Golden Buddha Beach Resort: "Heavenly eco-resort at the end of the world on a dream island"
We were absolutely sensational Baan Mangon! Best location, sensationally beautiful 28 beach villas, all of which include private individuals, which are rented from the hotel. The clubhouse / restaurant and reception with shop are like old colonial villas from Indochina with many antiques. One beach is completely deserted and miles long, the other in a child-friendly lagoon. At low tide you can walk in far into paddling in flight with a kayak in the Mangrovenflüsschen and watch monkeys. On this beach it has the pizza hut and lounge chairs with umbrellas. So I do not have to eat pizza in Thailand (but they are great!), I ordered a Thai Pèicknick in the restaurant and have it delivered to the scooter. The whole resort is simply sensational, a dream, absolutely amazing breathtakingly beautiful! All eating organic, much planted himself, every day four new starters and main dishes fresh. Perfect!Supanniga Luxury Bangkok River Cruises: "A delicious way to ring in a new year!"
The late night champagne cruise to welcome 2018 was great. The "tapas"-like menu was delicious and creative and the champagne, cocktails and service were great, too! My only wish is that there had been some 'kanom' (sweets) at the end.Rachamankha: "Amber from Seattle"
Beautifully designed boutique hotel on the edge of Old Town. Staff is friendly and very helpful. Restaurant has great food at good prices. I would not hesitate to return here for my escape to serenity in Chiang Mai.villa song: "Postmodern Colonial Style Perfection"
"In district 2, Villa Song is perfectly located along the Saigon river with scenes of the rural outskirts and industrial trade by cargo ship directly before you, to give a sense of location and culture. Being slightly out of the centre of the city and right on the banks of the river, means the air there is a slightly more fresh. Villa Song is a mightily impressive building, reminiscent of a palatial colonial outpost, yet it is only a few years old. The service is exceptional and the catering is world class. The outdoor bar and dining area is truly lovely. You can only be made to feel special here and although we only stayed 2 nights, my Husband and I found this hotel to be faultless. A nice touch was the complementary mini bar, including water, juices, soya drinks and beer, and fresh tropical fruits. The fixtures and fittings are top quality too, solid and robust and classically designed...everything for your comfort. We adored our stay here."Locavore: "A Treat for all the Senses"
One of the 10 best meals I've ever had in my life. My husband and I each had the five course tasting menu, sharing the meat and vegetarian options. We simply lost count of the "extras" we were given. The food was fresh, imaginative, gorgeous, and so delicious! A meal like this in Manhattan would cost four times as much - and would not be presented by such delightful servers. I'd go every week if I lived near Ubud.Villa Mathis: "Awesome Wedding Venue"
We went for a wedding and family and friends had booked the entire Villa for the time we were there. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the rooms, lounging areas and pool areas were fantastic. My only concern was to do with the tile areas around the pool as they got extremely slippery when wet and as there are no fences around the pool areas probably not really suitable for younger children who cant swim, having said that my grandchildren who are nearly 10 and 5 had a wonderful time. I would have no hesitation recommending this beautiful Villa.Reverie Siam: "Chilled out elegance and locally sourced food"
I loved our stay here - the pool, the rooms (upgraded not once, but twice!), the wonderful staff and service - this is a romantic and nostalgic resort nestling in the mountains in the town of Pai. Pai itself has changed a lot and become more touristy over the years, but staying here gives you a feeling of being cocooned in time and luxury. The rooms are beautiful with an old colonial feel, and the saltwater infinity pool looks out to the mountains. Often we were the only people in it. The staff were unfailingly helpful, nothing was to much trouble. The food is amazing!!!! The chef really knows his stuff, and sources local produce. We were supposed to stay two nights at the start of a two week stay in the area, but once we found this place my partner wouldn't let us leave :-) I'd definitely go back to this dreamy place whenever I could..... (travelled May 2015 but option to date didn't go back that far)Jing’s Residence: "Exceptional charm and luxury In an ancient city"
After staying in wonderful luxury hotels in three cities in China, our arrival at Jing's residence was a delightful and very satisfying change. From the moment we stepped inside this lovingly restored boutique hotel we knew we were in for a treat. And what a treat it was! From the a decor that featured beautiful objects everywhere we looked and the rooms that provided every comfort to the charming dining room and terrace and well stocked bar, we felt well cared for and well fed. There was always a special surprise - such as the bag of honey dates waiting in the room to appease traveller's fatigue or the lovely handmade object left on the turned down bed at night. And the staff was incredibly cheerful and helpful. Our only regret was that we could not stay longer.Neeleshwar Hermitage: "Is heaven better"
We first visited this resort two years ago. Our SECOND visit to this wonderful place included two nights on their houseboat The Lotus and four nights at the resort. It is very difficult to add to previous glowing reviews except to say that it still remains the most lovely experience. The staff are a delight, nothing is too much trouble, the food is of the highest standard and we think a privilege to be able to stay here. The attention to detail is a huge complement to the management. The Cabochon Hotel: "charming and intimate"
My room was very private, comfortable and everything worked well. No fuss and elegant, yet quite different form larger hotels. Very individual. the pool was very nice for a dip at the end of the day. the breakfast in the library is great as is the restaurant. Everything is well done.Travel Asia with Secret Retreats
