to our suite, which was unexpectedly spacious with a separate lounge/dining room & lovely hardwood floors throughout. Blossoms on the bed were another nice touch. However, the highlight of this hotel is the restaurant on the roof, which provides top quality food together with fabulous views of the promenade & Mekong. The breakfasts are exceptional with trays of pastries & fruit, freshly squeezed juices, yogurt & hot food cooked to order. We were there for dinner on Christmas Eve & Santa visited the restaurant & gave us all very nice presents. This was another unexpected treat. All of the staff were friendly & helpful and the service throughout our stay was of the highest quality. We would thoroughly recommend this hotel."David’s Kitchen: "Great ambience, lovely host"
Enjoyed our meal here Some of the best service I've experienced in a while Food was tasty and cocktails pretty good David was extremely welcoming Very grateful And loved the personal touches BravoChakrabongse Villas: "Service and charm in a beautiful oasis!"
We are a family of 4 adults and we stayed at Chakrabongse Villas for 5 nights and fell in love with the beauty and charm of this wonderful residence. We usually stay at one of the top 5* hotels in Bangkok but are so thrilled to have found this gem. It was fully booked while we were there and, while there are only 6 or so rooms, we never saw another guest the whole time. From waking up in the early morning to walk around the palace walls or giving alms with the lovely Ms Atom to dipping in the pool to cool down after a long day of exploring, we felt so at home and taken care of at the beautiful villas. The breakfasts on the river were a wonderful start to the day and our dinner was an experience in Thai cuisine that we will never forget. I have seldom stayed at any hotel where I have felt that the staff genuinely care for their guests in the way that we experienced at Chakrabongse. Thank you Ms Atom for making our stay and experience to remember, we can't wait to see you again!Satri House: "Lovely oasis in Luang Prabang"
"We stayed at Satri House for 3 nights at the end of our Laos trip. The hotel rooms are beautifully refurbished and full of antiques (and have modern showers & A/C!). Rooms fumigated every night too to get rid of mosquitos. Lovely pool to relax in and little poolside bar. Free bikes on offer to explore the city and the staff are very helpful in arranging / suggesting places to visit and restaurants. No TVs in the room help relax and adjust to the pace of life! Stayed December 2016, traveled as a couple"The Cabochon Hotel: "Our home in Bangkok"
"We so loved every moment of our stay here. Everything we needed was at this hotel and we felt so at home. There is an excellent Thai restaurant in the hotel and we so apprecated our beautiful Thai breakfasts although a 'Western' menu is available. There is a warm intimate atmosphere here and yet there is space to sit quietly alone if required. The roof top pool is a lovely place to relax. 'Happy hour' was a ritual we so looked forward to. The soi is marvellous..where one may find a super restaurant and a great night theatre. It is short stroll to the Skytrain and it's easy to explore the local area. The very best thing about this hotel is the beautiful staff.Ms Yeh and her staff are delightful and we so look forwards to our return. This hotel just nourished us in every way Stayed January 2017, traveled as a couple"
